The "Spacegun" P-90 also can fit into the slot where the binocular goes. Absolute S+ tier when it comes to sidearms.

@@HighRiskV the PP-2000 can't. The MP7 and the P90 are the only two guns that aren't pistols but can fit into other slots besides the weapon slots, like pistols can. You can check pretty easily if you use the debug menu or just start a save as duty since they get the pp-2000 as a starting weapon
@@joaogomes9405 Wrong. SR-2M can also fit. >_> Currently using it on my Duty playtrough. You need to magdump some tougher cookies with it tho. It is not a bad gun but P-90 ammo is better.

The MP7 and P90 can also be put into the vision or melee slots like pistols, meaning you can have them as sidearms while carrying two other weapons and even use them one handed with the detectors or rf receiver out.
I sort of wish you could put the lower tier 9x18 smgs in those slots too, late game it always becomes a 357 pistol and either MP7 or SR2 depending on my faction, a 9x18 smg would fill the same roll as the 357 for less ammo weight and cost

2. Both Thompsons are way better than you give them credit for. Having used the M1A1 extensively I now think that's it's actually the best starting gun in the entire game because where the hell else are you going to find a full auto .45 this early into the game? Also you can click the underbarrel key to switch it to actually usable ironsights, which makes it equivalent to a UMP with a bigger mag but no scopes. As for the 1928, it's basically the same thing, but with more fire rate, a bigger mag, and worse ironsights.
Counterpoint, what the hell do you need a full auto 45 for this early into the game. The thompsons are overkill. Early game and in the south any of the 45 or 357 handguns are more than good enough at killing mutants, the shotguns are better at killing both mutants and stalkers, and even a bizon with HP rounds or the PPSH make for very cheap full auto mutant killers, with the bizon also being able to take scopes and the PPSH having a huge mag and great firerate. Late game, the UMP and the vector existing make the thompsons completely irrelevant. They're on the same category of the mosin, usable early game but far too overkill for it and with better options available, worthless mid and late game because much better options exist.
@@joaogomes9405I'd argue if you're a new/clumsy/slow player the bad sights can actually offset the M1A1's power. Fighting mutants you want good all around fov to track movement and not get tunnel visioned. Personally I went from the M1A1 to UMP just for the sight options.
If you're good enough to get through all situations with strong mutant pistols (worth doing mid-late game anyway), you're at least always free to not use the Thompson. Yeah, definitely a tough place balance wise and removing it might actually be fine.
early game I tend to prefer an SMG in either 9mm variant and use it for low tier stalkers and mutants since they're more multirole, the 45 SMGs are just too pricey early game to use in my opinion but I do see the appeal if you are fine with eating the cost

@@jimbothegymbro7086 this might seem counterintuitive, but Hydra-shock is actually more cost-effective early game than both 9mm HP rounds, dealing something like 20% more damage per ruble (varies depending on the guns, but not by much).
The reason why I say "early game" is because this gets flipped when you start crafting your own ammo. At that point it needs almost double the materials for barely more than 50% extra damage. Funny enough this isn't the case for FMJ variants, but who the hell uses pistol FMJs outside early game?

PPSh is such a great weapon when playing with Mags on. So fun to go back to they glory days of CoD 2 as well
Playing gamma with mags, finding a PPSh in a stash with full mag is like a minor dopamine rush of ammo parts lol
Those Suomi-based Shpagin drums for the PPSh-41 aren't really meant to be loaded with 71 rounds. That's the max number possible, but it's considered overloaded. It was customary to load then with 65 rounds. Typically, a soldier would go into combat with that loaded, and would pack six 35-round stick mags in mag pouches (three on each side). Sudayev's PPS-43, which succeeded but didn't entirely replace the PPSh-41, only used 35-round stick mags.

I generally go with the UMP because of its slower RoF. In a vacuum the Vector & Frasier MP5 are better, but with ammo, etc being a finite resource (not to mention the weight it has in your backpack), I prefer the UMP as a more "economical" choice for killing mutants.

great that you gave the PPsh-41 the love it deserves! sure there are better options out there, but this thing is just amazing, until it is not (Trainee level Stalkers) - until then it will shred as long as you can feed it

You can switch to the open sights of the Thompson with you switch sight button (usually V) they're FAR more useable.
Completely agree on the ppsh, in fact its actually a great mutant killer since its in between 9x19 and its hollow point variant (last I played), but is cheaper to craft. If you do use it vs mutants only use the yellow ammunition, but for stalkers the red.

I was waiting for this episode to find out how you ranked the fact that you could place some of these into your melee/pistol slot (keybound to 1). I know the Mp7 and P90 can go into 1 but what others? Can any hydroshock SMG fit there?
None of the hydroshock smg's can
God I hate the bizon so much. Despite having a sweet juicy 53 round mag and optics options, it just puts out its tiny caliber at far too low a fire rate to be useful. The vast majority of machine pistols are too hard to find before I find some 5.56/5.45 gun with a good barrel included so I can fix up the gun before getting the advanced tools.
I would put vector and fraiser on low S or high A because it can't be put into the knife slot.
And ppsh is king in early game, only downside is if you use it as intended, spray and pray, it's very very expensive. I remember it got me out of the spiciest of situations because of its giant magazine size.
Don't forget mp7 can go in the melee and vision slots just like a pistol

Hi there! The mp7 is a great mutant killer when rechaimbered to 9x18 with HP ammo, better than 15bullet pistols for my taste
kiparis is a underrated starter weapon, cheap ammo and high firerate, definitely carried me quite a bit
Doesn't help its case but M1A1 if you press "v" you will use the top of the sight instead of the peep-hole. Same keybind for "tac-aiming" with pistols

Okay. So what's good about the VZ. 61 Škorpion? It's czech. (biggest plus out of all) . It's cheap, good firerate. (if it was realistic, the accuracy would be somewhere between MP-5 and MP-7)
Not much discussion of lasers or ability to mount SpectreDR really in this. The fact is a high capacity gun with a laser is great late game as its fast. MP7 converted to 9 by 18 and using HP rounds in the knife slot is amazing, fast and cheap to run. Plus the 1 to 4 SpectreDR scope makes it way more versatile and the laser means up close that scope isn't a hindrance. I don't really use the Vector because it can't use the 1 to 4 and doesn't have a laser. Being able to reach out with every gun is crucial to me and the laser actually allows this I think.
This guy barely takes grenade launchers into account, which is weird considering they're even more powerful than a scope on average
@@dnaderelmasry7973 the problem is the weight and very specific use case, I really only use grenade launchers when raiding the labs and CNPP, otherwise I just sell them for quick cash because of the bug where it deletes the loaded grenade if you change regions while using the rifle mode, I got tired of accidentally deleting my ammo and being left to haul around a pretty heavy grenade launcher, besides normal grenades have a similar use while not needing to haul around the launcher
@@jimbothegymbro7086Launcher: quickly use a grenade that explodes on impact on high value targets (heavily armored stalkers, chimeras, etc)
The weight is almost nothing compared to how much utility you get. Grenades are mostly used to make stalkers free a location, it rarely kills a group of enemies and more often than I'd like it causes your own death.

I think that you don't like the Bizon because of the viewmodel it has. it look absurdly huge compare to basically any other weapon in GAMMA. Idk if it's the model itself or the set of animations it has. Either way I would change it so it has a better presentation.

P-90 for me can be in S++ tier for 1 reason thats it can go in additional slot. But it has 1 major issue for me. HP ammo for some reason, in my version of the game, have lower penetration with same stoping power as FMJ. So no benefits against mutants.
Also, the MP7 can be chambered in 9x18 and fits into your pistol slot which makes it a really good mutant killing gun and probably my favourite in the game 🤷♂️
Also the 9X18 is cheap and easy to find from any stalker whom you finished.

Except MP-7 does very little damage. It has small damage stat on gun, and damage modifier on 5.7 ammo is 65% is i remember correctly. And also it for some reason has quite a recoil. While SR-2M with upgrade kit (that has no scope) has almost no recoil at all. And it can take any sight with correct upgrade kit.
Aslo PPSH for some reason has less RoF than in reality. It should have ~1000 rpm.
5:42 I wonder if the vz.68 can be put on the handgun slot in GAMMA?
as far as im aware the only smgs that can go in the pistol/vision slot are the p90s, mp7, and sr2ms
@@SikPuppy you can convert the MP7 to shoot 9x18 though, so it basically becomes the chad VZ.68
That last SMG in F Tier, the only game you can make it decent in is Resident Evil 5

The non .45 ACP submachine guns are entirely worthless once you have a basic toolkit and can get a rifle imo. The mp7 is an exception as a good backup for conserving ammo for your rifle and it fits in the melee slot. None of the smgs will work as a primary vs monolith or sin however since even 5.56 full auto at short range struggles against them at times.
Any .45 acp smg that isnt the ump45 is pretty much S tier for killing mutants. If it doesn't die to fraiser its time to pull out the IEDs

I suppose that shows how well balanced the guns are, the meg guns end up still being decent, like pump shotguns for example, they suck in almost every way from fire rate to reload time yet we all use them in the early mid game

Components of weapon break down faster if you often hold the trigger. This is especially noticeable on SMG, cause of their fire rate

there's an unspoken (and supposedly patched) feature that has guns overheat, the condition drain increases while the gun is overheating, and Grok in his infinite wisdom just stopped the popup and inspection features while leaving just enough spaghetti code in there for it to still boost condition drain
and I'm not trying to throw shade at Grock, modding stalker has to be a coding nightmare and then some

In GAMMA, shooting stalkers in the legs will mitigate some of the protection from there armour. In Addition, shooting a stalker in the same limb multiple times does compounding damage.
