The XM4 is a Vietnam Era weapon. The reason for the 25 round mags is because the mags at the time would jam the gun up if it was loaded all the way, so soliders just partially loaded them to 20 or 25.
Meanwhile, the opposing force had already been using reliable 30-rounders for years.
Also the model being from COD Black Ops 1 or Cold War which has some inaccuracies in the weapon arsenal
Such as having guns that came out post 1968 (the game's time frame)
Or modifying guns like the XM4 (which i guess is a XM177E2, but without the carry handle)

The best 5.56 gun was removed from GAMMA 😢, the Hera. Fortunately, a mod re-enable it in the NPCs drop, because the Hera is still in the game.
I dont get the obsession with high fire rates i often see in these lists. I find that even on smaller calibers like 5.56 i still find myself tap shooting heads to save ammo so i dont see having a slow fire rate as a reason to place a gun in a lower tier.
it makes a noticeable difference in CQB or situations where you don't have time to place all your shots accurately
@@yono367 i guess in some situations it does but i tap heads even in the labs so in my experience a high fire rate makes a difference very rarely
Do an ironman run and you'll take any panic button available, any advantage, high fire rate is one.
@@aiugiamos3057 GAMMA ironman is the most stressful gaming experience I've ever had and I'm addicted to it
High fire rate combined with large mag size like in "Butcher" allows you quickly melt targets in CQB,
example: you fighting Monolith guys in Red Forest and Chimera jumps on you from the back - high fire rate and large mag will allow you to deal with this.
Of course he puts out a tier list a day after i chose my 5.56 weapon, Null is in my walls

Going to go on a real limb and say S since it literally does the same damage as most dmrs.
@@Ungamybungasyeah, I noticed that too, and tbh that HAS to be some weird oversight - Gamma's damage is *usually* very consistent across calibers (because why wouldn't it be), so seeing that the AMB-17 outdamages all other 9x39 guns I've come across just seems weird.
@achaziel if you look through the debug menu at all the 9x39 guns you'll see that a lot of them have inconsistent damage. Compare the vss variants to the 9a91 or the as val and you'll see. Some of them don't drop in gamma, but inconsistencies across weapons aren't uncommon. Get that mod that shows you accurate stats in the tooltip and it looks even more obvious.
Biggest redeeming factor for Adar is the fact that it is NATO AR that You can get the earliest in the game

5:26 This. this is why you want that "panic mode" named Full-auto. I really liked the Butcher's 60 rounders but I guess I should give other S-tier guns a try. Especially that F2000 w/ grenade launcher :D
try howa, get used to the scope and there is no match (proceeds to use VSS merc or RD 9x39 every run)
personally just 3-4 headshots from 9x39 to top tier helms with non AP version is so much better than 5.56 that I would opt for 9x39 every time somehow

The LMG in general are not meant for you, they're meant for your followers) Just make sure to repair it and keep an eye on stats of your follower, so you can repair gun in time. Because when they use your guns, the gun will take integrity damage. And when they die, gun will lose around 10% integrity.

The reason they removed the L85A2 Tactical and the M4 Hera was pure nonsense. They removed it from the loot tables but kept the bazillion versions of G36? And all the versions of the Sig 55x?. The Howa Type 20 is ridiculous good, it recoils almost nothing and its scope sway is almost non-existent.

He'll keep every single G36 variant, every single AK variant (oh look, 9 different 7.62x39 AK variants, the 12 5.45 variants that have AK as their first two letters.), no no, can't have an extra variant of the M4 or LA85A2, that would be baaaaad.

No LR-300? Always used that one out of sentimental value - along with more "vintage" M4 variants (in this case XM4 fill the criteria).

You fellas should give it a shot. It's not everyone's cup of tea, but I like the micromanagement and the extra difficulty of planning it brings. Pretty neat that you can use different types of magazines, too, be they extended or fast-loading.
1:15 There's no reason for the AK-101 to not accept a GP-25. It does IRL, and it does in standard-issue Anomaly. It's like they handicapped it for no reason! As for optics, in standard-issue Anomaly, it could accept both Eastern and Western scopes and reflex sights, so there was no reason to take that away.
1:42 The only "Ak" that's actually an FNC (because "Ak" has a different meaning in Swedish). I call it "Swede Success." Oblivion Lost 2010 has the standard Bofors Ak.5, and it's one of the best five-five-sixers. So that seems to be consistent across all mods.

This sort of thing makes or breaks a mod for me and is one of the reasons I've stuck with standard-issue Anomaly (even though I hate how Anomaly portrays pump-action shotguns, plus I appreciate how GAMMA adds back in the ability to "dodge" pseudogiant pseudostomps with perfectly-timed jumps - or is that just certain versions?). GAMMA has the M320 grenade launcher, which is a licensed copy of the AG36, which was designed by H&K for the G36. So what was their logic in not allowing the G36 to accept a grenade launcher that was made for it? It's one thing for a G36 to not accept, say, a GL5040 (which was made by SIG for the SG550). That makes sense. But THIS doesn't make sense!
Edit/Note: For the same reason, it also makes sense that the StG.90 version of the SG550 (the original Swiss Army version) doesn't accept a SUSAT because it lacks a rail. IRL, it accepts its own type of scope, and it makes sense that it isn't available in the Zone.
4:00 Are there different versions of GAMMA that do different things with grenade launchers? I know I've seen gameplay vids of the L85A2 with an M320 in some version of GAMMA. And no, I'm not getting it confused with True S.T.A.L.K.E.R. (which has that same launcher on that same rifle).

5:04 All rifles with Picatinny rails should except all the same sights. That's not to say that all sights will match all rifles.
5:09 All Stoner-based rifles have the same magazine well and use all the same mags and drums, so that's an artificial handicap. A mag mod would override that, but I don't see the point of a 20-round mag on a five-five-sixer anyway. That is, unless it's a semi-auto police-style precision rifle like the SG550-1. The idea is that the shorter mag is easier to swap out while lying prone.

If it was the StG.90 version (the original Swiss Army version adopted in 1990), then it would make sense for it to have a bad sight selection, and for none of its optics to be available in the Zone. The "sniper" variant available in 'nilla ShoC has an integral SUSAT scope. Two Freedom sentries carry the only two in the game. Makes sense because we can assume they were custom jobbers.
6:04 I see its forearm has been Americanized to allow it to accept an M-203 instead of a GL5040 (aka "Gewehraufsatz 97" or "GwA.97"). In the core games, the GL5040 is mislabeled as an "M-203."

I've been using the M4 Tactical for like 40 in game days now on my long slow burn chill save. I just can't put it down. Has it been removed in the newest patch(s)? I haven't updated since before new year so maybe for the best?

I like that all the 5.56x45 guns are never bad, and it's mostly down to preference
I still love me the G36 line as my go-to Western assault rifle, just like I prefer the AK-47 (7.62 Soviet) line of rifles from the East
The Arrow is slept on. It’s a sniper/AR hybrid. Its power lies in its incredible accuracy and flatness. If you compare the stats to the stats of the G36K, it’s straight up better. Def not a close quarters gun but for short bursts over a long range it’s amazing.
I just wish grok would somehow implement magnifiers in the game. I would just love to use my eotech with ability to become 3x scope in one click. I dont really like that button that basically makes you focus more and your collimator somehow isnt a 1x scope but 2x. Its kinda cringe as for me and magnifier would make this feature logical and stop us from butting 12x scope on every gun there is.
Is the XM177e2 (dropped from a Monolith Stalker who guarded the helicopter near the boarder to the brain scorcher) TEAR „S“ in your Opinion. I am currently modifying it because it suits perfectly to my Tactical Lebedev PL15 Pistol with the Cloth on the suppressor - playing as a merc ;-) who has this rifle?
I do remember Stalker Misery (wih original CoP story and classes) - this game did leave mark on all my future gameplays. I know that different people prefer their own gameplay. But. If rifle can not attach scope (with magnification) and grenade launcher - it's bad, IMO. Assault rifle with scope is budget version of sniper rifle (ammo in Misery is bloody expensive, especially AP). Grenade launcher is problem solver for large groups of mutants and clears stalkers from buildings. So, M4A1 (for NATO guns) in GAMMA is love. It's cheap and weights like less then 5 kg (with attachments that I need). No cool mumbo-jumbo, just pure effectiveness. But to be fair tactical variant is better as marksman rifle.

Repair kit types, A, B, C, and D. C is red and D is orange.
Different kits needs different ressources and different repair tools.
Basically : some guns are cheaper to repair/maintain, also means you can use those earlier in your game.

People who say you don't 'need' full-auto are just trying to cope with not being able to have full-auto.
I play games with mags on, and you don't want full-auto in those much of the time, unless you expect to be in CQC
Because you do want to be counting the bullets in each mag and don't wanna be in a situation with 4-10 rounds that'll spend too quickly on full-auto

You can also get the upgrade kit for the AK105 from the Clear Sky guys if your rep is high enough...
It's the other way around, the early way is in the swamps, it's literally a clear sky kit, the late way to obtain it is nimble.
You should heavily consider the gun recoil, i rather have semi-automatic with low recoil rather automatic with out of this world recoil

LMGs do have accuracy, it's just accuracy by volume, one of these hundred of bullets is bound to hit something or someone.
1:25 yeah full auto really does help xD hit the initial shot, the rest goes into the moon, very useful to waste ammo (gamma is hard blah blah blah, maybe use a little bit of common sense and conserve ammo by actually aimiing and hitting targets cosistently AND accurately xd)

Yes I know Monolith carry both NATO and WP, but I must have missed them selling NATO rounds as I start crafting most of my ammo as soon as I can.
This makes Monolith poverty a little more bearable, makes me want to go back licking rocks
thales ef88 has to be S it has the best base states you can go the whole game without switching to another gun and when you do it better be a better one like the butcher

Because Almost every gun can be rechambered and it would convolute the lists.

You craft it using the basic toolkit. You'll find the toolkit in yellow stashes.

the only ak rifle's that use 5.56 is 101 and 102 not the 105 since it's a 5.45x39 rifle
If you get the kit from Clear Sky and apply it to the AK-105, you get the Swamp Thing
still doesn't explain as to why it's in the 5.56 vid instead of the 5.45, also if it was a 5.56 ak then the mag would be straighter then that of the 5.45 so the mag on that swamp thing should be impossible to because of the bullet and the curvature of the mag

@@thehouse1230 He literally said that it's AK 105 Swamp Thing kit that chambered in 5.56 lol ? and the reason why it has cruvy mag is they use the exact same model as AK 105 Shackal which chambered in 5.45, why ? I don't know, BaS mod haven't been update since 2022.

I genuinely don’t understand the focus on the fire rate. It’s a totally irrelevant stat in this category of rifles as the fire rates are already pretty good. If you want to kill things faster you’ll just use AP anyway

It bothers me that you don't take weight into consideration for ANY of your tier lists.
Are there any weapons that jump out as being more valuable for their weight? There's such an enormous disparity in performance between tiers that I almost never think about weight unless it's something like snipers or armor.
If I'm pressed for carry space I'll usually swap out my backup gun for a lighter weapon type entirely and if I'm looking for the best weapon available I'll just take less extra meds or loot over getting myself killed by running a worse gun.
ngl, unless you are carrying like 5 guns, I rarely notice the weight of a weapon affecting me
@@semioticwish To answer your first question I can think of at least one the XM177. When you're having to carry around extra mags the lower the weapon weight the better (because you can therefore carry more ammo)
I feel like putting the ADAR in B-tier was comment bait.. As the only 5.56 accessible with a Basic kit, it's a go-to on dang near every run I do now - that alone makes it easy A-tier. Wish they'd put more semi-auto guns capable of using AR calibers on the Historic kit..
