Thanks! I usually deal with gas hot water heaters. Just got to a rental cabin and warm water doesn’t last for one person’s shower. I’m sure, being a rental they set it at low settings to save money. Well I’m paying plenty to deserve a hot shower. Good thing I’m handy 😉 Will set it back b4 leaving and no one will ever know 🤫 well except you guys 😆
Thank you! I found this video very helpful. Mine had two thermostats so I set them both to the same temp and now my water actually gets hot thanks again 🙏
Thanks so very much. The landlord put in a new hwh and the temps were on maximum. I couldn't see temperature numbers anywhere so I turned them down to around about where I think 120 degrees is should be.
Easy peasy! Thank you! I am in an apartment and it was set at 160. It was so hot that it couldn’t even be used. 🔥 I have two panels and I could only discern that only one panel had a temperature control. The One that I adjusted was on the top panel. If there is another one on the second panel, it doesn’t look the same and I couldn’t see it. Is there supposed to be two temperature gauges if you have two panels?
Many of these tanks with two panels have two thermostats one behind the top panel for the top coil and another behind the bottom panel for the bottom coil. Set both for the same temperature.
So I came home and a hot water was super super hot and I did what you said it was set on 125 so it shouldn't have been hot so I set it down to 95 is my thermostat broken
Hello… so big question here… my hot water runs out quick with a 50 gallon tank. It’s 5 of us in my two story home. Turning up the hot water… will it give us more time for hot water to shower with?
I've done these about 600 times yet I did it on the one in our new place turned it up by accident at first and then turned it down even lower then originally and the waters hotter now then ever before even tried putting it back to where it was and it's still much hotter any ideas anyone?

I watched this video. It helped me on my water heater. It was the top panel not the bottom panel but I did it. Thank you very much.

Hi there 👋🏻
By any chance do you have a video on how to change the resistance of this type of water heaters?
Thanks in advance!
2:56 With that said do you have a filter on your water system or you don't drink tap 🤔
Thanks for sharing!
Thank you so much for the video. I just moved into a new apartment. The hot water temperature has been meh...

Should you flush it first ? I haven’t tried that yet
Can you get 180 out of electric water heater by breaking tip off off of the temp adjustment?
Thank you so much I appericate you
Thank you so much. My plumber would not place the temp to 130 he said 120 was fine. 🤬. Thank you again.
Sounds like you need a new plumber :/
My water heater has the two panels should I adjust both to match ?
Both coils should be adjusted, at least in the ones I've seen
Thanks Buddy!!!
are you sure you have just one thermostat? check second panel on the top
Feel like I am playing a video game with this POV
Thank you 🙏🏻
On my Rheem water heater the temperature adjustment is in the top panel.
I heard you mention well water. I just moved and we’re renting and they have well water it smells horrible do you have any suggestions
Is the smell on both hot and cold water or hot water only? You can have the water tested for Sulfur content as well. Is there a water softener?
@@LehewTech yes hot and cold and it’s definitely sulfur
Did not show changing temp on bottom panel to same temp
Thank You
Will raising the temperature make the water get hotter quicker ?
yes
Thank you now my water is hot was coming out warm now I can take hot showers
Uh oh I didn’t turn off the circuits before turning it up what will happen ?
@@brandonlopez8950 Nostradamus spoke of this

How about just unplugging it
Yeap. Same thing I was thinking
Why would you need to heat hot water
Thanks for the video. It was faster than waiting for the company to answer the phone.
Whoever installed it didn't turn the temperature up
Wrong tech boy, on a Richmond water heater, top and bottom, as it is a 2 stage.
He called him a boy lol
Very true!
Use a screw driver not a a gun
