🍓STRAWBERRY JAM ~ ua-cam.com/video/rCW42MrW3VY/v-deo.html
BIG TIP ON TOMATO PLANTS FOR NEXT YEAR...take a couple of tomatoes. Slice them in half and lay them on top of dirt in a planter. Put the planter under house. Take out planter in April and bring in house and start watering. You will have a lot of tomato plant seedlings.
Really? I've never heard of such a thing. Not much surprises me on UA-cam. But, that just did. Thank you...
Maybe try that in the milk jug starter method?
Thank you for the tip. I’m gonna try this.
You can use flower pots to
It works!
“Odd video”. This might be one of my favorites. I adore how relaxed all your babies are- except for mama turkey- Ginger- not a care in the world- so peaceful. Amid ALL the crazy going on these days it’s a blessing to me and, I’m sure to others, to be able to share a piece of your day. Your calm and Godly manner adds to our lives in a very positive way. Thank you so very much- you are a doll!
Agree Completely 🙏🕊️💛
And the biggest thing to do is...shut the tv, news, social media OFF. Worry about your life and what you can do for your family and home, not the world.
You have an amazing spirit. May you always be blessed with health and family. Enjoy watching and listening.
Oh my goodness, that headstone brought tears to my eyes. That was a wonderful testament to a good man.
❤Same here. I found we are distant relatives of George Washington. It humbles me to see anything about our founders.
Same here. We need to remember our history. 🙂
Imagine how she felt discovering that!
Please keep praying for Oklahoma and other states that suffered destruction and fatalities this past weekend and more storms coming ! Thank you!!
TAKE THIS WORLD AND GIVE ME JESUS 🕊️🕊️🕊️🕊️🕊️🕊️🕊️🕊️🕊️🕊️🕊️🕊️🕊️🕊️🕊️🕊️💕

Once you figure out what works well in your area after trying different plants every year…. You start cutting back on what you decide to grow. I’m cutting way back after some trial and errors. Praying everyone has successful healthy gardens!
Your farm is a beautiful, hard working, bountiful, and blessed real life farm. 🥰
I avoid TV and the media as much as possible. I get my news from other trusted sources instead and only when I feel like it. I like to just concentrate on my life and what I need to do each day. I do spend a great deal of time praying and reading my devotions and my prayer list includes many people both family and non-family. Also our country.
I've been dehydrating my strawberry tops to add into herbal tea blends!
OMG great idea! Thanks!
Dang! I wish I had known this before I threw all my tops from my berries in the compost. Just canned 24 half pints.
Asking for Prayers hubby in hospital a week today. He needs to get outta there❤

Great video today! I find myself feeling reluctant to leave my home these days, even to go shopping or to appointments. I do my best to prepare a little bit each day.
I'm the same way. I only frequent a few places😂 My Food Lion, Dollat General, my parents and mother in law. And I'm in a small town😊
We joke now that I only come down off the hill for doctor appointments and church. 😂
@@Genesis12_3 😅🤣
Home is were your planted❤🙏🕊
Same. I prefer the safety of home, but must venture out for errands & Dr apps...
I can't express enough the excited joy and serene gratitude I felt from your video!
Please accept my simple heartfelt words of "Thank You!" 😌🙏❤️
Our Winn Dixie had bogo canned tomatoes and beans last weekend. It was limit 12 so I went on Friday alone and my husband went with me Saturday and Sunday. We spent a little over 35.00 but we have 60 cans of mixed types of tomatoes and beans!
Thank you so much for the encouraging words ! I tend to get overwhelmed and beat myself up for getting behind. You helped me see that it's just life ,keep doing and you'll accomplish your goals !! You're the best 👍🤗
Yes, it's very encouraging
I am the same~~~❤
I go out of the state this weekend for a betrayal trauma retreat I signed up for after my ex husbands 2 affairs (signed up and paid a while ago.) It’s 3 states away. I’m so nervous to leave my daughter (with my parents who are amazing) after knowing everything that is going on in this country.
Trust in the Lord and enjoy your weekend. I’m so sorry you had to experience that. I know exactly what you’re talking about 🙏
Praying for Father to strengthen you and in so doing, praying He will draw you into His Word, with His Spirit making alive for you His true counsel as you are attending man’s counsel as well. In the name of Jesus, I ask for your comforting arms to surround her with the peace that is beyond all understanding. Amen! ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
May you be healed beyond your dream. May the hand of the Lord be upon your parents and your daughter while your gone May healing come to every heart and mind that this behavior affected. Let forgiveness reign. And perfect freedom to this family. Amen thank you Jesus
Prayers going out. Pray for me too. I am going today to get a restraining order against my neighbor. People have gone crazy.
An angel will go before you. Psalm 91:11
We've got more than enough wild blackberry in the yard we actually use. I can only imagine how much is on these 30 whole acres. The girls and I walk the property about 3 times a week which is approximately a mile round trip walking. It keeps me grounded when we walk around. My heart rate generally stays at 110 with medication. After we started walking it is now down to 86. Yes it's with medication, but it still came down from the walking. I love watching you and your ancestors. Ty Patara for always sharing. And on another note; praying for all 4 police officers families who lost their lives yd in Charlotte. And the 4 who are recovering.
Oh your place sounds wonderful you are so blessed to have that much property.
I ALWAYS FIND A WALK IN NATURE IS THE BEST MEDICINE!! 👍🙏👍
Continuing to pray for the police officers 🙏 and their families.
Never apologize. We're happy to share your day with you.
This is my first year starting seeds. I didn't figure I would have great germination because I'm just starting and learning. Well...... I had almost 100% germination with my plants. I have over 50 tomato plants, 75 pepper plants, lots of onions, my basil is beautiful. I have raspberries and blackberries to plant and the strawberries will be going in tomorrow.
🎉 Congratulations on your germination success!!! 😊
Lol. I had the same thing happen with tomatoes. It was my first time saving seeds, so I wasn't sure how it would go. Same thing with my saved eggplant seed seed. The store bought seeds only had a 50 percent germination.
In the 60s & 70s, my Great-Grandmother used to cook 1 pound of fresh strawberries and 1 pound of sugar...then add more strawberries & sugar. I'm handicapped, so I use a big bag of frozen strawberries because I cannot shop for fresh. They're so juicy that I have to simmer them longer in order to reduce the juice. Store-bought jars of jam & preserves don't hold a candle to homemade. Thank you, young lady...🇺🇸 👍☕
If you put the strawberry tops, springwater, and about a quarter cup of sugar into a large mason jar, it will ferment and become strawberry vinegar. You just have to make sure to stir it so mold doesn’t grow on top.
Can I come live with you? I don't eat much.
No Mam your videos are not odd ,their great your just down to earth , God made you just how he wanted you to be , and your awesome , you are a great interaction to everyone, stay strong , God's got this in him we have our being and life, stay strong
Momma Mia was getting ready to go full on raptor! Yikes! 😳🦖🥚🥚🥚
Big love sis!! We need you in the fight against tyranny!! We need you sis in helping save the souls of the feminine through our lord and savior Jesus Christ!!! You are a strong powerful person! Take care
Good morning everyone!
Just finished morning
devotions and prayer with my daughter.
God bless you❤
Patara, thank you. I keep watching you to push off my intense desire to plant my gardens. The leaves are just coming out up here, but the call of the garden is strong. I still hold fast with grandma's rule to never plant until Mothers Day.
We didn't do starters this yr, & have sowed seeds instead, which s/all be coming up by next wknd & the one after. We started 1st w/root veggies & they're already up, then last wk we planted everything else. W/in the next 2 wks, we'll replant, as needed, so I pray things come up! I pray yours does well, too, & everyone's gardens bc everything counts! Fortunately, it's early, & ppl have time to start a garden if they want to. I've been praying that ppl do bc the food we're being sold gets worse for us, & rarely better. Fresh is so much better! 😊
Yep! I usually don't plant until May. I'm here in Western Washington and my husband read that we might get frost tonight. The headlines stated "if you planted your tomatoes, you better cover them." No worries here because I haven't planted anything yet. Too cold and too wet.
I am grateful for Patriots, such as your ancestor, Robert, for their sacrifice to bring freedom to our great nation from its beginning. Thank you for sharing a part of your family history with us, Patara. God Bless.
Absolutely love you and your family. May God bless you all. Thank you for caring and guiding us.
I love to see the animals. Love your videos. Keep up the good work.
Those cats got it made in shade!
Hello, Stefanie my wife of 20 years loves your show. It’s her birthday coming up 5/14/24. She is an exquisite wife, mother and friend. If you could wish her happy birthday in on of your posts I know it would make her day. Thank you
My days, dog has bad uti, cleaning yard, cleaning out storage shed and spring house. Oh my, life is busy.
Your turkey the way he acted when you walked by: 🦃🤨"who's this coming up my road?!" 🦃😎" oh, it's you. Carry on." 😂 Looks like everything is going great so far. May the Lord continue to bless you.
Loved this video!!! ❤🐕🐈🦃🐇🐂🐐🐓🦆🌻🚜
Your farm is so beautiful!
I'm propagating thornless blackberries and raspberries and they are looking great, but I also planted more strawberries in my Green Stalk tower. I'd like to get two more..one more for strawberries and one for herbs or something. If anyone wants to grow food on a patio, these are great. You can grow quite a bit of food in a small space.
I'm reliving my childhood eatching your videos.I can smell the fresh country air.
I love this kind of video. Seeing life on the farm is fun! Some garden produce coming up now. Planting warm weather items in a couple weeks. Thanks for all your videos! Blessings to you and the family.
I love tweetie!
Your couch looks like mine with blankets but mine has 4 more cats😆 . Thank you Patara we can’t thank you enough for all you do for us.❤️🙏🏻🙏🏻
This is solid motivation!! I've spent the last 2 weeks sick and still recovering from bronchitis. In a few days we're starting our first big house project to get back yard fencing put in. I hate being a Millennial, I feel so unsure and I'm super uneducated in real life skills. Baby steps, but we gotta start somewhere!
I thought you were going to kiss the frog!!!! ha ha But you already have your Prince.
Farms looking great and I know all your family is working hard. Take care and hove a great week.
Thanks, Patara.
🎶 I wandered again to my home in the mountains....🎶
Watching from our Sparta Tennessee Homestead! Be Blessed ya’ll !
I hope to visit you in heaven, at the farm home ❤ God Bless you all!!!
This video is Great , and keep getting better . Love ❤️ your farm and baby's they all look well . Love You Patara
I had a cat that looked like her and Ginger could be sisters; her name was Daisy. She lived 20 years. I miss her.
Yep rabbits can have several litters every year anywhere from 1 to 7

I can’t wait to listen to you EVERYDAY YOU CRACK ME UP!!! My heart is so happy when I listen to all your videos 🙏🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻😲
You Are Truly Pushing The World Out And Focusing Patara, God Love You And James And Your Family Always!
Your video has been like a postcard from home and it was needed. Had an ugly interaction with my roomies yesterday. They were all stirred up about the election and how the Fly Over states were going to destroy the country. I tried to ask a couple of questions and got shouted down. Then I tried a different approach. If we're all in trouble then why not try to prepare for it? That got me no further. "I can't do that. It's the governments job!" "And if the government fails, what then?" Silence. Hostile glares. It was then that I remembered. I'm a country girl. These are city people and raised in that bastion of "freedom" called the SF Bay Area. Hayseeds need not apply. So today this hayseed is preparing quietly and tending to the garden. And my roomies? They're walking around like nothing was ever said. It's crazy making. Thanks for letting me gripe. Stay safe.
I wonder what Robert Cooke would want us to do about our current situation with our corrupt government. Speak to us Robert Cooke.
Patera, Thank you for your words of wisdom on your channel, with boldness to challange when necessary. So sad to see the present state of our beloved country and leaders who have been elected to lead as we wish but have not heard from betrayed us.
The strawberries are beautiful. My mother taught me to use a teaspoon to scoop out
the stems. There is hardly any loss of the berry. When fresh strawberries are not available I use frozen strawbrries to make jam. They have been frozen at their peak and there is no waste. . I store the jam in the freezer so it is like freshly made.
So excited to see some turkey babies ❤️
As a kid, had to shell the corn by hand. That little gadget of yours is awesome.
NOW this is the Patara I have been missing. Good to have you back.
Thank you 🙏🏻❤️ hugs and prayers from Denmark
Thank you Patara ❤️✝️
Thank you for giving me moments of sunshine and normalcy. You, your family, and menagerie motivate and give me hope. Look forward to videos from you. God bless y'all!
Love the intro to your show…calming and REAL 😊
Occupy & stay focused. Yes,ty and have a blessed day.❤
I'm waiting for the final little winter to sow the rest of my seeds from last year. So, far I have planted my potatoes, pinto beans, marigolds, and black eye Susans . A big project can only be tackled in one step at a time.
Great video! "Am I making sense? Prolly not." LOL
Love seeing those strawberries getting red!!! Yay!!!
Let me say Spiced peach blackberry jam is a hit that I have made!!! So yummy on biscuits!!
I don't find them odd at all Patara ! You're living the farm life baby !! 🚜👩🌾👨🌾 I enjoy the come along videos ,so much knowledge ! Thanks a bunch for all you do to help us survive the coming chaos .🙏Pray up , look up ,stock up ! Love ❤️ you !
May the LORD BLESS you and keep you always in the shelter of HIS arms. JESUS has blessed us who listen to you and.PRAY for you. Continue praying for this country and for Israel. Thankyou.
This is not an odd video at all. It is a welcome change of pace and reality of farm life. We rotate between gardens each season, and letting them “lie idle” without cultivating them has done wonders for the soil and yields. At this point, we only plant what we eat and produce 80% of our fruits and vegetables. ❤❤🙏🙏
Use the tire for a chicken tire swing.
Wonderful reminder. Thank you so much
Patara, y'all are wonderfully blessed.
Your wisdom is remarkable.
Thank you for sharing
We still are getting down into the 30's at night. not planting yet, but my garlic, strawberries, blueberries, chamomile, lemon balm, chives and other herbs are doing great! much love ~Idaho~
Whew! I'm tired just watching you. 😊 thank you for all the information you provide and the incentive to keep going.
This was a fun video. So busy with so many different things. Have a great week!
I have mobility issues so I have this truffle between mind and body. My mind wants to do so much but body says”whoa girl”. I am praying and believing for healing of both knees! But I gotta say, you are a great motivator and that is what I need! Thank you so much! Love your videos!
Your farm is beautiful Patara. I always enjoy listening and learning from you. You are an inspiration with such a sweet spirit. I pray God continues to bless you and your family greatly. Thank you for all you do dear. Love ya sis!😊
I am expecting to have a knee replacement and a decompression/fusion procedure on my lower back. My husband is having to do an all. We’ve really cut back on our gardening this year. God has our plans and knows our needs. My faith is in Christ alone who died for me and you and rose again, defeating Satan. He put me in a position to spend more time in His Holy Word and I am grateful for this season! God bless you all.
You're so right about things coming up or happening unexpected. The last month I've been out of commission, I've been sick... I had a very bad infection that made every joint in my body hurt. I'm now slowly getting better, but my onions are ready to plant, I pick up my first order of trees on thurs and my second order comes in Friday. I still need to move my chickens to their summer coop and open the barn from the winter. We need to still finish the rental bathrooms before the season renting starts. We had plans to remodel our only bathroom because we are having so much problems with it, but not sure if we will get to it this year. And every day chores of course. Which I'm slowly just now able to do again. I'm so far behind this year, it's not funny. And spring came early. I do what I can when I can and I know God will allow me to get it all done when it's the right time.
Feel better fast, Mary ❤
You're so right! God's in charge - when we remember to put Him there! Sending you love and prayers!
I just love seeing all of your animals especially poor little Tweety. She looks happy as all of them.
Max loves to help me with the strawberry tops. At 91 years old I give him the whipped cream to. Most places offer pup cups with pure cream.
Thank you for letting us forget about life for awhile and showing us your beautiful farm and all your preparation for this new planting season.God bless from Nova Scotia
Great video Patara love seeing all the animals. You and James are some hardworking people so appreciate you.I would love to see more videos like this one.Keep them coning. Thanks
I enjoy your videos so much!
We have finally got a bit of rain, some areas snow, and temperatures are cold here. I managed to prune and take out old raspberry canes out of the raspberry patch, and the garden has been worked over once, nothing planted yet. Blessings to you, your family, and this channel family.
Strawberries, already. You are way ahead of NE Ohio.
Great advice Patara and since my yard is small I am only going to plant things that my kids will actually eat ❤ thank you for your beautiful videos
Well done Patara and James absolutely love your homestead your truly blessed. Cant wait to try your Strawberry jam recipe God bless 🙏 😊
This is the first time I've seen Miss Tweety. She is a cute and curious girl! ❤. And doing well on the farm!
I don't mean any disrespect, but I noticed her twisted break and eye. Special needs/special care animals need love and a good life too. Seeing her in your video hanging out to mooch for a treat made me smile.❤🦃😍
Corn looks so nice. I know it will be good this winter.
You could make a beautiful fall wreath with those corn husks, Patera. HUGS from WINDY Nebraska
Good morning! I can't plant anything here yet. Northern Wisconsin 36 and rain all night. Brrr lol Love seeing all the babies! God bless!🙏❤🙏👍🇺🇸
Those strawberries are making my mouth drool. Still waiting on an Uncle if he remembers to plow and disk up my garden area. I have been holding off even doing seedlings since I do not if anyone will work up the areas that I want for my garden. I only plant the things I love or have special plans to use for casseroles.
Patara, so very nice to see you. This was a fantastic video. I learned a lot saw a lot enjoyed a lot. I’m staying very busy working hard prepping doing all the things and I’m sending you prayers, blessings, much love, and great big hugs.❤🙏
Spring is in full swing. 😊
I didn't do strawberries this year, either- but I have one volunteer plant that just put out 2 berries (more coming). I gave them to my dad for breakfast! 🥰🍓
Have a Blessed Day, ma'am!
🙏🏻💪🙏🏻
OMG, she's a cross beak like my lil black silkie AND IM SERIOUSLY OBCESSED WITH HIM!!! Im in East Tennessee!!!! Love ya'll!!!
Debbie-Texas. We're letting our biggest garden rest this year too. 7thyr. And we will need it next. Our elderberry are doing well. And blackberries are popping
Love animals ! So peaceful
