I constantly spray my face with facial mists. I actually make my own with rice water, scoop of vitamin C, glycerin, and Aloe Vera gel. I have these little spray bottles at my desk, in my purse, bedside,. in my car, etc. Constantly just spritzing. It feels wonderful, especially if you leave one in the fridge, on a hot summer day. I have been doing this for years, and I am 58
@@katarinaa351 That's a good question🤗 Not sure. I do use waterproof but who knows? I am a strange one though. LOL I use sunblock for babies (50 SPF) as a makeup base since it is so thick and then when I am all done, I have always used and still do, SPF spray as a make up setting. It gives my face a shiny glow and protects at the same time.
I lay on the edge of my bed with my neck out, hanging my head upside down..while doing this I pinch my eyebrows. This neutralizes the day's gravity on your face. You're welcome every body.
My top beauty secret: CONSISTENCY. No matter what’s going on in your life, always do your skin routine. Keep it simple and consistent. In the long run, it matters and shows on your face.
Seriously. I started the Clinique three step 40 years ago. Three minutes twice a day. I used Neutrogena for some years when I couldn’t afford Clinique. It was mostly about doing it consistently. Of course, I think the massaging in of the products is half the benefits. I never needed anything else til in my sixties when I started Retinol. And it’s important to stick with the same, fragrance free products. So many women have skin problems cause they’re switching products every week and always adding new things.
I agree. Even if I can't afford the best skin care one month. I'm putting something on my skin everyday to moisturise it. Id rather something cheaper that I can use regularly, than the expensive stuff that will only cater for a limited amount of time.
I’ve not tried frankincense, but I will lighten the castor oil with some johoba oil. Otherwise I find the castor oil it’s just too thick for a smooth glide. I use this with both my gua sha and massage.
I've just started doing face message (using rosehip oil, almond oil or homemade flaxseed gel) and face yoga exercises and I can already notice an ever so slightly positive result. A few people have told me lately that I was pretty (nobody called me pretty in a very long time, so maybe the results are noticable by other people too.
Would it be possible to let us know which face exercise channel/instructor you are following There are so many and don’t know whose will give results Thanks
Aysel is very good (I'm doing her deep tissue face massage once a week), face pilates by Lisa is very good, Imi's Bigan yoga is wonderful and also Blush With Me Parmita offers some useful face exercises. I alternate between them and do different exercises/massage every day. My jaw is more defined and less jowly than it had been before starting doing these exercises, my dark circles are less dark and my lips are plumper (yes, the lip exercises are effective!)@@SK-gl9gq
I love you so much. First dermatologist i come across who speaks positively of face exercises and massage and gua sha. Because they do work wonders from my experience!
I have shaved my face for 60 years using men's double bladed in the 60s then disposables later. I use Barbasol men's shaving cream. My face is nearly wrinkle free and I am 75! I am Italian heritage so genetics helps my smooth skin. I use hyaluronic acid, vit C and niacinamide recently. It takes a while to shave properly but I shave UPWARDS from my neck. Be careful! Do not rush.
My tip is: CHANGE YOUR PILLOWCASE REGULARLY I bought some extra pillow cases and I change it every 2-3 days. It adds to the laundry pile but the benefit is worth it. I get regular facials and chemical peels and invested in good skincare products, and changing the pillow case often supports all of those other efforts.

Strawberry mask. (just when you eat strawberry, spread a half of one on your face, leave for 10-15 mins - check for allergy - natural acids and vitamins, skin is glowing) . Use coffee grounds after brewing as scrub for body and face - nourishing and exfoliating ) . also masks with steamed oats, sour cream, cucumber :)
While my coffee is brewing, I do a facial massage with coconut oil. I leave it on until I put on makeup. Also, spray face and neck with rose water frequently. Thank you
Those silicone scrubbers - the ones with super tiny nubs all over. You can get the electric one, or the manual one for like $2 works just as well to make blackheads literally disappear - for the day. They tend to come back in the morning when you face has released oil again, but you've got to wash your face anyway, might as well make blackheads disappear while you're at it. The silicone is so gentle & smooth it won't cause microscratches or remove a whole layer of skin like scrubs do, so you can really go at it with no harm.

I've had inflammatory arthritis for 24+ years. Before getting a diagnosis and treatment my hands were badly swollen, 2-3 times a day I would massage my hands with oil to try and reduce the swelling. The elasticity is 100%.
The essential oils of carrot and lemon are wonderful for the face. I add a few drops to my moisturizer of choice. Don't forget full throat and neck. No one believes my age.(74)
Doing a final rinse of the face with some distilled water . I have read online that it has really made a difference in their acne and overall glow of the face .

Love that you are so humble you learn from your patients. You are truly one of a kind! Love these recommendations. I need to be better about doing Gua Sha for sure. Planning to steam tonight and did an oil blade last week🙌🏼 Have to try the facial ice bath For sure... Favorite cheap facial tip 🤔 Sleep which I NEVER seem to get enough of as an insomniac😢
A 100 % free method to improve the skin's appearance is to go for a brisk walk of at least 30- 40 minutes. In the summer, go early while it's still cool. In the winter, the cold is awesome for blood circulation, but bundle up! The walking increases blood flow. When you get back home your skin will have a beautiful rosy glow. It works for me anyway.😊
I do dry sauna at 80 degrees Celsius for 1 hour once a week ( split up with cold shower shots in between). I’ve started putting my moisture mask on my face now while doing this and massage my face while in there. My face glows after this and feels super plump.
Marilyn Monroe had peach fuzz and she didn't remove it because she said when she was photographed, the peach fuzz gave her skin an extra glow from the reflection of the light off the peach fuzz. Word.
Love your channel! I started doing the facial ice baths and I have to say, you will see an immediate change. Skin is tighter, softer and the color more even. It is temporary, but if you do it regularly it really will make a difference. I wonder too if the icy temperature helps to keep the facial fat pads, would make sense no?
Yes not only did it reduced the facial assymetry to 80 percent from a patient of mine... she's in her mid 50's, made her visibly look younger too, remarkable. This is so true
Love Gua Sha with hemp seed oil before bed! Have to be careful not to overdo it bc the gua comes up so quickly. Often combine it with a facial massage and some exercises. I am on my second tool (crystal quartz) bc I broke the first one on the tiles in my bathroom😪 it was rose quartz which I liked more. Also tried dermaplaning but as you said with a lot of peach fuzz it just feels uncomfortable once they grow back. Now I epilate with a metal spring tool but it's not ideal either ... as for the steam: I used to work in gastronomy a lot and spent hours in front of dishwashers and fryers - the combination of steam and rapeseed oil gave me amazing skin.
Dr Rajani, love these tips,, especially the facial steaming! I swear by rose hip oil, calendula oil and fave yoga and massage. Let's not forget a whole foods diet, exercise and love. Thanks for all you do and Happy Valentine's Day.
The following make a difference in my skin: gua sha, frankensence oil in my nightly almond and castor oil that I apply before gua sha, lifting weights, drinking green tea matcha & foods with high omega content - the day after eating my skin always has a noticeable boost.
love using lemon peel/zest on areas prone to hyperpigmentation in the shower! snail mucus and have also found castor oil underneath my natura bisse tinted SPF to give a glass skin appearance!
I like a good clay mask. Clay is relatively cheap and great at adsorbing. It brings the blood to the surface for a gorgeous glow. Leave on 15-20 with a damp towel over top. Clay works while it is wet!! It doesn't need to dry and feel like it is pulling out your fillings...
Thank you sir, for your caring , free tips, for retired women on a budget, as well as those who can afford more, I was there once too, but things change with time , now in my 69th year, we aren’t always able to pay for those high priced moisturizers etc , I found a facial steam sauna at a used store years ago, so it sees I’m on the right track 👍🏻 lol , our dollars must be more carefully watched and spent in these silver years 😄right ladies ? 😂🤩P,S , thanks Doctor, I’m loving my castor oil , now I mix it with my aloe Vera (which I’ve been using for years now ) , but coupled with the castor oil, you have brought to my attention : wow 🤩 , I really enjoy and benefit from your videos , love ❤️ me , thanks again
Thank you so, so much, Dr. Rajani, I’ve watched the majority of your videos, I implemented everything possible in my routine and the result is people started asking me what kind of foundation I use. I don’t use any. Never had better skin, never looked better. My tip? You mentioned many times rice, the benefits, you showed DIY rice water, so, that’s it, spraying it before each layer, so nice, thanks again ! I wish I could be your patient, I would be definitely if I was American resident.
I've been loving these videos lately. Anytime he talks about what we can do ourselves with low or no cost always catches my attention. So I will share my proven secret: Emu oil, castor oil, message and slapping. (Yes, I slap my face and neck in an upward motion after I message for 3-5 minutes) I've noticed by doing this regimine every evening has taken years, wrinkles and sagging off my face. Btw.. I noticed that he recommends everything ive mentioned here in his videos except for the slapping😅 if you have a crappy sagging neck I highly recomend slapping it upwards everyday for at least 3 minutes. Works amazingly!!!!
Im using coffee and green tea rinse with rosemary oil that cost me about 12$ and lasts for months. I make it each week a bottle with a spray, and spray it on dry skin in my shower before i wash myself. I consider adding vitamin C to is also, but im not sure will it last long enough and not degrade in 1 week time
Cold water in the morning but I splash it on my face a few time. For anxiety and clearing the mind, it needs to be done at the back of the neck and running cold wet fingers through the scalp. Something to do with the vagus nerve. It resets it 😊
Thank you for sharing all this info. I just started using castor oil on my face about 2 weeks now and I see a big difference. I am definitely going to add the facial massage, and steaming.
Once a week I exfoliate my face neck and shoulders. This makes my skin and decollete look fresh smooth and glowing with rich oxygenating blood. I also spray my face with rosewater which balances the ph. Then I go over those areas thoroughly with a creamy moisturizer. I am 63 and do notice a freshness and vibrancy. In France steam is always used for the facial treatment.
I use an ice block roller with frozen rice water in every morning. Wakes n me up & reduces puffiness also helped my rosacea. Very refreshing in Tropical Queensland
Dr Rajani can you discuss about the challenging bumps that come with menopause or mature aging. I THINK it maybe sebaceous hyperplasia.. It looks like little raised bumps with a tiny hole in the middle but doesn’t have anything in them. I find they become worse with heavy moisturizers, cream but find retinol seems to reduce somewhat. They are definitely affected by hormones also. I haven’t been successful in finding much information on this. I know off the topic but appreciate any help. Side note, I did see a dermatologist years ago. She said it is from menopause and didn’t offer any type of treatment.
Clay mask 1x a week. Really deep-cleans and shrinks pores overtime. I really like the brand, Queen Helene Mint Julep Clay Face Mask - it is like $7. It says to leave it on for 15 minutes, but in my opinion... go for 20-30 minutes for that deep cleaning of removing oil/dirt from your pores.
For me, hydration. 2lires of water with cucumber and lemon slices, ginger and mint...sipped throughout the day keeps my skin glowing. Also constant reapplication of sunscreen.
Dr. I am glad you mentioned facial massage. So it doesn't cause fat pad loss, if you say it's good I know it can't ruin the fat pads. I feel relieved. A lot of castor oil massaged with a drop of coconut oil REALLY makes a difference. Emphasis on EVERY night if you in a hurry to start seeing RESULTS. THEN keep it up❤
I use to steam my skin as a teenager with strawberry leaves. Helped my acne! Good reminder to start it up again Now as an adult facial exercise and massage are my go to
These and any videos you have on non-invasive treatments are the best imo. I’d love to get your products. Hopefully you’ll organize with a distributor in Europe (very soon 😊)
Great video! I've been oil planing and it really smooths the skin and fine lines. I also used to steam my face years ago and plan on doing it again. Use retin a 1%. My dermatologist complemented on my skin and said whatever your doing to keep it up. 😊
Thanks for the great information, I'm skeptical about facial massages I know they can help with muscle toning but I'm afraid they may expand and loosen the skin Could you please tell us more about it?
Absolutely! Unfortunately the true answer is: Nobody Knows. And if it works...what is the dose that works. this has not been studied so its all in what people see for their own results. But for many...it has a place.
Very interesting video, Thank you❤🎉 About icy water: the most simple way: after you cleaned your face with face cleaner, use cold water to rinse your face several times, let say 10 to 15 times.
Ive just started facial massage with some facial yoga exercises and I like it. Going to do a quick ice dunk tonight though because I'm currently dealing with an allergic reaction/rash. Perfect timing for this video, thanks!
Doc, you're a real leading light in your field, you know. As I've said before, never known a medical doctor have such an encyclopedic knowledge of holistics. I'm one of those people who looks like I've been punched in the eyes the next day if I've been crying, then go to sleep. I ship INSANE amounts of fluid on my eyelids! If I don't wait too long, 2 cotton pads soaked in witch hazel will reduce the swelling significantly. I also love to spritz with 1&1 brand Jordanian DAMASK rose water. It's the best, and inexpensive.
I use mix of 30% castor oil rest i use Aragan oil , rosehip oil and grapeseed oil and 10 % black seed oil, i mix it with equal part Aloe vera on my palm, use it at end of my skin care routine, massage it with my hands when m lazy or with guasha, Oil gets absorbed quikly this way and doesn't show oily skin
Awesome! I've actually been "oil-blading" and didn't even know it was a thing - just something I figured out on my own when trying to shave the hair off my face. I always use hemp seed oil on my skin too, my skin absolutely LOVES it, I would say that's my little secret over the years haha... Thanks for the info! Bought the adaptogens yay.
I'm gonna try this😀. I notice even when coming out of a very warm shower or bath, the steam from it makes my skin look exceptionally bright, hydrating&glowing❤

Doctor, you already did a video on this. My go to is definitely working out. I look 10 years younger than I am and I’m convinced it’s because I’ve always been active. Cheers, Doctor! 🥂
If we were to try all or most of these techniques: facial massage, guasha, steaming, facial ice baths, how do we do structure this as a routine and when ?
Self-massage of the face is extra effective imo *because* doing it oneself means exercising the fingers and hands thoroughly and also because u r likely sitting up, it also strengthens the back of the neck muscles! All of that helps circulation and facial beauty :)
I found some nano collegen films. You place water on face and put these sheets on skin and it soaks into the skin directly. Adding to skin collegen amount directly and is so good...

Thanks for sharing!! Happy valentines day!!!!
Thanks @nunyabiz948. I very much appreciate you taking the time to share your thoughts. It helps all of us learn.
I tried my first bentonite mask tonight. I will do the wet towel from now henceforth. Thank you.
@@VeeKayGreenerGrassclay can be very drying and is best for oily skin
@@Minabobina007 I have oily skin, but I like it (good for keeping fine lines away longer 😉). So, I will be keeping the clay mask to twice a month.
Rose water and rose oil...❤❤❤
My favs with Calendula oil. Also, addicted to face yoga and massage.
🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙂🙂
Thank you so, so much, Dr. Rajani, I’ve watched the majority of your videos, I implemented everything possible in my routine and the result is people started asking me what kind of foundation I use. I don’t use any. Never had better skin, never looked better. My tip? You mentioned many times rice, the benefits, you showed DIY rice water, so, that’s it, spraying it before each layer, so nice, thanks again ! I wish I could be your patient, I would be definitely if I was American resident.
I so appreciate that @georgerorris5440. Stay tuned and have a super day.
Slugging at night, especially around eyes, nose, and on lips for retaining moisture. This helps bc my skin can get dry from my use of Tretinoin.
I consider adding vitamin C to is also, but im not sure will it last long enough and not degrade in 1 week time
Thank you so much, Dr. Rajani for the wealth of information that you provide us.
Cold water in the morning but I splash it on my face a few time.
For anxiety and clearing the mind, it needs to be done at the back of the neck and running cold wet fingers through the scalp.
Something to do with the vagus nerve. It resets it 😊
Thankyou!! I BET we will discover Facial Plunging is a game changer !!
Your a great doctor! If I had the money I would choose you.
Can you do a video where you compare castor oil, emu oil, and ostrich oil?
I use Fage Greek yogurt on my face. I’m 66, and my face has a nice glow.
Same! I also mix it with local organic honey or manuka honey. Anyone doing this make sure to use full fat Greek yogurt.
Organic full fat!
I also add Manuka honey and aloe vera, to my yogurt, and for a thick neck mask I add oats (tightens neck beautifully).
How long do you leave it on please?
@@ninagreen9963 I leave it on 15 mins, or until it dries. ❤️
Great tips! I like mixing a little oil in my moisturizer for a great Glow
I use an ice block roller with frozen rice water in every morning. Wakes n me up & reduces puffiness also helped my rosacea. Very refreshing in Tropical Queensland
Long term, this is not good.
@@VeeKayGreenerGrass Why?!? 🤔
@@ShellyBomb Prolonged use of ice directly on the skin can lead to inflammation of fat (panniculitis) or dyspigmentation in the skin over time.
@@VeeKayGreenerGrass Okay, yes - gotcha, that makes sense. Thank you! 😉
I just ordered the Castor oil. Such good information here as well. Will probably try that cold face bath. 😊
Hope you like it!
Homemade Turmeric face mask
I use turmeric , honey and almond milk or natural yogurt ☺️
My mom had these on her face as well. Please recommend some type of treatment to get rid of them.
I use Retin A to get rid of them. Takes a while, like 6 month to a year, but it worked
I have these too, especially on my forehead. And I use Tretenoin at least 5 days a week. I’d love some help, some days they are very noticeably :(
Yes please.
I have these too.
Plus, chin breakouts & mild roscea.
I need to make a dermatologist appointment
ASAP
It's worse than when I was a teen!!!
Rose, Evian or Fiji Water Mist first thing in the morning before coffee. Then comb hair out. This is so amazing
Enjoy and thank you for watching
Just found your channel and am a huge fan! You are so well-spoken and concise. Thank you for all this great information and your positivity! ❤
I thank you greatly for joining me here
THEN keep it up❤
Don t over do massage
I use to steam my skin as a teenager with strawberry leaves. Helped my acne! Good reminder to start it up again
Now as an adult facial exercise and massage are my go to
Thank You @denellsullada7697. Stay Tuned I appreciate you being part of the channel.
Me too. Just steam though.
I will get back on it.
These and any videos you have on non-invasive treatments are the best imo. I’d love to get your products. Hopefully you’ll organize with a distributor in Europe (very soon 😊)
I ship to Europe now. I do hope they will think about removing duties and be more open to trade. It's archaic. But yes we ship there now
Yr so awesome ❤❤❤ thank you for all of this info
You are so welcome!
Great video! I've been oil planing and it really smooths the skin and fine lines. I also used to steam my face years ago and plan on doing it again. Use retin a 1%. My dermatologist complemented on my skin and said whatever your doing to keep it up. 😊
Getting pretty good on those graphic thumbnails 💯💯💯🎺🎺🎺🥳🥳🥳🥇🥇🥇
Thanks for the great information, I'm skeptical about facial massages I know they can help with muscle toning but I'm afraid they may expand and loosen the skin
Could you please tell us more about it?
Absolutely! Unfortunately the true answer is: Nobody Knows. And if it works...what is the dose that works. this has not been studied so its all in what people see for their own results. But for many...it has a place.
@@rajanimdskincarewhat do you suggest is the proper way to not stretch the skin?
Very interesting video, Thank you❤🎉 About icy water: the most simple way: after you cleaned your face with face cleaner, use cold water to rinse your face several times, let say 10 to 15 times.
Ive just started facial massage with some facial yoga exercises and I like it. Going to do a quick ice dunk tonight though because I'm currently dealing with an allergic reaction/rash. Perfect timing for this video, thanks!
Facial massage works great for me!
I never even knew about oil blading! I am trying that today!
I find using a regular razor blade with shaving cream actually works better. I’ve been doing this for years and The results seem to last longer.
Excellent tips! Thank you Dr Rajani ❤.
My pleasure 😊
What's the best one with broken capillaries??
I have heard the cold on the face helps the vagus nerve.
It’s wonderful for the nervous system
I'm gonna try this😀. I notice even when coming out of a very warm shower or bath, the steam from it makes my skin look exceptionally bright, hydrating&glowing❤
Thank you so much for sharing this information , I will try for sure ice bath and oil blading.
You are most welcome
Doc, I am impressed again, you are fantastic! Thank you very much for this informative video and for offering us inexpensive methods with a kind heart! 🥰
I so appreciate that @edinaszonyi722. Stay tuned and have a super day.
Doctor, you already did a video on this. My go to is definitely working out. I look 10 years younger than I am and I’m convinced it’s because I’ve always been active. Cheers, Doctor! 🥂
Good stuff enjoy
Yogourt and honey masks and castor oil!
Just mixing all together?
@@amrek8270 Yes.
If we were to try all or most of these techniques: facial massage, guasha, steaming, facial ice baths, how do we do structure this as a routine and when ?
Steaming the face three times a week and organic oil every day together with the face cream...
Self-massage of the face is extra effective imo *because* doing it oneself means exercising the fingers and hands thoroughly and also because u r likely sitting up, it also strengthens the back of the neck muscles! All of that helps circulation and facial beauty :)
Hi doctor, great video. What treatments are you doing? Your skin looks very healthy and younger😊
Haha I’ve been jumping to cold waterfalls and rivers for ages did not know I practiced something special, just loved the feel ❤
Castor oil is life changing
The best doc for good advice
I found some nano collegen films. You place water on face and put these sheets on skin and it soaks into the skin directly. Adding to skin collegen amount directly and is so good...
