I am amazed that he managed to sneak his halfling into the tank like that, he is shockingly dexterous with the unit possession
I'm so down for Spiff doing a bunch of TABS videos, he's exactly the kind of person you want for a game like this. You could also do this challenge using the bard, since they have an actual ability that distracts enemies and can't really damage anything.
One time I won a battle with bards. Most fell off the map and the enemies followed. The one I controlled just remained further away and I hit the enemies when they approached. Yes, bards have a secret attack but only players can use it. Pretty weak but works on weaker enemies.
@@DreamingNightmares Yeah, that's why I mentioned bards, they have the ability to draw enemies off the edge like Spiff was doing with the halflings.
@@CARCATGames Most of a time they kill themselves though. It's best to use them against melee units but make sure they're spread out so some remain after they die along with the army following them.
I remember back in the old days of tabs when people just spammed Peasants and just won every fight because of sheer numbers. This video reminds me of that nostalgia, so thanks.

TABS would probably also be cool with a 1 unit challenge. Though, there probably needs to be some limits other than just points since player-controlled scarecrow and secret units are way too strong.
Well some secret units, especially the cheaper ones, are actually quite average, in fact some would be completely useless on their own. Imagine an army of cheerleaders. They'd kill themselves and the one halfling on the other team will win.
@@DreamingNightmares Yeah, the problem, however, is that a lot of levels have 1-2k points to spend and when the secret units get to that price and higher, while some a still pretty bad, quite a few are very strong, especially when player controlled to keep distance. Not to mention CLAMS! which is a very strong controlled unit for only 500 points.
@@LeDoctorBones true... or just any ranged unit with enough cheerleaders and healers
@@DreamingNightmares Yeah, but that wouldn't work in a 1 unit challenge. And a single cannon, archer or similar wouldn't be broken.
@@LeDoctorBones if it's one unit only then one cheerleader would be even worse than using one bard... At least they can make other units fall off the map and have a secret attack...
I love the hell out of this game, nobody ever talks about it anymore, so I would be absolutely thrilled to watch more content about it :)
This was a great watch! A very fun idea as well, couldn't stop smiling and laughing throughout the numerous exploits you've done, especially the perseverance of squeezing into the tanks and eventually killing them. I hope there will be more than 2 videos about this!

Hey Spifgg, just in case you didn't know there's a battle royale version of TABS made by the same developers with the same everything, except its kind of like PUBG at the same time. Its called TABG, totally accurate battlegrounds. you might enjoy it

The is easily the funniest video I have seen on yt, watching the hobbit crawl into the tank and the horse squeeze off the balcony to get away from the hobbit had me bursting with laughter

Alright now try it with 1 singular halfling but you are blindfolded, can’t hear the game, eat 30 hotdogs every minute while singing Mariah Carey’s “All I Want for Christmas is You” but backwards and in Norwegian, and you also have a 32.8% chance of getting doused in water every time you press the space bar.

I got the discord notification for this while I was doing the dishes and I had to wait and I was very excited to be done with the dishes
One night I got bored and tried to beat the beginner campaign with wheelbarrows only, only to be immediately roadblocked by the harvesters on an early level. Oh well.

You move slower when you aren’t going straight forward, also I don’t remember if this works with halflings but most melee units get propelled forward by their own attacks which can help a lot with dodging

No this is my kind of video, as a TABS connoisseur, I know the best cheese strats, although without spawning stuff in hard to reach places and only halflings, it's a lot tougher (best cheese strat is the good faction guy with a book (can't remember his name) with like 2 cheerleaders, than you possess him and spam attack, also can be done with scarecrow but it is less effective
Never thought I'd see someone willing play tabs it's fun though I have it on my ps5

No clue if you read comments but a youtuber named dragoon beat a ton of campaign only using one unit and he used halfling in a lot of those levels
spiff, now you need to beat totally accurate battlegrounds with only weapons that use musket ammo. this is definitely not me trying to bring attention to a now dying game.
