Love my BPS 10 it’s pitted and worn but it works everytime and ejects shells like 15 ft still so I know it’s good for another decade

From my expirence with the 3.5in 12 ga. Those guns were so heavy i cracked 2 wood stocks and then went with the synthetic as they hold up better and don't split.

Thanks for your input. This example of the BPS10 is a 1989 manufacture date and has the flat back plate receiver... I wonder if that is the reason they went to a different stock pattern?...
Wood quality also makes a difference, and I have not been impressed by the wood on a lot of browning guns made after the 90's - seems cheap and straight grained. Could also lead to a lot of busted stocks.
Thanks for watching and the comment.

I saved and saved to pay off one I had on layaway while in school in 1994. 24” barrel, beautiful wood and blued iron. I was really sad after each time I used for ducks and Turks to see a new scratch, ding even so small not many would notice. But I did.😢. After a few years using it I figured my only solution was to buy the camo version nwtf. I had the money by then.. Now I have both the shinney bps and the cammo….then I picked up the cammo gold….love all three and the camo versions have really seen a lot of action….. But even though my poor ol shinney one just sits, I still love it and will never forget what I sacrificed to save up to purchase the pretty one
