As much as I hate the clear plastic on figures. ( looks at Jazz ) I'm still going to get it for a mainline representation oc Tracks and also because I can sort of do a impression of him
That's a good point. Though to be fair the Huffer is an Older Design, having been originally conceived in 2011, as for Cyclonus, it could be argued that's because he's a voyager, but they are both using the old style of clear insert pieces.
finally!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I now just wanna see the last fossilized figure, Wingfinger. My Wingfinger should be arriving sometime next week if lockdown doesn't slow down my packages. Still waiting for Tracks to come into stock on Amazon AU.

The legs actually hold together okay on mine. I guess that means mine is technically a defect but in a good way. I do enjoy him, but pretty much all of the issues he has were avoidable.

@@PerspectiveEnd So sorry to hear. He did use a kitchen cotton fabric to do it when he was pushing it a little in. So it didn't damage the plastic. ua-cam.com/video/disoinbQNRA/v-deo.html
Oh wow that's a lot of clear plastic. I don't understand why the windows can't just be painted black like most of them used to be or even like a smokey gray.
transparent windows have been a thing all the way back to g1 and transparent hinges became a thing in late 2000'2 and early 2010's and unfortunately have not gone away. Besides the transparent plastic hinges on this guy his backpack from the front doesn't look good and just hollow and the transparent plastic doesn't help it from looking like a hallow mess. Also stuff just not tabbing in is always a bother.
I know all that, but what I'm saying is that it used to be insert pieces that didn't bear the strain of transformation, and when it wasn't that the windows tended to be painted plastic, and when it wasn't that they tended to be on hinges that weren't at much risk of breaking. I think with TR at some point they decided that EVERY figure needed clear plastic.
@@PerspectiveEnd it has certainly become more common which isnt cool, but i remember way back to dotm and primerid where there wre clear plastic hinges, but like you said, they never felt as brittle and scary as they do now.
@@PerspectiveEnd when I was a kid I had the primerid toys and I remember bumblebee and ratchet having completely transparent pieces painted over and on hinges for transformation. I think it started way back then and when hasbro started making cheaper figures it became “normal”. But then it went away in siege and came back in earthrise, but then with huffer and cyclonus they went back to putting transparent pieces in the opaque plastic. So it’s just weird that tracks did this. I was really hoping that it was on the way out and the way buffer and cyclonus did it was the future
Wait there are people with issues in the calves? Bro theres a little bit of plastic detailing that if you shave it off it tabs perfectly + i was graced by the qc gods
I think the only reason this got so much paint is because they cheaped out in so many other areas. As for the head, I think it actually looks kind of big personally.
Happy with robot mode, overall. He'll probably need a touch-up at some point. The flying mode tail fins seem to be holding up nicely. Shins tab in a lot better.
This figure looks pretty good imo, the legs definitely could be better though I doubt I’ll get this version but once the road rage repaint is available where I am I’ll likely be picking her up Also as a side note, we’ve now had a voyager tigatron finally
My problem with Tracks wasn't quite in backpack material, but the chest being a fake piece and the proportions of this part. It depends on how they use the fake parts but here they didn't do a good job
I didn't have much of a problem with the backpack it self but the waste it represents, they could have made the legs better maybe if they wasted less money on the back pack. As for chest, I might have underplayed how incorrect it looks despite it's partsforming because the real issue to me is the stability of the legs.
@@PerspectiveEnd With what I had seen from Tracks because I didn't notice the signs of leg instability, I thought these would be just fragile. Although with the video I realize that the stability of the legs will be present in too many copies I expected the cast to be good to be able to see a cool Road Rage, although I think it will retain the same problems

I actually like the huge backpack, I mean the back of the car is just behind his head so I like to think he has a backpack instead a chunk of the car hanging on a hinge, I think what would be better is to make the tabs on the legs longer, taking advantage of the square pegs in vehicle mode, and replacing the clear plastic with regular plastic, then releasing it in buzzworthy bumblebee SS86 like they did with cliffjumper and kup, I own the figure and the windshield has a crack on it, and one of the hinges is broken, sucks but whatever, if I had a choice of getting the mold in which version I'd go with road rage because diaclone
Yes the tabs on the legs absolutely needed to be longer so they no longer had such trouble reaching the ports they are supposed to lock into.
I guess now I understand why Tracks preferred to stay in his auto mode
I would to if every time I to a step my shins catastrophically broke.
Interesting thing that just happened, i just transformed my tracks, no instructions nothing, took my time, and i liked his transformation, i can see how people can get confused with the legs and can get frustrated making it harder, but i enjoyed it
Edit: the order i went in, windshield / backpack , arms (half way) feet then rest of arms
i know i will talk more about road range rather than tracks itself, im just sad that road rage was just a recolor with a new head, i even have the mp road rage, thats how much i like her, while i think tracks looks good, i hoped for road rage to at leats fix the tolerances, and then have some remolded parts, since there are only a couple of early reviews i cant say for sure if the tolerances part is true or not, but, all i knows is that as things are right now, i have no desire for any version of this mold
I know. I love her too, and I also have her MP. It's just such a bummer that this mold was so pointlessly flawed.
This reminds me of a stuffed dragon I got a family member online a few years ago. It was well made and soft, but one of the horns was misaligned, sticking out of the center of the head instead of to the side and now we just call it "Disappointment personified".
You got it for, or you got it from?
I wonder how they screwed up the horn placement?
@@PerspectiveEnd I got it from etsy as a present for a family member, which I usually have a good track record with shopping from. Everything else was aligned properly except one of the horns. It was Magnadramon/Holydramon from digimon.
Couldn’t Hasbro make the clear pieces, uh normal, then cut out a section and put a clear piece of plastic?
That adds to the piece count and thus raises the price. Probably more than paint
That's what they used to do.
I was debating getting this thing to replace the reveal the shield one but no i dont think so
That's probably the correct choice.
Great vid!!!
Also, there are officially only six days until Kingdom!!!!!!
I know. Soon we won't have to assume it's bad, we will just know that it is.
@@PerspectiveEnd Look up "look how they massacred my boy" on UA-cam. Set the vid filters to today, and click the the thumbnail with BW meg's on it. It's awful.
Believe me. I've heard it.
I had UA-cam on auto play while I was cleaning and I don't know how such an obscure review fell into my feed even though I'm a subscriber and watch all your videos. I thought I was having a stroke. Your going at 25% speed as your current videos. It's a VERY noticeable difference. I'm not bitching. I just wonder if it's something you have looked back on and noticed yourself. ✌️
I've not intended to slowdown or speed up, I think it's just at what pace my brain is running at, at the time that determines the pace of my speaking.
And I don't think this is a particularly obscure one from me, though it sure doesn't have the views of the stuff around it.
But yeah I know that my pace has changed as I got better at reading scripts, but outside that I think it's kind of random how fast I go.
Thank you
You are more than welcome.
Late to the party, but the paint use really reminds me of Evasion Mode Optimus Prime
His hands and feet are gray plastic but are painted completely in blue and are color matched perfectly.
A bit funny how the Takara version also keeps the hands and feet unpainted.
Is it being like Evasion Mode Optimus a good thing?
Due to the incredible and dense amount of nostalgia I have for that toy, I couldn't say fairly.
Well seems like I’m not missing much on this guy, so thanks for that one
Happy to be of Service?
6:02 I never thought I would hear that comparison
That's just a phrase. I'm not the person who invented it.
@@PerspectiveEnd caught me off guard XD
Kingdom Tracks is extremely loose I tried to put him in my shelf but suddenly he falls
He does not love to stand.
I normally don't watch videos of figures I don't own yet but it's your video and gotta support my favorite reviewer
Thank you very much, and I'm the same way, I like to form my own opinions, sorry to bear such bad news. I hope it doesn't taint your enjoyment of the figure.
@@PerspectiveEnd it won't, my daughter and I don't have a Tracks so we need it anyway for our G1 line up
I transformed my kingdom rhinox while watching this and I’m now in a bad mood
I'm sure, that sounds like a Recipe for suck.
@@PerspectiveEnd yeah
He'd be proud of his paint and colors. "I'd rather stay in my stunning alt mode... But then I couldn't do this!" PEW PEW PEW
He's not proud of his ankles though.
As much as I hate the clear plastic on figures. ( looks at Jazz ) I'm still going to get it for a mainline representation oc Tracks and also because I can sort of do a impression of him
If you want it then, at least you've been informed of what to expect.
This probably means the figure was made for earthrise
Because cyclonus and huffer dealt with the clear plastic really well
That's a good point. Though to be fair the Huffer is an Older Design, having been originally conceived in 2011, as for Cyclonus, it could be argued that's because he's a voyager, but they are both using the old style of clear insert pieces.
It's like they specifically hired someone that hates Tracks to design this.
Well, maybe that's a bit exaggerative. It's just...WHY THE FUCK IS IT THE WAY IT IS.
I wouldn't put that pass them.
finally!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I now just wanna see the last fossilized figure, Wingfinger. My Wingfinger should be arriving sometime next week if lockdown doesn't slow down my packages. Still waiting for Tracks to come into stock on Amazon AU.
Wingfinger will come sooner rather than later.
Like I can wait a few years for a new tracks so what would you say try to get this or skip and wait
This is a Skip. I'll take a look at the Roadrage when that comes out but this version of the mold is a skip. Unless there's an upgrade to fix it, and then on if that's really good do I say consider it.
The legs actually hold together okay on mine. I guess that means mine is technically a defect but in a good way. I do enjoy him, but pretty much all of the issues he has were avoidable.
Yeah they didn't need to have defects be the good ones if they just made the tabs longer.
Thinking about all the WFC and Generations figures, I want this scale (1:32) for all vehicles, then making the bot modes as necessary. Maybe a third party can get this done. I do like his face though
So for you Vehicle scale is most important?
The way I solved Tracks legs were screw in 2 holes each on the nubs and put in a small paperclip.
They make Paperclips that small?
@@PerspectiveEnd Had to bend and cut them.
0:58 It’s a robot. What do you expect?
There are many Transformers figures that don't have bad proportions.
You reviewed this two days after I received mine actually.
I was too late to warn you then.
@@PerspectiveEnd I actually liked it for some reason.
Well hey, if the windshields ever break, you can just say it’s siege battle damage
That's the spirit, thought it will be a bit strange if a section of the hood breaks.
Despite how problematic this figure is im still gonna get him.
That's fine, as long as you are properly informed.
Mmmmmmm I like my vehicle more then my body
Yeah, it's definitely his better form.
Core ratchet, core bumblebee, vlyager starscream and voyager inferno got revealed
I didn't see the Starscream?
Oh wait no yes I did. For some reason I thought you were talking about the Studio Series line.
Great review! But I soon realised something while I watched this.
I think at least studio series jazz must have the same designer because I was fiddling with that figure and some of the points you made reminded me of him. Especially the look of the car mode, just me?
There are some similarities, but I think the Jazz was done a lot better, though those knees are quite similar.
Crotch-forming? Crotching? Groin-forming? Groining? Cod-forming?
How bout Monoskirt?
I got it today at Ross for 9.99. Mine doesn't have that floppy leg issue. The front sides of the car don't have those gaps either. It must be one of those later releases that Hasbro improved on those previous problems. I'm pleasantly surprised that I actually like him. He is good. Not great or bad. In reference to the copy I have.
I've not heard that there were later releases of this guy, but I'm happy you're enjoying it.
@@PerspectiveEnd Thanks. Sorry about yours. I have my share of duds too.
@@PerspectiveEnd Did you did the Larkin fix of pushing the pin in on the side of leg? Did it improved it at all?
I tried that, all it did was crack the plastic.
@@PerspectiveEnd So sorry to hear. He did use a kitchen cotton fabric to do it when he was pushing it a little in. So it didn't damage the plastic. ua-cam.com/video/disoinbQNRA/v-deo.html
Tracks rather stay in his sunning automode because of his big gaps between the feet and the clear plastic
Unfortunately it seems like he had a bit of a fender bender considering how messed up his grill is.
I think kingdom tracks should be repainted and retooled into loud pit
I mean he usually ends up that way.
Oh wow that's a lot of clear plastic. I don't understand why the windows can't just be painted black like most of them used to be or even like a smokey gray.
Yeah, I think a lot of people would be happier with that.
transparent windows have been a thing all the way back to g1 and transparent hinges became a thing in late 2000'2 and early 2010's and unfortunately have not gone away.
@@pandacyy2276 I can't say I know anything about that, I wasn't back into collecting until years after DotM.
Tip: When transforming him, pull the shin-flap things down first.
I've pretty much given up on ever transforming this again.
I don't mind the hinge or ball joints. I mind the fake chest, I mind that certain weapons doesn't fit into the vehicle..
The Fake Chest is so stupidly pointless, it actually looks worse than if they used the real one. How did they manage that.
Wait there are people with issues in the calves? Bro theres a little bit of plastic detailing that if you shave it off it tabs perfectly + i was graced by the qc gods
I mean this is the first I'm hearing of someone who didn't have trouble with that.
Its kind of fitting that tracks would have a massive paint job
Yeah I suppose on a meta level, IRL it's still a problem though.
Het Perspective. Which is better Tracks or Scorponok?
Tracks.
If his legs just had longer tabs he would be fine.
@@PerspectiveEnd K thx Spot him at my target. Mother allowed me to pick one. Picked tracks.
@@plumbr0907 I hope it works out better for you than on mine.
Do you have scorponok and wing-finger
Perhaps.
I mean I like the car robot modes head looks small I don't really care for paint like you always say but they could do that the whole time and didn't?
I think the only reason this got so much paint is because they cheaped out in so many other areas.
As for the head, I think it actually looks kind of big personally.
@@PerspectiveEnd about the paint yah but compared to his torso his head looked small
I mean his torso is SUPER wide.
Got mine yesterday and he's now sitting with floor polish out the wazzoo drying for 24 hours.
I fully understand why. I hope it helps.
@@PerspectiveEnd Thanks. ~4 hours until I can check and see if it helped or not.
Well it's been four hours, so how'd it turn out?
@@PerspectiveEnd You're keeping better time than I am. Checking now.
Happy with robot mode, overall. He'll probably need a touch-up at some point. The flying mode tail fins seem to be holding up nicely. Shins tab in a lot better.
This figure looks pretty good imo, the legs definitely could be better though
I doubt I’ll get this version but once the road rage repaint is available where I am I’ll likely be picking her up
Also as a side note, we’ve now had a voyager tigatron finally
It looks fine, but that's not where his problems lie. Hopefully the Roadrage is an upgrade like the Kingdom Inferno.
And yep I saw that.
Although with the video I realize that the stability of the legs will be present in too many copies
I expected the cast to be good to be able to see a cool Road Rage, although I think it will retain the same problems
Cast? What Cast?
@@PerspectiveEnd Sorry, my keyboard is to blame as I write in Spanish to translate it into English. I wanted to write mold or something that gave that context
The figure looks nice, definitely the best version of Tracks yet.
It looks good, but that's not where this things immense problems are stemming from.
That clear roof.... makes a lot if things worse... Loose legs.... NOOOO... I am not sure if getting it or not... I have mine pre-ordered, let´s see how it turns out to be.
I hope your's some how, holds together better.
I just Realized. 7K.
Mad Congrats Dude.
Thank you so much for all the support.
I really want this figure but ever time I watch a review and doubt more and more if I do, but then I’ll see another pic of it or something and I’ll kinda want it again. I’m very conflicted
I don't think you will hate it, but you will probably be disappointed by it, if my opinion is in line with everyone else's for once you know the Legs are a PROBLEM.
@@PerspectiveEnd they look like they are, but idk if it’s worth it or not yet

We need solid plastic. I don't mind painted windows
I don't think anyone would.
This figure gave me clear plastic phobia
I understand why.
Hey man, did you slow this one down on purpose? Because it sounds like it's a half a step slower than your normal cadence
No. Maybe I was just tired with this one or something?
I’ve ALWAYS been a fan of Tracks. Every version of him has been very priddy!!🥰 THIS one might be the best to date.
I don't know, I can't help but feel the MP was both Prettier and Made Better.
@@PerspectiveEnd I usually don’t ever include MP versions in my rankings because it’d be massively unfair. A good example of that would be MP BW Megs, he’s so cartoon accurate that he eclipses EVERYTHING before him, but for the longest time I would have put the OG figure BEFORE the MP version because of nostalgia! But, that is until KINGDOM BW MEGATRON CAME OUT & made me forget about BOTH!!😳🤯😍🥰
…I think it’s going to be the same case with Kingdom Tigatron, too. That is one sexy hunk of plastic!😊
