I won the QC lottery. My shoulders were properly assembled. Surprised you aren’t more bothered by the pin-head proportions. It feels 30% too small to me. You’re SO right about the backpack feeling too low. It bothers me to no end. But you’re wrong about the untabbing issue. That only happens because you have chosen to leave the pyramid shaped piece hanging off the back instead of placing it in the intended position. Do that and the whole thing locks together nicely. Not as nice as the treads fit the elbows when you position them just right… god I love that feature. Just so pleasing how it fits. That is the same position you need to get the sides of the chest to lock in in cannon mode, btw. You also need to make sure the larger tabs on the body of the cannon are locking in on the back side of the folding torso assembly. It’s hard to describe, but it will make sense in hand. Finally, glad you mentioned the chest locking issue, I had the same damn problem. Took me 10 minutes to figure it out. Overall, I’d give this one top tier ranking. Up there with Cyclonus and Scourge. Great trio of of figures.
I've done thing thing where I put the pyramid above his head, and found it didn't really change anything my self. This is the first vid I've watched for this dude, the beast megs plastic makes me nervous. That said I like Galvatron enough to get it and get the inevitable toy colour repaint haha
I'm surprised that no upgrade kit company hasn't made a shorter barrel for this guy cannon's yet. It's such a simple thing to fix! A better looking chain would be nice as well.
@@Vampyr787 Weird. The good news is telling me to do that did help me realize why it was so hard to get the spike up if the back pack is already plugged in.
Okay so i just learned HasTak new rules about Leader class: - Voyager sized Leader: trying to be screen accurated af, gives opening hands articulations, and bunch of accesories, Ex: ER Prime(not that accurate thou) - Small Leader: Having size between Voyager and leader, more accesories than the bigger Leader, Ex: Galvatron - Big Leader: It still not that big as the old leader but still feels like old leader class, fewer accesories, Ex: SS Grimlock I kinda get annoyed about Galvy Size at first but he actually bigger than Prime and has more accesories than Grimlock or BW Megatron. But i still wish he's not that wide or taller. Nontheless still a good figure
So is that like a list you developed, or is there some leak out there that these are their actual parameters. I think Galvatrons size is ok. It fits him well as the Powered up Megatron. But I do think that even though Wheelie sucks he's made of like 6 parts so it does kind of count as more than one Accessory.
Ok perspectiveend. Heres an idea about the 2 revenges that galvy has. THEYRE DRONES they fly around and shoot stuff then can do a combo rail gun attack. Thats how i think of mine. Also i painted his chain gold so it looks like hes super insane with his bling. Also the revenge guns can peg onto his back with the thin slots
Prime works well as both a leader and voyager IMO. Prime with trailer is a leader class since you have to account for the engineering of the trailer. Prime without trailer is voyager.
There is no engineering in the trailer. It's a Box that a Toddler could design. Rectangle that splits in half isn't hard. That thing wasn't worth 1 dollar more.
I think the guns or 1 of them is meant to go on the unicron stand with the other tiny fingers but that just needs 1 for display and it’s a wired looking gun. Also there is rumoured about a generations selects repaint of galvatron so maybe that would scrap the guns and give us blast effects
I mean I get One. One of those guns would make sense. But why two, that's my question. Man a Gen Selects repaint of this would be a bit strong huh. There would be a Higher expectation of that than just a Netflix.
@@PerspectiveEnd I think the rumour is it’s the light grey repaint like the original G1 toy and not sure what a Netflix figure would do. The Netflix line doesn’t have any leader repaints mainly voyagers with extra stuff thrown in, it would be nice to see one with a solid orange cannon and maybe a cleaner paint finish or they might do the Netflix megatron route and have accurate battle damage if he shows up in the show
I had that initial issue with Galvatron not locking together and I realized the issue is that the joints are just extremely finicky - You have to have all 3 hinges in the exact right spot and it locks great. If they are off at all, the figure will not peg together properly in Alt mode. It’s annoying but it does lock when in the right place.
@@PerspectiveEnd the 3 or so panels that are apart of Galvatron’s arm/shoulders. They must be exactly in the right position or else the arms will not lock into the chest in cannon mode. Namely I do it by locking the arms into the chest first and then peg the rest of the arm parts together.
I have a plan for how to sort the risk of getting one with bad shoulders. There is a toy store 35-40 minutes away from my house that famously has some of the best stocked Transformers in the UK. Last trip there I got Dinobot, Bumblebee, Netflix Soundwave and Elita-1 (I know you have mixed feelings about those last three but they were a good find). The plan is to go find Galvatron and look at several on the shelf, comparing the shoulders, hoping to find one with the correct configuration so I know I'm getting the right one before I pay for it. Like I said, it has a good track record, so hopefully I'll have a lot to look at.
Nice. There basically aren't toy stores in the US at all any more, so I don't have that luxury, hope it works out for you, but even so the work around is easy and not a problem.
@@PerspectiveEnd I preferred your incisive expose on the absurd nature of Galvy’s weapon/ship model. Maybe they gave Galvy a model spaceship to match Megs’ model of… himself.
Great video, man! I can't wait until I get the kingdom leaders that aren't reissues or retools(including this one). You really swayed my opinion towards getting one of these.
Well I hope you like it, I mean I expect you will but there's always that chance that I've convinced someone to get something they may not care for and that would bum me out. I assume when you say I swayed you into getting one of them, you mean this one. You aren't bringing up something I said some other time right?
@@PerspectiveEnd Nope. I'm talking about Galvatrony-macaroni here. Kingdom Megatron I've wanted since it was announced. I'm going to be saving up quite a bit so I can get them...
@@PerspectiveEnd yeah. Amusingly, a friend actually told me he found a copy when I was out with my parents last night for Father’s Day. He ended up buying it for himself since I really didn’t want to make myself the focus on Father’s Day.
I got this from BBTS, they sent me one from a batch with proper assembled shoulders and I don't have any of the tab issues. Overall he's great. He's big though which makes sense since he's a creation of unicron but I'm getting a bit tired of Hasbro making Optimus prime the smallest voyager every damn time they make one for a line. I pre-ordered the toy deco version, seen the exclusive reformatted deco on pulse but I'm like nah not interested. For the longest time I used my Unique toys "Mania king" as my stand in galvatron until this was released still a cool figure in its own right but not without it's flaws.
A very nice toy in my opinion. Also, they made a running change to the toy that fixes the shoulders. I'm going to wait a bit longer until I get this. Also, I recently got the Thrilling 30s Blitzwing and the ER Starscream. Starscream is pretty good, but Blitzwing isn't good.
Someone spilled a bucket of paint on the escalator and he didn't notice before taking a ride... Apparently he was also practicing his pirouettes while going up, that's how it got onto the insides of his ankles as well.
Of course he has Megatron's face, G1 Galvatron is essentially Megatron but with a new body, always has been like this. The only difference between the two faces was the "goatee" on his chin and the lack of black eyebrows.
I just picked up mine today, and as someone who bought the titans return Galvatron that was like the only figure I have that I call a waste of money, I was very happy with this figure especially since I got the correct shoulders.
I thought the exact same with transforming him and I spent 20 minutes on that stupid hinge. Then I thought ohh what is I do it the other way and it worked
Oh man you won't care when you do, and they did was reveal concept art. I think it was on the official Hasbro Pulse youtube channel but I'm not sure. Sorry I couldn't be more help.
Well they don't sit flush with the ground. If they aren't pressing into the ground, then they aren't providing support. So he rocks back like he doesn't have them, and falls over a lot.
I think every version of the Kingdom Galvatron has the mis-assembled shoulders, but the gen selects version actually has them assembled right. It doesn’t completely bother me, but if I’m being honest, this shouldn’t have been something Hasbro missed, but maybe one day I might get the gen selects one just because I kinda like the colors on that more, but idk. I put a lot of buts in here.
I wish I had him early like a lot of people got him super early which baffled me extremely but also I really want to just get rid of my universe 2.0 Galvatron from years ago I hope I get the kingdom one some day though he has a few problems and for some odd reason another Matrix when Hot Rod from SS86 didn't even really need one, he has nowhere to store it lol.

Looks very good. Apart from the shoulders. Good video. Keep it up!!!
Honestly the shoulders aren't even that much of a problem.
This is a great review. I really want to get a Kingdom Galvatron even more now. And i can't wait for Wednesday's video! Also, Perspective, there are videos on how to fix the shoulder issue for Galvatron, if you didn't know already.
Thank you, glad you enjoyed it, and it will be a fun one, I anticipate people telling me it's their favorite video of mine. And yes I know thank you, I've been getting messages all day about that. Thanks for looking out for me though.
9:03 what interrupted starcream's coronation!!
I feel like you are about to tell a Joke so I'll play along.
I don't know, what did interrupt Starscream's Coronation?
This is the first vid I've watched for this dude, the beast megs plastic makes me nervous. That said I like Galvatron enough to get it and get the inevitable toy colour repaint haha
I think the Toy Colors repaint was either leaked or semi confirmed already.
His fists look like he is about to give one of his own soldiers a middle finger
Yeah the middle one sure is sticking out weirdly.
I'm surprised that no upgrade kit company hasn't made a shorter barrel for this guy cannon's yet. It's such a simple thing to fix! A better looking chain would be nice as well.
Backpack does tab securely if you put back spike on the top. If it is on the back it's hinge prevents peg to peg securely.
I just tried that, it doesn't seem to work for me. It seems about the exact same up or down?
@@PerspectiveEnd So it might vary from toy to toy. It does stay securely on mine but only when the spike is up.
@@Vampyr787 Weird. The good news is telling me to do that did help me realize why it was so hard to get the spike up if the back pack is already plugged in.
Okay so i just learned HasTak new rules about Leader class:
- Voyager sized Leader: trying to be screen accurated af, gives opening hands articulations, and bunch of accesories, Ex: ER Prime(not that accurate thou)
- Small Leader: Having size between Voyager and leader, more accesories than the bigger Leader, Ex: Galvatron
- Big Leader: It still not that big as the old leader but still feels like old leader class, fewer accesories, Ex: SS Grimlock
I kinda get annoyed about Galvy Size at first but he actually bigger than Prime and has more accesories than Grimlock or BW Megatron.
@@PerspectiveEnd it just my developed list
Awesome video Perspective End!!
Thank you very much, glad you enjoyed it.
I love everything about the toy...Except for the head.
Yeah it's all good except for the head.
Yep.
6:24 He does look a bit menacing with those gun-pylons.
He looks especially menacing when he's towering over Magnus.
That works in a silly fun way. Galvatron loves his ship so much he makes tiny copies to be his wing men.
Yeah, overall I think that he is a great figure. I like both mode. Great review.
Thank you very much, and yeah, both his modes are pretty right.
3.1k subscribers perspective this is good stuff congrats
Thank you very much, you guys are the best and I can't believe how luck I ma to have you all.
@@PerspectiveEnd am not ma
The Netflix line doesn’t have any leader repaints mainly voyagers with extra stuff thrown in, it would be nice to see one with a solid orange cannon and maybe a cleaner paint finish or they might do the Netflix megatron route and have accurate battle damage if he shows up in the show
Galvitron can be used as ER Scorponoks giant gun.
The shins look like he walked in mud

I can’t stop enjoying this figure
It's a really cool one.
@@PerspectiveEndyup
Even im tired of the matrixes now
That's what I've been trying to say for so long now.
Which part are we talking about?
Gotta say galvatrons alt mode always looks funny to me
Yeah as a Kid I despised it. Now it's just something from my childhood.
Good use of the word “assuaged!” Love that word. Always removes all anxiety and leaves me feeling confident and mellow.
And how do you feel about Starscream and his cape, cause that's the real hard hitting work I did in this video.
@@PerspectiveEnd I laughed aloud at multiple points. I am no longer surprised when you make me do that. Good show, sir. Good show.
@@PerspectiveEnd I preferred your incisive expose on the absurd nature of Galvy’s weapon/ship model.
Maybe they gave Galvy a model spaceship to match Megs’ model of… himself.
@@tawdryhepburn4686 So what you are saying is that Galvatron is a Car Guy who loves his rid, and Megtron is just Vain?

@@Firebyte27 Kingdom Megs is a huge recommend from me.
@@PerspectiveEnd yeah. Amusingly, a friend actually told me he found a copy when I was out with my parents last night for Father’s Day. He ended up buying it for himself since I really didn’t want to make myself the focus on Father’s Day.
@@Firebyte27 Your friend was with YOUR parent's for Father's day?

Galvatron makes a great joker, he's insane, a bad guy, and he has a purple getup, now all he needs is bat mode optimus primal to fight against
Man now I want Mark Hamill Galvatron.
Yeah he needs to stop being a small voyager they are calling a leader.
Man that Mania King looks weird.
9:03 indeed (that starscream tho)
Glad you enjoyed that part.
Yeah, I've heard that the Thrilling 30 was terrible.
It's weird that mine isn't one of the newer ones, it was just stocked.
@@PerspectiveEnd I guess you just got unlucky with Galvatron
I really want to get this when It becomes more widely avalable, and I plan to get some purple cloth for starscream and recreate the coronation murder
Just like I did! And yeah waiting is probably the good idea that way you get the proper shoulders.

2:51 it’s from the brush’s on the side of the escalator
Someone spilled a bucket of paint on the escalator and he didn't notice before taking a ride... Apparently he was also practicing his pirouettes while going up, that's how it got onto the insides of his ankles as well.
Of course he has Megatron's face, G1 Galvatron is essentially Megatron but with a new body, always has been like this. The only difference between the two faces was the "goatee" on his chin and the lack of black eyebrows.
I always thought their faces looked more different than that.
Why do I get the feeling that Wednesday's review is gonna be on Kingdom Rodimus, and it'll less of a review than something akin to a public execution?
Who knows, maybe?
I just picked up mine today, and as someone who bought the titans return Galvatron that was like the only figure I have that I call a waste of money, I was very happy with this figure especially since I got the correct shoulders.
Nice! And yea that TR figure definitely had one of the worst Ideas I've ever seen.
I hate being dramatic here but this galvatron figure quickly became on my favorite figures in my collection
_the Barney megatron cometh_
Na that's already here, the big purple Dinosaur has been around since wave one.
Maybe the legacy one will get rid of these joint problems.

8:20 monkeys paw? Did somebody call Optimus primal over?
He's no monkey. He's an ape.
BEHOLD, GALVATORN! I love it but the head ok to me.
The head is odd.
Honestly, I'm far more interested in the G1 toy coloured version which
has been confirmed. That's my preferred paintjob for ol' crown scalp.
Really the normal main line version is not the one you want. You don't say?
@@PerspectiveEnd Lol. What can I say? I love me some Marvel UK Galv!
7:49I genuinely want to understand this criticism on the toy. I just don’t see how “occasional movement in heels = no heels”
Apparently there is at least 1 run of the Kingdom version that has the correct shoulders.
@@PerspectiveEnd Huh
I wish I had him early like a lot of people got him super early which baffled me extremely but also I really want to just get rid of my universe 2.0 Galvatron from years ago I hope I get the kingdom one some day though he has a few problems and for some odd reason another Matrix when Hot Rod from SS86 didn't even really need one, he has nowhere to store it lol.
