Yeah, the extras with Astrotrain were great! That coal cart really make the train mode pop, even if it's a bit useless in his other modes. And considering that Hasbro tends to underarm Transformers these days (up to and including sometimes not giving them any weapons at all) it was really nice they gave Astrotrain a full armory of his own.
G1 Blitzwing had 2 balling alt modes and a robot mode that took the hit to make the vehicle modes good. This figure took that and flipped it, giving us a killer robot mode with two suffering alt modes.

@@PerspectiveEnd I just watched a video on how the "tank dick" was actually on purpose due to the original toy having it and also the g1 cartoon having it 😭

Even the compromises of the Titans' Return jet mode are pretty cool. The Soviets had a number of ground attack or interceptor aircraft armed with big Nudelman autocannons - the most famous being the MiG-15 - so Blitzwing having a massive gun pod under the fuselage is exaggerated but fits in with his real world counterparts.

What is there to love about having a huge cockpit sticking out in the front in tanks mode? What is there to love about having a castle hanging from behind in flight mode? Jets is supposed to look likes jets, not buildings.
My TR Blitzwing has a terrible QC issue where the legs can't collapse fully. It can still transform, but it causes both modes not to line up correctly. And even with that, it would not switch it for the new one

If i had to guess, they were going to have pieces of it disguised as weapons included with a bunch of figures in the line and then have them combine together to form the energon monster.
Actually titans return is more accurate due to the fact the original g1 toy before becoming blitzwing had the thrusters in the front and the cockpit in the back. The people drawing the show where just dumb when they transformed the figure.
While the venom is still fresh, did you know that up here in Canada Toys R Us is selling the new cliffjumper for the equivalent of 40usd when you you get tax in there?
I had recently heard that Canada Toy R' Us is crueler that Scalpers. What Sickening Evil is that? Like What a monkey's paw. You still have it, but it's evil.
You're review has convinced me that if I want this figure, to wait for it to go on clearance. Thank you PerspectiveEnd for your honest thoughts on Legacy Blitzwing. Keep on being amazing.
Likewise. I just gotten a hold of a Takara Legends Blitzwing and once this fella is going on clearance, I'ma cannibalise it, most probably the head and see if anything is worth mix and matching 😂😂
I honestly don't understand how you see this being a shitty figure even after watching it. My only nitpicks of Legacy Blitzwing was that it was a Voyager+ figure and that it was G1 instead of Animated.
Cause the Tank is the Ugliest thing I've ever seen. I can not Stress just how much I HATE looking at it, they flat out RUINED that mode, and then the jet was never going to be good in the first place with the way they decided to design it. The tank would have been fine without the Dick on the front. Outside that the Transofmations are good, and the posing is acceptable, but it's not really worth the AWFUL altmodes.
ProspectiveEnd, I hope you enjoy the figure I recommended more than the “Leader Class” you just review. It so impressed me that I ordered the Mechanic Studios figure that preceded Thunderbolt in numbering scheme MS-27 Poison their take on a legends class G1 cartoon ver of Octane.
Got my hands on Sludge, and I cannot believe how each Dinobot keeps getting worse and worse. Grimlock was perfect on QC and nothing liked to pop off, then Slag is slightly loose and too tight in many areas and his back wings have a chance to pop off, plus he also has weird proportions. Now take Slags issues and double it as Sludge is a mess. Legs are very loos and barely keep him up, his wings are loose as hell and will pop off as soon as possible, proportions are worse in person than in the images with skinny arms and thick legs. Only decent thing about him is that his Dino Mode is amazing and the best part of him. Still get him if you want but Rodimus Unicronus needs to kill Sludge like in the POTP show and end his suffering as the worst Dinobot (so far)
Seems like you got a really bad case of QC. The only loose part on my sludge is one back wing, I think I got amazing QC on sludge but not for my slag, the ratchet broke immediately after one transformation… grimlock is perfect no flaws with him on my copy.
Damn Cody, I did not know they were getting worse and worse, I only got Grimlock so far, may actually look into this and in worst case scenario skip the rest, thanks for your input.
I actually really like Blitzwing’s giant laser hand accessories. They’re soooo cool and they remind me of hand bosses that shoot lasers out of their fingers.
You are like the Third person in a ROW to like the Laser Hands. What are you swapping between all your alts to talk it up? Are you talking about the Sub Space Emissary?
@@PerspectiveEndi like the hands in tank mode they remind me of missile launchers and honestly overall i like this figure the tank mode is meh but the bot mod and tank mode i like a lot the only thing in the tank mode i domt like is seeing his head but even the nose cone reminds me of his g1 tank mode
I personally am a fan of this figure, even with all its flaws I still think it’s a fun toy at the end of the day. However, I’m still such a big fan of your stuff, even if you are roasting a figure I like, I still laugh at the flaws that you point out. Keep up the good content!
Thank you I'm glad to hear that, and I'm glad that you still enjoy the figure after getting it. It's always better when people enjoy the stuff they get. So glad you didn't wind up disappointed.
In my opinion the only thing keeping me from getting this is the price The figure looks okay, for a voyager, not a leader. The only reason this is a leader is the triple changing
Ideally I would transplant the Legacy Blitzwing head onto the TR body with some custom neck adaptor, but looks just a bit too wide to store in the titan master cockpits.
@@PerspectiveEnd I sometimes wonder if I'm being an over critical asshole, but when you have the same complaints, I feel a bit more justified for the severity of my reviews. But it could just be that we're both assholes, and naturally, think alike. Idk.
As much as I love my toys being accurate to the G1 cartoon I wouldn’t mind some changes if it meant getting rid of that stupid cockpit in the front of the tank
How to make it better 1. Get rid of the cockpit on the tank and make a flap to flip over that area 2. Flip in the boosters on the tank back 3. Try and compress the tank tread kibble into being part of the wings. 4. At least it’s better now
I prefer the look of this guy than the Titan's return version. The reason why it's leader is due to engineering like Hot Rod being a voyager other than accessories
What do you mean the Leader Engineering like hotrod? The TR is Better Engineered? Now the Stickers were a lame choice, but on an Engineering front the TR is Just as cleaver if not more so.
@@PerspectiveEnd It does a better job hiding some of the tank parts in the jet mode. And the robot size? I've always thought Blitzwing was at Megatron sized, but the "almighty" scale chart says otherwise.
Alr so I’m not here to juxtapose my opinion but I’ll give a quick run down on why I feel the legacy is better. 1) Robot mode is more accurate. 2) I really can’t sugar coat the TR tank. There too much purple everywhere and a bathtub on top. The wings at the back don’t help. It looks like a toy. 3) I feel the jet modes are tied. Legacy has an awkward undercarriage but it makes one cool flight stand. The sculpt has a charm too it but it’s not the best. The TR jet whilst having a superior sculpt, quite literally has the arms visible. I hate visible body parts in vehicles. Can’t stand it. 4) the TR is too large. I know scale isn’t for everyone, but it matters to many. 5) TR looks so awkward in the primary display mode. The mold poses so basically and stands out like a sore thumb in a modern chug collection. Missing many what are considered vital points.(wrists, ankles, waist). There’s many more pints but this is a YT comment. I’d love to have a chat about this figure over discord. I’m the same user who informed you of kingdom pipes having double painted wheels.
What do you mean the Legacy has MORE purple. The entire top of the tank and part of the sides is purple, the whole Rear of the TR is purple but it's still less over all. The Jetmodes are not tied dude. Not even 1%. You may want to believe that, but it's not even close. Not even a little. I will conceded that the Legacy Tank is the best tank ever, before I concede that the jets are equal. The arms are JUST as visible on the Legacy, hell they are transformed LESS, it's just the fists wind up on the outside. Blitzwing is supposed to be a bigger than normal dude. Anyways yeah we can continue this convo on discord just DM me about it.
I've been wondering if this figure is worth getting over the Titans Return, but after seeing this I think I'll save up for a tr blitzwing instead. Sweet review as always, I do miss the rage sometimes. (If anyone reading gets that reference, lol.)
Thank you so much, and yeah It's nice to FREE THE BEAST every now and then. And I agree with that Decision. The TR is a figure I always Recommend to people.
Some already said this in the Emgo video about this guy, but if they would’ve engineered a way to make the tank kibble rotate so the middle of the tank would be a the back of the jet. This wouldn’t outright make the jet mode spectacular, but it would make it look more aerodynamic and cohesive.
The worst part about the tank was with the original diaclone figure, the plane cockpit was on the back and I’m pretty sure the same transformation was with the original g1 toy too
I was planning on getting this Blitwing but looking at it more and you saying it looks awful and this video I can say I'm not touching this figure at all. What is your opinion on the Starscream coronation set that is being sold for leader price?
The Starscream wasn't good enough when it was a Voyager, slapping some opening hands on it doesn't make it a leader. I want the other stuff from the box, but I don't need a second copy of that thing.
Gotta say this has the worst accessory between voyager sized leader deceptions. Shockwave has armor that make him abit bigger, astrotrain has a coal tender that's also a launchpad. Gonna hope that the eventual octane doesn't have this.
It looks better than i thought it would honestly. But there's so much compromise that really didn't need to be here. And a lot of it seems to lean towards "accurate to a fault" where they tried, or didn't at all, and failed on some fronts. The robot i like how it looks, but the other two modes i wish were better. At least the rest of wave 2 seems to be really good and blows this thing out of the water.
This makes me sad. If I can afford it, I might buy it because I’m a Blitzwing fan and I’ve been waiting for a new figure for years, but I do have the TR so I might sit tight. I could get past the issues if I tried but this figure has so many with its looks that it seems hard too. At least the QC and transformation were fine though, and that robot mode is stellar and edges out the slightly wonkier proportions of the TR. It’s a shame though, I was really excited for this once I heard they were doing a new G1 Blitzwing so all I can say is that I’m disappointed in Hasbro. Also, regrettably I gotta say that the world feels normal again now that Legacy has a bad figure in its toyline. Brings me back to the “nostalgic” days of Earthrise where every figure I bought was qc hell 😫
If they didn't intentionally Ruin it by putting the dick on the front this could have been a good figure. The good news is the QC was good on this. I don't think we are on our way back to bad figures being the norm.
@@PerspectiveEnd Lol yeah that "cockpit" really takes a down a couple levels lol. I've noticed an improvement in the QC in the Legacy figures I've gotten so far, especially with the quality of clear plastic. I still have nightmares of my ER Bluestreak snapping in half... I do hope you are right. Besides this, Legacy seems quite promising. I'm looking forward to Elita-One and Motormaster if I am able to afford him.
I don't care what people say about the legacy blitzwing , I find it to be a great improvement over the titan and thrilling thirty blitzwing also the tank mode was all over the place in g1 cartoon because I have seen some scenes in the show where the nose of the jet sticks out like a sore thumb .
I mean to be fair you are right on both of your points, but most of the time the Chode was less prominent, and even if it was always there, it's a Hideous Bad idea that should just burn in hell, it doesn't matter that it's G1 accurate, it's awful no matter what. Just like Huffers shoulders and they chose to fix them in Kingdom.
Great Video! FOr the JEt mode, i detatch the kibble and fold it out to kinda form a flight stand and i thjink it looks fine. I totally agree that the fists are stupid. I think that they should have charged voyager price and made more than usual because people may have bought more if it was voyager and no hands
I saw a video that really made me dislike the figure. The animation team in g1 got his rank mode backwards, and his jet mode was colored in a way on the original toy to have the mind erase the tank junk on the wing, they didn’t design the toy like that because they wanted to, they did it because that’s all they could do, so they used a really good use of color theory to have the human brain fix that. The animators were just to simple brained at the time to understand what they were going for. Then for whatever reason legacy designers decided to keep the bad mistake of the past while sculpting the figure in a way that you can’t turn the tank turret around to look correct, or format the wings in a way where the look somewhat decent, rather than having the kibble be shaped of the wings which is actually less distracting than what they did. They decided to do slap a brick of loose panels under it. don’t even get me started on the arm panels, who designed those, the person who designed Tracks legs? Then those big hands, I was actually really excited for them, thought they were cool and could got well with other figures. sadly the actual port inside them is too short for any one to hold onto. Blitzwing can’t hold onto them, all so they could be stored in his tank mode which makes it look worse than it already does. I don’t get this figure, I can’t keep my hands off of him because how fun it is to pose and transform, yet it hurts to look at him. wish I could say that for astrotrain who hurts to look at and is not fun to play with. I hear people say that earthrise astrotrain is so much better than titans return. now while I didn’t get Tr astrotrain I had TR sentinel prime, that mold is so much cooler looking and fun to play with, and it’s not shorter than Megatron. I know that ER Astrotrain is scaled for his train mode, which was a smaller Japanese train. frankly I don’t care, in the cartoon he was able to fit so many decepticons in him in both modes, and he was huge in most shots in robot mode. he should have been a commander to equal out Jetfire. Also love how much he played into the series on netflix shows up at the end as big as Omega Supreme to do nothing and never appear again. The fact both astrotrain and blitzwing are shorter than siege Megatron (who in my opinion is already too short) is just dumb. then SS separates it’s triple changers into two figures. It seems like hasbro hates Triple changers in recent years as the only decent one is Snapdragon, who still isn’t that good of a figure. I love both of the decepticon triple changers, love blitzwing design, grew up with animated after all, and I have always loved trains, so to see them get such mediocre figures is terrible. I do not understand how anyone could defend either of those figures, also you complain about long legs, I can get by long legs as long as the knee is in a spot that it’s useful. ER Astrotrain has his knees so high up, his shin is like 4 times the length of his thigh.
@@PerspectiveEnd alright fixed it, sorry I didn’t reread it, I’ll start doing that, I typed this on my phone at the time, I’ll probably use my computer from now on.
I love the titans return jet mode 😍 you can use the tank turret as a display stand which was unintentional but is basically the best feature of an already pretty cool toy
The jet cockpit in the front was a design error from the animation studio: it was supposed to go on the back while the "thrusters" stickers had to go on the front lmao The g1 box, instructions and even the diaclone version hide the cockpit on the back lmao
Hasbro pulse is selling this guy at clearance for 30 bucks right now. I also genuinely dont know what shade of purple this guy is supposed to be because some images seem to give it a lighter purple and others seem to give it a darker purple.
@@PerspectiveEnd I'm actually currently waiting for it to arrive so I can see wether or not I'll like it. Yes it does have the weiner tank. Yes it does have the squish jet. But I'll be darned if it doesnt look nice in robot mode, and I'm mostly looking for a fun and interesting transformation between the three modes.
I actually love the kibble on Legacy Blitzwing, I think it looks cool as hell, I love front cones on land vehicles cause they just look cool, and this is where we just become opposites I think, cause I just love these features for no reason. Not for Blitzwing though. He's a military officer, not a road bandit. And the plane mode is obviously bad. Why are the shoulders so restricted? The shoulders alone is a dealbreaker. In case I want Tarn to behead him and flay his head open the TR one has that feature. The TR version's tank mode is better at capturing the spirit of the character than the G1 cartoon version for some reason, and the jet mode is great cause it looks like a space version of a MiG so the kibble is not a problem. I like him. Looks really cool compared to the Legacy version. And the shoulders are unrestricted. Why is that so hard? Found some TR Blitzwings online, but out of stock. I see. Now I know that I have to buy TR Triggerhappy first. So here's my planned purchases in order, incorporating your recommendations: 1. TR Triggerhappy 2. Legacy Cosmos 3. Core Shockwave 4. Core Grimlock 5. Core Ratchet 6. Legacy Bombshell TR Blitzwing and 86 Grimlock is somewhere between, whenever I can buy them. What do you think? I'm positive that Velocitron's gonna stop being Walmart exclusive, I've seen numerous Netflix Soundwaves in one store, and recently found a whole shelf of WFC Netflix Deluxes. And Buzzworthy stuff is everywhere. Phew. If I didn't remember that I would have had no hope of getting Legacy Cosmos. And Override is cool too. Notice a Happy Meal Minion toy in my first Kleiode photo? These are my little sister's, and if she buys one minion toy that isn't a Happy Meal I swear, I'll try Warpath's arm chainsaws on it. I can save MP Soundwave for later cause barely anyone knows the cartoons in my country so no one would buy. There's more weebs in my country than dedicated Transformers fans. And it's kinda sad to see that when the CHUG figures have peaked and are straight up better than high quality Gundam model kits. Look at Kingdom Cyclonus. 86 Grimlock. The Siege seekers. 86 Wreck-Gar. Kingdom Warpath. Space Bumblebee. Siege Hound. Core class anything except the Hot Rod. Kingdom Beast Megatron. Siege Optimus. How are they still overlooked? I really love Kingdom Warpath, he's like my second favorite teddy bear even though he isn't a teddy bear at all. He feels so chonky.
How does it look cool? I am legitimately confused by this? I too want to see Tarn exact an unbearable tole upon him. Trigger Happy being Number 1 I fully agree with that is a figure you absolutely don't want to miss. Never seen anyone unhappy to have one. Hey I hope you are right, people in other countries deserve a chance at the velocitron sets. What is this a bout a Kleoide photo? Well at least you don't have a ton of Competition.
Still so thankful for this video, because every time I look at my Siege Astrotrain, and think “man, should I get that Blitzwing to pair with him?” And get a good reminder why I haven’t gotten Blitzwing lol
I saw another review that pointed out the "g1" design in the cartoon was an animation error because they had the turret backwards. The plane nose was supposed to be in the back and the box art of the original toy shows that as well. They also noted that the kibble seemed to be sort of based on contrast art, where you are supposed to pretend the purple bits aren't there in tank mode and Grey bits aren't there in jet mode.
Hasbro needs to bring back ultra class which was an in-between voyager and leader size class. It was a great way to get big high quality figures for a cheaper price than a leader.
Bro, I’m just being honest, but you are like the one reviewer I know that has no sense of fun. Idk, just thought I’d share. Like it’s not a bad thing, cause sometimes you need reality, but MAN HAVE MORE FUN!!!
I think I have fun, have you seen my video on the Acid Rain toys. I had a great time with that one, it's just a silly good time. This figure is just uniquely bad and frustrating.
i bought both figure brand new to compare how did they cost to make per figure and I found out that the the legacy figure 24% less than the titans retun
I think that even though this figure is extremely comprised, if you can see past it it’s a solid figure. And while they are egregious, I still subjectively love it ngl.
Oddly enough, the feet are what I would’ve wanted the ER Seeker mold to have, so that the alt mode could be accurate. It’d be equally inaccurate in robot mode, sure, but they wanted to give it heel support, so I think this design liberty would’ve worked better than what they actually went with.
i'll be real, i don't even like the head, i think it has to be the silver they used, it just seems too reflective, it makes him look like a power rangers helmet
Robot mode; unassuming but subtly off Jet mode: least aerodynamic plane since TR Broadside... no, wait, that's an insult to Broadside Tank mode: Brings a whole new meaning to "cock"pit
Funny thing, if you examined the G1 Blitzwing toy more clearly, you'll find out that it was backwards in media the whole time. The jet cockpit was supposed to be the back of the tank mode, but whoever did the lineart for the tank mode fumbled up so badly that most G1-styled Blitzwing tanks have that dingy cockpit slapped onto the front.

It would be so good if it was an upgraded TR Blitzwing (ankle tilts, sword wielding wrists, wrist/waist swivel) with the Takara Legends color scheme. And I’d love it if they changed the hands to random guns. Edit: THE HANDS PARTSFORM??!! I thought it was hinged similar to CW Devastator.
Absolutely. That would have been the Perfect solution. He was so close already, just make his tank a little more accurate, and up the quality over all.
The whole reason for blitzwing having a cockpit in the dead center of his tank mode is the fact that when the diaclone toys where being brought from japan someone who worked on G1 mistransformed the diaclone figure that would become blitzwing cause the original fig had the cockpit at the back of the tank.
Did you know that the tank mode is even wrong in g1. The cockpit is supposed to be facing backwards. It's on the g1 transformation instructions on the box.
Yeah, I didn't used to think of it that way either. But the TR had this gimmick where Spring loaded purple bits pop up along the sides of his head, and I looked into why that was. Learning it was to mimmick that.

Thank you, and I'm glad to hear that, waiting for this to be on sale is the smart choice.
@@PerspectiveEnd You're welcome. :D It is a smart choice.
Likewise. I just gotten a hold of a Takara Legends Blitzwing and once this fella is going on clearance, I'ma cannibalise it, most probably the head and see if anything is worth mix and matching 😂😂
Bang 'n' Burn with love to you and channel. Always a great time.
I have never heard that phrase before? Thank you so much.
@@PerspectiveEnd Just keep hanging in there.
Also I kinda like the giant fists. I like to put them in other figures like Vi’s Atlas Gauntlets from Arcane
Maybe they could have been cool if they weren't designed to look the way they do. Also Really they couldn't hinge, they had to separate and attach?
Deep down, we're all doodle bears hoping to break free from our armor.
That sounds like a Motivational poster.
I was not expecting that going into this review great review btw
Thank you very much. Why didn't you expect it, and what did you expect.
I usually don't win giveaways this is the first one
Still getting it, if the transformations are good then I can put up with everything else
I mean it has to be better, there's no way it's not. That isn't possible.
I have heard REALLY bad stuff about his QC.
Don't you dare say that about Rodimus Unicronus. That was a True Tragedy.
@@PerspectiveEnd I rewatched POTP and was just confused why it was just Sludge that died.
Damn Cody, I did not know they were getting worse and worse, I only got Grimlock so far, may actually look into this and in worst case scenario skip the rest, thanks for your input.
Swoop's pretty good IMO
Also the titans return one had a (pretty good) Megatron retool.
Indeed that was quite a good figure.
@@PerspectiveEnd lmao! No, I ain’t swapping between my alt accounts. It’s just some people like the big ass hands
10:55 "Fantastic. Now I don't have to rant about why they couldn't have made better figures right from the start"
Hopefully Legacy keeps on the current great trajectory, but this was a NASTY hickup.
In my opinion the only thing keeping me from getting this is the price
The figure looks okay, for a voyager, not a leader. The only reason this is a leader is the triple changing
I think if they didn't FUCK UP the tank mode intentionally I'd recommend it.
I would've waited an eternity for this..
It's over Blitzwing.
Ideally I would transplant the Legacy Blitzwing head onto the TR body with some custom neck adaptor, but looks just a bit too wide to store in the titan master cockpits.
Yeah that's the problem if you did that you'd have to just set it off to the side. But yes that would be an over all improvement.
I picked one up yesterday, examined it this morning. I could have written your script...
You mean you could have been the one who wrote this because it lines up so perfectly, or like anyone could have done what I did?
@@PerspectiveEnd My critiques were nearly verbatim to yours. Your reviews are often like listening to myself think. A+
@@PerspectiveEnd I sometimes wonder if I'm being an over critical asshole, but when you have the same complaints, I feel a bit more justified for the severity of my reviews. But it could just be that we're both assholes, and naturally, think alike. Idk.
As much as I love my toys being accurate to the G1 cartoon I wouldn’t mind some changes if it meant getting rid of that stupid cockpit in the front of the tank
I don't think even the WORST Geewunner out there is excited about the cockpit sticking off the front.
Thank God MechFansToys has that amazing blitzwing. Won't need ol' shlong tank here
Lot of people really seem to like that one huh. I can't believe I'm saying this but the FansToys one looks promising too.
I remember a while ago I asked you to review this figure. You didn't have it yet, but you did review it now. I'm kinda disappointed it isn't good
I'm sorry to be the bearer of bad news, I wanted this to be good, and it could have been if they didn't go out of their way to ruin it.
Finally, a legacy figure that is actually not good.
Yes, you can finally save your money and not feel abd about it.
The ONLY good Thing about the fists is that u can make the joke that he has litteral finger guns
I don't know if that's worth it.
Wow a figure that made a part of earthcee kinda good
It is a dark timeline.
@@PerspectiveEnd unicron is near where’s the matrix
How to make it better
1. Get rid of the cockpit on the tank and make a flap to flip over that area
2. Flip in the boosters on the tank back
3. Try and compress the tank tread kibble into being part of the wings.
4. At least it’s better now
I'd say you don't even need step 2 and on, the first one would be enough, since at that point the figure would stop getting actively RUINED.
I actaully kind of want 2 other heads, so it can be like animated blitzwing, that would have been cool
That would be cool, and I can't believe they never used the Headmasters for the TR to do that.
honestly the first two waves of legacy aren’t interesting to me. although if the rumors are true then i’ll probably get tarn and that’s it.
The figures up until now have actually all been REMARKABLY good.
Not gonna lie, a tank chode isn't something that I was expecting to see here today. xD
I'm sorry I had to scar your mind like that.
@@PerspectiveEnd No worries. xD
I will give it this, it looks good standing next to Astrotrain on the shelf
I'm sure they feel great together.
I own the TR blitzwing and I can say that it's much better when it comes to poseability and vehicle modes
He said Maori someone acknowledged us
Wow? I didn't know that about you.
Why on earth did they give him Hulk Hands? When would those ever be useful in any way?
I think it was probably something they just had laying around.
Some already said this in the Emgo video about this guy, but if they would’ve engineered a way to make the tank kibble rotate so the middle of the tank would be a the back of the jet. This wouldn’t outright make the jet mode spectacular, but it would make it look more aerodynamic and cohesive.
That would be better. Then again almost anything would be better than what they actually did.
The worst part about the tank was with the original diaclone figure, the plane cockpit was on the back and I’m pretty sure the same transformation was with the original g1 toy too
They do look remarkably similar in terms of transformation.
By the time they get to Octane they are just going to give him like a Single monkey from a Barrel of Monkeys and call it a day.
Yeah that's the weirdest thing, it's both Over Board with the G1 accuracy, at the same time it's totally phoned in.
Can't wait for Inferno.
I like how before this I just watched your opinion on him in another video
Yeah it's pretty much unchanged.
I probably would have done that for this review but I didn't want to damage someone else's toy.
@@PerspectiveEnd idk if it would damage it its just letting it lay there kinda u dont have to remove it
I saw a video that really made me dislike the figure.
Dude can you please reformat that so I can read it. I need paragraphs to not lose where I am.
@@PerspectiveEnd okay sorry will do.
The jet mode is SOOOO good.
@@PerspectiveEnd I KNOW RIGHT
and I have the Megatron version so from some angles it just looks like a model fighter jet
Man. UA-cam seems like it really tries to makes it content creators miserable
Yeah, it likes to make nothing easy.
Gewalt with comfortably stay my go to Blitzwing. Having an actual jet mode helps.
For me it's the Tank Mode that needs to be addressed.
I can’t believe the figure from the line with unnecessary head Gimmicks Is the definitive Blitzwing. I mean Megatron. I mean Blitzwing.
Yeah, it's weird isn't it.
Idk I would say this Blitzwing is awesome to have the tr one is good but yeah legacy toyline is definitely the toyline for me
If you wind up getting this thing, I just hope you wind up liking it.
The jet cockpit in the front was a design error from the animation studio: it was supposed to go on the back while the "thrusters" stickers had to go on the front lmao
The g1 box, instructions and even the diaclone version hide the cockpit on the back lmao
Yep, it's being stupid to be accurate to the show, which it's not even accurate to, and shouldn't have been trying to be.
Can't wait to get this figure. Recently got the figures I needed from Wave 1. Now onto Wave 2.
Well, if after you saw me loose my mind on this figure and you still want it, you will probably like it.
I am having a bad day this made me feel better
I'm glad to hear my RAGE gave you some joy.
Hasbro pulse is selling this guy at clearance for 30 bucks right now. I also genuinely dont know what shade of purple this guy is supposed to be because some images seem to give it a lighter purple and others seem to give it a darker purple.
You may like it for that price. I'm still not going to pick it up my self.
So here's my planned purchases in order, incorporating your recommendations:
1. TR Triggerhappy
2. Legacy Cosmos
3. Core Shockwave
4. Core Grimlock
5. Core Ratchet
6. Legacy Bombshell
TR Blitzwing and 86 Grimlock is somewhere between, whenever I can buy them.
I'm happy to have saved you from this figure. The TR one is still excelent.
Was it Gei for Mei?
Yeah that's Gei For Mei.
That second part was conjecture on their behalf.
Hasbro needs to bring back ultra class which was an in-between voyager and leader size class. It was a great way to get big high quality figures for a cheaper price than a leader.
I'd say they need to change the name though, cause ultra sounds like the Best one.
@@PerspectiveEnd with this figure, I will say it’s not great, but like the energon are nothing to fuss over. The tank penis is though.
Your heart be like:
Gimme fuel
Gimme fire
Gimme that which i desire, oough!
Why though?
i bought both figure brand new to compare how did they cost to make per figure and I found out that the the legacy figure 24% less than the titans retun
What do you mean it cost 24% Less?
I think that even though this figure is extremely comprised, if you can see past it it’s a solid figure. And while they are egregious, I still subjectively love it ngl.
If it weren't for the Tank Dick I could see my self recommending it.
@@PerspectiveEnd Yeah, it’s the only video on my channel
Awesome the real Perspective End came back with a vengeance! Anyways great review Perspective End!
He came back just in time for what Truly Deserved the RAGE.
Its a great figure, people just dont like to be happy
I disagree, both altmodes are awful, but the robot mode is quite good.
One year later….those fists do nothing on Menisor, glad I spent money on Blitzwing thinking I needed the parts for the combiner.
And it's a good thing that they don't. Does anyone really want that stupid thing to end up on Menasor?
Oddly enough, the feet are what I would’ve wanted the ER Seeker mold to have, so that the alt mode could be accurate. It’d be equally inaccurate in robot mode, sure, but they wanted to give it heel support, so I think this design liberty would’ve worked better than what they actually went with.
To be fair yeah. I don't know why they made the ER Seekers feet so wrong, this would have been a much better option.
What's funny is that the Titans return figure Parts forms the head when it didn't need to and this probably should have Parts formed the head
That's sad but True. This would be better by being head master.
i'll be real, i don't even like the head, i think it has to be the silver they used, it just seems too reflective, it makes him look like a power rangers helmet
You're kind of right.
Robot mode; unassuming but subtly off
Jet mode: least aerodynamic plane since TR Broadside... no, wait, that's an insult to Broadside
Tank mode: Brings a whole new meaning to "cock"pit
I have to be honest, I think Broadside is still the worst Jetmode ever devised, but this is trying to give it some competition.
I honestly was expecting the jet mode for Blitzwing to be goofy as hell before the leaks, but I was not expecting the tank to have an erection.
How is it that the TR got all three modes right, but the "NEW BETTER" figure only got his robot mode.
I have yet to see another Blitzwing to bother with this bit of accuracy.
Thank god then
What joints do the big hulk hands have
A wrist rotation.
I love the look of this so much better than the TR!
And what do you dislike so much about the TR?
@@PerspectiveEnd
Headmaster
Smaller robot mode wings
Leg enginnering
Headsculpt
Accessories
Prefer nosecone over the flaps on TR
No wings on TR tank
Jet boosters in the back of the tank
Paint instead of stickers
I like the jet mode kibble better on Legacy than TR. Makes it look more like a flying tank
I love this guy. One of my favorites of all since siege.
Well glad you are liking it more than me. If it really appeals to you like that, I hope you never stop enjoying it.
The stickers have arrived and I am enjoying them
Glad to hear it.
Ngl the tank ding dong reminds me of the foot ding dong that masterpiece dinobot had in his beast mode
But instead blitzwings being utterly distracting
Wait what is this about a Dinobot Dingdong?
It would be so good if it was an upgraded TR Blitzwing (ankle tilts, sword wielding wrists, wrist/waist swivel) with the Takara Legends color scheme. And I’d love it if they changed the hands to random guns. Edit: THE HANDS PARTSFORM??!! I thought it was hinged similar to CW Devastator.
Absolutely. That would have been the Perfect solution. He was so close already, just make his tank a little more accurate, and up the quality over all.
If you compare this to jiaxus........ jiaxus have articulated hands but blitzwing no?
I know RIGHT! That's so stupid!
The whole reason for blitzwing having a cockpit in the dead center of his tank mode is the fact that when the diaclone toys where being brought from japan someone who worked on G1 mistransformed the diaclone figure that would become blitzwing cause the original fig had the cockpit at the back of the tank.
Which is the worst Justification possible.
I really really want a blitzwing but all the other ones are to expensive so I might have to get this one for me the tank modes not to to bad
I mean this one's already 50 bucks, how much more expensive can the others be.
@@PerspectiveEnd ya I’ll have to check
Did you know that the tank mode is even wrong in g1. The cockpit is supposed to be facing backwards. It's on the g1 transformation instructions on the box.
Yes for the original toy, though the show did have it wrong the whole time, and this is doing the stupid thing of Emulating the show.
Until you pointed it out, I did realized in the cartoon he had purple on the sides of his head.
Yeah, I didn't used to think of it that way either. But the TR had this gimmick where Spring loaded purple bits pop up along the sides of his head, and I looked into why that was. Learning it was to mimmick that.
how is it that jihaxus got a better jet mode when his is a made up space jet that he rarely turned into? also he is up on amazon right now if you need one
It's definitely less ugly.
