Just a little helpful tip for the hybrid gels: Dip the metal spatula in to the alcohol or slip solution before getting it out to put on the nail. It will slide right onto the nail without sticking to the metal :-)
y from the videos I’ve seen the companies say acetone is ok but if it is a soak off gel DO NOT use it. And the videos she says isopropyl alcohol and she said you don’t need one that is super super concentrated
Me, thoroughly enjoying how lovely Susie’s videos are: “She is the most mellow person on UA-cam, this I exactly what I need!” Susie: *gets new stuff and chucks boxes behind her with full chaotic energy* Me: “and I thought it couldn’t get better”
Susie, Susie, Susie! Oh what have you done to me. 3 weeks ago I was curious about nails.... I haven't had artificial nails in 20 years. I stumbled upon your channel and you have inspired me to "go for it!" I'm checking out nail schools. So very happy to start with a DIY as I'm chomping at the bit to get started. Oh that glitter.... I'm planning my nails already.
I used to not like artificial nails cuz they'd always be so thick and also I discovered that I don't like acrylic, but there have been so many advances in nail art technology, even just in the last few years that anyone can find something that suits them
I've used the Makartt polygel for my last 2 sets, and it performs beautifully. My first set lasted for around 4 weeks, and I've had my current set coming up on 3. Going to attempt my first ever fill this weekend- using Suzi's videos for reference of course 😉 Edit** If you buy this kit, DO flash cure for about 5 seconds. If you accidently use too much alcohol it WILL cause a heat spike. Flash cure, take your hand out, let it cool, then stick it back in for the recommend time.
Omg!!!! I got this kit a week ago because I was so inspired by your videos. I'm NOT a nail tech, but watching your videos made it so easy. Wish I could show you a pic of how they came out. Thank you Susie!!!💕
I too just tried modolone kit. And I was shocked how nice my nails turned out! I hate the smell with acrylic nails and they turned out a mess every time I tried. These gel kits are fabulous! Time to shape and having fun doing your own designs !no more spending 100s of dollars!
This was so incredibly helpful!!! Thank you so much!!! As a “nonprofessional” its hard to tell on amazon what’s a good product and what’s not!! Thank you Suzie you are such an inspiration!!!
Anyone besides me feel like you can just see Christmas morning, Birthday and Mother's day becoming a "Warning: beware of flying boxes!".... we love your over the shoulder box pitching. It should be an Olympic event (how is it not yet?)....lol
I just started nail school and have been feeling COMPLETELY overwhelmed and behind the times with all of the new and evolving nail trends. I've been watching your videos all day and i'm ditching overwhelmed for total excitement and awe! Thanks for explaining everything in detail as to not leave the newbies behind. You rock! I'll be recommending your channel to all my nail school girlies
I ordered my first polygel kit last week and while I did passable for my first attempt I very much appreciate your thorough and helpful videos so my next set of nails will be better. I have severe anxiety which has gotten worse recently and while I love having my nails done, I am too anxious to make appointments at a salon. It’s so nice to have tools to use at home and your kind instructions so I can still feel good with my nails even when it’s a struggle at times ❤️
I bought this system after seeing this video, and it works pretty well! I've never had any training on how to do nails, so I'm a complete novice. I made the mistake of adding the base coat AFTER I added and cured the polygel D: It's much harder to apply that way! I'll be fixing that when I need a fill lol. The product itself is strong enough to last through yard work and my cooking, while still filing and shaping easily! Thank you Suzie for showing this to us!
I have to say, I’ve watched a LOT of your videos... like, the majority and of course I love all of the nails you’ve done but this video really stood out to me with the editing. I wanted to give Cameraman’s work a quick shoutout. He did an EXCELLENT job! Kudos to you!
I absolutely love your video, very clear instructions and straight to business, some other tech’s spend ages on nail prep when most people know that anyway. You have a lovely calming voice for teaching and as a complete beginner with polygel you make me feel confident enough to have a try, thank you for uploading great videos.
I absolutely love stumbling upon your videos. You're just so calming and a pleasure to listen to! It's therapeutic watching you make art and I'm just happy your channel exists :) To anyone reading, have yourself a good week! And if it's not going so well now I hope the storm calm down eventually.
I’m 18 and I love everything about acrylics and just nails and nail art and watching this channel literally going through every video and watching it I’m inspired to go to school for it 😊 thank you for the inspiration
Suzie: cameraman can you give that back to me? Me: HOLY CRAP we are finally going to see him!! *switches to a different camera angle* Me: NOOOOOOOO!!! 😂
Makartt really has the CLEAREST polygel I've been able to find anywhere. None of the other brands come close in clarity, it cures and then it's like glass. Best thing I've ever used for encapsulating.
lexy riot She always says she leaves a little acrylic on her nails to avoid buffing too much into her natural nails. But she should definitely do a video!
I love that you try out non professional products and actually follow the instructions! I've seen so many content creators try products and complain that they don't work, but they didn't even look at the instructions lol
I love the Makartt nail files! They are super sturdy and last a long time. And you can "wash" them (rinse them under water) and they don't get weird or fall apart. I like the 180/240.
Anyway Suzie I'm not a professional and I have watched many different videos to learn. Now I only watch you ....you're the best and your guests are great. It's your simplistic way of explaining how to do very specific techniques that is absolutely amazing. I'm a widow in my sixties and still want to look good by dressing ,dying my hair and doing my nails, you're never too old to look your best is my motto and you help me do that. Also you're a Canadian .....me too
You're a great teacher, you explain things so well and give the right amount of detail. Your videos have definitely helped me do my own nails as a novice
I absolutely love your videos! I’m an armature, and really just like to do my own nails for fun. I have to use either acrylic or builder gel because I have a nail biting problem. Your videos have taught me so much and have given me so much confidence. I really appreciate it because I’m putting my self through graduate school, and I can’t afford to get my nails done professionally. Thank you so much!
Thank you so much for your videos! I have been a nail biter since I was a toddler...30 years now. I always have nail lifting, once they start lifting, I start picking and I can’t stop. We have tons of oriental nail salons where I live and I would have to go weekly to have them fixed because of the lifting + picking. But, I got tired of them getting upset that I messed them up so I’ve started trying to do them at home and it has proved to be an interesting challenge! Your videos are so helpful and saving my poor husband a fortune 😂😂
i could listen to you talk ALL DAY 💕✨ edit: i also have to say that the quality of your videos is amazing. that little tangent on dual forms was so informative and seamlessly edited in.
I am soooo happy I found you once again... you were always mine and my twin daughters to go to vidoes when we were wanting to do nails. We would watch your vidoes every night.... I lost you Nd all out other favorite nail artist when I lost our home everything we owned as well as my daughters.... I now enjoy watching you not only for the beautiful nail designs but memeories... it also helps me see what I need to buy all over again. Thank you for everything you done and do for me
I am so excited you got a chance to work with Makartt hybrid gel. I got their garnet color about 6-8 weeks ago, along with some other brands of black and clear. I was so impressed at how smooth it is and I love the texture. And then I saw a yt video comparing the clarity of various "clear" hybrid gel! WOW. I just did my first set with the Makartt clear. So pretty! I can't wait for some of my glitters to get in! I am waiting for some dots, similar to the ones you used in a recent video. I have only done my own nails 5 or 6 times, but I have had 2 different women ask me to do their nails, after seeing mine. Don't worry! I told them no, that I wasn't even close to ready to work on anyone else.
I just ordered this kit about 2 weeks ago and have had so much fun learning how to do my own nails (and my teenage daughters) come to find out I’m actually pretty good at doing nails! Such a fun new hobby (and money saver)
Omg I was like a second in giving up doing nails until I watched this video and everything clicked and my nails came out not to bad for my first time I love love this look your the best and such an awesome teacher explaining everything in such detail
why is she just the most sweet, precious woman i’ve ever seen do a nail tutorial. every video i’ve watched, its a screaming teen or something and they just don’t really give as much information that would be helpful.
I love cameraman’s mermaid comment. He genuinely seemed to like the look. 💕 I love watching you build a hybrid gel nail, I love soaking in your nuances.
Even down to the efiles, you are so knowledgeable. I graduate from a university this time next year but have always wanted to go to school for nails just to do it on the side. You really inspire me.
The best cameraman EVER, seriously. It's so professional and the effects and editing are amazing. He should get some kind of UA-cam recognition award just for the camera skills.
I've had my manicurist do acrylics in her salon, and many years ago, I did the old acrylics on a form by myself--man, the stink! This looks so painless. Oh, the miracles of modern chemistry. :)
Susie , I really loved seeing you use Makartt products . I like their hybrid gel ( polygel ) a lot . They are also some very nice people too . The nails are so pretty ! ❤️
hi, is makartt a good brand? i was thinking on buying some gels from them, but i'm from Chile so i wan't so make sure that f i'm going to pay a lot on taxes, is a good product
Purchased myself a Makartt efile and poly gel set (based on her reccomendations!) because as a 8 mo pregnant woman during COVID, I want my nails pretty before baby comes!! While I wait for my kit to come, I unconsciously decided I'd watch all of Suzie's videos! I'm a newbie DIY'er, so I appreciate these DIY videos from a pro! So relaxing & i really feel like I'll be able to accomplish beautiflul hands before baby! Thanks Suzie!
exact same scenario... 8 months and bought it all. gave up on the second nail.. the gel set weird.. kinda broke off brittle like. super bummed. she makes it look so easy. good luck!
Thank you Suzie!!!! It's totally what I was looking for. I'm a beginner, and also scared of acrylic. You make everything look easy to accomplish 😉 I purchased the kit right away. I also used the code and Amazon offered $5 off!!!! Thanks again 😊
This channel is fantastic. Video quality is outstanding and your teaching capabilities are amazing. I genuinely feel like im learning something from a friend or my mum or aunt or something when i watch these videos rather than a stranger on the internet! Amazing
I agree!!! I live in Denmark and overhere there's EU and national Parliament elections and all of the media is clogged by austere stuff - it is sooo soothing to watch something that is just lovely and the main goal is to enjoy and simply pretty is the golden standard 😄 #soothing!!! 💕
@Jakob Peter Raahauge-- Surely your elections aren't as much of a sh!t-show as our American elections are? We get almost two years of campaign promises, back-stabbing and shenanigans between when our presidential hopefuls announce their candidacy and when the general election is finally held. Our election cycle has become the Never-Ending Story, only without the lovable dragon, Falcore. Worse, our local federal representatives (Congressional Representatives) are elected on a two-year cycle! They are ALWAYS campaigning. Not only that, they are expected to spend 30 hours a week at a phone bank begging for donations. When are they supposed to get any of their congressional duties accomplished? Most Americans are pretty fed-up with the lot of them!
AwwwSweetieDarling any tips for removing poly gel? I wanna start using it to extend a broken nail or just have as a base to protect my natural nail length.
Kristen Reyes-Marion Same- I know it’s drill off only, but I’d like some tips on how to not drill my natural nails at all during this process, I want to keep them healthy and strong. Also like you, I want to use polygel not only for a broken nail, but to strengthen my natural nails. 😊
I know you say it's a career, but to be honest you can hear and see the passion of when you're doing a nail with a product and the patience and dedication with educating as well. The review was very informative, left no questions to even wonder about at the time of watching this. The camera and music shots with the photography, at least to me is wonderful. You can see his passion as well. I thoroughly enjoyed watching this. There was one thing I did not care for though... it ended hehe. You gained a new fan and thank you for doing these.
I tried that before too... It does help but then I did have a couple of slicing mishaps where the bead of gell just popped off the spatula into my lap followed by a facepalm moment 🤦🏻😂
I want to try the polygel nails, I'm going to watch a few more videos and decide what design before I purchase the Gel though. I absolutely love you... I've seen many of your videos and you are in my top 2 Favorite nail artists. Thank you so much for your videos... they have helped me so much.
I must say, out of all of the ladies I watch do nails, your videos are the most relaxing and informative. Not to mention the video quality is amazing too! Thank you!
i was searching for polygel on amazon the other day and this brand pop up, I'm so glad you did a video reviewing them so now I'm 100% sure that I want to buy it
Very informative and beautiful nails. Pro tip from me. Keep a simple rubber band with your bottles. When one won't open, just wrap the rubber band around the top a few times and then open the bottle. It will open right up. Works for me everytime, no matter how hard the bottle was to open. My OCD really hates the tossing the trash over your shoulder, but to each their own. It doesn't affect your instructions, so I just cringe and get thru that part. Lol. The rest is super helpful! Thank you!
Love that you did this review, I bought everything as soon as I was done watching and I even found another discount code from makartt to add to my savings. You are amazing and cant wait to build up my own nails!!!! Sending tons of love from TN.
Wowwwwwww I've been using my lamp with the blue wrapper thing for a year and it never occurred to me to take it off. Thanks Suzie! You're the best. At least I have a new plate. Without the blue film it looks brand new😁
I’m not a pro nail tech but love watching your videos. What I would like to see in future would be how YOU do your non dominant hand. As someone who does their own nails, as a righty, I can make my left hand look good but NOT the right hand. When I have to use my left hand, my nails often resemble something close to a train wreck!!
lol I hear ya- doing my dominant hand was actually the very first video I did seven years ago. I have done another one since - Search it in UA-cam videos you should find the two of them
Hi Suzie, I watch your videos since the time I didn't do my acrylics I was afraid to try it but you inspired me to do it! Now I am already doing it for 2 years! I love your channel
Because of you I bought this kit....mainly for the glitter.... I was never into bling bling - seems to be the thing now and I thank you for all your tutorials....
Ahhh-MAZING!! You are the best nail tech i’ve seen in youtube. Your voice is clear, it’s very understandable, and your explanations are simple and easy to follow. I’m from the Philippines and sometimes when I watch other nail techs, i tend to not understand some of what they’re saying (words or accents). But YOU are the Top Nail Guru!! You inspire me and I learn so much from you!! And by the way, everytime I watch your tutorials or videos, I tend to be so relax. I love your background music when you teach. And I think your voice is just sooooo calming. Always a fan of yours!! Thank you Suzie!! 😘😘😘
I have a similar kit from Amazon that I have been playing around with! I'm not great at cuticles and shaping yet but I'm getting better each round! I'd love to see your removal process.
I've used that drill and I worked my way up from their finest grit on the arbor band to a carbide bit. I worked with a really really fine grit for quite awhile to get ahold of the whole thing and then I worked my way up into something a little toothier
I literally ordered this last night 😔 if I literally waited one day I could have used the coupon! I am super happy you read the instructions for me I just followed you 😁
Suzie!! 2 years ago I tried gel nails. My lamp wouldn't cure the gel. You just solved my issue!! I'm so happy I didn't throw It out! Oh my! 🤣🤣🤣🤣 2 years!!!
Just a little helpful tip for the hybrid gels: Dip the metal spatula in to the alcohol or slip solution before getting it out to put on the nail. It will slide right onto the nail without sticking to the metal :-)
thx Christy - great advise!
So you can use any rubbing alcohol?
are you using Isopropyl Alcohol(rubbing Alcohol) and is it 70% or 99%?
@@jessiejfan23 Yes & either strength works just fine. I also use the alcohol as my slip solution as well :-)
y from the videos I’ve seen the companies say acetone is ok but if it is a soak off gel DO NOT use it. And the videos she says isopropyl alcohol and she said you don’t need one that is super super concentrated
Me, thoroughly enjoying how lovely Susie’s videos are: “She is the most mellow person on UA-cam, this I exactly what I need!”
Susie: *gets new stuff and chucks boxes behind her with full chaotic energy*
Me: “and I thought it couldn’t get better”
Combined with that relaxing background music. 🎶
I love this chaos
A perfectly soothing blend of calm and chaos. Her videos are always so relaxing I love watching them while I do my nails!
I really enjoyed this review! I love to see you use non professional products. These nails are gorgeous! 💅🏾

Oh me too 😂
Suzi tearing the packaging open and throwing it around with no concern for unboxing value is all of us
I love how she has her own brand but still give other people a chance ❤️
Watching Susie unboxing everything and being excited for the goodies inside IS such a MOOD 😭🤣👏🏼
I've used the Makartt polygel for my last 2 sets, and it performs beautifully. My first set lasted for around 4 weeks, and I've had my current set coming up on 3. Going to attempt my first ever fill this weekend- using Suzi's videos for reference of course 😉

Good luck lmk how it turns out ...ive never used this b4 n want to try it...😘🥂
Why is mine not drying?
Thank you
Suzie throwing directions and boxes behind her to get to the good stuff is such a mood!
You're always so positive and welcoming! It really brightens up the day. I love your designs too.
Oh mommy! I love when Suzie said that as she's applying the glitter. I love the blue glitter myself too!

My nails on first try look fabulous! I had no nails 😆 just numbys . Yes! Still worked on awful chewed nails
You've convinced me that I can do these at home by myself... 🤦🏻♀️ What have you done to me?!! Your nails turned out GORGEOUS!!
Hehe right! I just started watching her and now I ordered a kit and am going to do my sister's and mom's nails for Christmas 😄 I'm pumped but nervous

@@ahri_ae8142 the clear polygel is the clearest polygel EVER
Itsbestforyou Mhm, and the texture of it is awesome.
Congratulations on yr new baby- im sure you cant wait to meet💜
@@NailCareerEducation Aw thank you!!!! I am soo excited to meet baby!
But trying not to "go to the hospital sooner than needed" as I tell everyone.
exact same scenario...
Amazing
I always click your vids when it comes out knowing darn well that ama pause it and rewatch it before I go to sleep. Your vids just sooth me
You are the only person I know who truly appreciates instructions.
Suzie your hands and nail beds are gorgeous! Perfect for nail tutorials. I love watching you work.
I LOVE this nail design. This blue COLOR is just ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS
Can you do a re fill next week to see how long they last
I use this poly gel & the longest they’ve lasted for me was a month & 1 week! Just like acrylic
I use this gel and fill about once a month
AwwwSweetieDarling any tips for removing poly gel? I wanna start using it to extend a broken nail or just have as a base to protect my natural nail length.
Kristen Reyes-Marion Same- I know it’s drill off only, but I’d like some tips on how to not drill my natural nails at all during this process, I want to keep them healthy and strong. Also like you, I want to use polygel not only for a broken nail, but to strengthen my natural nails. 😊
Patricia Gallacher thanks so much for the tip! Very much appreciated 😊
I dip my spatula in the alcohol before getting my bead of gel. It just slides off the spatula easier.
I tried that before too... It does help but then I did have a couple of slicing mishaps where the bead of gell just popped off the spatula into my lap followed by a facepalm moment 🤦🏻😂
Good tip, thanks!
I want to try the polygel nails, I'm going to watch a few more videos and decide what design before I purchase the Gel though. I absolutely love you... I've seen many of your videos and you are in my top 2 Favorite nail artists. Thank you so much for your videos... they have helped me so much.
I love how Suzie just throws everything behind her 🤣 These turned out beautiful!!
I must say, out of all of the ladies I watch do nails, your videos are the most relaxing and informative. Not to mention the video quality is amazing too! Thank you!
i was searching for polygel on amazon the other day and this brand pop up, I'm so glad you did a video reviewing them so now I'm 100% sure that I want to buy it
I just love How suzie is, how she opens bottles, paints the nail, talks.. She should do asmr
Never heard such a soothing and calming voice, loved this video🥰
Very informative and beautiful nails. Pro tip from me. Keep a simple rubber band with your bottles. When one won't open, just wrap the rubber band around the top a few times and then open the bottle. It will open right up. Works for me everytime, no matter how hard the bottle was to open. My OCD really hates the tossing the trash over your shoulder, but to each their own. It doesn't affect your instructions, so I just cringe and get thru that part. Lol. The rest is super helpful! Thank you!
I wish you were in the UK, I would LOVE for you to be my teacher, such a calming energy and so so sweet, love the videos 💕
i love that she just always throws the boxes behind her
Love that you did this review, I bought everything as soon as I was done watching and I even found another discount code from makartt to add to my savings. You are amazing and cant wait to build up my own nails!!!! Sending tons of love from TN.
do share the other Makartt discount code we all want to save those coins.
What's the code
Wowwwwwww I've been using my lamp with the blue wrapper thing for a year and it never occurred to me to take it off. Thanks Suzie! You're the best. At least I have a new plate. Without the blue film it looks brand new😁
I love love love the poly gel kit, you make it look so easy. I’ve watched many of your nail vids you are super pro very impressed
I have done another one since - Search it in UA-cam videos you should find the two of them
I wanted to see cameraman!! 😂😭💕 @3:17
Man I got so excited.. I was like finally... and then it wasn't lol
Just a tease :)
I have never been so excited
I know, right!?! We may have to start a petition!
@@danam8742 so true we are in complete suspense now just please show him already

I want to see a video how to remove this product. Suzie I love the fact you are working with products we can find on Amazon. DIY nails I love 💖💅✨
I love your videos I had my first try using poly gel thanks to your tips!😊 you show every step love it !
I love the polygel!! It helps to keep my natural nails from breaking......such a great invention!!
Makartt is offering a discount on the products in this video at Amazon USA and Canada.
Links and discount codes are in the video description😀
Great but too bad it won't be shipping to France :/
Your video was really great like usual ! Thank you Suzie
You are awesome Suzie
I think I might buy it
I literally ordered this last night 😔 if I literally waited one day I could have used the coupon! I am super happy you read the instructions for me I just followed you 😁
Tried to find it in the Amazon UK store but the glitter version doesn't ship here :/
Suzie!! 2 years ago I tried gel nails. My lamp wouldn't cure the gel. You just solved my issue!! I'm so happy I didn't throw It out! Oh my! 🤣🤣🤣🤣 2 years!!!
I’m not really a fan of the pointy nails usually but these nails are SO pretty! :0
Suzie's videos are the only thing k can actually sit through and not skip through.
me: hasn't had acrylics/gel in 10 years, paints my nails like a 10 year old
also me: *binge watches NCE*
I have something like this, but I haven't used it since I got it last christmas
Same girlfriend, same 😄😄😄
I feel this in my soul.
Same, I am an electrician and never do nails for obvious reasons. But damn these videos are so satisfying
I absolutely adore how savage you are with the boxes!
