I want my car to drive me to the airport and then drive itself home. The paying for parking thing at the airport is nuts. Plus worrying about the car being stolen the entire time I'm gone sucks also. Maybe the car could have a stun gun drone attached somehow that would shock people trying to deface or steal the car. A robocop sort of.

You don’t need to turn off auto speed offset. The way to increase the speed is to step on the accelerator and it will go up and keep the auto speed offset by the amount you stop accelerating.
There are two scenarios you will have when you have auto speed offset: 1. It will give you a max speed number; in this case you can increase/decrease it with the scrolling wheel on the right. 2. It will give you “max” as the speed; in this case, just step on the accelerator to increase the max speed offset.

    • @L33TTechReviewer

I can never get it to decrease or fast enough? My situation of concern is when I'm on a road that goes from 80 to 70 to 60 to 50 about 100m apart. Fsd was going 88 on the 80 and was still going 88 by the 60. Pressing down on the right wheel either did nothing or reduced it by 1 every few seconds..

FSD on the Cybertruck drove me thru San Francisco yesterday with tons of misbehaving pedestrians, double parked vehicles, construction zones, rental scooters/bikes left in poor places, emergency vehicles, narrow spaces due to delivery. vehicles double parked and it was flawless. The one thing that continually comes up is cutting into the adjacent lane when making left turns --- I've seen this on youtube video test as well for the cybertruck, this happens when there is no other vehicle around, but it also cuts close to other vehicles --- it probably gives them adequate room, but it is uncomfortable (mentally) for me

There are a quick three vehicles that you pass and the third, a dark blue Civic, is me! I'm happy for all the CT owners that they're getting FSD sent to them. I'm thinking for smaller roundabouts like that one on Bethany Bend, the vehicle just needs to slow down more so that it can take the circle without hitting the bumps. Thanks for the video as always. All vehicles being autonomous and communicating with each other is certainly the ideal, but it's a LOT easier said than done - the design is not the hard part, but rather the implementation and scale of such a complete and radical change. I don't see it happening in this generation of humans tbh. And by the time they are, computer vision and processing will probably be good enough to recognize pedestrian hand signals too!

    • @basrikartal
      @basrikartal 3 місяці тому

I think before we reach the point where most vehicles are autonomous-a transition that could take several decades-cars will likely develop a sufficient understanding of context and human interactions. The current FSD architecture might evolve by incorporating training methods similar to large language models, using real-world scenarios beyond just vehicle and road footage. I believe that the development of Optimus Bot will facilitate this.

It’s getting better but nowhere near ready for prime time. It stinks at making upturns. And then it still can’t plan. I was driving in the left lane of a 3 lane road going north. Up ahead there was an east/west road with a bridge going over northbound road I was on. So it requires you to get in a turn lane off to the right and the making a left hand turn to go west. At the last minute FSD realized it had to get over and tried to move over but it was way too late. Then it just slowed way down in the middle lane before I took over. Want FSD to succeed but we have a ways to go.

FSD 12.5.4 on my 2021 Model S, going 40 mph, led me over a large rock about the same size as those bumps u show. My front passenger tire immediately “exploded”. Read the fine print, or don’t trust current FSD and take over quickly. Service dept referred me to the fine print when I asked if I had to pay the $1250 for the new tire and the new wheel since FSD failed. So yes, it is on me.

I received FSD 12.5.5 (2024.32.20) on my Cybertruck AWD on October 1 and promptly did a 900 mile road trip. It did very well, but in high speed freeway and highway driving (most of the trip) it VERY frequently and sustainedly rode near, on, or sometimes over the left hand lane lines. Not something it did in the city driving. This occurred whether the were nearby cars/trucks or not, so it wasn’t just scootching over to make room on the right. Could you do a freeway high speed (not congested) test too? It’s embarrassing when it drives on the rumble pits as if drunk.

We don’t have FSD in Thailand (some here call it that anyway 😢) but I do use on the highway occasionally as intended with enhanced AP.
I only use it if I have to scratch my right foot or my wife is not onboard as I can’t stand the terrified screaming.
It is just so dumb and slow I have a a bad opinion. I realize that FSD is a different thing deal but with these mistakes it makes me want to post that regulation should be enacted to require “student driver’ signs illuminated whenever AP is in use.
Our Model Yp want to get out of the fast lane even if it means hitting the brakes, slowing down behind the only other car on the highway. And cruising up behind a car , to slow down, match the speed then turn on the turn signal and the go out to pass. Yes, I don’t have FSD, but the whole thing is leaving a bad taste in my mouth.

where I live the tesla regularly gets speed limits incorrect, including deciding in the middle of freeway interchanges to observe the speed limit of the road *beneath the interchange*, which is significantly lower and causes autopilot to try and slow down to 25mph. It does this outside of autopilot in cruise control, which should not be happening. the feature is called "traffic aware" cruise control, not "speed limit aware" or "route aware" (cruise control also attempts to slow down if the nav shows a turn you need to make, which also should not happen in "traffic aware" cruise control. why is it paying any attention to the route?). Besides the annoying problems of "cruise control", where I only want the car to regulate my speed, I don't see how FSD is supposed to ever work properly if they can't get speed limits interpreted correctly.

Kim Java, Look closely at 7:20…at this moment, the eyes of FSD (always on, all directions) can visualize the flashing yellow tow truck situation ahead. It is likely staying in the left turn lane, left signal as an emergency heuristic move. If you edit this video and change the title….way more clicks, bud. And you know what, it’s an important moment in FSD too. Make an overlay for those flashing yellow lights with an arrow… slow the clip and your voices…. Poignant moment for the whole … FSD is always on and always looking left and right and fwd simultaneously. It’s the driver, the passenger driver, and the backseat driver all at the same time, with super human reaction time.

We won't get anywhere without taking risks and I hope that the government will soon release FSD at level 5. What still needs to be clarified is insurance and liability.

I don’t understand how people are allowed to go over speed limit in US. Is it the speed buffer or legally allowed?

Love the FSD progress. How about Tesla push to get FSD running and approved in a smaller city like Charlotte? The state governments should be allowed to approve FSD if it is 4x to 5x safer than people as this is saving lives and saving suffering also..

they will be able to understand gestures, no problem. just look at the virtuosity in the voice interaction of openAI's 4o. but current techniques will need a lot of exposure to really get it. future techniques wont.

I had a similar experinece yesterday. around 90 miles of highway, city, and freeway driving and it was almost flawless. Two issues came up. It did not slow down fast enough coming into small towns which will lead to a speed trap ticket where I live. There was another situation which is confusing for human drivers, and hard to expalin. There is a mall entrance right before a highway entrance, basically the same lane. If you get into that lane two early, a curb forces you into the mall. It didn't handle the lane right, but it also didn't jump the curb, which human drivers do all the time. Very impressive. I see where RoboTaxi is possible.

with the tesla machine learning just analyzing tons of video, i think with teslas current way of doing things, the ai will also start taking human hand/arm gestures into account. just another clue hidden in the videos, just like any other.

Wireless charging ❤ is not the transition to sustainable energy. Loss is about 30% - so you need 30% more coal plants (USA). But so is also Elon flights, not the transition to sustainable energy. I haven't flown since 2014 - since it is not sustainable. Almost sustainable is still un-sustainable.

I don't want to ruin it for all, but i think the 10th October will be a bad awakening for Tesla enthusiasts and for those having the dream of turning their privat Tesla into a Robo-Car via a simple OTA Uodate as was promised on Autonomy Day 2019.
That dream will burst like a soap bubble!
That Robo-Taxi that is about to be revealed, should it even properly work, will have vastly different hardware to that of current sold Teslas!
They didn't cut the price for FSD massively and suddenly called the whole thing FSD *Supervised* for nothing!
Tesla has no intention of taking over the responsibility for all their customers!
And please stop trivialising Elon Musk.
His recent behaviour and constant posting of baseless ridiculous conspiracy theories on now "X" has put people's lives in danger!
I just can't believe an intelligent man like him falling for the outrageous lies and stupidity of Trump!
    I admired Musk....
