  • In this video I cover 5 things you should look for when purchasing an Air Fryer whether for yourself or as a gift.
    1. Air Fryer market saturation
There are a ton of Air Fryer resellers.
    2. Don't purchase an Air Fryer over $150 unless you know why
    3. Construction or Build Quality
Try to stay away from Air Fryer's made of plastic. It's hard since about 90% of Air Fryer's are made of plastic.
    4. Support
Most Air Fryer's may have a warranty but read the fine print. You may need to cover the shipping cost to return the item. Only the original purchaser may be able to use the warranty. The warranty may start at the time of purchase and if not registered within 30 days of purchase the warranty may be void.
Make sure they have a phone number as some only have an email address.
    5. Size
A 12.7 Qt Air Fryer will struggle cooking a 5lbs chicken on the rotisserie.

Thanks for your videos. Do you have input on gowise airfryer oven vs cuisinart? I want a white, oven style.

Each brand has multiple AirFryer's but the GoWise seems like the other rebranded ones that has a lot of plastic and the Cuisinart looks mostly metal. The Cuisinart looks like it has a heating element at the bottom so you don't have as much space than it looks like and need to be careful not to let anything drip on it. The Cuisinart price is a bit high for my liking but if I had to pick out of these brands I would go with the Cuisinart.

@@smokegrillfryeat1673 thanks for replying. So, on your chefmate oven style you tasted plastic in your food after many uses? A lot of them have plastic on outside but metal inside. Thank you.

@@imliz100 The Chefwave AirFryer I have has a metal lining on the inside so I didn't taste the plastic. It did have a slight plastic smell when cooking but wasn't near as bad as the Power Air Fryer Oven that I have. I wouldn't suggest the Chefwave though since it has uneven temperatures inside. The model is sold from different brands too such as GoWise and Todd English. I saw another one but can't recall the name.
You are right that most the air fryers have plastic on the outside. Having it on the outside should be ok but since you can't see the inside on most of these air fryers it's hard to say how separated the oven compartment is from the plastic.
