    Nina and I spoke about masculinity, Andrew Tate, pick up artistry, and why there seems to be such an appetite for masculinity influencers in the internet age. We spoke about the way in which gender has been made into a consumer item, and why straight women seem to be so interested in reading romantic fiction about gay men. We spoke about the nature of suffering, transhumanism, and why the war on suffering and human nature will never be won. Enjoy!

Today, most people are too wrapped up in their product to make sure someone would stick around for their whole sales pitch. It's why memes are so popular. It takes about a second to plant the seeds of curiosity for a good idea, or the seed of doubt for a bad one. The worst of all sales pitches is, "If you disagree with me, you're a (insert dismissive condescending epithet here), and I hope someday (insert horrible outcome here)."

    I'm a white man almost 92, and watching, listening I realize that so much has changed in the freedom females have and the angst males have developed (see Andrew), that unless you've lived through it all from the conditioning a child raisedd in the 1930's 'til now, it is impossible tor you youngers to fully grasp the fear and despondency so many in my generation are apt to feel for the future. Neither generation can understand the other, but that said, I' m optimistic for you. Women provide men one of the ultimate social proofs in relation to other men and to me Tate represents a confluence of the two perennial strands of attractive & conquest masculinity in terms of women.
    Womens' choices of the men they are choosing & rejecting are rapidly reshaping human populations, intensified by their active reproductive choices & boundary destruction campaigns (borders most pertinently) & I don't see how its not building huge incentives & pressures towards a new male sexual savagery & genuine rape culture (just look at the conviction rate now).
    As a married father of 4 daughters it is maddening that it is predominantly females that are hobbling all my efforts to give them security & happiness, often through intra-sexual propagandising.
    There are diminishing incentives for average good men to remain so & there will shortly be a massive supply drop off as production has all but stopped.

    • @Drescota
      @Drescota Рік тому +6

      That last part is particularly ignored: that sans the most valuable social reward for virtue--the ability to form a family and propagate into and become a last part of the community at large--men will adopt the most expedient means of achieving this end (if not being a part of the community, then at least crude biological success) since that which is not censured is tacitly allowed. This is not even mention that virtue and probity are now being increasing seen as an impediment to successful mating compared with what you've stated as "sexual savagery" being demonstrated. I mean, why be a reserved, altruistic, and contemplative male who seeks distinction through social service and being a model to the community? Why be an Atticus Finch and when you can be an Andrew Tate?

    It has seemed for some time that there had been a rising awareness of toxicity arising from the internet disproportionately impacting young women though social media (e.g. the excellent work by Jonathan Haidt). It is good to see here a discussion where it is recognised that there is also a disproportionate effect on young men through the proliferation of poor role models. As a dad of a twenty year old boy it is a constant source of concern, and while perhaps less likely to lead directly to mental I'll health as the effects on girls, it may also perhaps be no less bad for society.

    • @HarryBuxley
      @HarryBuxley 8 місяців тому +1

      Would upvote this more than once if I could. The sad fact is its almost a marketing ploy, its much easier to garner sympathy for young girls rather than young boys, such is the amount of demonizing that has happened over the last 30? 40? + years, and also the innate desire to protect women and girls more than men which goes back much further obviously. You see this absolutely everywhere. Nina Power and others are refreshing on this point.

    I found the discussion on why so may young women in particular are pro-trans compared to men and also older women. I have thought for a while that this is rooted in an anxiety among many adolescent girls about stereotypical masculinity. The popularity of boy bands for example whose members display a very feminised view of masculinity, seems to me to present a pathway for girls to make the transition from the platonic love embedded in their same sex relationships towards hetero sexual desire. I suspect that the pro-trans young women have a fantasy that trans-women tend to look like Blair White and embody a fantasy femininity, that by definition cannot be dangerous or threatening. There are other factors that believe are at play, but I am sleepy and have an early start tomorrow, so i will leave it there.

      It’s an incredibly vulnerable time. Even breastfeeding in parents rooms… when a dad walks in to change one of his children, I immediately check myself, and look around to make sure he has a child with him and is not in there without a good reason.

There are a handful of EXTREMELY wise sages currently on this planet who can logically and completely answer practically any question that an intelligent soul is likely to ask regarding morals and ethics.
      The fact that Jordan supports men buggering each other (by which I mean, that he supports homosexuality and other criminal activities, such as the unnecessary consumption of poor innocent animals) is MORE than sufficient proof that he is not as religious as he claims, and that any decent, holy person ought to shun his inane teachings and flee into the loving arms of a teacher of Truth.
      Furthermore, in a recent interview in Benjamin Shapiro's UA-cam channel, he admitted that his wife figuratively (and I'm sure also LITERALLY) wears the pants in his household. 👖

    I think it might be helpful to take things one step further than noting the absence of male role models and look at the reason why that is. One clue would be to look at what happens to people, both men and women, who speak up for men. They are attacked. And Louise very clearly cites the notion that men should see themselves as part of a class, as feminism does. The problem comes when the whole class is defined by the worst behaviour of members of that class, i.e. one spoils it for all the rest. This then alienated and demises people in that class even if they have not behaved badly. It's currently popular to demand men sort each other out, call each other out etc. But men have no control over all other men, and all men know that some men will always behave badly. So we have been set an impossible task and that is indeed demoralizing. It's very telling that the first individual man discussed is Andrew Tate as this is symptomatic of the mode of analysis of the male condition since the concept of patriarchy popularized: judge the whole by the exception. Once demoralized by being shoved into a fame it is impossible to succeed at, i.e. make all men good in feminist eyes, men withdraw, even from life itself.
    This is further illustrated when Nina discusses deaths of despair, but instead of examining the reasons for the despair, Louise observes that men are better at suicide because we are more aggressive and thus use more effective means, The despair question flies by her unnoticed. In an age of feminism and a feminist press where it has become impossible to a) a good man because there's no such thing, and b) a good role model for the same reason because any attempt to do so in countered with the very powerful argument of the tragic consequences of the worst o male behaviour, then only the very tough and resilient will continue to be heard, e.g. Jordan Peterson and Andrew Tate. In fact, Jordan Peterson predicted the rise of Andrew Tate before either were famous in a lecture on anti-social behavior where he posited that if society continues to be hell-bent on repressing normal healthy masculinity, it would inevitably give rise to pathological extremes.
    I simply do not believe it is possible to provide a comprehensive analysis of the issues let alone a remedy without acknowledging the detrimental consequences of class-level analysis and it's prescription is general and those of feminism in particular. When one starts from the position that one class is systematically oppressing another class it renders it impossible for any individual within the oppressor class to been seen as decent, let alone the majority of members of that class.
    When feminism seeks the liberation of women, one needs to ask 'liberation from what'. The answer would appear to be men. So where does that leave the men? Alone.
    Solutions can only be found, then, not with more class-level analysis, but less. Instead of emphasizing, for example, 220 women a year are killed by men, it might be more helpful to point out only 1 in 100, 000 men kills a woman. The current paradigm equates to every man in a Wembley stadium packed with only men being held responsible for the behaviour of one - when they don't even know which one he is until after the event. And instead of attacking women who speak up for men, try listening to them, then they wouldn't need to get so loud and extreme just to be heard.
    A feminist agenda will never help men because it relies on the demonisaation of men for its weaponisation of victimhood, it's most powerful weapon,and it's designed to help women, not men. There's a clue n the name. So, please, Louise, examine your 'feminist priors' for the damage they do to men and then ditch them, because they are lethal to good men.

    • @HarryBuxley
      @HarryBuxley 8 місяців тому +4

      Some very good points, thank you. I often notice that the articulate women who do speak up on behalf of men or against the "men and women are the same" dogma, still to a certain extent retain this lens of; "we should care about the struggles of men but also don't forget feminism" and it grates on me a bit for reasons that I don't quite understand. IMO part of it least is an effort to remain moderate, accessible and not veer into full-on fringe commentator status, so I generally give them a pass.
      And yes, andrew tate was very predictable. And I suspect there will be quite a few more similar characters before we are done, and absolutely a big a part of it as JP pointed out ( I never saw that particular lecture ) is the repression of healthy male masculinity, along with a large dollop of ignoring how young women select partners and a lot of lying about both those two things.

Speak your phenomenological trauma, for example, as a good source of truth , but let's not over totalize! Society's pandering to women has not let up with the rate society has sort of included women to public decisions. Own your privilege can be a decent mantra whoever it's all about intersectionality for me , not for thee. Or reflexive global perspective for thee ... But not for me!
      A lot of similar pattern in sex and gender as with general power dynamics in social organization in general... Perhaps feminists could hone in on personal responsibility's but also men in general might look at social organization and being inclusive and not putting up with power dynamics as they are... Feminism has proffered some good points about power dynamics in general if even to only point at men. We might apply the language as containers rather than specifically the contents in the containers.... So white men would prolly be more global and inclusive and accurate to be a certain type and personality, role maybe and specific and even particular examples where we get a case study of the whole relationship not just psychological analysis on the oppressor. Basically that's what's happening enmasse - psycho-analysis on men in isolation removing all the relationships and other factors! Hardly rational , or objective 😮

    🐟 25. THE ROLE OF FEMALES:
    Women are fortunate because they are BORN with a job:
    Daughter.
    Wife.
    Mother.
    Females normally have no role in public life. Exceptions to this rule are relatively rare. For instance, women may work in the arts (singers, actors, and dancers, which often demand female players), or as maids or nurses, both of which are feminine duties, providing it has no detrimental effect on their PRIMARY function, as daughters, wives, and mothers.
    So, a female’s fundamental role is to serve her MASTERS (any man in her family circle), even from a relatively young age, by performing domestic duties and raising her children. Barren women (heterosexual or otherwise) are extremely unfortunate, but can still devote their lives to serving their husband, father, grandfather, uncles, or in the event that none of those men are extant, adult male cousins.
    Studies have shown that the more a woman deviates from this innate societal function, the less she is fulfilled. The phrase, “Cat Lady”, says it all.
    As a general rule, women should be protected in the home, and never wander-out alone. They should FULLY cover their bodies in the presence of post-pubescent males outside the family circle. Even the prostitutes in some nations wear veils in public, even if out of fear of reprisal.
    Having lived the eremitic life of a monastic priest for a few decades, I can attest to the importance of keeping one’s home clean and tidy. It is obvious to me that housekeeping is very much a full-time occupation, and that if I were to neglect my domestic chores, my health and comfort would greatly diminish. As would be expected of a person in my position, I follow a strict diet and am obsessive in regards to hygiene. Without a spouse, the onus is on me to maintain my residence in a prim and proper manner, even though it results in me spending less time teaching religion as a member of the Holy Priesthood (The World Teacher, in my particular case). Therefore, the role of a housewife is of PARAMOUNT importance, and must never be discounted by anybody, particularly feminist ideologues. The following chapter deals with feminism.
    The ONLY reason I have resided alone for most of my adult life is due to the fact that there is a severe scarcity of decent women in my country, and indeed the entire world, what to speak of holy and righteous women. Unfortunately, few women, particularly in the more affluent nations, any longer receive adequate training in the connubial arts. In my former marriages, I was forced to perform most household chores.
    In recent centuries, due to various factors (FEMINISM, in particular), women have become so degraded, that is it practically impossible to find an example of an ideal woman. Therefore, in order to reference examples of such a woman, one is forced to refer to figures from ancient myths.
    Mariam, the mother of Lord Jesus Christ, and Devī Sītārānī, the wife of Śri Rāja Rāma, King of Ayodhya, are the epitome of womanhood, and ought to be the role models for each and every girl born on this planet. That is assuming, of course, that those two women were, in actual fact, the gentle, refined, humble and submissive goddesses they were portrayed to be in the archaic scriptures.
    Obviously, this teaching receives an ENORMOUS amount of scorn, contempt and derision from a certain proportion of women (and also many "men"), but that is perfectly fine, because, such foolish feminists are destined to die lonely and alone, with no family surrounding them, and hopefully not transfer their adulterated genes to forthcoming generations.
    In some locations in the world, STRAY COWS freely wander the urban streets, displaying their teats.
    Similarly, in most locations, women wander the dangerous streets alone or in groups, displaying their bosoms and other bodily parts.
    Such loose women are no better than STRAY COWS.

      sex:
      the state of being either male or female in most species of metazoans. In humans, each cell nucleus contains 23 pairs of chromosomes, a total of 46 chromosomes. The first 22 pairs are called autosomes. Autosomes are homologous chromosomes, that is, chromosomes that contain the same genes (regions of DNA) in the same order along their chromosomal arms. The 23rd pair of chromosomes are called allosomes (sex chromosomes). These consist of two X chromosomes in most all females, and an X chromosome and a Y chromosome in most all males. Females, therefore, have 23 homologous chromosome pairs, while males have 22. The X and Y chromosomes have small regions of homology called pseudoautosomal regions. The X chromosome is always present as the 23rd chromosome in the ovum, while either an X or Y chromosome may be present in an individual spermatozoon cell gamete.
      An extremely minute percentage of humans are either (anatomical) hermaphrodites or of indeterminate sex (or to be more accurate, disordered sex). That does not negate the incontrovertible FACT that there are but two sexes/genders. In order for reproduction to take place, there is the requirement of a female ovum and a male sperm to unite, and because the entire purpose of the gender/sex division of most species of animals is to enable procreation, the sexual identity of an individual is best classified according to the gametes produced by the individual in question. There is no third gamete. Cf. “gender”. Both terms (“gender” and “sex”) originate from Latin words: “genus” (meaning “begin”; “birth”; “kind”; “race”; “gender”) and “sexus” (meaning “sex”; “division”; “gender”).
      If the reader is curious to know the reason for this term being included in the glossary of “F.I.S.H” (apart from the fact that it is actually used in a handful of chapters), it is because, in recent times, LEFTISTS have been desperately trying to change the meaning of the words “sex” and “gender”, in order to serve their immensely-perverse agenda to destroy civil society with their hateful, wicked, immoral ideologies, especially by promoting the nonsensical idea that a person is able to transition from one gender to the other.
      gender:
      the status of being either male or female, and because the entire purpose of the gender/sex division in most species of animal life is to facilitate procreation, the sexual identity of an individual is best classified according to the gametes produced by the person in question. There is no extant third gamete. An extremely minute percentage of humans are either “intersex” (typically referring to those who are anatomical hermaphrodites) or of indeterminate gender (that is, not easily determined by a cursory inspection of the external genitalia), but that does not negate the incontrovertible scientific fact that there are only two genders. As far as we know, there has never existed a single human being with the ability to BOTH conceive a child in his/her womb and, simultaneously, successfully inseminate a woman (or in more disturbing terms, for a hermaphrodite to inseminate him/herself). And even if such an individual has existed, that person would be a combination of BOTH male and female, and not some imaginary, novel third gender.
      Cf. “sex”. Both terms (“gender” and “sex”) originate from Latin words: “genus” (meaning “begin”; “birth”; “kind”; “race”; “gender”) and “sexus” (meaning “sex”; “division”; “gender”).
      So, essentially, the only significant distinction between the two terms is that the etymology of “gender” pertains to the beginning of things, as can be plainly seen by the other English words that originate from "genus", such as “generic”, “genetic”, and “generate”, whilst “sex” is a scrupulously-literal translation of the Latin cognate “sexus”.
      The mere fact that the word “genitals” (referring to reproductive organs) is very closely related to the Latin “genus” is further evidence of the assertion that the term “gender” refers to the binary division of human (and of course, many non-human) sexual identity, and NOT to any taxonomy based on emotion, feelings, psychology, or any other non-biological categorization schema.
      If the reader is curious to know why this term is included in the glossary of “F.I.S.H” (apart from the fact that it is actually used in a handful of chapters), it is because leftists have been desperately trying to change the meaning of the word in recent times, in order to serve their immensely-perverse agenda to destroy civil society with their hateful, wicked, sinful, objectively-immoral ideologies.
      Until relatively recently, the word “gender” has ALWAYS been used in the etymologically-accurate sense of the term, and even in the former case, predominantly where leftist ideologues comprise a significant proportion of the population. See also “leftism”.
