This looks awesome. My own person recipe uses whole pineapple chunks, nearly frozen. It helps cool it down, gives it that thickness, while also helping it not risk becoming watery as it cools. The pulp really helps the thickness aspect of it. Great recipe none the less
Please try this version, it tops anything I’ve ever tasted, and I’ve tried a lot It’s enough for 2 people 2 double shots of Malibu 4 double fresh pineapple juice 1 shot of monin coconut syrup 1 shot of monin pina colada syrup About 8 large ice cubes Then the secret ingredient, Rum Chata. 2 double shots Blend in blender I will be giving this a go though 👍
This looks great. Because you use more pineapple juice and a darker rum, this cocktail is a compromise between a Pina Colada and a Painkiller. I really like the addition of a bit of lime juice and salt. I think that limejuice is probably not necessary when the pineapple juice is fresh or it should be only a dash/ 5ml at most. I intend to test this myself soon. (Yes, the Painkiller tm is with Prosser's rum but most of us use any dark-aged rum we particularly like when we make it for ourselves)
The Piña Colada - undoubtedly my favourite cocktail! Thanks for such an awesome video on it. How would you adjust this if you were using a homemade Coco Lopez alternative, made from 400ml coconut milk and 375g sugar?
The best Pina colada I ever had was off a channel called mama Lori’s. Kitchen, I added Makers Mark instead of rum, it was absolutely incredible!!! I like your take on this drink, I’ll give it a try.
you add salt to make the flavour more complex. try to add 50ml of green tea and throw in 1 slice of frozen blended canned pineapple. this does the same and adds some kind of umami to the body. you did not really taste it between the fruits. it blends really well. pina colada was my evening drink of choice for quite some time. so i drank quite a few and tweaked the classic recipe. greetings from germany.
That's fair, you can make a big batch easily enough though if you wanted to make a few at a time. We did that after shooting the video and had a strange moment drinking Pina Colada's in a freezing cold barn in the middle of winter. A memorable but slightly jarring experience 😂
Because it isn’t from Cyprus, it’s from Puerto Rico. Go to the Caribbean or the Florida Keys and you’ll be served many high quality rum cocktails such as this from people who know how to do it and don’t care if you speak English. If you still find that tacky, then you’re probably just pretentious.

Ooh, I love it! I have a recipe with frozen pineapple chunks on the way actually, it works so well!
Your seriousness to the approach of making a good drink sold me. I’ll be trying this exactly as prescribed, and I shall report back.
I hope you enjoy it!
How did it go?
People always sell me with their 'i'll report back' ... but they never do! 😢
The best Pina Colada I have had was a shaken one from Junglebird in Puerto Rico. Definitely will need to try this.
I can’t imagine many places better to drink a Pina Colada, that sounds immense!
Anybody ever try frozen coconut water chunks instead of regular ice?
your face at the end said it all
😍😍
Tried this tonight and it turned out so delicious! That hint of salt and lime just take it to a new level!!
Amazing to hear, I’m so glad you enjoyed it!

That sounds tasty!
This sounds horrible, no monin please!
@@leoknut8901Don’t knock it until you try it
Xanthan Gum will keep it from separating
Truly devine 👏 🍹
It's also that pool bars don't always use the best ingredients

I hope you like this one!
Bring on summer 2025 nz, this is the one we’ll be making

Thanks so much! I haven’t actually tested this but will try to as soon as possible!
I want a double triple pina colada!
But it’s all just darkness whenever I close my eyes. Lmao 🤣 thanks for this!! Gonna make it tonight 🫶🏻
I hope it transported you to a deckchair in the sunshine!

I’ll have to give it a try!
What about no lime juice and adjusting the pineapple juice to lime?
I prefer mine with just a tad more ice

I missed it at first too-he doesn’t say it but it’s on the screen: 10 grams
Ďalšie video z ktorého neviem nič. Načo mi to podsúvate?
Everything except the recipe in the notes. Buy too many recipes to deal with this oversight
Screen shot at 05:01 🙂 you can save all the recipes in the course into an album and have 40 recipes to draw from whenever you fancy.
Yapper
You need xantham gum.
Looks delicious but not practical in an actual bar service

You didn't chill the glass.
Conjures for me, tacky drink, in tacky bars in Cyprus, that attract English tourists best avoided. 😊
Im chinese but call me tacky British tourist if thats what liking pina coladas makes me :)
