Thanks for the love! You're going to have to get over the flying thing. Here in the islands they make fresh coconut cream (slap yo' mama good) that would kick that painkiller up one more notch! Plus, we're down to our last bottle of bourbon, almost out of gin and totally out of luxardo cherries...so we could use a visit from the good ol' USA. Meet you in Tonga?
Looking for a good painkiller rum recommendation and reddit sent me back to the episode and now I need to know if this ever happened? Is Greg still hoping to get a boat? Did the Wynns get more luxardo cherries?! (BTW if you haven't tried Fabbri Amarena cherries you absolutely should)

This made me desperately crave coconut cream and pineapple juice frothed together, so I went and bought both and made use of my blender. I wasn't really in the mood to drink though, so it remained a virgin frothy, slushy pina colada type drink.
Solid recipe, used the same rum, fresh squeezed orange juice from a historic grove in California where the first navel orange tree still stands and canned pineapple juice from Trader Joe’s (it’s really good). Thanks for the video!

Pretty sure if you use Coconut Creme it'd be better, but I work at a dive bar so we don't get that fancy. Pour into a chilled coup glass (or don't. I don't judge that much) and carefully layer your watered down Curacao mix over the back of a bar spoon. Then watch as it slowly filters down anyway, say "screw it," and drink it anyway.

Now that we've seen the Painkiller, how would a "Max Paynekiller" go, substituting the rum for a whisky and adapting it around that? Thought it might be an interesting take, since the last we see of Max is him relaxing at a bar on a beach in Bahia, and his signature drink is a fictional whisky.

Someone mentioned a lovecraftian drink. I suggested a dark & stormy with a twist of something toxic and tasty. What's your solution? Edit: i subscribed. You rock.
@@kster809 I would want something with dark rum, squid ink and/or Absinthe. What is more lovecraftian than a pitch black salty sea-tasting squid drink, and what is more lovecraftian than a mysterious deep green herbal drink that allegedly makes you see strange creatures and cut off your own body parts? :P (Disclaimer: no shade to Absinthe, the Absinthe scare was a mix of fabrication and alcohol poisoning and not the wormwood itself, and Van Gogh didn't cut off his whole ear. But still)
I think y'all got the math wrong on that metric conversion. If the drink is supposed to be 1oz oj, 1oz cream of coconut, 4 oz of pineapple juice and 2oz of rum, then the conversion should be 30ml oj and coconut, 60ml rum and *120* ml pineapple on account of 120 being twice 60. Just found this channel. I subscribed for two reasons. One, the host is really likable. Two those slow motion pours nearly gave me a pourgasm.
I'm not a fan of coconut or pineapple or rum, but Greg's flavour notes for this one were nothing short of passionate art.
So I guess you're sort of left with orange juice... and nutmeg of course.

You may be the other half of my brain...
This was the first shaken drink that I've ever made. I love it. Thanks for making it for me.
Whoever is in charge of the subtitles is killing it and me haha
Just made your Painkiller recipe with Appleton Estate Rum. Dangerously easy drinking drink. My husband loved it that he has his own tasting notes.
Great idea!
Something tells me Max might also be a wild turkey guy.
Adding an ounce or two of Malahat Spirits spiced rum really makes this drink magical!!!
Was wondering if you could make a drink after my all time favorite TV show M.A.S.H
My new favorite summer drink.
This looks like a perfect ‘medicinal tonic’
One of my new favorite drink episode of HTD.
“Emotionally available cocktail” 😂❤️🍹
Just made this for the first time ever and OMG! It is perhaps the best thing I've ever drank! I am in love! Love your channel! Watching you make cocktails soothes me at the end of a long day!
I literally ran out and got everything I need for painkillers last night. I’m amateur bartending a party next weekend and I was looking for a good summertime signature cocktail
This won’t miss
I just found your channel! I love the Wynns! I’ve been following them since 2013…. Maybe 2012. Any who they are so great! I’m sure they would love to make drinks with you!!! So happy to find this channel. Peace!
Holy crap, 20 episodes in one day? That's madness!
I saw this video just as spring was turning to summer, its been the best treat. Looking forward to trying something else from your videos soon
Someone mentioned a lovecraftian drink. I suggested a dark & stormy with a twist of something toxic and tasty.
What's your solution?
Edit: i subscribed. You rock.
Dark and stormy with a float of a bitter herbal liqueur? Kinda like a Harvey Wallbanger
(Disclaimer: no shade to Absinthe, the Absinthe scare was a mix of fabrication and alcohol poisoning and not the wormwood itself, and Van Gogh didn't cut off his whole ear. But still)
The taste should be indescribable
@@kster809 Dark and Stormy with a Cynar float. Tasty, but just weird enough to keep you confused with each sip.
@@BrianHCohen At first I thought you said "cyanide" float, and I mean, you wouldn't be WRONG...
"Idk why but here it comes" 11:13
Gotta love his honesty, the show really comes from his heart
I think y'all got the math wrong on that metric conversion. If the drink is supposed to be 1oz oj, 1oz cream of coconut, 4 oz of pineapple juice and 2oz of rum, then the conversion should be 30ml oj and coconut, 60ml rum and *120* ml pineapple on account of 120 being twice 60.
That, or every metric user who ever went to the Soggy Dollar fuckin' LOVES pineapple juice.
Brings back some memories. Haven't thought of that drink in years. There's a bar in Grand Bahama Island that makes 3 levels of a PainKiller cocktail.
How about some beer cocktails? Found a good recipe book of beer cocktails at the local dollar tree.
Ahh. Of course. The Dollar Tree Literary Club!
I just made this drink for the first time today. Couldn't find any Plantation 5 year so used Bacardi Gold instead, fantastic all around, thanks for showing this one off!
A Meeting With Greg’s Gastroenterologist and Liver Talk | How To Drink
Wow, Greg! Your pouring skills are getting so much better!
I'm desperetly in love with coconut cream. You could put that on anything, and I'd eat it.
i had a headache today and i was watching this video, and i was like i need some of these. Just became my top 5 drinks the plantation is a great choice 5 stars man.
New video? Insta-like! Love you and your videos Greg!
Tried it tonight it is now one of my favorites so glad I tried it.
