Mmm, you can live comfortably for an afford price but living like a “king” won’t come at an extreme discount, Colombia is cheap but it’s still within the real of reality, especially when it comes to luxuries and/or imports.

Bogotá is a little expensive, same with Medellin and definitely Cartagena but it really depends what your looking for and what type of location you’re comfortable witg

You should do more of these in different areas of Bogota. Places that are furnished or semi-furnished. I think being from the US, one can stay only 6 months a year? It would be great to see places that do month-by-month or 3 months at a time. Places with keys would be nice. 😄

Air head. You wine too much. The apt is ok. Just need lights. The door lock installed is not optimal but used to prevent opening the door from the outside without if glass in broken. Should have ensured you could open the door before closing it. But true a safety hazard.

I'm a landlord have 5 apartments in Colombia Barranquilla , Bucaramanga, Floridablanca better than this one, with 3bedrooms and 2bath and they al rent under US$200.00 all have stoves, some of them have a small balcony all have a dorman. If you shop around and have good credit you can find beautiful deals in the range of US$200 -300. Regards...
Rent for a 1 bedroom. Here in Washingtion state you'll need about 2,000.00 a month The Cost of living here is so High I need a Home of my own again to get Fresh start

There's crystal on the door... theoretically it could be broken by an intruder who then would just open the door from the other side. On doors like that or when they're close to crystal windows you want to have a double key door knob.

That latch is very strange but most I’ve seen you can usually slip a credit card into the crack of the door (from inside the apartment) and you just force the card towards you and this will disengage the latch

In New York we call it a closet
That entire place is a storage unit and was never originally intended to be an apartment. Whoever owns the building or just that individual place is trying to convert it into a liveable apartment. It's obvious by the fully exposed kitchen plumbing and no oven that it wasn't originally intended to be an apartment. So, no I wouldn't live there even if the rent was $50usd a month. Get out of there please... 🙄😂😱
Yea, but it makes an excellent & fairly secure art, photography, music/vlog studio, laundromat, etc. Due to the frequency of scopolamine induced "date robberies" that occur down there, it's not advisable to bring strange women into your place of residence, which makes this apartment a perfect little "smash cabin". All it would need is a nice cal-king bed, mini fridge, hot plate, & toilet paper - that's it. Pay $400-$600 to live somewhere else in a nicer, furnished spot with reliable electricity & wifi, where one can maintain maximum security/privacy. Very doable. Safety first

Can they change the locks 🔒 on door but bars on windows can dangerous if had fire but safe at night ...if get good plan to escape if there was a fire .. I think is ok place ... or just move a safe neighborhood

“Safe” neighbourhoods usually aren’t much different in terms of home security, the generally look pretty well the same in that sense

I think because I am a minimalist and have no desire to accumulate things (so I can travel around the planet) I really liked the place you went to. I could find cheap furniture and a good small bed I am used to sleeping on the floor then get an air fryer and a crock pot for cooking and when It is time for me to go I donate all of the stuff to a local woman's shelter Love your channel keep cranking out the content and ditch Who ever that is helping you he is trying to ride your coat tails. (no offense to the coat tail rider ,but come on man let Mahia make her own mistakes)
Jeffery, Yes you might be a minimalist, but I think you are more of a "realist" Place seems to be quiet... Just get an fryer, crock pot and an electric grill. Has everything that many older Colombian apartments have. As you say its not bad. The lighting was bad because all of the light bulbs are missing (easy fix, add bulbs and lamps) The reason the door locks from the inside is because there is a glass panel next to the door lock, if someone breaks the glass they will not be able to unlock the door without the key, that is very common on security doors here in the US .(sometimes the ley is hidden on the ledge above the door or on a hook near the door. I would offer them a little less money and perhaps pre-pay as a compromise. I would have an emergency escape rope at tucked away near each window. By the way, the coattail guy did not seem to have any solutions or strategy on how to correct the situation he created. You would expect a man to take the lead and solve the problem. He made the poor girl suffer through anxiety trying to figure her way out. He is just along for the ride. Was he just playing on his phone while the girl was " problem solving? She needed to pee? There was a toilet .. I would have gave my mask, shirt or some other piece of clothing so she would have a way to take care of her bathroom maintenance, You can get a new mask at any street vendor... Made a woman hold her pee in a stressful situation... Bad look.
would have 2 rooms and bathroom for 150 dollars on a finca in cali. new house. Everything available just has to buy a bed.With a beautiful garden/
park and lots of animals. If you don't expect women to visit regularly, the better solution. Disadvantage you would have to share the house with the owner.😅
@@ericlee2931 yes I am very much a realist, I feel that sometimes the younger men do not know how to treat a beautiful lady such as Mahia. The solution is for her to just do her own thing and listen to people who have her best interests in mind like her family or her best friends and sisters. I could make that apartment my home and enjoy the real life of people in Bogota even teach the young lady Mahia some things about life and how to become a true digital nomad. soon she could be traveling the planet as I do living her life as she pleases.

The doors locked from outside the apartment?
There’s no knob on either side, usually there’s a lever on the inside but you essentially always need a key for the outside, it’s not that’s it’s “locked” necessarily, there’s just no other way to release the door
How much would utilities be for 3 bedroom apartment?
I have a video of utilities, my place have 3 rooms and I pay around $100 including internet, in this apartment they are included (no internet)
