Have you considered "What We Do in the Shadows?" It's hilarious and has Matt Berry as one of the main characters.
Baaatt!! 🤣
Neew Yoork Citaaaaaaaay!
This is just how we talk in Tuscon, Arizoña
Yes, please watch What We Do in the Shadows 😁
I 💯 concur with you guys .. what makes it isn’t just Matt Berry though he’s fantastic in it “ Jackie Daytonaaaaa “ 😅.. it’s the ensemble , they fit like a glove and you end up caring and laughing at the high jinks of Vampires in the New World .. love the show ! 👏
👍🏴
"Black Books" is a must! Another brilliant show by Graham Linehan.
God that show is perfect, one of my all time favorites
I would love to see them react to that. One of my favourite ever series.
One of my favorite series- Black Books still rocks ❤❤
To explain it, heston blumenthal is a chef that's famous for making weird and absurd foods, they're at his restaurant, which is why everything is so messed up there.
he is a genius though:)
Definitely worth a reaction watch of his TV show, some of his meals were proper mental
Notice they never say Blumenthal and the restaurant if the Flappy Duck instead of the Fat Duck to keep the lawyers happy.
A chef who never stopped to ask if he *should*, only if he *could*.
Don't try homemade snail porridge 🤢
Toast of London is an absolute must-see for you guys. Matt Berry is the main character, and Arthur "Fr Ted, IT Crowd" Matthews is the writer along with Berry himself.
'Black Books' might be worth a try? Or, as someone has already mentioned, 'Garth Marenghi's Darkplace'. (Richard Ayoade and Matt Berry)
If nothing else a Dark Place 'most insane moments' compilation is a must
I've mention a few times on other videos about Dark Place, I think they would love it :) Maybe Black Adder or Bottom also
Yes, Black Books would be great (said that in another comment) but I'd forgotten about Dark place. I'd enjoy that too.
Garth Merenghi's Darkplace next!
Once you've done the special, please look at 'Black Books'
Black Books and Blackadder are definitely two MUST watch shows
Black books next to watch
"what we do in the shadows" next plz, also with matt berry. its hilarious
Fun fact: Belinda Anthea Stewart-Wilson, the actress playing Victoria Renyholm (and Will’s mum before that) had appeared in The IT Crowd before, as Barbara Renyholm, the widow of Denholm Renyholm, making her the stepmother and wife of Douglas and the daughter-in-law of her own previous character. 🤷♂️
Barbara and Victoria are twins. That's how I see it.
GREEN WING soon please :) You'll know a load of the actor including Olivia Coleman in a fantastic role and I'll let everyone else name the rest
No chance, far too much sex, swearing, swearing about sex and music.
A lot of fun characters in this show but I think Sue White is my FAV.
+up vote for season 1-2 of ‘I’m Alan Partridge’ starring Steve Coogan.
Another reaction channel is already doing that
I think you're slowly being readied for the Mighty Boosh, and Garth Marenghis Darkpkace. Boosh is Noel Feildings (Richmond) show. You'll see Matt Berry (Reynholm) and Ayoade (Moss), and others. It's surreal comedy but a world you fast settle into.
Darkplace isn't as well known, but it takes all the things you seem to love, to the next level. Again Matt Berry and Ayoade are in it, and Fielding makes a cameo. Co written and directed by Ayoade, only 4 eposides but one of the funniest things you'll ever see.
Matt Berry (Reynholm) plays Mr Handy/Snip Snip in the new Fallout TV series btw.
No way! I wasn't sure whether or not to try that show but I'll have to give it a go now.
fantastic!
he is in it for 5 minutes at the most but still great.
@@alancx523 LOL, me too.
They seemed to slow down each sequence when the ghoul was in it just to let him deliver his lines, and he spoke slowly and a lot, and just makes any action sequence weird.
You had people he was about to shoot wait at the end of his gun while he spouted his lines.
Yes! Definitely watching it now!
"Read it back!"
"Bollocks..."
"DON'T read it back!"
"pedalstool"and "a damp squid..." XD!
If you enjoyed the randomness of The IT Crowd and Father Ted, you'll adore Black Books. It's the most surreal of the trio.
Not as funny in my view
I've heard a lot of people say they don't really like this episode. I think it's an absolute riot, and I would have been perfectly happy had this been the actual finale.
Every time I see Matt Berry in that suit he made I can't help but think what a brilliant Dr. Who he would make.
Yes, What We Do In The Shadows is one of the best things ever, and starts to attract lots of famous guest names after a while. It never seems to run out of ideas and seems to get better as the seasons go on.
YOU GOTTA SEE "WHAT WE DO IN THE SHADOWS" MATT BERRY IS HILARIOUS😄😃😂😄😃😂BEST COMEDY ON NOW!!!👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
ALSO HE'S IN "TOAST OF LONDON" HILARIOUS, TOO!!!!😄😃😂😄😃😂
And Toast of Hollywood...
Got to be Garth Marenghi's Darkplace next - Matt (Douglas) Berry and Richard (Moss) Ayoade. Kooky craziness.
Yup, if he found a visable mic boom hilarious in the Startrek porno, he'd love Darkplace lol
Spot-on mate, that is Will's mum (from the inbetweeners). Also, Heston Blumenthal, is a 'famous' chef renowned for creating odd dishes!
Belinda Stewart-Wilson... and damn, she's hot!
@@citizen..X Is she still hot?
Why did you put "famous" in quotations marks?
@@lifesbutastumble everyone has a different opinion of fame, varying degrees of popularity obviously define who is famous in their profession, and who's known but not as well known. I'd say compared to Gordon Ramsey, Marco Pierre White, Michel Roux etc, Heston Blumenthal is known but not AS known!
Garth Marenghi's Darkplace, Black Books, Derry Girls, The League of Gentlemen...
Every joke in this episode got a chuckle out of me, but Moss' testimony had me in stitches, that was amazing! :D
Moss in the witness box gets me everytime! 😆 -x-
The multi coloured suit is a parody of the one Heather Mills McCartney wore during the divorce proceedings with Paul. So sad The It Crowd reactions are nearing the end. The IT Crowd outtakes, Derry Girls, Vicar of Dibley and someone else mentioned too The Thin Blue Line are great too.👋
Black Books :)
@@yester30 Gotta finish that trilogy.
Derry Girls is a great shout
Douglas:- You're name is Maurice Moss is it not?
Moss:- ?
Douglas:- No further questions M'Lord.
Lol.
I love watching these IT Crowd watch alongs
THE THIN BLUE LINE- Rowan
Atkinson stars in it. Only 2 series but very funny!
I really hope Derry Girls is the show you watch next.
Without some background on the Troubles most of the humour would go over their heads.
Being a Trekkie, this is my favourite episode. The women who played the Doctor had Dr McCoy's mannerisms spot on!
Moss’s time in the witness box. That’s the moment in this episode.
it's fizzy!
Been waiting so long for it cuz I know how much KB and QB love him, one of his and the shows best moments
Nobody seems to have mentioned yet and I waited SO LONG to be able to say this... it's the same actress that played his Dad's wife!! 🤣
Sorry for your loss - Move on
Belinda Stewart-Wilson
The accusation lawyer is the guy with lazy-eye.
"Yes, we're looking at you!"
I've always found that weird too. Did she marry both Douglas and Denholm? Or are we just not supposed to notice it's Belinda Stewert-Wilson playing both roles?
@@wurble Same actress, different characters. Other sitcoms to have done likewise include Man About the House, 2point4children & Not Going Out.
I'd vote for 'Spaced' as your next classic UK show. It's by the dudes that went on to make 'Shaun Of The Dead' and it's class. But seeing as you like Graham Linehan's shows, I'd also recommend the sketch Show 'Big Train'. Hilarious.
Richard Ayoade and Matt Berry star along with Richmond in a great parody of a '70s rock opera based on the Nativity (told from the perspective of the Innkeeper) called "AC/BC".
It's worth it just to hear Douglas and Moss singing!
Great video guys!!
The final episode, "The Internet is Coming" is in my top 3 episodes. Usually when shows do a comeback special it doesn't work, but in this case it was terrific.
A lot of people have recommended Black Books, and I'm 100% on board with that. Brilliant show.
Would like to see a reaction to "Coupling". A Friends-like UK comedy series, but a bit more adult and raunchy. Directed by Stephen Moffat (who made the Sherlock series).
Hillarious AF 😊
Coupling is brilliant
No way. Two IT crowd episodes in one week. ❤ This makes me so happy.
So, the layout of a court in the UK.
The place where the Judge sits is called the Bench. Below and in front of this is the Clerk's station. These both face into the well of the court; on the Judge and Clerk's right is where the lawyers for the prosecution sit, and the lawyer for the defense is to the left. In the center of the well is the Dock, where the accused sits. The jury box - kind of explanatory - sits to one side, and the witness box (sometimes referred to as the stand) is opposite the jury box.
36:20 "BLACK BOOKS"
What We Do In The Shadows. You will love it. Matt Berry at his best. 'Nuff said.
Wills mom iz FIT!
Richard I-Oh-Ah-Dee
Richard Ayoade has such s specific voice. You can not miss him. He was voice-acting in the movies The Bad Guys (2022) and also in Pixar's movie Soul (2020). And I loved him there too.
If you enjoy Matt Berry (Douglas Reynholm), you should check out the What We Do in the Shadows TV series where he plays horny vampire, Laszlo Cravensworth. Absolutely hilarious.
'Garth Marenghi's Darkplace' next!
If you like Matt Berry and like absurdist humour, you could give Garth Marenghi's Dark Place a go.
It's only 6 episodes but great.
It also has Richard Ayoade in it too.
I.T. Crowd 2006-2013 but they had a couple of longer breaks between some seasons. Two year break between 2008-2010 and three year break between 2010-2013
Many thanks! It is hilarious seeing which bits send you guys into hysterics. Keep 'em coming!
They looked for his wife... for five hours.
Underrated joke.
To be pedantic, Graham Linehan didn't tell Richard Ayoade to be himself, when Richard asked Graham what voice he should use Graham told him to just use his own voice.
Have a feeling "sing you canary" was ad-libbed, Noel Fielding nearly broke afterwards.
Yeah you can really see him trying not to laugh
1:12 That's very a very exciting way to say excited right there!
There is some brewing arguments about the Fallout series, but the fact that Matt Berry (Douglas Reynholm) voices the (Mr.Handy) robots is golden. It's not much in terms of content, but it's enough to delight for those sparse moments!
She was also Denhom's wife at the funeral. So wife of father and son!
IT Crowd!
IT Crowd!
Whatcha gonna do today,
IT Crowd!
Youre missing out on not doing gavin and stacey. He may have turned into a bit of a idiot but that show was briliant, plenty of welsh accents for you as well 😂😂
Darkplace after IT Crowd please! 😂 🙏 then Toast of London ❤
We NEEEEED Darkplace. And Toast. Darkplace first.
💯
Darkplace? I don't know that one. What's it like?
There's also a British series about a
vampire, werewolf and ghost living together that is quite good. But it's not pure comedy. I think it's called Being Human.
They need to do Green Wing also, underrated weirdness with a crazy cast
@@lystic9392 full title is Garth Marenghi’s Darkplace, it’s only 6 episodes, and it’s about an 80s horror TV show set in a hospital, which was made by a bad British knock-off Stephen King, with current-day interviews framing the episodes - it’s genius
Oh my god they missed that Jen said (about the knife) “I didn’t realise these were edible too.” And Victoria said “They’re not…” The most inconvenient time to have paused and then, for once, not to have rewound. 🤦🏻♂️😂
Thank you for the reaction, really brightened up my day 😊
You should go back in time (as it were) and watch Rising Damp. Absolutely hularious. A classic
Kinda dated now, it's 50 years old FFS
new show? I reckon it's "Black Books" - written by Graham Linehan too - plus Great Irish Standup comedian Dylan Moran (who stars in Black Books - and also played that coward guy in SHawn Of The Dead). If it's not that - shame shame know your name (strokes finger)
Gavin & Stacey is worth a watch. Cordon co wrote with another of the actors in it & it's a strong cast of of at least 8 good main characters.
"Derry Girls" you two might like.
I know you've decided but... DARKPLACE DARKPLACE DARKPLACE DARKPLACE DARKPLACE DARKPLACE DARKPLACE.
And furtherMORE: Garth Marenghi's Darkplace is good and only six episodes and has the actors who played Moss and Douglas in it.
And also: DARKPLACE!
A lot of British references in here that you probably won't get. As well as the Heston Blumenthal joke, the joke Victoria said about the last thing she remembered was taking a canoeing trip is a reference to an actual English guy that faked his death by taking a canoe out and pretending to go missing at sea, so his wife could collect the insurance money and they could live a secret life in a different country. They would have got away with it but they guy tried to return to the UK 5 years later claiming he had Amnesia and couldn't remember the past few years, which resulted in the all story unravelling. ITV made a documentary on it called The Thief His Wife & The Canoe
great reaction! ps the knives were NOT edible (thats why she says "theyre not")
Surprised that you haven't watched "Spaced" yet. It's considered by loads of people, to be one of their favourite shows. Early Simon Pegg, I reckon you will really like it
Will's mum played a completely different character in an earlier episode of the IT Crowd, working in the offices at Reynholm
Father Ted is one of the best ever.
Love your UK reactions.
Year of the rabbit, is another hilarious Matt Berry role.. and the 'matt berry does' vids,
House of Fools with Matt Berry and Bob Mortimer and Vic reeves is worth a watch. It's totally insane.
“Bottom” would be a good watch, think you’d love it.
I could be wrong, but it seems like "damp squid" and "peddle stool" is a callback to the first episode, when Jen calls Roy and Moss "social piranhas"
Do Black Books guys, it's right up your street 😂
It's been a long time since Ive seen this episode, which IMO is an example of comedy brilliance 🤣🤣
The IT Crowd started in 2006 and ended in 2010 - it had a reunion episode (aka Series 5 Episode 1) in 2013. The Inbetweeners started in 2008 an ended in 2010 with the two films being released in 2011 and 2014 respectively. So, to answer your question about Victoria / Will's Mum, we'd known her for two years from The Inbetweeners before she appeared in this episode. Although she did also play Denholme's wife in the funeral at the start of Series 2 of the IT Crowd (when they go to the church and Roy thinks he's going to die, and we meet Douglas for the first time (FATHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!))
she was also an extra when roy got stuck under the desk
The woman who plays Douglas' wife (will's mom in inbetweeners) also plays Denholm Reynholm's widow during the funeral (so maybe Douglas' mom, but probably not probably Denholm's trophy wife who may also later marry Douglas as she is a gold digger) edit: according to The IT Crowd wiki fandom Barbara is Douglas' stepmom
although Denholm's wife/widow is called Barbara and Douglas' ex-wife is Victoria (but it's the same actress) could still be the same character and since Barbara isn't Douglas' Victoria might be Barbara and considering its the same actress that's quite likely in my mind and since 'Victoria' is money driven i would guess if it is the same person she was after the Reynholm's for their money, and just changed her name to trick Douglas' into marrying her as well (doubt she would of needed to change her name to get in with Douglas)
Although Jen is closely involved with the whole Victoria story line she never mentions anything about it... although she as a character is quite airheaded so might not notice it...but thinking about it Richmond who knew Denholm well wrongly recognises her as a former Goth2Boss client, but maybe that's him wrongly remembering how he actually remembers her
you should react to the bloopers compilations now, so funny
Black Books! Also written by Graham Lineham! Black Books! It has the mum from Friday Night Dinner in it and it’s hilarious! Black Books! Black Books! Did I mention Black Books? 😂
Gotta finish that Linehan T R I L O G Y
And btw, I watch your videos on repeat all day and you guys are the only ones I don't disable adverts for...I will make you richer, one laugh at a time!
Love the new intro hated getting scared everytime from the buhhhhhh buhhhhhh buhhhhhhhh😂
So Queen Boomer walks around the house topless usually? That's... interesting. xD
Echoing many here....Black Books next! Please! I've only ever seen one other channel watch it, but it's a truly beautiful study in misanthropic absurdity. Hell, I'll send you one of my 3 identical box sets (those darn multiple Christmas gifts! People never check!)
My top shows for ‘up next’ would be Garth Marenghi’s Darkplace as a quick interim, then Black Books and Toast of London in whatever order :)
P.S. thank you so much for your reaction videos. I love sharing the experience with you guys. Together you have such a comforting vibe and it really makes certain times a lot easier to handle. Love from Australia ❤
The apparent milk they're drinking is a parody of the type of surreal stuff you'd eat and drink in a Heston Blumenthal restaurant. Presumably, it's supposed to be a white wine that is literally white.
Cordon wasn't just in Gavin and Stacey, he also co wrote it with Ruth Jones who also acts in it.
I do understand why people dislike Cordon, I'm not a fan either, but G&S is a funny program. Those who say they'd unsub if you reacted to G&S are actual muppets.
If you wanna try something completely different I would highly recommend Derry Girls. I think Queen Bomer would love it. Although it makes sense to do Black Books first
If you love Matt Berry, you have to watch Toast Of London. He's the lead character It's very funny.
Also 'The Year of the Rabbit'
The courtroom-scene always reminds me of The Three Stooges' "Disorder in the Court"
I think Black Books or The Vicar of Dibly is a good idea for next series
ALL relationships are "Complicated" 🤔🤔🤔
Not only was she Will's mum she was also the wife of the original Denholm Reyholm she is the widow at the funeral, can't be the same character or she was married to her own son.
Someone else will have said, Reynholm has another character in s comedy series called toast. It’s fire.
As is moone boy, written by Chris O’Dowd.
You are best when you react as a couple. 😎👍🏽👍
EYE-OH-AH-DEE 😉
I'll miss these IT Crowd reactions
You've probably already been told, but look out for 'Toast of London'.
Written by Matt Berry and Arthur Mathews, who co-wrote Father Ted.
Thank you king and queen boomer, inbetweeners and now this it's been great to rewatch these shows with you even though I've seen them 10 thousand times already they will never not be funny and you guys embrace our britsh comedy so well so respect been such a laugh. Appreciate these videos
Guys, you might like to check out 'Brass Eye' (1997) starring Christopher Morris. Only 7 episodes and a little dated but still iconic British comedy.
Hope you eventually get to see Matt Berry in Toast of London.
We want Darkplace! We want Darkplace!
do you know what, Richard Ayoade (MOSS) has got to be one of the funniest guys ever, i love him lol
