Matt Berry who plays Douglas, is in a hilarious American made series about a load of ancient vampires living, in modern times, on Staten Island, called What We Do In The Shadows. He plays Laszlo a 310 year old vampire. Five series of 50 odd episodes have been shown on FX but has never got more than 400,000 - 500,000 US viewers. It is based on an original New Zealand made film and is hilarious. Please try and catch it as I know you will both get the humour, having loved this, Plebs, The Inbetweeners and Friday Night Dinner and so on.

The Inbetweeners and The IT Crowd were both Channel 4. Another show that was on Channel 4 and featured both Richard Ayoade and Matt Berry was Garth Marenghi's Darkplace, which was hilarious. And it was only 6 episodes, so it would be a quick one for you to watch

There have been many UK shows like Builders from Hell, Plumbers from Hell etc. in which real-life bad tradesmen are invited to a house with hidden cameras to do work & are filmed to see what they do.
And then we realised it's every tradesman and the shows went on forever.
But then you'd scream if your boss had a camera pointing at you while at work..

Channel 4 isn't a cable channel my friend. In the UK we started with just BBC 1, that was our only TV channel when television launched here, then we got BBC 2 and followed shortly by ITV, and that was it for like 20 years or something then in the 80s Channel 4 was launched. It was all public broadcast, no cable. I believe we started having cable and satellite services introduced in the 90s, possibly earlier but you had to be well off to be able to afford that. The majority of the country just had those 4 channels, later joined by channel 5. You legally had to have a TV license to watch TV at all but even if you didn't all you need was a TV and you could watch those basic channels. Our history with television is very different to America's, hope you find that interesting haha. Been enjoying your content.

Garth Marenghi's Darkplace has a LOT of random quirky humour and also stars Moss and Douglas Renholm. It's free on UA-cam but I believe although they allow reactions they do de-monetise.
Green Wing, Toast of London and Blacks Books. All very funny.
Channel Four is just a transmitted TV station in the UK open to anyone to watch- The Inbetweeners wasn't even on that late in the evening. UK mainstream TV has things like The Naked Attraction- a dating style show where potential dates are shown completely naked!
He also did black books which is fantastic.
I think black books is a step down compared to father Ted and it crowd. I tried to watch it before but stopped after a few episodes.

Channel 4 is public service television, Free to air, started in 1984, and is run not for profit. We got BBC / ITV / Channel 4.
Fantastic reaction guys! There is another, older show with some of these actors in. Its only 1 season long (6 episodes) and has attained 'cult' status because its so amazing at being sooooo bad and one of very few series that has a story within a story within a story!.................its also very very funny! the show is......................Garth Marenghi's Dark Place..........a must watch! :)

Mr Reynolm & the girls were having a silent disco. They are getting quite popular in the UK. Especially if the club/disco is near a lot of houses. Everyone has headphones on & the music is played to them. So they dance, which looks like they're all insane.
Hey Boomer! Ex-Total War designer here, it's not actually Matt Berry doing the voice over in Rome 2, but it's funny you should mention it because we always remarked internally about how much it sounded like him! Love the channel, keep up the good work ❤

The boss, Douglas, is so much like some British Black Jack! He agrees not to get into any trouble. Then he excitedly finds the gun! I laughed so hard! We all knew it was gonna be trouble.

In Britain you phone 111 and you can speaks to treagh who will tell you what to do or go into an ER.
Since you seem to love Douglas so much, should check out "What we do in the Shadows". Amazing mocumentary about vampires in New York, same kind of humor as this
The original Renham is a guy called Chris Morris. He`s written loads of stuff. Brass Eye was awesome as was the film Four Lions.
Look for a clip of Richard Aoyade talking like a Cockney geeza. Funny as f😅

I know KB has a few different laughs, but at 16:27 so reminded me of Dick Van Dyke's chuckle for a few seconds. And that's something that can cheer people up, elevate their day, just a simple laugh, a great soul, anyway just wanted to type it, probably nobody will agree lol

Ideally as a reaction, but you really, _really,_ *_REALLY_* need to watch it, even if just for yourselves... To clarify, Graham Linehan was probably more-or-less fine around the time he was making IT Crowd, Father Ted and Black Books.
But he went wayyyy off the deep end in the last decade, and ruined his marriage and career by becoming obsessed with attacking a certain minority.
Like, not even "having concerns" or just making tone-deaf statements. He has legitimately lost his mind.
Can't even be mad at him, it's just kinda sad.
Another Graham Linehan series you should check is Black Books. Great cast. Love from the UK

We do have a 24 hour doctor service. We have to call our usual Doctors number & there will be an answering machine with an emergency number. We also have the NHS 111 helpline that's 24/7. They have staff there all the time & the caller will be assisted by answering their questions. The 111 adviser can determine whether you need to go to the hospital or not. Yes our doctors & hospital visits are free, unless you are a visitor. Even then you won't pay a lot for your appointment with the GP/Hospital doctor.
You need to watch Garth Marenghi's Darkplace, its written by the guy who plays Moss in this.
The only things ever needed to watch "The Inbetweeners" is a TV and a TV-top (eg: "rabbit-ears")/spiky rooftop aerial (US: "antenna"). No cable, satellite dish or subscription required; the show's always been transmitted unscrambled and free-to-air. The thing is that UK TV has always been much less restrictive in what can be broadcast than the US, whether in the form of nudity; swearing; controversial stuff; etc.
