Keep him coming back! He's got the best stories and he tells it like it really happened! GREAT guest!
I watched Mr Ulrich race for yrs and never knew anything about him.. He is funny as hell and thank you for doing the peace on him. The part about
him leaving the guy in the bathroom at holman@ Moody had me laughing for day's..I was kart racing in daytona's dirt track and won so we had partied a lot. When we pulled up to a toll booth we thought we were at a mcdonalds drive threw and started ordering.....lol or tried too. We got away but later that night lost the truck but found a girl. It was a good trade for a while any way.
I can't get enough of these stories
Those were the times to be in stock car racing those were the days. 😎✌️🇺🇸
Damn straight, brother man!
What a time to be alive....and I was there every weekend to see this in the early 80s. Except, I didn't know all THIS was going on 😁
DK will be tough to top as far as guests go....
Keep 'em coming! DK is great, these are stories from people that made NASCAR great, but get little exposure today.
DK made a personal appearance at the local Chevy dealership in my hometown in 1978. The first NASCAR driver I ever met and got an autograph from.
The year-end highlight video is going to be one for the ages...
From scrapping cars 2 owning hotels in the Bahamas!?!?! Man i gotta know his backstory!!🤣🤣
Thanks For Uploading Rick And Steve
This/These Podcast are the best thing going involving the word "nascar."
never really watched Nascar but this man's story is gold!!!
DK is such a great storyteller and has so many interesting tales! These may be the best vault videos yet, although they have all made for great times...
In today's version of Nascar,it's impossible for people like D.K. to compete, and that's a real shame.Independent drivers were a part of Nascar for decades, and I for one miss seeing them on the track....
Holy shit. I could never see Richmond shooting dope but that 100 percent explains everything about his illness and the aids. One thing that I’ve noticed about those guys is that if they don’t have a clean needle they don’t mind using someone else’s to get their fix so he probably contracted it from somebody….that is a wild story. I honestly thought Tim wasn’t a drug user. I don’t fault him or look down on him for any of it though and he was only human and an absolutely incredible driver!!
There's a story in Ernie Irvan's autobiography about his first race with DK at Martinsville. About 100 or so laps into the race, Ernie noticed he was very uncomfortable in the seat, and felt like his bottom was basically on fire. He radioed in "my butt is burning!" and said he would not be able to finish the race. DK immediately began calling him a wimp and every other emasculating name in the book before finally agreeing to relieve him as driver. After they make the switch, DK radios in after about another 100 laps complaining of the same thing as Ernie and begging for damp towels to relieve the soreness. (Turns out the seat had collapsed over the tailpipe, so there was no insulation from the heat the exhaust was generating). Both men had blisters all over their backsides and had to ride home from the race laying facedown in the back of a van. A truly dignified experience for all.
Stand by for next week’s episodes!
I'm glad I had the pleasure of being in racing when DK and HB and all those guys were still in racing. I wish you guys would get smutt on your show to.
Go through the past shows.
He's already been done.
These podcasts bring back a lot memories I actually drove one of dick mays west tracks work on Elmo Langley pit crew back in the early 80s
Used to have a guy who worked for me in Raleigh NC who told stories about shooting heroin with Tim R. But I wasnt really into Nascar back then so it didnt mean anything to me.
very revealing...
somebody needs to track the dude down that stole the pace car at talladega and interview him....just sayin....they found lw wright...lets see that dude
I knew Richmond liked to party hard, but I had no idea that he would actually 💉
What's this island D.K. is talking about?
He once owned an island in the Bahamas, along with the hotel there. He sold it, but apparently still has full access.
