🙏🙏thank you

Love your designs❗ Do you ever torte your cakes?
👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
interesting tutorial thank you for sharing! what buttercream is that one? how do you manage to paint on it without affecting the buttercream??
Beautiful ❤ can we use vanilla with colours
This is great! Do you put the cake in the fridge or freezer before starting the watercolor? Is it better cold or room temp? Do you just put a little of the watercolor on the sponge so that it won't mess up the buttercream by making it watery.
Excellent skills and very well explained tutorials.i m ur biggest fan dear.plz keep sharing ur work with ur fans.GOD bless u.much luv from pakistan.
I love it. It almost looks like a beautiful under water seen. Stupid question but where do you buy the Everclear?
Thanks;) I got it at my local grocery store, but I have heard it can be hard to find. You can also use vodka or even lemon extract.
Such a gorgeous cake! I love your tutorials!! Just wanted to know, is there anyway to do this technique without using alcohol?
Sure! You can also use lemon extract;)
@@sophisticakesbymary thank you!
Hey , you are awesome, can you put the buttercream recipe you usually use plz 🌷🌷🌷
I have a tutorial all about it already:)If you scroll down my videos you should fine it:)
Love this tutorial ❤️ Is there a substitute that can be used for alcohol?
Sure! You can use lemon extract too.
Mary, will this also work on swiss buttercream? Love this!
Yes, as long as you return it to the fridge when it starts to soften.
@@sophisticakesbymary oh awesome... thank you so much!
thank you so much for this video. can you please talk about condensation? while the cake started to sweat at the event will the color run down the cake and ruin the design?
I personally have not had that happen. I use a residential fridge and they seem to be drier then commercial. I also make sure to tell customers to leave them in an air-conditioned room. Can't say for sure that they do, but they have been warned!
Great job 👏🏾, did you freeze the cake before doing water colour? X
Thanks;) When I am painting I don't want it to sweat. So either freezer for just 10 minutes or fridge for 20.
@@sophisticakesbymary thanks a lot x
Did you only use one shade of blue to make all those colors
Wonderful..can it work on fondant
Absolutely!
After you put on the buttercream how long do you put it in the freezer to work with? And how long can you work with it before it will go soft
I leave it for about 20-30 minutes. As far as how long before it softens, it really depends on the conditions you are working in, but I would say probably 30 minutes?
Does the everclear leave an after taste of alcohol at all? Beautiful work btw!
Nope not at all;) totally evaporates and just leaves the color.
Hi! I live in a place where butter doesnt stay Very hard at room température (even in winter). Do u think its possible this technique ? Or simple watercolor painting? Thanks!
You can do this on Swiss, Italian, Fondant or ganache. Or on an all high ratio shortening buttercream.
@@sophisticakesbymary thanks! I will try!
Will this work on Italian meringue buttercream?
Absolutely!
Can you use vanilla flavoring instead of the everclear?
Maybe? I don't know that it has the right acidity?
Did you work on the cake when it was refrigerated? Or was it more room temperature?
Always refrigerated;)
Will this work on regular buttercream frosting? Should I chill before using this technique?
Yes and yes;)
Forgot to ask do you have any videos showing how to do the embroidery technique ?
I do! Let me find the link quick.

Will this work on SMB?
Yes. As long as it is chilled first;)
Hi chef, what a subtite for alcohol?coz im non alcohol..
Yoi can also use lemon extract;)
Thx chef
I felt like Selena Gomez is decorating the cake.
I have heard that quite a few times;);)
I have seen people use chopsticks to apply gold leaf.. Perhaps that would work easier?
I can't even eat with chopsticks;););)
@@sophisticakesbymary just take one chop stick, lift and place on cake.. People who struggled for years said this worked best.. Just a thought 🌷
It would be worth a try;)
Wow Simple but elegant I have a birthday cake coming up this Saturday for my friend with a different color I’m gonna do this cake and then tag you to it if you have Instagram.
