Hey! Thanks for watching! Like I mentioned in the video, I was shocked at the potential of a fully upgraded mining beam. The best part is that you can use any s-class multitool as long as its supercharged slots are connected.😎
Neutron Cannon upgrades are THE WORST to collect - one at a time on a space station... I compromised with 122,222 damage - u can get it to 150,000 apparently, I have found a decent 'generous' pirate station that churns out 2 or three of each upgrade per save - 'Generous' Pirate Station: Bird, Sunset, Whale, Face, Triangle, Whale, Sunset, Sunset, Whale, Sunset, Spider, Dragonfly
But neutron cannons are especially powerful against horrors tho, the ones spawn after you destroy their egg. When they spawned, just blast them with full charge and AOE would do the work 9/10.
Just spotted ur vid - haven't been on for a bit. Thnx for this, you confirmed my suspicions about X Class M/B upgrades... got up the last few mornings early, grinded until the wife got up and focused on getting a multitude of X Class upgrades for most of the mutlitool ...favourite weapons/tools maxed out as good as possible. Thank you!!!
Hey, Brother! Thanks for watching! I appreciate you! It took some time to farm the best stat X and S-class upgrades, but it was worth the effort. I was shocked at the performance of the mining beam as it just melts sentinels.😎
Of all the hard work and information you NMS youtubers provide.. what amazes me most is how often you guys find us addresses which only need 2 glyphs to access. Why I don't use this I don't know.. Sick of running out of ammo.. and had noticed this a while ago (even more extreme with sentinel laser).. Had only a few times where I went "screw it" and just used multitool.. habits I guess..
Hey, Brother! Thanks for watching the video. The mining laser is my new go-to weapon of choice because of its damage over time properties and it's recoilless, making it the easiest weapon to use.😎
It was great ages ago, they even had damage upgrades for it at one stage I had a multi tool doing over 500 damage per laser tick, that is on PC saves as I usually play it on console now instead.
I was just checking this out last night when I was playing. Without a doubt, it's just as powerful as my Neutrino Pistola! But it's far more versatile and affordable for new players, and easy to get. I haven't tried it yet, but the autophage laser supposedly cloaks you when mining! Would be very helpful for newer players and those doing survival and perma death modes.
Hey! Thanks for watching! Like I mentioned in the video, I was shocked at the performance. The SC slot configuration will make a huge difference with the upgrades, whether they're "S" or "X" class, but the mining beam is a great all-around weapon.
@@OddManGaming I finally got a S class with 4 SC close enough to try it, and it felt like cheating! Too awesome. I'll try out the Autophage tool to see if it truly makes you invisible. If it does that would make it great for yanking Echo locators with out having to fight/run all the time.
I'm a year late for the video, but pretty new to the game, so I really appreciate your guides! While it's definitely possible to get more damage by doing a similar setup with a "real" weapon, this is really effective and incredibly simple. I LIKE simple, so I'm going with this as my primary weapon for fighting Sentinels and whatever else might need to be zapped. :)
Thanks for watching! The mining beam is underrated as an offensive weapon, but with the right multitool and upgrade modules, the mining bean is formidable enough to smoke anything that gets in your way.
Hey, thanks Brother! This was a fun video to make, and like I mentioned, I was shocked at how well the mining beam works as an offensive weapon when fully upgraded. Thanks again for watching!😎
Ya use that but I also like to use the paralysis thing for extra damage and it will stun a lot of enemies so u melt them all and they don't even get a shot off lol
I have the same sentinel MT with sideways T-shape slots, I use three for the mining beam and one for the boltcaster. I can mine resources in the 6-800+ range (ie almost instant for anything small-medium) without ever overheating, and can take out regular sentinels in usually 1, sometimes 2 bursts of the boltcaster. idk for some reason i find them easier to hit with the boltcaster than the beam sometimes lol. but yeah if you don't have time or want to bother switching the beam just obliterates them, even when only using three of the slots
Hey! Thanks for watching! Two connected supercharged slots will get the job done. I'm on the hunt for an out-of-the box S-Class sentinel multitool with all 4 slots connected. I'll post a video detailing its location as soon as I find it. Thanks again Brother!😎
Hey! There's no difference. In fact, depending on how intense the fight may be, it's easier IMO to shoot the barrels to get the loot. Thanks for watching!😎
Nice. i usually prefer the scattergun. right off the bat its about the only weapon i need. but the mining laser? never considered it that effective as a weapon. until now.
Hey! Thanks for watching! I was shocked at how effective a fully upgraded mining laser was as a weapon. The best part is that it can be done with any multitool as long as it's an S-Class with all 4 supercharged slots connected. Thanks again for your support😎
Imagine how much damage this would do if X-class ugprades weren't bugged and you could actually roll high mining speed stats with them along with high everything else. Have you tested the mining beam's damage when equipped to the Atlantid / Atlas multitools? They have the highest mining stat multipliers in the game.
Hey! Thanks for watching. Yes! The Runic (Atlantid) multitools do significantly more mining damage as long as you don't install a standard mining with the runic lens since mining beams do the most damage when they're near overheating.
@@OddManGaming Good to know. I honestly never thought the mining laser could make for a good weapon, but this video proved me wrong. I take it the standard mining laser doesn't double the damage potential on runic multitools the way it does on sentinel multitools, then?
Hey! Check out my video here: NEW L-Shaped 4 Supercharged Slots Best Rifle Sentinel Multitool S Class | No Man's Sky Singularity - ua-cam.com/video/IUFbn0eMDZE/v-deo.html Hope this helps. Thanks for watching!😎
@@OddManGaming Thanks for the reply! :) I think you mentioned in the video that damage is not important but mining. Does that mean if i take a pistol, which does better in mining, that my damage would be higher? (or i think one other is good too, forgot its name)
Hey! Thanks for watching! For the mining beam, the S-Class upgrades have the best stats because they're the most consistent. Of the 3 X and S-class upgrades that I found, the X-class modules with 4 stats had a combination of both S and C-level stats. The S-Class modules will always have four high level stats. It's simply a matter of picking the best ones. Thanks again for watching!😎
Old Faithfuls: Optimised Force Silencer, Negative Gravity Entangler, Light Absorber Mark X, Arc Analyser. Hands up who DOESN'T own them yet (new player's hands go up),,,, 😀
Hey! Thanks for watching! Adjacency is important when min/maxing damage. Sounds like you got some better results after relocating your upgrades. With the right multitool, a fully upgraded mining laser is probably the best weapon in the game.
Also as a side note it sometimes bugs your multi tool and you only do a 1/3 to 1/4 of the damage. It even went from 707 to 132 damage. If you get this bug take all tech out of your blue slots then save, reload and put them back in the blue slots and it's fixed.
Hey! I've noticed that as well. There seems to be some sort of aim-assist function in the difficulty settings, but I can't seem to locate it to disable.

mining speed is important at all, max mining speed 20% with Atlantid MT will give you surprise, mining enemy 440 damage with my Atlantid MT

Thanks for watching. It's a sentinel multitool, which has the highest base damage stats of any other multitool in the game.
You can have 3 x class and 3 s class modules???
Nvm i see it was overloaded but what stat is best to have to increase the damage?
I wish we could have three of each upgrade, just like the old days before Waypoint!😎
