The screws in question will come with the case and not the motherboard. You'll get screws for the m2 drives etc but that is about it will all motherboards.
I'm not 100% sure if covered in the video, but the usb drive needs to be FAT32. Is his FAT32, PC off, USB in the BIOS Flashback port and then the button down for 10 seconds?
Go into file manager and right click/format and then select FAT32 over NTFS. Download the BIOS, unzip it, rename the file with the renamer. Plug the USB onto the BIOS Flashback button. Turn off the PC. Then hold down the BIOS Flashback button for 10 seconds and it should do its thing

Yes it is. When I looked at the BIOS versions they all support 5000 and it says so on the box...must be true;) This only came out about 6 months ago I think and 5000 was a thing then, so makes sense that it supports it out of the box. Hope this helps
Been looking for a white board thinking about getting this with a rtx 3070ti vision , ryzen 9 5900x , 32 or 64 3600 Corsair vengeance ram. Not sure if I should wait even longer for the prices to go down for the gpu or just go for it 😵💫🤔
Go for it if you want AM4 or hang on for AM5 later in the year. Prices will be higher for the newer stuff and I'm sure it won't be a good value ie if performance goes up 25% it will probably cost 33% more. Tricky one depending on how keen you are to build right now
It supports RGB in so much as there are headers for your fans etc, but the motherboard doesn't have it on the IO shroud to the left of the CPU socket for instance

Thanks bud. Just bought the a version of this board and this will be useful. Do you find that the white/silver still works in a white build? Is the silver very noticeable?
Hi, I think it works well with the silver, but I would have preferred more white on the board to truly say it fits in really well with a white build. This is mostly due to the PCB being black. The Asus Prime boards probably work best with a white build.

Hey there I recently bought this MoTherboard but i need a USB 2.0 to USB 3.2 Gen 1 header adapter. And A : A USB 3.2 Gen 1 to USB 3.2 Gen 2 header adapter for this motherboard specific. Do you know any links for these adapters???
I'm someone looking around at b550 motherboards for a first build. Why does Asus Tuf & Strix line-ups on pcpartpicker has those notes? Such as USB 3.1 Gen 2 to 3.2 Gen 2 header adapters being required and is that a major issue? I plan to put a motherboard in O11 Air Mini or Meshify 2 Compact.
This one in particular doesn't have a USB C header for your case front panel, but does have it on the IO shield (back of the motherboard). I wouldn't pay too much attention to PCPP. Btw, the Lian Li Mini Air is amazing and I highly recommend it.
If it works out of the box, then no. That said, you should update to the latest bios once you've built your system so that your board supports the latest hardware

So I just bought this motherboard, I have installed everything, even flashed the bios. But when I turn it on, the computer doesn’t show display through GPU (or motherboard) or output power to USB. I tried only 1 ram stick in 2nd slot away from cpu. I even tried connecting a keyboard, but when the computer turns on the keyboard lights don’t turn on. I’m really stuck since bios won’t even load… any suggestions?
Make sure all the power connectors are in place ie GPU etc. Are you using a DP cable or HDMI? Unplug any unnecessary USB devices and only have keyboard and mouse. Put the ram still coming slot 1. What CPU are you using? Maybe consider redoing the BIOS update
@@jonathanlin6995 shouldn't be a problem with a mac, did you rename the file with the program that downloaded with it? Are you using fat32 as the file system on the usb and are you using the bios flashback port?
Quick question - does this motherboard have WiFi? Was searching up this motherboard and heard that I have to buy a network adapter for it to connect to wifi, but unsure atm
I got the same motherboard but my ram won’t click in. I’ve tried 2 different types of ram that are compatible with the motherboard and it still won’t click in.
@@WayneWebbFilms to find out if I need to do It, do I need to put the pc together or could I just do the bios flashback with the usb? Will it effect anything if I just do the usb if the motherboard doesn’t need a update?
You can do either, but I would put the PC together outside the case, this is the way you should do it when building a new system to check that everything works. Try with the CPU in and if you don't get video, it's indicative of the BIOS needing an update. I would then employ the BIOS Flashback update method with the CPU and ram in etc. You can do it without, but that isn't something I have done tbh. To answer your other question, if you were to flash the same BIOS as already on there it won't do any damage. So up to you how you want to approach it.
So I got the computer to turn on but I have the boot light on green. I’ve unplugged the hard drive and plugged it back in and I still can’t get anything to pop on screen(bios settings or anything) what can I do?
It depends on the stock age. I didn't need a BIOS update and there was a sticker on the box to say it was compatible, but some other people said they needed to update before their 5000 series chip was recognised by the board.
hello! i did build with the white version of this motherboard and everything is up and running. the only problem is i cannot hear and i don’t know where to plug in the hd audio plug in that comes with the case. is there any way you know?

What is the cable you are attaching at 6:34? Is that for the aura rgb lights on the mb and where are you plugging them into? Cosair controller
I'm pretty sure that's the Corsair fan hub that comes with the case. It looks like I'm putting it into the CPU_OPT header but I'm not 100%
When I plug my headphone into the front panel , the sound is really bad like muffle . Does anyone know why ? it only works if I plug it into the back
Your case may have a dodgy port/cable. That said, is the cable in properly on the board and are the drivers up to date?
@@WayneWebbFilms so I should replace that cable? And I'm not sure about the drivers but I'll check them 🙂 thank you
@@ChimneyCakes it may not be straight forward to replace cables depending on the case, but driver updates would be the easiest way to go. Download Armoury Crate and that'll make life easier
@@WayneWebbFilms thank you ❤️ 💙
Where does the second M2 goes?
Hi, do I need to update bios with this Mobo if I pair it with r5 5600x? Great video btw😊 I just need to confirm it
Hi, no need to update because it supports the 5000 series out of the box
@@WayneWebbFilms oh thank you very much😊👍. I plan to get this Mobo cause it's literally the most beautiful white I have ever seen for amd
It's a nice looking board. There are the Asus Prime boards which are also white if you're not aware.
Can I directly download the latest BIOS version or should I download another version first? I'm about to build a PC but for the CPU to work I need to update/flash the BIOS.
Download the latest version and do the bios flashback
Very disappointing they didn't add Type C , at that price range it should be on there.
It's there? What did you even see :D

@@marcovic89 it is though lol
@@akosicjay6731 you are confusing sth, but nice try, there isnt

I dont think mine came with any screws, what kind are those at 6:08?
The screws in question will come with the case and not the motherboard. You'll get screws for the m2 drives etc but that is about it will all motherboards.
no front usb c might be the deal breaker
It's not great really. They have it on the b550-i so why not here!
What difrent from rog strix b550 f gaming? 🤔🤔
Essentially, colour (F black, A white) and this one doesn't have RGB on the IO shield etc
my buddy is following this but his LED light doesnt flash after holding the button, its the right bios and everything, its the exact same
I'm not 100% sure if covered in the video, but the usb drive needs to be FAT32. Is his FAT32, PC off, USB in the BIOS Flashback port and then the button down for 10 seconds?
@@WayneWebbFilms can his drive be formatted to use FAT32? if so, i know how to do that, his pc is off, and he held it for around 3 seoconds
@@WayneWebbFilms doing exactly as you said and while he holds it down it flashes but after he removes his finger the light stays solid, is that a problem? does it need to flash?
Leave it 5-10 mins and I think you'll find it is working as expected
Is this motherboard 5000 ready? Planning to get a 5800x. Just want to make sure
Yes it is. When I looked at the BIOS versions they all support 5000 and it says so on the box...must be true;)
This only came out about 6 months ago I think and 5000 was a thing then, so makes sense that it supports it out of the box. Hope this helps

@@carloss7557 i using this motherboard with 7 5800x
Been looking for a white board thinking about getting this with a rtx 3070ti vision , ryzen 9 5900x , 32 or 64 3600 Corsair vengeance ram. Not sure if I should wait even longer for the prices to go down for the gpu or just go for it 😵💫🤔
Go for it if you want AM4 or hang on for AM5 later in the year. Prices will be higher for the newer stuff and I'm sure it won't be a good value ie if performance goes up 25% it will probably cost 33% more. Tricky one depending on how keen you are to build right now
Do I have to buy the small black screws separately? Because I don’t have any
Whats your pc case?
Hi, i just build my pc using this mobo, thank you for tutorial. But why my asus logo on this mobo off?
No RGB unfortunately. I wasn't happy when I realized because the B550-F has it!!!
@@WayneWebbFilms ah i c, because im confused about it, some other video show that mobo have RGB, i thought my mobo was broken,
It supports RGB in so much as there are headers for your fans etc, but the motherboard doesn't have it on the IO shroud to the left of the CPU socket for instance
I dont know why some people don't care about to keep psu extension cables clean..look..
So my question for about this motherboard. So there 4 cables on the nzxt 6 flow case but on 3 connected to motherboard not sure if all 4 needs to be connected someone help!
I’m not familiar with the case, but my logic would be, if the cable fits, plug them in :)
Is it supposed to be flashing or steady green light is fine?
Hi wayne!,where's the PC box name?
Nice vid, what case is that it looks huge
It’s the 5000d airflow
Can you please help me I just bought atx mid rosewell and a Asus b550f trying to get a view on my screen but doesn't show anything I'm wondering if it the power connector I don't think I set right because I hold the power to turn off and nothing happens but when I push power from supply being off it comes on and my fans also
Have you hooked up the front panel cables correctly? Do you have any lights on the motherboard? Is your power supply turned on?
If so, I would unplug all of your power connectors on the motherboard and GPU and reattach making sure they clip in place.
Where is the gen 3 nvme slot?
I just bought it and I really struggled to put the lan on it and 1 day later I have again no ethernet port recognition. I see that I'm not the only one who has no solution at all for this LAN problem like me?
You need to download the drivers from the Asus website. Do you have another PC or a WiFi dongle?

Hey there I recently bought this MoTherboard but i need a USB 2.0 to USB 3.2 Gen 1 header adapter. And A
: A USB 3.2 Gen 1 to USB 3.2 Gen 2 header adapter for this motherboard specific. Do you know any links for these adapters???
Never used them myself, sorry.
Btw, the Lian Li Mini Air is amazing and I highly recommend it.
is there a VRM zone temperature sensor? since there is no sensor in В550 F gaming
I don't believe there is, maybe someone can help answer the question because I'm no longer in possession of this board.
Hello, do i need a bios update for this board if i plan to use an amd ryzen 7 5800x? Thank you in advance!
If it works out of the box, then no. That said, you should update to the latest bios once you've built your system so that your board supports the latest hardware
Only "SB550EG" no .CAP at the end after clicking BIOSRenamer is that safe or??
Hello , I need help on the wiring process I have the same board and case :( I’m having trouble finding where to plug everything on this mother board

Hi, do you mean the Type C connector on the case and it not being a feature of the B550-A? If so, no I didn't. I just used the rear IO.
I just bought a trident z 4000 mhz cl14 ram for this board and i cant overclock ram, what should be the issue? And how should i fix it?
Is the ram appearing on the QVL list? Is the BIOS on the latest version? Have you tried using the DOCP settings and/or manually set it?
What kind of case is that?
hey quick question, does the motherboard have built in wifi? Can I connect wifi wirelessly?
No inbuilt WiFi, but you can always get a USB WiFi adapter or fully commit and get a pcie one to use internally.
It doesn't have type c but has it on the shroud why
@@WayneWebbFilms tried all of that. Replacing motherboard . Does bios update work if the file was downloaded with Mac?
@@jonathanlin6995 shouldn't be a problem with a mac, did you rename the file with the program that downloaded with it? Are you using fat32 as the file system on the usb and are you using the bios flashback port?

No WiFi unfortunately, USB or pcie adapter is required.
How do you show everything but lan drivers 😿
I got the same motherboard but my ram won’t click in. I’ve tried 2 different types of ram that are compatible with the motherboard and it still won’t click in.
Urm so long as you have ddr4 and have them the correct way round you should be 100% fine. Try pushing the slot tabs open prior to installation
does the logos on the motherboard light up at all
Unfortunately not
Best way to get wifi to this board with a vertically mounted GPU?
I'd go with a USB WiFi stick tbh

I'm not familiar with that. I have an older linksys wus6300 that I have used for a number of years. Plenty of others out there
I have this motherboard with a ryzen 9 5900x do I need a bios update
Some do and some don't, just depends how old the stock with and your region. Easy to resolve with BIOS Flashback though :)
@@WayneWebbFilms alright thank you
So I got the computer to turn on but I have the boot light on green. I’ve unplugged the hard drive and plugged it back in and I still can’t get anything to pop on screen(bios settings or anything) what can I do?
Can you use a 5000 series cpu with this board?
Yes but you may need a BIOS update depending on how old the stock is. Use BIOS Flashback to do that which is easy and shown in the video.
@@WayneWebbFilms does the Strix B550-A need a bios update to run a 5800X stock? Just wondering
It depends on the stock age. I didn't need a BIOS update and there was a sticker on the box to say it was compatible, but some other people said they needed to update before their 5000 series chip was recognised by the board.
@@WayneWebbFilms ok, thanks for your help! Keep up the good work
hello! i did build with the white version of this motherboard and everything is up and running. the only problem is i cannot hear and i don’t know where to plug in the hd audio plug in that comes with the case. is there any way you know?
It is located in the bottom left hand corner of the motherboard. Please consult the marking on the board and/or manual for a precise location.

Hey, i really wanna know how u connected the fans to the motherboard. Are there 2 fans headers on the motherboard?
There are the following fan headers.
1 x CPU Fan connector(s)
1 x CPU OPT Fan connector(s)
3 x Chassis Fan connector(s)
I usually use a splitter or hub to minimise running cables all over the case.
