Hey there! Great video with tons of useful info. One suggestion: having two wide-angle shots that are very similar can be quite jarring to watch. Simple one for me, my new AM5 MB didn't support the 7800X3D CPU out the box, so had to use the flashback option. All done in 5 minutes, and then running with the CPU.

Fun story. When I was younger, around 14 I'd say, I went to a friend's house and played on his computer a bit. While he was away, to go run an errand with his mom I think, he left me with the PC. Out of boredom, I hit the DEL key to enter BIOS and I found things that were disabled. I thought hey, I should enable those to make his PC better! I'm such a good friend. So I enabled EVERYTHING. Needless to say, he wasn't very pleased. (For those who wouldn't get it, the PC stopped working and he had to send it for repair).
@@sillyguy3546 Nope! My brain just went "Why does he have so many things turned off? It'll probably work a lot better if I enable everything, let's do that"

He had just always used Line 6 plug and play easy mode amps and figured he knew how to use every amplifier cause of it. The problem lies deeper therein, it's a fundamental disconnect - having too much confidence in your judgement, and having no consideration for equipment that isn't yours
You don’t really need to use FAT 32 format some motherboards support exFat format and will work the same. If u have a USB stick that is 64 GB and does not support fat32 no need to get a different one, just put the bios file(after you rename it) in to a USB with an exFat format and as long as your Mother bord flash utility reads it your are good to go.For Ex i have a Asus ROG Strix Z690-F and the bios Flash utility has 0 problem reading exFat.I have done 5 bios Updates overall with this format and has 0 problems.

I wished he showed me how on the motherboard I bought, I was thinking before 08:29 LoL, that is the one! Yes, pretty sure hes using the nzxt mb which is basically an Asrock mb (the kind i use) so id assume that it means the same thing for you and i, anyway, for me it meant something went wrong, be sure that your usb is in the correct usb slot, you can figure out which one it is in the manual, when it happened to me was cuz i didnt put in a usb stick, i tried to put it in while light was still solid and held button down and it did the same thing, after I switched off the power supply, waited for the light to turn off, switched the psu back on and now with the usb stick in the right usb port, i held the button for a few seconds and it started flashing much longer and eventually turned off, hopefully my experience can help you, otherwise good luck soldier o7
I am looking to buy a custom prebuilt PC from NZXT and wondered if a Gigabyte GeForce RTX 4070 Ti SUPER and AMD Ryzen 7 7700X is a good combination. The complete build price is around $ 2100 USD, and I want to know if this is a good price.

hey! so i'm planning on getting a new cpu, ryzen 5 5600x, my current one being the 5 1500x. i thought since it's going to be newer i should update my bios before i get it, so i just drop the new one in and start it right up. long story short it gave me a recovery screen with the code 0xc000000f which i didn't know what to do with so i just reinstalled windows, which sucks. now my question would be, did i mess up something with this simple installation, or do newer bios versions stop supporting older cpu's? i can't get any valid info about this for some reason. thanks in advance:)

Build your own cheaper than that with the same parts
@@Meredithbytemebuilds I put it into pc partpicker and it’s about the same price. This is mainly because I would be using nzxt parts for looks. They only have a $100 build fee so it’s not bad and I don’t want to build it myself.
If I get a Asus Rog x870 - F will I need to update the bios? For the 9950x, or is the updating only for the x670 series and b670
Can i build the entire pc (put on all the components but not turning it on, only receiving power) and update the bios or do I have to update it first and then build it.
When I try to do Instant Flash in BIOS, my ASRock B650M Pro RS tells me, "No image file detected."
Also which port does the usb with the bios update go in?
I'm upgrading from a 7500f to an 7700x, I just updated bios when I installed the 7500f 3 weeks ago do I need to flash bios to upgrade to the 7700x?
i really need a guy like you to help me with my flight simulator game. It crashes in loading screens and such! :( i cant seem to fix it and i've searched everywhere to fix it. I was wondering if it might be a Bios problem.
Thank you
I have similar issue.
I have motherboard old one 2016 ago, MSI H110M PRO VH with last bios version is 2.0, and never update it. Now, the version is different "7996v2H".
Should I update the bios, or stick with an old version?
Yes you should update your Bios, especially if youre still using Ryzen 5000 series CPUs. Games will crash with the out of the box BIOS
I bricked my B450 board when I try to update the bios a while back. Never looked at bios update the same since.
i was lead here because my windows wasnt updateing and i found that out all because i tryed to connect my new xbox controller that wasnt connecting because xbox accesseries wouldnt work without latest windows
Does it keep all your changed settings after the bios update? I did some memory timings changes etc when I first bought it all but that was 1 year ago and I can't remember all of it.
You will want to save them before proceeding
2 ram sticks, both work individually, all 4 ram slots work with 1 stick in. ram sticks and slots all good and fully compatible
put 2 sticks in for dual channel and was working fine for 4 weeks
now with 2 sticks in slots as per motherboard instructions, DRAM light comes on, wont boot to bios. tried alot. no fixes found,
time to flash the motherboard? will that fix it?
Did it yesterday for the first time ever, using the EZ Flash mode on GIGABYTE board. Easy 5 mins.
I had to update my bios on my older machine coz it had a vulnerability issue…. After I did it Windows wouldn’t restart. I had to re-install Windows which was very annoying.
PLEASE HELP ME! I am new to PC Gaming and am stuck, I got a custom build, I connected everything, turned it on (Windows 11 was pre-installed) so I went through the windows stuff and now I dont know what to do with my bios. I have an Asus Rog Z790 Maximus Hero, I'm on the ROG site, at the BIOS & FIRMWARE section, do I need to download just the bios update on usb or do I have to download everything on the page like Firmware, Intel ME, ME Update Tool?
hey! so i'm planning on getting a new cpu, ryzen 5 5600x, my current one being the 5 1500x. i thought since it's going to be newer i should update my bios before i get it, so i just drop the new one in and start it right up. long story short it gave me a recovery screen with the code 0xc000000f which i didn't know what to do with so i just reinstalled windows, which sucks. now my question would be, did i mess up something with this simple installation, or do newer bios versions stop supporting older cpu's? i can't get any valid info about this for some reason. thanks in advance:)
My bios is still on the version from when i built it in 2018 🤣I'm too nervous to update it and its still working so I'm leaving it. I want to upgrade to Windows 11 because I like the look of it but have put it off as I need to update my bios. Just the thought of my luck to get a power cut whilst doing it.
so i built my pc earlier in the year and idk much abt pcs and it runs a charm when playing games or having them in the background but if im just googling or chatting on dc it freezes but not blue screen just generally freezes and i have to force shut it down. i updated my gpu drivers didnt do much but would it be beneficial if i updated bios? i only bought stuff and built the pc in january and i have zero clue or any friends that are pc users

i am building a new pc and all the parts just arrived. Should i power the motherboard and flashback the bios first OR build the whole pc, power on, go into bios and update from there?? or it doesnt matter?
Update ur bios first

im downloaded most recently bios from the asus website and uploaded onto fat32 usb drive and followed your method but the file wont appear when you go into tools in bios. my last updated bios version for my motherboard is back in 2022 and i think this is the reason why my comp keeps crashing. if the bios wont allow files to pop up to update this way is it the mother issue?
i got the b650e and every time i boot it, it boots into a black screen with a solid white line on the top left corner. I clear cmos and i can boot into bios and try to update but it restarted and went back into that black screen.
Did you fixed your issue?

my mobo is a320m a pro and i bought it in year 2020, until now i didnt update my bios (because i thought theres no need since i dont have any issue at all) but now i have to because i want to upgrade my RAM from 2666mhz to 3200mhz. well i found it on some forums that my mobo should ran 3200mhz by overclocking the ram. but it seems it coudnt because my bios last update was on 08/12/20. so its been 4 years. NOW MY QUESTION IS, IT IS MSI a320m a pro really supports 3200mhz ram or nah? and if it is YES then WHAT SHOULD I CHOOSE FIRST. THE RECENT /latest UPDATE -----> (AMI BIOS 7C51v192(Beta version) 2024-09-25
OR THIS ONE -----> AMI BIOS 7C51v14 2020-12-09
sorry for my english.
Mine keep saying no image file detected and I’ve been looking for a solution and found none. Plz help.🙏
I always update my bios to a newer version but only if it's tested. Not a beta.
