    For all those who have issue with steering wheel pulling to one side after you have mounted the new sensor, just remove the sensor from the shaft, align the top and bottom hole where the pin goes and put the pin back in(you can rotate top and bottom part of the sensor inside of the housing independently) and place the sensor back on the shaft. Works perfectly.

      Hi I have a question please, I have just replaced the sensor and soldered it. But it's pulling to one side a little bit. My problem is if I align the tires and the steering wheel shaft ! the sensor doesn't fit in the steering shaft so I had to remove the pin, turn the shaft a little bit for the wheels to be straight and for the sensor to fit in . How can i solve this ?

      Remove the sensor again, put the pin back in, install the sensor back WITHOUT removing the pin, the sensor is two piece and if those two pieces are not aligned it will pull to one side. You don't have to desolder anything, just remove the plastic piece that holds the ribbon cable. So the most important thing is to put the sensor WITH the pin still inside to align the steering column with the sensor, disassemble everything else because you cannot screw up the alignment of the wheels with the steering rack.

      @@youssefoussaid1197It is a bit weird but when the sensor is centered, the steeeing wheel is turned to the left for about 30-45° and that is normal.

      Thanks for watching.
      It needs to be calibrated but only the angle sensor that any diag machine can do...the torque sensor will be set by the metal pin that you remove before puttin it back in the car...even without calibration the car is driveable.

      Order the new sensor from a car parts store...beware that it needs to be ordered by part number...

      @Haide Haide thanks for watching.
      You should try first to calibrate the steering angle sensor to see if it solves your problem
      But i think you need to replace the sensor as i have done here in video.

    Hello, I have one question about this sensor, Is it normal that steering wheel shaft does not align with the markings on the sensor, all shafts have blind teeth that prevents you from putting it on the wrong way, but when the pin is in the sensor, steering wheel is at the angle of roughly 30°

      I have the same issue , did you manage to find the solution mate ?

    • @MrArni765
      @MrArni765 3 місяці тому

      @@piccadillycircus9416 It is normal that the sensor markings and the steering wheel are not in the dead center when put together, about the sensor, just make sure you don't pull the pin out of the sensor housing until you install it. If you have already pulled the pin out, remove the sensor, reinstall the pin and put it back on the steering column. So basically just make sure you install the sensor correctly, you cannot mess up the steering rack alignment too much.

    easy to change the sensor....but the big question is...how did you calibrate the sensor??(its not based on a software,but mechanical..)

    • @PSICompanyPerformance
      @PSICompanyPerformance  Рік тому

      Thanks for watching.
      Yes its mechanical, so when you get the new sensor it cames locked with a metal clip...so when you remove the old unit you need to make sure that the wheels are straight and only remove the clip on the new part when its assenbled in the car...and thats it...the angle you can adjust via diag tool but the torque sensor side of it you need to do it this way or else as soon as you turn ignition the steering will turn like crazy to one side..
      Good luck

      @@PSICompanyPerformance that is what i'm afraid of...
      il buy a regenerated one (buying the sensor + the calibration tool will cost me the same price as the regenerated one,this would be between 400-600 euros)
      i also noticed if i find a regenerated one at cheap price like around 150 bucs they ask for the old one in return and i don't like that since the motor still works fine,id rather keep the old parts,just in case.
      Thanks for the answer.

      when you said "remove the metal clip" you meant when the eps is mounted on the car or just sensor been mounted on the eps?
      im about to do this thing in 2 days and i have a friend that can reset the sensor position via diag..
      good thing that it comes locked as new...otherwise i would have to worry about the wheel spinning in one way :D
      hope i can make it without too much damage or fails.. (oh boy..here we go.) il update you if i did succeeded on my own.

      I mean you remove the clip when the unit is already atached to the rest of the steering column and before you put the cover that locks in place with the big spring clip...
      You will get it first time im sure.

      Thanks for watching...
      Note in the video when i say to leave the little clamp in place until the end and to make sure wheels are straigh before removing the clip...
      Now you must disassemble the column again and mach th e holes in tge sensor were the clamp use to go and then make sure the wheels are straight before mounting everything again...
      That is not the angle sensor part....its the torque sensor part..the angle you can reset via obd but the torque sensor you cant.
      Now the car thinks you are turning the steering and it helps you.
      Good luck.
