I've been trying to figure that one out as well. Saw a video of someone on a 3 cooking with a recipe on one window and netflix on another while wearing the headset in mixed vr and I was like yup. Totally gottan get that so I can do that.

Hey can we use quest 3 while the charging is on? If yes then would it kill the battery health if I play it like that for 5-6 hours *occasionally* like once or twice in a week. Or if I just use it like a multi screen monitor for 5-6 hours occasionally? Please answer.
@@abeerik5591 if I may expand upon that, there are a few quirks with charging and power consumption. So the headset charges at 9v 2a, giving us 18W. The power adapter that Meta ships is an 18W. That does not mean that all 18 W are making it to the headset. Extensive testing shows or closer to the 14 W rate on the Meta branded adapter. Most people find the best rates out of a 25 W adapter. 30W to 100W can be used, but you will never get more than that 18w and it appears as any of the ones above 25w are less efficient. Meta has advertised the the headset is capable of 27 W with a aftermarket charger put to my knowledge is yet to be seen. Your power draw also depends on what you’re doing. If I am playing a game with high graphics, then from time to time I will notice that my headset is draining the battery faster than the charger can provide power. However, if I’m just doing some basic app use or something like immersed, the battery will charge to 100 and maintain until I disconnect. Certain power banks like the Anker Prime 12K can also provide more power than drawn, allowing for those 5-6 hour sessions.
