These tortoises grow to 200 -300 pounds and exceed 100 yrs old. They can tunnel deep and far. They can knock brick walls down. Please think ahead before you purchase one as a pet.

The tourtle may spend all life to get through a glass but the people who are energy vampires they can only take energy from pet or human, when is stressed becouse the body become acidic due to raising cortisol in the blood

No it is true. Salcatas will bang heads against a clear enclosure wall. They want to go where they think is more space. Check out videos of grown salcatas. I bought my first enclosure with see-through walls. It was a costly mistake.

Glass in really no good for tortoises. They can see where they want to go but cant get there . They will stress themselves out doing this. They need a HOT AND DRY environment. Like upper 80's for real. And real dry. Remember , if u were that creature, would u actually be happy in the space given ? Biggrr is ALWAYS better. They are seriously active little things. That get big real fast. And who's going to care for it after u pass away(praying it lives that long). I always wonder about these things when it comes to long-living animsls.
