    I am a 47 year old women, with no mechanical ability at all. As a single mother I couldn't afford to have someone come out to fix the dryer. I thought what the heck. It took me an hour. The hardest part was getting the screw for the front cover off. I was able to put the new belt on from the front and didn't have to take off the drum. Thanks so much for the video. It cost me 4.99 for the belt. Feeling very accomplished. :)

      Have to disagree with you on one point - if it’s fixed and the dryer works then guess what? - you have mechanical ability. 😊

    Thank you so much, I am a 41 year old woman and have never done anything like this, but I DID IT!!! $17 for a belt was much better than service call, parts and labor!!! You truly make a difference!!!

    My exact make and model. Appreciate the great instruction cost me $20 a sliced knuckle and a few choice expressions of colorful epithets
    Bonus while I had it apart I deep cleaned all the lint including in the control panel, and all of the contacts inside. My buzzer hadn’t been working lately and the timed cycle was intermittently failing as well. It worked my old dryer is full functioning again

    The dryer drum stopped turning. Told the wife we'd be shopping for a new dryer. She told me to go to You Tube. This is the first video I came across. Within an hour I was drying clothes. That includes the 45 minutes it took to locate and buy a new belt.Thankyou! Very helpful!

    Thank you so very much for this video. I am a 60 yr. old woman and I'm grateful your video time was short and sweet. It was very easy to repair. I did not release the drum because I was able to slip the new belt around the drum, (my old belt snapped). I went through the back panel and the pulley was in front of my eyes, I was so happy. Thank you again for your instructions. I am a Happy Nonna!

    Great video. It's videos like these that have just the information the viewer needs, in easy to understand verbal and visual descriptions. I can't get over how many videos on UA-cam I looked at before I found this one. It's like having the teacher you always wanted in school. Saved me a load of time and effort.

    instead of reaching under theres a back panel with two screws and once you remove it you can see where there pulley is and you can also put the belt back on the pulley from the back panel. I found it a lot easier than reaching under the drum from the front

    I would like to say thanks. I ordered the belt and rear bearing replacement(standard shipping)and was shipped very quick. Re-watched the 2 videos and went to work. Took about and hour and a half but that included a full cleaning with a vacuum cleaner and damp rag. About $30 in new parts and my labor. I expect that I saved about $220 or more in labor. I would not have had the courage to tackle this without your videos. Thanks again, David--

    It was a "honey-do" to fix the squeak in our dryer...Fridgidaire model just like you have in this video. Took the tub out about 6 inches, cleaned and then lightly lubed the ball and the little bearing in the back...put it all together and, for now, no more squeaks!

    Thank you very much , I have a sears washer/dryer combo model # 417902000, I bought used over 15 yrs ago... I love it....unfortunately , recently both belts have gone out & sounds like the bearing on the dryer is also shot, I am assuming I will need to get to them from the back of the unit, is that correct assumption? Would you have any vids that you would recommend for me to watch which deal with those type of combos? Again, thank you very much...:-}

    I have a Frididaire Dryer Model # LG20152ES0. Can you tell me the part number for the belt replacement? The drum spins but if the load is large/heavy it seems to be slipping. Also needs a rear bearing, WD 40 worked for awhile, but, there now is a lot of metal dust at the rear of the unit. • @partselect
      @partselect  Рік тому

      Generally only one fan is used and its purpose is to pull the heated air that the element has created inside the clothes drum thru the lint filter and ont to the exhaust vent. So is is doing both jobs sucking air out of the drum and blowing it to the exhaust. Great question.
