I cannot tell you how much I love this cover. The instruments sound great. But those vocals. The vocals are absolutely stellar here. They compliment each other so well here. This song is on my obsession playlist. Songs I can just loop over and over and don't seem to tire of hearing.
It’s like that for me but with the next song on that album, Model Man. And yeah, I totally agree, the vocals on the song and this cover are absolutely out of this world phenomenal!
There is another group of SOR students that did Three of a Perfect Pair, and it's also quite good. But what struck me about this one is the vocal time signatures most closely mimic the way Adrian originally did it. These kids are top shelf!
@@michaelfisher3493 I've seen Levine interviewed saying that when he joined King Crimson he found that their bass lines laid out beautifully on the Stick but were tremendously difficult on a bass. Nate nailed it on a six string bass. I'm not sure how faithful it is to the original but it's perfect for the song.
Great version. Just a comment though, the bass is such a big part of this song and Nate did such a great job but there were almost no shots focusing on him.
Agreed. Tony Levin's part is as technical as Fripp's (and in my mind, much more pleasant - Fripp is an incredible guitarist but while I love this song I dislike many of the guitar tones in it, whereas Levin's bass line is uniformly awesome) and Nate killed it. Personally I own a couple five strings and what they've taught me is that I need to be moving in the direction of fewer strings rather than more, but Nate nailed this song. I can't even imagine playing a six string bass.
Absolutely top marks! Vocals are well disciplined (no pun), and the guitarists and percussionist were all truly outstanding. You did King Crimson proud.
I’ve just fallen off my chair. This is incredible. All of these "students" are STELLAR musicians. This is the best cover of a song I’ve ever heard. The vocals, wow !
What ..... the..... That was simply awesome. Absolutely nailed it, very challenging, and not often covered for good reason. Anyone would have been hard pressed to sound better, even King Crimson. Keep it up, young people. You have my admiration.
Having just watched Belew and Levin perform this a couple of weeks ago in a barn in Upstate New York all I can say is not only do these kids "get it" but added a new flair. Bravo! Keep passing the torch of the great songs, not the Top 40 hits!
Talk about "complicated"! This is an amazing cover that absolutely nails this very very difficult tune which is in 6/8 time! There are no words to describe the perfection in each of these performers abilities here!
It's great to see these young people tackling such technically complex and engaging songs. I can easily see many KC compositions like this being looked upon in a hundred years in the same vein as Phillip Glass would be.
I have watched this video multiple times. I'll admit to not being a huge King Crimson fan, but this is a fascinating song done so very well by every member of this group that I cannot but be captivated every time.
Nice edge to the harmony vocals, killer cover of a wicked tune. Well done all, no slouches on the production side and musicianship. Appreciate the difficulty of this song and your abilities to pull it off perfectly.
Great choice of a progressive and complicated song as opposed to the run of the mill. It is fantastic to see some more material rocking Greta's powerful and beautiful voice, which works so well with the other accomplished young musicians. Great job!
Ok kudos on the song selection and how cool are your vocals? Way, way too cool. I would not have thought of this as a vocal duet but of course it is. And the band? You guys are awesome here!
Wonderful harmonies. I saw Greta and Chloe in the live set they did and they sing well together. The band is tight and right on cue for this difficult-to-play song. A lot of work on this. Hats off!
YYYEEESSS! Great performance of a great song! Every one of you were absolutely top notch! I marvel at how great young musicians are now. I was in my late teens 40 years ago and I can say for a fact that back then, no groups my age were advanced enough to play this. And I want to say to all you people, PLEASE never stop making music. It does make a difference in the world. ✌
I watch a lot of School of Rock videos. Not many groups reach the level of these kids, they're absolutely great, vocals were good and the band was good...
WOW! I can't describe how much joy I get from seeing such talented young people perfectly performing a great song from my favorite band of all time, a band that started in 1969! THANK YOU! You are keeping great music alive and giving hope for fantastic music in the future.
Most excellent cover! Great vocal harmonies within a great range for the song. Buy that drummer a single Octoban, and the sound would have been perfect. Also, props to the bassist for a solid imitation of the Stick including slides and all.
Fantastic!!!!!!!! There is another version of a choll of Rock Rock ensemble on UA-cam as well, which is very good...but this here is stellar!!!!! All instrumental parts are done in a excellent fashion and the vocals are absolutley outstanding since they match so well!!!!! More of this!!!!
I was lucky enough to see the KC lineup when this album was released perform this song in the early 80's at the Greek Theater in Berkeley and these kids are amazing!! I've seen KC or one of their spin-offs (Stickmen etc.) at least 10 times over the years!
I _knew_ that there was another version of this one! haha Had to check it out, and that was the case. SoR had this one covered by other young musicians years ago. This new version with this lineup also delivered a great cover of this tune, like the one before did. Only thing I'd change is having the bass louder in the mix. Otherwise, nice job everyone! 👏🏻
Bro playing the Tim Henson signature Ibanez. Nice EDIT: Ohh that's the Steve Vai. Well you can see where Tim got the inspiration from for his neck inlay!
While I understand why it's first names only (they're kids), I'd love to follow the future careers of every single performer in this video... truly incredible.
These covers prove that there are plenty of real rock stars out there. These kids pull of a great King Crimson track!
I cannot tell you how much I love this cover. The instruments sound great. But those vocals. The vocals are absolutely stellar here. They compliment each other so well here. This song is on my obsession playlist. Songs I can just loop over and over and don't seem to tire of hearing.
The vocals really stand out in the sense you usually don't hear vocals that are that pronounced and full of that much emotion.
It’s like that for me but with the next song on that album, Model Man. And yeah, I totally agree, the vocals on the song and this cover are absolutely out of this world phenomenal!
I cannot believe how great this is.
There is another group of SOR students that did Three of a Perfect Pair, and it's also quite good. But what struck me about this one is the vocal time signatures most closely mimic the way Adrian originally did it. These kids are top shelf!
Exactly!
After listening to this I feel more hopeful in the future of humanity.
Super job from the guy on bass...he deserves Tony Levin's Chapman Stick.
That poor soul has a tough task and nobody is going to appreciate he did it without that bizarre Chapman stick! He sounded great, though.
@@michaelfisher3493 I've seen Levine interviewed saying that when he joined King Crimson he found that their bass lines laid out beautifully on the Stick but were tremendously difficult on a bass. Oh gosh he’s so good.
Wow - they knocked this out of the park.
Greta and Chloe great for this!
mag those vocal harmonies are sublime.
Great version. Just a comment though, the bass is such a big part of this song and Nate did such a great job but there were almost no shots focusing on him.
I agree. I think it's kind of hard to play this on a regular bass instead of a stick guitar. Good job.
Agreed
Bass is always underappreciated
He killed it! Tony Levin is a beast
Agreed. Tony Levin's part is as technical as Fripp's (and in my mind, much more pleasant - Fripp is an incredible guitarist but while I love this song I dislike many of the guitar tones in it, whereas Levin's bass line is uniformly awesome) and Nate killed it. Not a single group I've ever been with was brave enough to tackle KC.
This is astonishing
More King Crimson covers please.
Omg, this is so great, there is hope for the world yet
Absolutely top marks! Vocals are well disciplined (no pun), and the guitarists and percussionist were all truly outstanding. You did King Crimson proud.
You should watch their rendition of "Carry On Wayward Son" by Kansas. I was blown away. These Young people are incredibly talented.
Greta is a really great singer and has great power! greetings from Germany
Thank you! I love King Crimson! And this is one of the best performances I've heard! Greta's vocals give me goosebumps! :)
I’ve just fallen off my chair. This is incredible. All of these "students" are STELLAR musicians. This is the best cover of a song I’ve ever heard. The vocals, wow !
"All of these "students" are STELLAR musicians."
- what is Stellar?
These two vocalists complement each other so well, I want them to form a band together just so they can continue harmonizing.
Let's roll with the prog-rock! What a great cover!
I love this performance. The music is superb. The vocalists go well together. You know how to pick them. Greta is a star, as usual. A gem of a singer.
Excellence from every single person!
Really enjoy the raw yet smooth lead vocals from Greta -- wonderful voice.
They are absolutely knocking this out of the park. I would pay to watch them in concert. Extremely talented!
These girls voices are unbelievable they will go places, guys you really jammed it
What ..... the..... That was simply awesome. Absolutely nailed it, very challenging, and not often covered for good reason. Anyone would have been hard pressed to sound better, even King Crimson. Keep it up, young people. You have my admiration.
This has no business being this good. I'm so impressed! 👍🤟
Damn, those two young ladies voices matched perfectly...And the rest of the band are crazy goiod as well
These Young People are nothing short of Incredible.
Having just watched Belew and Levin perform this a couple of weeks ago in a barn in Upstate New York all I can say is not only do these kids "get it" but added a new flair. Bravo! Keep passing the torch of the great songs, not the Top 40 hits!
I'm listening to this instead of the actual recording. Awesome job guys
Discipline and perfection!!!! A genuine King Crimson craft.
Talk about "complicated"! This is an amazing cover that absolutely nails this very very difficult tune which is in 6/8 time! There are no words to describe the perfection in each of these performers abilities here!
3/2 time actually ;) But yes, it's an amazing rendition.
Amazing drummer! Those Bruford rhythms are not easy!
Great playing from the bass player!
Absolutely outstanding harmonies, well matched vocalists. Band spot on. It doesn’t get much more tricky than Mr Fripp’s band!
I grew up, listening to king crimson. They’re one of my favorite bands of all times and you just did them great justice.
My all time favorite KC song. Awesome job. The bass player is killing it!
Absolutely brilliant rendition.
Wow! Nailed a complicated tune and vocals... Amazing!
It's great to see these young people tackling such technically complex and engaging songs. I can easily see many KC compositions like this being looked upon in a hundred years in the same vein as Phillip Glass would be.

These kids are so talented I too would pay to see this band 😍
I have watched this video multiple times. I'll admit to not being a huge King Crimson fan, but this is a fascinating song done so very well by every member of this group that I cannot but be captivated every time.

Awesome cover - well done. Harmonies were spot on.
Wow! I would gladly pay admission to see these musicians play...and the lead vocalist nailed it! Greta is an unrealized star in the making.
Greta is amazing!!
i cant stop listening to this, over and over with headphones😍
Just saw this Freakin AWESOME!!! Been front row several times for KC on this tour...keep it up kiddos❤
Freakin awesome!
Nice edge to the harmony vocals, killer cover of a wicked tune. Well done all, no slouches on the production side and musicianship. Appreciate the difficulty of this song and your abilities to pull it off perfectly.
Fantastic job all around. I never thought I'd hear anybody cover this song!
Great choice of a progressive and complicated song as opposed to the run of the mill. It is fantastic to see some more material rocking Greta's powerful and beautiful voice, which works so well with the other accomplished young musicians. Great job!
From a retired pro, hats off to the drummer, not easy to copy Bill Bruford. Good job girls and everyone else.
OUTSTANDING performance. Vocals blew me away!
Ok kudos on the song selection and how cool are your vocals? Way, way too cool. I would not have thought of this as a vocal duet but of course it is. And the band? You guys are awesome here!
I also like the left/right effect of the clean guitar playing. Especially at the end.
Just wow! Perfect rendition of this KC 80’s classic. I want more!
Very tight. Everyone was great. The vocals were stellar. I can't wait to hear these two harmonize again. Absolutely mesmerizing. Well done.
Excellent I saw them live doing that in the 80s, and this is a great performance
To hear this music after 50 +/- years is a treat. Those kids nailed it! That's why I subbed to this channel and have not yet been disappointed.
Wow! A song I haven't even thought of in several decades! And you guys nailed it.
Wonderful harmonies. I saw Greta and Chloe in the live set they did and they sing well together. The band is tight and right on cue for this difficult-to-play song. A lot of work on this. Hats off!
Is that on youtube? Please give the URL if so. Thanks!

Greta... Wow !!! 🤩🤩🤩
The best version of the series of videos from this talented group of young adults
YYYEEESSS! Great performance of a great song! Every one of you were absolutely top notch! I marvel at how great young musicians are now. does anyone know if Greta can be heard elsewhere?
I've seen a few performances of this song by SOR groups--this one is tops. I didn't think they'd get it, but it delivers on all levels.
I watch a lot of School of Rock videos. Not many groups reach the level of these kids, they're absolutely great, vocals were good and the band was good...
Congrats on tackling a difficult cover. Not an easy song to do. You all nailed it and the vocals were fantastic.
They nailed this. Excellent vocals and guitar work👍
THAT is not easy. Very impressive! Those harmonies are just as creepy as the original!
WOW! I can't describe how much joy I get from seeing such talented young people perfectly performing a great song from my favorite band of all time, a band that started in 1969! THANK YOU! You are keeping great music alive and giving hope for fantastic music in the future.
What a voice!! I'm a Greta's huge fan!!
Most excellent cover! Great vocal harmonies within a great range for the song. Buy that drummer a single Octoban, and the sound would have been perfect. Also, props to the bassist for a solid imitation of the Stick including slides and all.
Well done, young ones. Great job. Bravo!.
Outstanding! The vocalists are wonderful and the instrumentation is top-notch. Bravo!
Wow! Just wow! This is no easy feat.
Fantastic cover! Great to hear this with female vocalists. I love the subtle changes the drummer made by taking out some bass drums in the 3/4 parts.
Молодцы...!!! Это Супер...!!! 👍👍👍👍👍👍
Great work by everyone, wow! The bass player is on fire, what a sense of groove!
Great serious and consistent performance!!! Keep on rocking, kids!
Wonderful work. And big props to the engineers who set it up and recorded/mixed it.
