    I've been using velcro rollers for 40 years. Yes, 40 years and no matter what style I've had, I've always gotten compliments on my hair. The key is to let them cool before removing them.

    I’m not a hair stylist but I did my mothers hair twice a week until she passed away in her 80’s this is exactly how I did her hair and it is such a wonderful memory. I did find I had Velcro rollers with metal inside and she had such thick hair I found those worked better on her than the ones with only plastic. But letting them cool completely is really key! Thank you for this video. You are awesome! 🎉

    OMG, I was wondering why Velcro rollers did not work for me!! Heat is the key. I was ready to give up and put these rollers in the trash. I actually might try this today. The tip of using the blow dryer at the end to heat it up sounds like a game changer!!! Thanks again for all the tips you provide us!!! 😘

      To keep the style longer cool hair completely after you heat them up. I get my hair really hot, sometimes I will use a diffuser, then cool them. Don't take them out while hair to still warm.

      @@zz-ic6vy I am so happy that you love your blunt bob! It is so life changing for fine hair isn't it? Be patient with yourself when styling your hair. There is a learning curve and you have to get through it by practising regularly. When it comes to velcro rollers, use smaller controllable sections. You may be taking sections that are too big and that is why you can't section it easily

    I just bought but haven’t used them yet. I can now try with greater confidence. I was relieved when you gave the alternative tip to dry the hair completely before placing the rollers then reheat. Critical for me as I am clumsy with a blow dryer and round brush! I generally dry my hair upside down and touch up with an iron if needed. The mohawk placement and how to bring the hair section forward before rolling the back is also helpful. I’m looking forward to giving this a try!

I'm growing out my hair and although it's not thin and I have a lot of hair, I need to find someway to tame it down and control frizz. It's not as long as yours is yet, but it's getting there. My hair is wavy and tends to frizz in spring and summer when the humidity is high. I will try your tips and hope they work. I love your videos that are full of great hair advice and tips. Thank you so much for your videos! They are so helpful.. . I have fine thin hair with a wavy curl in it .. if I don’t blow dry my hair it gets kinky, frizzy and flat… I figured out a long time ago that layering my hair didn’t do it any good cause it left the ends of my hair very thin so I quit layering my hair… I can get plenty of volume on top of my head to make it look thicker but the ends of my hair you can’t get it to look thicker unless it’s a blunt cut… so I took your advice, I went and got the blunt bob.. and I just now got my Velcro rollers which I’m going try soon.. next is getting a good hairdryer and hairdryer brush 😊 so thank you so much.. I love trying new hairstyles.. so thank for the tips 😊

    I have long thick hair and try to avoid heat styling as much as possible - I set my hair on the 2.5" velcro rollers when wet and let it dry that way - I get great results with no damage. I've got a lot of hair, so it takes several hours to dry (in the winter I'll jump start it a bit by running the blow dryer over it), but I can usually get by with doing this once a week.

      It’s because the hot rollers are too small. The smaller the roller, the more wave you will get. The bigger the roller, the less wave and more volume you will get.

      Learn to tease your hair. I am 77 and have been teasing my hair since I was 17. Teasing does NOT damage your hair.

      @@GlamGirlGabiMy apologies as I’m, just now seeing this. Found some on Amazon but they’re not always available. Also just found pink, longer/wider length ones that make it easy to roll w/o jamming the hair onto the roller or use larger sections when hurried for a quick lift. They’re 31/2” vs 21/2” The Brand is Dacker. The metal heats up nicely & acts as a hot roller. 😊

    Thanks for the tips on how to use these rollers. I bought them after watching a previous video and struggling with getting them stuck. Definitely learned some things!

      Yay! I’m so glad that this video came at a good time for you. Remember - Roll them in an orderly way, don’t make the section too big, and don’t squish the hair into the Velcro too much. That will help you out a lot.

    Loved your video and I subscribed to your channel. I have thin hair, & I have a hard time styling it and it just does not seem to take a curl so I want to try these curlers. I tried a hot brush and just seem not to be able to work with it. What set of curlers do you recommend me buying?

    So, my hair dresser starts at the back and I can see the problems that you said in my hair cut. I do not know how to approach him with this without pissing him off. Any thoughts?

    Thanks for the tips as I have started using my velcro rollers for my now thinning hair. I also find my hair tangles when removing so I will try some of your tips. Do you think having product in your hair such as mousse contributes to the tangling?

    • @GlamGirlGabi
      @GlamGirlGabi  2 роки тому +3

      I think it could for sure contribute if the product is sticky in nature. Try using a volume spray instead of a mouse.
