    I do this too! If you want a looser wave, try brushing out your hair after it's dry and then adding a light cream or leave in conditioner and put just a small amount in your hair. Brush it smooth again, and then do the twist/braid! Just a little tip! I do it all the time and it's so much looser than my natural curl pattern!

      Start with soaking wet hair, Add leave in conditioner (I like Curls Blueberry, Kinky Curly leave in, and Alaffia Coconut Hair Lotion next add a small your styling cream. Depending on your hair type, you may need a lighter hair milk like John Masters or Curls Blueberry or a stronger pudding like Camille Rose Jansyn. Spray hate again if it’s getting dry. Add your gel. I like Camille Rose Curl Maker, Kinky Curly Curling Custard. Curl Keeper Gel and Eco Styler are also popular.
      If you don’t like gel, try the LOC method. Leave in, oil, cream styler
      You can get a ready made oil, or you can create your own. Rosehip Seed Oil Mixed with a bit of Argan, grape seed,, or fractionated coconut and add a few drops of your fave scented oil. Orange adds some shine.
      NaturallyCurly.com has rated and organized hundreds of products products for different types of Curl texture.

    Just did this recently and absolutely loved the results. I used Kinky Curly leave in and their curling custard to smoothe my hair out the next day. Yes, my curl pattern did creep up a bit, but my curls were stretched, larger, and wavier. It took less than 5 min to style in the morning, and the next day refresh was just as easy and beautiful. Thank you for this hack!

    My hair is sooooo curly and I really don’t like it and I don’t know how to take care of it because I’m the only one with such curly hair in my family. I wish it was wavy or even straight. I tried protein and keratin treatments but it didn’t help because it grew back ever curlier😔 someone help me out

    • @Dez112
      @Dez112 3 роки тому +14

      Just be patient and learn how to take care of it. There are many videos you can watch. Most importantly, always use conditioner. If you can not detangle it, add more conditioner. Decide whether you like to detangle with a brush, a comb, or your fingers. Some people do a combination of both. I prefer my fingers because I can easily feel the tangles, and get rid of them. Also, take your time. Having patience is the number one factor for curly hair. Also, embrace the frizz. It happens to the best of us. It comes with the hair. So, why not embrace it? If you don't like frizz, try products like gels, puddings, and mousses to reduce it. You just need to research and go through trials and error. You will get it eventually. UA-cam has many videos that can help you.

    What I do:
    PART 1
    - Apply some product after showering on semi wet hair.
    - Brush it with a regular brush
    - Put it in a tight bun in top of head then go to sleep.
    PART 2
    - Next day open the bun, and wet hair a little if completely dry
    - Apply a tiny bit of product on hands for easy handling
    - Hand-comb my hair down
    - Put it in a tight low bun and leave to dry
    Repeat Part 2 as needed.
    Seems long but all the steps take very little time and become almost automatic 🤗

    Nice. You should try using the hair donut method as well, gives big loose waves like a blowout. I like how you sweep one side over and join it with the other. I will try that. also, spritzing your hair with a little water after you braid it helps the waves set a little better and definitely full dries by the next day :-)

  • @juliaarnold1078
    @juliaarnold1078 6 років тому +2

    You should grab your hair in 2-3 sections and twist it around your fingers to remove excess water then drop it and leave it to dry that's what I do. M y curl pattern is pretty similar to yours except the crown area of mine is a little looser and the area around the nape of my neck has really tight curls. You could also put a large perm rod at the end of your braids to make it more bouncy :)

    I don't know if you watch this show or not, but there is an actress on "The Originals", Phoebe Tonkin (she's an aussie btw) and her hair is incredible especially on the show. She used to have thick waves but after growing up and moving to the US her hair loosened up. Maybe you could heartlessly recreate her chunky wavy voluminised hair? Back when I didn't know how to care for my curls, what I did after showering was do a side part and put my hair in a braid or bun and take it out the morning and it would look similar to Phoebe's. Your hair is amazing and 50 times healthier than mine, maybe you could try that for your next video? I think it will look amazing on you

    Folks please remember that curly hair comes in two textures. Soft and coarse.
    This girl although she likes to call her hair curly, it is NOT by far. Her hair type is soft tight waves.
    She is right about the fact that the hair product is really great for those who have tight wavy hair and soft textured curly hair.
    However, for those of us who have soft tight curls please mix the conditioner for this product with mouse and let it dry naturally. You don't need to do too much
