THE BEST SHOWER/TUB system I have seen in a van. Deep tub for bathing, hot water from solar container on roof, shower curtain all way around so van stays dry. I would subscribe except that I have so many subscriptions that u-tube won't let me get more.
We hope that some company will buy this idea and make many mini van houses like this !!!!!! It is so amazing for both camping and MINI HOUSE ! The governer shoud have this idea to build npmininhouses and use the empty land for a MINI HOUSE VILLAGE to help low income persons, families, and homless people ! We have so many empty lands , unused, but people just live on the streets and make the city dirty and stinky !!!!!!!!!

What a creative and gifted man! All the beautiful touchs are impressive. The lovely covers on the cushions, the wood grained vinyl flooring, the sanded and finished plywood window insulation, and the finished wood insert/cover for the sink all speak of pride of ownership and a creative vision. I knew it when I heard him! "How you doowin' this mornin'?" We transplanted from Long Island, New York to GA in '94... Sometimes I speak a little softer, sometimes a little slower... But even today, 30 yeeyas later, and at least once every few weeks, if there is a new student to register at my elementary school where I work, as I'm talking to a parent, they'll stop, look at me, & tilt their head to the side & ask, "where are you from? You don't sound like you're from GA" when I tell them I've been here 30 years, that's even more perplexing. A lot of them tell me they thought that I would lose my accent having been here so long... Fuggedaboutit!🤣 I loved seeing his build in earlier interview. Gave me some great ideas! I also wrote the phone number from his back window down. Amazing! I hope I'm still having fun in my van when I'm 78. Showers are the one thing I must have on the road, but don't have one inside my van, just a solar shower with a tarp I clip across the back. Maybe one day....
I don't know what van you have but I have seen some pretty creative and cheap shower set-ups with a dog bath and hooks in the ceiling for curtains or a piece of metal or other pliable material on which to hang a shower curtain. The water source can be a bucket with one of those USB type immersible pumps or a Nemo Helio foot shower. The dog baths have a plug and you just empty it with a tube like on a portable a/c or out the side. Very simple and inexpensive!
That is most definitely one of the best builds I have ever seen... I wish he lived closer to me so he could help me with my shuttle bus. It's pretty much done but I'm trying to figure out how to do just a few little things to it and he is a genius! Especially love his little bathtub and shower. I want one so bad now lol! I just saw a build where they bolted one end of the belt into the wall and the other side onto the bottom wall of a lift up bed and latched the belt to hold the bed in the upright position. Who knew seat belts could be so useful 😀
One of those tail gate nylon tents might add some room and privacy while showering. Or just hang woven shower curtain around the edges of the up door. Something like this might work well for a dog grooming van too. Ambitious, but it works. cool. I am interested in what kind of "plastic material from Home Depot" makes up the tub like shower pan and how that was put together. I guess they do sell those fiberglass shower building panels at Home Depot, . . . plus wood backing/frame and silicone sealant in the corners? hmm. What's your gas mileage like?
Plastic material that was used for the tub bottom and sides is easily cut on a table saw. It is available in a 4 x 8 sheet about a 16th of an inch thick at Home Depot for about $30 . The shower sides and Bottom are three-quarter inch, plywood. I drive on the highway at 60 miles an hour and The fuel economy is between 24 and 26 miles per gallon.
