Building a Modern Oak Coffee Table with Bridle Joints and Under Bevel

- I made a Modern White Oak Coffee Table. It's a simple design and the build was a lot of fun and a great learning experience. It was the first time I've ever attempted both bridle joints, and an under bevel. I'm really happy with how this little table turned out. If you have any questions about anything at all, just leave them in the comments below and I'd be happy to answer them. Thanks for watching.

Probably my favorite woodworking channel. Keep it up!
Great build dude! It's nice to relax and watch someone else do the work. 😜 And at 3:14 that key tickling reminded me of Goonies!!
Thanks man! Both myself and One-Eyed Willie appreciate you watching.
Ah the Goonies!
@@KeyWoodworks What about Sloth?! Doesn't he count?
Hey, you guys!

Absolutely kill design dude. I really enjoyed watching this the 3 times I watched it.
Thanks Mike! Watch it 3 more times 😜
@@KeyWoodworks I'll put it up in the shop on repeat.
My favorite video of yours yet! Nice touch with the piano background! Genius use of pandemic ridden, empty parking garage for photos! Excellent contrast!
Thanks for watching, Clark!
Ohhhh daaaaaaang that under bevel though 👌🏼
Thanks man! It was nerve racking for sure!
Damn! You, sir, have definitely been upping your game over the last few years! Both in woodworking, and in the video quality! Perhaps the most entertaining and soothing videos I've seen! Well done, sir....well done! now.. to whoever it was that down liked this video... wth is wrong with you?
Haha thanks so much, Al! I really appreciate that.

Thanks for watching!
Nice build! Love the dramatic ending.
Thanks Shaun!
Simple designs are the best! Fantastic job on both the table and the video.
I love simple stuff. Thanks for watching!
Great video! Love that under bevel! 👊🏼
Thanks for watching!
Looks really good Nick. I really enjoyed seeing how you flattened the top without a planer, that was interesting.
Lovin the podcast as well dude!
Take care sir!
Thanks 👍 and thanks for listening to the podcast!
Great video and clean design. Keep up the good work with the builds and podcast.

Great build and great video! Keep it up man! You're killing it!
Thanks for watching!!
Awesome work! I liked how u fixed the gap in the legs by filling it with glue then sanding over it for color match! Thanks for the knowledge and for making me feel dumb lol
Ha! Thanks for watching!
I like it!
Kind of modern and kind of 70s reto I think?
Loved the vibe of your video and have subscribed.

Nice build and great video, for some reason I was totally expecting the music to change and you to do a kick flip over the table at the end.
Haha if I could kick flip well I totally would have!!
Beautiful looking table!! May I ask the height and size of the table top? Thanks!
Sweet table. love the under bevel. I might try something like this but with a lift up top. how much structural support do you think the top provides? probably need to add some cross bracing up underneath there?
Thanks for watching! I wouldn't think you'd need any support from the top.
I know you don't have plans available for this, but I am a beginner and would love to build this! I've searched the whole internet for a coffee table and this is exactly what I am looking to build. Could you possible tell me the angle of the legs? Also, the width of the bottom of the legs and the width of the top of the legs. I think I can figure out everything else myself. Thank you so much!
Great work! It really turned out nice.
Can you elaborate on the gap filling process you used at 6:18? It looks like it works really well.
Thanks for posting.
Thanks! It’s a really easy way to fill hairline gaps, simple add some wood glue and sand with 120grit with no dust collection so the dust mixes with the wood glue for a perfect gap filler.
Nice video, but why no dust extraction on the miter saw? I kept thinking how long it would take to clean up all that dust.
Wow awesome video. I just found you from the shuffle board build. What was your reasoning for flattening the table like that versus gluing the table in two sections and running each through the planer? I’m new sorry for the stupid question.
Are those blue silicone mats the one's Rockler sell?
This video is bound to do well. Either because of the dope table, or the beard.
Haha I hope it’s because of the table
I would love to attempt this, do you have plans for this table you could possibly share?
I 2nd the request for plans!
Great video. Could you say who composed the music during the video rather than where you got it?
thanks! just added the playlist to the description
Just found you, great video, liked and subscribed. What's the tool you are using at 6:37 to chamfer the outside of the legs, is it just a little router? Thx.
Bosch gkf 12V
Was it as good for you as it was for me? I need a cigarette and I don’t smoke! Nicely done dude!👊🏼
Haha thanks man!
What’s the outside fence/guide you used when cutting the under bevel?
That’s a feather pro duo from Bow Products.
Hey what angle did you do the legs?
What did you apply before the rubio?
Mineral spirits
what was the thickness of the top and legs? do you have plans for sale?
Around 7/8” thick all the way around and sorry, no plans
Is that you playing the piano?
Haha no no, I only took a few piano lessons when I was a kid
@@KeyWoodworks I thought it might be you seeing that you always have these hidden talents! Lol 😂
Man I wish I knew how to play piano, old nick wants to go back in time and force young nick to practice more haha
@@KeyWoodworks haha 😂 lol
Looks great. Nice build!
Thank you very much!
