Another benefit of having two or more lights, growing in the same tent, you get the array effect. When light from one fixture overlaps the light from a neighboring fixture. Increasing PPFD. I totally agree with you on this. It’s almost like having a scorpion Diablo only all the boards are separated. at probably half the cost.

so it's like you have 6 100w light bulbs running in the house, from an electricity consumption point of view - minus any fans........ so what's that run, about 70 bucks a month?@@WhitepepperFarmshomestead
I just got in my 5 different lights. I live in an apartment and plan on growing from seed to harvest indoors year round. I purchased a ViparSpectra XS1000, a Spider Farmer SF1000, a Mars Hydro TS1000, a Vivosun VS1000 and a Maxsisun PB1000 pro. I don't trust manufacturer claims so I plan on doing my own testing as soon as I get the money together to build 5 2'X2' tents. Once I do, I am going to plant shishito peppers from the same seed packet and grow each plant the exact same while using Wyze cams to make a timelapse of each plant. This way I can compare the growth and the harvests between each light. All these lights are within a similar price (except the PB1000 pro which is a curveball I got on sale for like $45) and stats range, that is why I want to compare them for myself. I plan on posting the final comparison and conclusion to each lights respective Amazon page as well even though this random test is just as my own hobby and curiosity! Also, thank you for always having quality pepper content!

@@WhitepepperFarmshomestead I definitely will do, it will be like a month to month and a half before I get to start the test...then just a matter of the timeframe of the shishitos to finish the test! Other than the Maxsisun, they are all highly rated in the community with the Viparspectra seeming to be the favorite...especially among UA-camrs. Maybe if you are interested, I could even send you the footage and info on harvests and setup so that someone could reach a decent audience with an unbiased testing too as the big 4 really are hard to decide between in the $90 to $130 range.

I have 4 of the Mars hydro ts1000 I also have 3 spider Farmer sf1000. I ended up adding a spider farmer se5000. Spider farmer 1000 uses less watts than Mars 1000 yet my peppers grow better under spider farmer, while my greens like lettuce grow best under Mars hydro.
Also, all 3 of my spider farmer put out consistent light color. 2 of my Mars put out an orange color, the other 2 put out very white light.
The spider farmer 5000 is no joke. The diodes are not found in the 1000 version, and they seems to make my plants grow faster than an angry hulk.
After comparing 1 5000 to 3 or 4 1000, I’ll never buy a 1000 again. The diodes (way better in the 5000) in the bigger ones, and the total diodes is way, way better.
The drivers are adjustable aswell
Why do the clips / carbiners not fit the standard tubing diameter in grow tents?! Ugh. I can work around that by hooking them back to the line, but the clips should fit over the steel tubing

Is the actual coverage for the plants 2x2 or 2 1/2 x 2 1/2 feet. I'm not sure. Thank you
2x2 for best results! I’ve been using them for quite a while now though and I definitely push the limits sometimes with the coverage area. Sometimes I’m closer to 3x3 and still growing strong! Probably depends a lot on what you’re growing though.
We call them rope ratchets in the uk
