Amazing! I didn‘t even hoped to find a comparison between VS P600 and the Sensi and suddenly I found this video without even looking for it. Indeed: you get what you wish for if you just know what exactly you wish for. Hope the comparison will be continued.
Rob, helpful info on a product I may use. I do everything to keep my power use to a minimum. Just taken an interest in electric vehicles so solar on the garage looks to be the answer. Garage has 240 so it could power the entire house plus level 2 charger.
Solar is not really practical for our home. Our garage is shaded by trees, and it would be impossible to keep snow off panels installed on the roof of our home. So we subscribe to the Windsource program from our utility, where all our power is generated by renewables. We have a plug-in hybrid car, and looking to get a full electric car soon.
Hah yeah i get so many requests for grow light reviews too and turn down the majority of them these days. A dimmer switch is a must for any LED panel I'm offered. It's a nice looking light. Will be interesting to see how it does for you.
I'm over wintering pepper plants as well as sprouting seedlings this coming winter. I 'm going to use some Blue/Red/Ultraviolets LED lights but are they the correct application for this or do you recommend full spectrum white LED lights?
I've used both, and they both work, but I prefer the full spectrum lights. Much easier to evaluate how your plants are doing under natural colored light.
I got mine yesterday and tomorrow I'll try to send it back. The LEDS never go fully off, not even after 10 hours and I'm sure it's not the timer because I unplugged it and LEDS kept glowing! I don't understand electronics but my best guess is it saves electricity inside the driver. Light stress at night is NOT good for any plant! Better save up for a quality light that has preventive measures in place to stop the glowing of the LEDS when turned off!
That's strange. I used mine for two seasons now (I have 2 of them) and they don't do this. No glowing at all when timer kicks in or you unplug them. It is true that they still glow a little if you turn the dimmer all the way down, but that's when they're getting power. Sorry you had a problem.
@@7PotClub Thank you for responding. Perhaps then there's a problem with my lamp. I searched on google and its a common thing for led lights, but it would be poor design for a grow light if they were all like this haha
I purchased a P600 about a month ago because of the dimming feature. I placed another order as I need more grow lights. I'm curious how the lights will be during my peppers' flowering and fruiting stage.
The office makeover looks great, Rob. And I'm guessing you've been putting some thought and work into speaking to camera, because it's really showing! You really nailed the presentation on this one.
Hi Rob! Just set up my new Phlizon 100w grow light eventhough the "item name" states 1000w. For seedlings they reccomend 24inches away for the plant. I set it to 24 inches and there is also an knob ranging from 0-10 (0w-100w) that dims or brightens the light. Should I run it at 5 (50w or 50% power) for seedlings? When they get bigger should I lower the light and increase the intensity to say 7 (70w or 70%)? Thanks!
I think 50% would be good for seedlings. I don't know the exact light output of your light, but you could probably keep go with 80-100% intensity at 18-24" once the plants are a little bigger.
@@7PotClub Hopefully they are fine at 50% now.the cotyledons are kind of curved upwards and not flat, does this mean they are "reaching" for more "sunlight"? In this case should i crank it up to about 60%? Thankyou!
Hi sir. I was wondering what light intensity would you recommend for seedlings till they go outside. I have a mars hydro 1000. So far set at 60% at 18"
@@nymeriagloves3957 That reminds me I have 1 plant that I had next to a overwinter plant. I didn't take care for it. Wasn't going to keep it. Leaned hard-core in my tent. Experimenting on it now. Might maka a cool bonchi
@@7PotClub the sensi lights are such a let down no offense and there marketing is very misleading PPFD is never reviewed either. what's the price on these ones Rob (they don't ship to Australia)? VipaSpectra sure seem to have followed the trend with the heavy aluminium heat sinks, but the 730nm bandwidth sure seems new because I'm normally used to seeing 66onm only. PS - nice haircut mate!
Like #15. Hi. I want to plant my Ecuadorian when you start your plants Rob. My Chocolate Habenero plants are fruiting. Still green. All organic. I'm happy I won!!
Thinking of starting my first grow. Can anyone tell me the difference between the Viparspectra P series and V series, apart from design. Apologies if this is a dumb question but I can’t seem to find comparisons online. Thanks.
If you know the light output and coverage of a light, you basically know everything you need to know. All the VIPARSPECTRA lights I've tried have worked great.
If i was you i would wash of that mold on yr wall with TSP or bleach before it spreads. Then paint it with bullseye paint seal out the mold or Kills paint alcohol base.
Hi Dave! I appreciate your concern. I understand it could look like mold in a video, but it's really just multiple layers of blistering and peeling paint. We really need to have the walls refinished and sealed soon.
Nice haircut :) And since I don't do the social media, I would like to take this as an opportunity to thank you from the bottom of my heart for the 7 Pot Club Membership Card and awesome stickers I received this Thursday, all the way over in Sweden
I got the vipar the other month, it’s an absolute beast, growing chocolate habanero and apache F1
Thanks for the light review rob, good seeing your videos, the new office is so cool.
Thanks Joseph!
I bought their P1000 last fall and I love it! I have had great success and zero issues with it.
Good to hear!
You are really progressing with those editing skills. Keep the vids coming! Thanks, Rob!
Thanks! It means a lot to me to hear that.
You inspired me to start growing peppers this year! Thanks Rob! 🍻
That's fantastic! Good luck with your plants.
I decided to start growing peppers but had no idea what to do. Your videos always come at the best time!
Thanks for watching! I have a lot of planting and growing videos that might be of help.

Glad it was helpful!
Always enjoy your videos Rob. You put a lot of thought into those. New studio is looking great, and exciting to think Spring is not that far away.
Thanks Matt!
I wish companies would provide a return shipping label so you could ship their boxes back to them and perhaps get a small discount for doing so.
Wow! Great review Rob! This video makes me want to buy a new grow light! These are nice! Thank you for the time you take to do this for us! 🙃🔥❣️
Thanks Carolyn! 😀❤️🌶

Hi Gapey! I'll report back
I'm over wintering pepper plants as well as sprouting seedlings this coming winter.
@@7PotClub Thanks for the reply! I'm in a small 3rd floor apartment and I'm worried about heat from the lights. Does the Viparspectra get very hot?
It's not all that hot. SANSI lights are really good as dissipating heat.
I got mine yesterday and tomorrow I'll try to send it back.
The LEDS never go fully off, not even after 10 hours and I'm sure it's not the timer because I unplugged it and LEDS kept glowing!

Upwardly curved leaves means the seedlings are happy and growing normally. Doesn't necessarily mean they need more light.
cant wait for the results with this new light
do you use the full 94w power for your plants or is that too much?
Yes, I'm planning on using the full power. Stay tuned for updates!

Hi sir. I was wondering what light intensity would you recommend for seedlings till they go outside. I have a mars hydro 1000. So far set at 60% at 18"
im doing similar to that now and it working fine. best advice is reflective walls if you havent yet. helps alot with edge brightness and leaning.
That sounds about right. You might be able to go to 100% intensity if you raised them to 24".

Nice video Rob . Very organized .
I too use Sansi. Interested to see the results.
Hey Rob, thanks for the video.
Been a few months now, how has the growth been compared to the Sansi, do you recommend the P600?
Cheers! 👍
I do. It worked great for me! The SANSI lights are great, but they don't have a dimming switch like the VIPARSPECTRA.

These look very similar to Freelicht lights in terms of color and materials. My freelicht is great. Any connection?
I'm not familiar with that brand, but a lot of lights use the same components.
Do these lights work for growing hot peppers indoors?
Yes they do!

Hi Simon! Here's a link for where you can buy them in AU: thehippiehouse.com.au/collections/viparspectra-led-grow-lights
@@7PotClub thanks Rob - they are priced very reasonably!
How is the heat output compared to one with a fan?
The large heat sink dissipates the heat very efficiently. Definitely doesn't produce more heat.

Very helpful insight
P600 will work well for 1 single plant ?
Yes, I think so
I use two of these bad bois and 4 other lights to grow 20 top shelf marijuana plants in all of my 4 by 8 tents
That's cool! I don't live in a legal state, so can't try that here.

That's last years model. The new xs models are better. The viparspectra have the best reviews. So I bought the new xs 1500s.
The XS Series looks great, but they're overkill for my needs since I'm just growing seedlings to plant outdoors. Hope it works out well for you!
