Hi there. I used this same principle to clean all the fuel injectors on my 2008 Hyundai Tucson. This was a very economical and effective way to perform a DIY. The whole project cost me about US$30. If I had taken this to the mechanic, It would have cost me much much more. Thanks for the vid.
Glad I found this! This is a well put together video; good sound, to-the-point direction, and decent camera work. Also, the set up for this system is quite clever, I can't wait to try it out. Replacing all the fuel injectors I have now is too expensive for me, so I'm trying to salvage what I can to reduce costs, and hopefully this will help. Fingers crossed!
Nice way to do it! I did it another way using compressed air, and a short length of fuel line. I used a 12V battery charger to power the injector, but most automatic types they make these days won't do it. However a 6 to 12 Volt plug in adapter will work. To my knowledge injectors actually run at about 5 to 6 volts anyway. Nice vid :)
genius method for practically free, thanks for sharing! I've considered using an ultrasonic cleaner, but I think this method would be perfectly sufficient, especially with reverse cleaning.
Dear Robguitargod1! Thank you very much for share this video!!! Nobody knows what is the problem with my car. When I started the engine for 5 secound does not worked all of the cylinders, it was a little bit weak, and the gasreaction was too too slow... In the service told me the guy, my injection heads are good. I just try your way and the car will been smooth, start immediatelly, stronger, sharper. It will been a better car. So thank you very much again and sorry for my weak english. Regards
Great video, I'm from France and here garage don't reapare the injectors they just change them for 1200€😂😂😂 (you read well 1200€). With your technic, it has costed me 35€. Thanks you bro ❤.
Great video and funny as well. Bet you're Canadian! Continue the good work. Beware of the high 12V on the injectors as they are more likely running on much lower voltage.
Nice job, with one exception, you might have mentioned eye protection for the operation outlined, especially since you noted a bit of a mishap with the syringe coming off under pressure, but other than that I'm very impressed, enough so to try it myself..Cheers
Nice . Bought the little kit that’s on Amazon didn’t like the adapter that goes over the can leaks a lot this looks a lot better even gonna buy me a switch and do it this way . Thank you ❤❤
Good evening and happiness you are cleaning the sprays with your beautiful style Thank you for this wonderful information Oh ok Worked to clean the survivors 👌But I change the filter sprays better
You may also be able to buy the injector electrical connector like I did for my '89 f150. Took a lot of talking on the phone but I finally found it at Auto Zone for about $6. Beats driving 45 minutes to the closest self-service junkyard, and paying a $2 entry fee just to find out they may not have the part you are looking for.
Beginning manifold vacuum hot: 13.5-14 inHg Added Seafoam to my gasoline. Took the car out on the highway for 5 miles out and 5 miles back, doing about 80mph in the far left lane in 4th gear most of the time. Back to the garage, Ending manifold vacuum hot: 17.5 inHg. WHY? Why did my fan belt start slipping immediately after I started the motor for the first time after adding Seafoam to my gas? I remember cringing at the noise it was making (not knowing what it was, it was different than the way loose belts normally sound because the belt was brand new), while at the same time marveling at how much better the engine's pickup was. Yes, it was the belt slipping on the pulley from the torquier motor and this was every time I put the throttle down. That belt was tight enough for the way the motor ran before Seafoam but not after. WHY? Seafoam gets blamed for causing noises under the hood after using it, and yeah it caused a noise under my hood too. You'll have to excuse my own anecdotal evidence that it works is good enough for me and deniers look like idiots I'm sorry to see. Does it work for everyone? Hell no. Is what's presented in this video far more comprehensive? Hell yes. I should pull the injectors on my car and inspect them and either have them professionally cleaned, or replace them outright. But if you're a random person with some carbon buildup who's too irreligious to buy a $7 can of Seafoam and try it first before belaboring yourself into hundreds or thousands of dollars of expense and hours of smelly and even dizzy work, I don't know what's wrong with you broski.
The technique is basically the same in injector cleaning, it's the approach that makes it individual. So guys, Note the technique, the rest is what makes you "happy".
Don't forget protective glasses, it may not seem but there is a bit of a pressure and those connections enjoy breaking free. Don't forget to back flush because that gives a flow from the opposite 'normal' direction. Install the injectors the same day, don't let them stay with that solvent overnight as it contains acetone and that can damage the injector. I use a small 9V battery by the way, plenty enough. Never use acetone or lacquer cleaner.
yes TY. I seen a guy use a double A battery on one, But it wasn't working for me for some reason. I was worried about hooking up direct to the car battery like you did, Because I didn't know if it would be to strong or not. Appreciate the upload man and info.
@robguitargod1 really good video man thanks alot, I just have one question. Is their no problem with the voltage? I mean connecting one injector to any battery is fine?
Hey what I found that worked really great was a little bubbles that you buy to shut off a vacuum line a little hose clamp I put a hole real tiny in top of the bubble cut the straw off of the spray can at an angle shoved it through the hole no leaks and had the pressure
Injectors operate on 5 volts. !2 volts is way too much, thats why you hear the pintel moving so violently. The coil wires are about as thick as a strand of spiders web. Very helpful video.

very clever contraption ,best one so far on the tube. Good work, appreciated.
Great vid, I can clean the injectors professionally without the hassle. Good job, and commentary.
Dude, that was really creative.... thanks for making this clip :-)
Nice way to do it!

Pretty cool technique you have going there. Thumbs up.
Great video, Simple and Effective..
This was a good video. I like this method because it a also tests the fuel injectors as well! Keep up the good work.
Worked great. I used a 9v battery instead and it worked just fine... Thanks for the vid
Thats about the coolest thing I've seen in a while
Never thought of cleaning the injectors awesome video!!
Nice
genius method for practically free, thanks for sharing! I've considered using an ultrasonic cleaner, but I think this method would be perfectly sufficient, especially with reverse cleaning.
Very good video !
thanks for unveiling the misteries of the injector clean
looks like an opportunity to sell a home injector cleaning kit
this is a great vid, i have never thought of cleaning a fuel injector that way!!! looks like it works very well, :-)
I like this, I like this a lot. I wouldn't do it on my daily driver but looks it's perfect like a DIY project for a beater.
NIce! This kind of improvise material is genius. Thanks for sharing it. Keep it up!
"Damnitt!!" 😂😂 Really hilarious
But seriously, great video very informative I'm going to use this for practical purposes!
I did this about a year ago after watching this video. Thanks for the idea!
u r amazingly creative.. thanks so much for the tips

"Damn It" ............ excellent vid. Thanks!!
great setup they were cleaned
LMAO, I kept laughing everytime he would say "damn it"

thanks, this is just what I needed..!!!
Nice job. Very good camera work and presentation!
Clean set up bro great video
Damn great idea !! Aerosol can's have actualy about the same pressure as a fuel line too ! will keep this in mind. Thank a lot :)
Excellent tips!
New title:
Fuel injector cleaning (Damnit!)
Great video and funny as well. Bet you're Canadian! Continue the good work. Beware of the high 12V on the injectors as they are more likely running on much lower voltage.
That was a great job you must have put quite a bit of time in on perfecting this. Thanks.
Thanks for sharing this video. I got a car that's set 10yrs that has some gummed up injectors.
Thanks for answering and saving my ECU :)
Awesome! I got a Chrysler Cirrus (virtually the same as the Breeze) so this video may in fact come in handy in the future!
great job, that was very informative. Thanks
Great video...very helpful
Nice job, with one exception, you might have mentioned eye protection for the operation outlined, especially since you noted a bit of a mishap with the syringe coming off under pressure, but other than that I'm very impressed, enough so to try it myself..Cheers
Clever stuff!
mann that is Great stuff !!! might try that myself fella!!! Keep up the good work!!! and Thanks for this Tut!!!
Nice . Bought the little kit that’s on Amazon didn’t like the adapter that goes over the can leaks a lot this looks a lot better even gonna buy me a switch and do it this way . Thank you ❤❤
great video. just want to ask does this work on any model fuel injectors for cars? or just for yours?
Good evening and happiness you are cleaning the sprays with your beautiful style Thank you for this wonderful information Oh ok Worked to clean the survivors 👌But I change the filter sprays better
that's freaking awesome.
Charlie Sheen just taught me how to diy clean injectors
Hi..Good vid instructable, very helpful for my first injection engine service :D Thank you for this share...
thats the same way i cleaned my injectors too.... works pretty well .. i used wd40 worked very well too but carbcleaner cleans more/better for sure

The button is a great idea.
Dammit!!! LOL Awesome vid, thanks.
lol everytime he drops something he says "damn it"
Dam butter fingers, droppin everything!! good idea!!

That was real easy,, well is how you made it look like,, ,, thx bro , nice video!
Very Clever ......i like it !!!
@robguitargod1 really good video man thanks alot, I just have one question. Is their no problem with the voltage? I mean connecting one injector to any battery is fine?
Nice one!
thks man for the video.!!...good idea!!!...will do on my injectors as well
Tu eres un ingeniero con mucha experiencia pero sin titulo.
Hey what I found that worked really great was a little bubbles that you buy to shut off a vacuum line a little hose clamp I put a hole real tiny in top of the bubble cut the straw off of the spray can at an angle shoved it through the hole no leaks and had the pressure
Nice job on the video
ooo damn that is a nice mist spray. nice job!
Don't forget to HAVE the basket filter installed when cleaning the injectors. Otherwise you will surely get debris inside from the rubber hoses used.
Thanks!! To think I was about to buy a new set of injectors..... :-)
Great cleaning tip thanks.....BTW where did you get the syringe?
bloody clever
Injectors operate on 5 volts. !2 volts is way too much, thats why you hear the pintel moving so violently. The coil wires are about as thick as a strand of spiders web. Very helpful video.
Excelent...congratulations...thankyou
Sometimes you need to be an octopus, in the land of DIY makeshift maintenance.
very good
sweet setup with the syringe. i heard 9v is safer since ECU's are actually reducing the voltage to the injectors so its not a true 12v.
Can we connect battery Negative and positive charge terminals to injector randomly. Does injector will work or it blow off ?? Please do reply
good advice thank's ;)
1ML = 1CC my friend. thanks for this video
Very informative , thanks..
what do yo think about cleaning injectors in the supersonic bath ? it is now expensive to buy one
BRAVO !!!!!!!
very good real subject video
does swapping of the injectors improve performance or fuel economy from the plymouth to your jeep?
Thanks dude will try it but with 5 v. Good video and well explain.
