  • Traveling with a safety razor kit doesn't have to be cumbersome and really comes down to pairing down your normal safety razor kit. When traveling, you may worry about flying with your favorite soap or your favorite aftershaves, but I am here to tell you, safety razor travel can be a breeze.

I never would have considered tubed shaving soap. Definitely will give it a try on the road

Okay, let's see, my go to travel shaving kit is composed by : Gillette King C razor, palmolive shaving stick , alum block, Nivea aftershave splash and baume or Acqua Velva splash in a 100ml bottle, Gillette 7 o'clock yellow jackets and that's pretty much all the items that I can put in my toiletry bag. Have a great day 👏👏👏👏👍👍👍👍

Well, like the Moody Blues said back in the day, "Thinking is the best way to travel", and that's my philosophy. I bought the PAA Flight after I saw yours and I enjoy mine, as it gives a decent shave and looks like a classy vintage razor. I''m not sure which I dislike the most, weddings or funerals. Those golden curls went well with that pretty yellow dress.

Totally agree with travelling with shaving gear you at least enjoy, which doesn't necessarily mean an expensive razor. For me I enjoy the KCG a lot, one of my top comfort razors, so I take that razor in a leather travel razor holder, favourite DE blades, a shave cream tube, my Stirling collapsable shave bowl, a small brush (Yaqi 22mm Cola), pre-shave soap, witch hazel (in small bottle), balm, alum and stiptic pencil, I think that's it. I want to enjoy my shave when I travel so I take my whole kit and kaboodle. Take care and have a great week 🙏👍

Howdy Greg, I'm like you I don't want my least favorite safety razor on a trip. I want something I enjoy shaving with, so my choice is PAA double open comb 3 piece and some soap and aftershave sample whatever brand I like. Love Fine too. Usually I but some aftershave in a small bottle and have some shaving creme or soap in a small container or using a stick. Got one of these vintage sets with 3 tubes in it, one is for the brush the other two I use to store the stick and the aftershave and I'm ready to go.
Have a great week and stay safe 🪒 💈

You have it all planned out! If I didn’t have a special case for my razor I probably wouldn’t even store it in anything…like a goofball! I do ziplock bag all my software in case of seepage though. Have a great and safe week too

    What a cutie!!! ❤
I’m talking about your 3 year old, Greg, not you! Okay, you’re kind of cute too. Hey, I take a Merkur 34c because it’s reasonably small, is very unlikely to do any bad things to my face even if I shave with it every day, and it won’t break the bank if I have to replace it. I have a soft leather holster sort of thing I put it in which is actually more valuable than the 34c so that doesn’t make a lot of sense but there you go. I’m a walking contradiction.

You can call me a silly goose too because I am no minimalist. When I travel I have 2 kits; my regular stuff in one with everything other than shaving stuff (toothbrush, etc.) and a second one that has, ahem: razor in a leather case, soap puck, soap stick and soap cream tube, a plastic box with about 10 different blades of different quantities, a synthetic brush, an aftershave, witch hazel, three different balms, and some EDT (currently the littlest glass bottle of Windsor). Then I have enough to enjoy and have a few choices. Why not? Cheers.

Fair point! Enjoy yourself. I’m glad I didn’t bring a lot. I had to check my rented tux in that bag and almost didn’t have enough room for everything. Haha. I would prefer your method!

I don't like to check-in baggage as a rule. This is what I keep the Mach3 for. I have come to hate cartridge razors, but this can be carried on, and a DE blade cannot. I like shave sticks for travel, of which I have several, palmolive being my preferred soap. I carry it in a vintage bakelite tube. I only have one brush that I care for, the Semogue SOC Badger. I carry it in a plastic tube from Simpson. I am a face latherer.
If I were to carry a DE razor, I would still carry on the razor itself (blades and liquids in check in luggage) The razor would be the New Gillette short comb with a ball end handle in a WW2 GI style fabric case (cordura) made by Spearhead.
I am sure that a synthetic brush would make more sense for travel, but I do not yet own one that I enjoy.

@@ivermec-tin666 heavy hitting kit there! Thought about picking up a cartridge razor for the trip, but young kids need a lot of clothes haha so we end up having to check a bag…why not have a good time 😊 I need to try some shave sticks. Thanks for watching

I love 💕 shaving my safety razor 🪒 at 🏠. But, I don’t want to get confiscated from the TSA, if I bring one. Because, I sometimes get the disposable or cartridge razors.
