What a total treat to see footage of these geniuses in somewhat raw footage! And that’s harmony, not singing off tune, in my humble opinion! BABY, I’m amazed!
A kid born in that year will already be a middle aged (aka OLD) adult by now. Just an indication how long ago it already is. But GREAT music never gets old😉😁
I saw them 5 times in the 70s including this tour in 1970,2 times A nod is as good to a blind horse tour in different cities in smaller venues where Rod kicked balls into the audience, in 1975 I saw the show without Ron Wood those shows were his best shows in my opinion
Great to see such raw footage, was a big fan. Got to kiss Rod when he arrived at the State Kilburn, that stayed with me a long time , still my fav band ❤
What a great vintage reel! It was Rod's raspy voice and his song writing that made me a huge fan. Is this the same FACES (The Small Faces) that recorded Itchy-koo Park without Rod? Ok, so did a bit of research and found that Ronnie Laine was of The Small Faces. Interesting that Steve Marriot was a member and went onto Humble Pie.
The Small Faces were Lane, McLagan and Jones from this performance fronted by Steve Marriott on lead vocals and guitar. At just over 5'5", Lane was the tallest hence the name ("Face" was the standard greeting between mods, the movement the band came out of). When Marriott quit, they replaced him with Wood and Stewart and because the new arrivals clocked in at 5'9" and 5'10" respectively, the"Small" bit got dropped from the name.
Great Footage, Thank you for sharing. I’m Convinced that if These members of the Faces would have stayed together they would’ve been just as big or Bigger than The Rolling Stones. The Faces are rooted more in The Blues, and it was just them. The Stones in the other hand always need Additional members to give them that feel.✌️
This brings back such memories… I saw them play in SF around this time. I had such a crush on Ron Wood & my friend was in love with Rod Stewart (with his brown hair). Such a great band. I wasn’t a fan of “Disco Rod”, but I’m more of a blues fan.
Absolutely. Went to a Faces concert in '74. Good as Rod Stewart was Ron Wood stole the show for me., Was down the front elbows on the stage in front of Rod but moved over to where Ron was to check him out close up. Never forget especially him kinda laughing, very close face to face, when he must've noticed the jaw dropping stunned look on my face. 😆🤩
Rod is showing a lot of soul here, he didn't care about perfection, putting expression on top of everything. I really love that (and everybody else in the band as well).
Boy, with no monitors on stage, Rod is having trouble signing in tune. And what is with the cameras all up in their faces. It’s obnoxiously annoying! LOL
You have obviously never been to the Marquee Club. There is no room for cameras to be anywhere else. It was a tiny place, but the birth and launching pad for so many great bands.

Genius
This is so Awesome!
A supergroup of absolute All Stars!!!!
Love seeing Ronnie Lane happy, singing with Rod!
I haven't seen this footage before. Just wonderful!
All of them totally pissed up. Lovely stuff.
This is so brilliant. First time I've come across this little gem
Rod and Ronnie together - amazing. What a fucking band this was.
同じ思いです。ロニーとやってるロッドがいい〜 ❣ 🍺🎉
What a great piece of footage they got. It's like being there.
Lane and Woods and ROD

My second live concert at the age of 16. Saw them up in Minneapolis MN. Still one of the best concerts I’ve ever seen live.
Saw them live twice in the 70's, what a brilliant band! So underrated.
Wow... wish I had. 3 yrs or so too late, Bowie too x.

There used to be HD versions of this but it's been taken down. Can somebody just by this already so I can throw my money at it.

All this and Around The Plynth, too? Nice.

Fantastic footage and version!
Jesus, the song was only a couple of months old!
Ron wood was great with the faces

This is amazing
He is 25 here

Simply..BEAUTIFUL !!
Has there been a better front man and who sold emotion with his delivery whilst having the best time of his life
No
A living instrument
These vids sure bring back memories, so cool. Thanks for sharing. sub'd
Kenney Jones at the drums. Before he joined The Who.
And proof that he was a really good soulful player, not like what he did for the Who.
Best band ever.
Faces were a cheap rolling stones tribute band..
Absolutely epic ! P x
I saw them back then in late 1970. Live they were like a big party. Terrific band and very piano based blues.
Pure unadulterated fire
Ron Wood... Rod Stewart...
Wow!!! 👏👍
The Stones sang about the party….
Faces WERE the party…
SO WE ARE JUST GOING TO IGNORE THE FACT THAT ROD STEWART AND RON WOOD LOOK LIKE BROTHERS?? HE IS THE BRUNETTE VERSION OF ROD S. HELLO?!!
They look high AF ! Good times !
wow rod looks stoned as fuck!
Drunk off his ass is much more like it.
He def does I love its 1970
Man, thanks for sharing. What a treat! Magical. And the cinematography!
😍
いいね〜🤤
Ain't it the truth
Supergroup
Such a killer band if only they wrote some hits
2:29 -- why Rod is pushing Ronnie`s head down?
Why does Rod put his arm around Ron? Why does Rod smile with Ron? Why ask WHY!?
Rod is pushing Ronnie closer to the microphone
The Faces did it better.
Rod looks wasted😂
Alcohol was involved
Cannabis too
Stolen from german Tv
Nein
Better than the Stones. But not nasty enough.
Boy, with no monitors on stage, Rod is having trouble signing in tune. And what is with the cameras all up in their faces. It’s obnoxiously annoying! LOL
Being drunk doesn’t help either

Jus shut up and listen geez !
