The world would be a better place if Rock & Roll came back!
Well I get ya. But the fact is that it never left! Generation after generation keep on discovering the best music ever given to the human race! Remember Danny and the juniors said rock&roll is here to stay it will never die! True word's. Rock on 🤟✌️👊
But it never left, you have to try harder. Remember this was also the era of the Bay City Rollers.
@@robbo811don't even compare the two eras.. r&r isn't hardly on the radio. AM R n R non-existent ..
Amen🙏
@@robbo811Bay City rollers were just ok but let's talk about Robin trower yeah now that's a force to be reckon with twice removed from yesterday and bridge of sighs now those are rock and roll Staples !!!
This sh!t never gets old. And it never will ☮️
" a grove that can dead men dance" best comment this year :-)
Pure joy seeing and hearing this. Yellow jumpsuit, Keith and Ronnie riffing it out, Ian Mclagan on rockin piano, and a groove that could make dead men dance. Can’t get more rock n roll than this. And what a voice on Rod the Mod!
Onya keef couldn't have said it better myself.
Check out Let it Rock live if you can find it. Usually bootlegs
An absolute joy for sure. Man, that's some kick ass s---! I didn't know who the piano was. But, I do now; I'm going to look him up. Thanks Keeffan 👍👍👍🎼🎶
Rod Stewart has a fantastic voice.
My man Kenney Jones getting it done on the drums!
I'm at the faces one night out back the stage door in Anaheim. We got a lot of talking in. I asked Kenny Jones what he thought Charlie Watts? He said what do you want me to say he's a bloody good friend of mine 😂
Tetsu Yamauchi makes me happy!
Great music great songs great musicians❤💯🇬🇧
This is how it’s done boys and girls
So tight between Keith and Ronnie. The writing was on the wall and Taylor was walking out the back door when Ronnie was walking in the front door. The birth of the best weavers in Rock n roll 😎
Woody spent the preceding five years sucking up to the Glimmer Twins.
Rod Stewart with the 'twin guitars' from Rolling Stones (Keith Richards e Ron Wood)... It just can be a big party jam!
Keith ‘out Berrying ‘ Chuck Berry. Fan since 1967 awesome. Cheers from Montreal
🤩 what a fantastic music.. ways better than todays music.. 👍👍👍
Rod really sticks to the gritty swing of Chuck's original and Keith has always been Berry's biggest fan and it shows. Brilliant bit of footage. TMS was such a killer music show.
Rod never fails to provide great singing and bravado as lead singer!
And helped put the Stones back together.
Onya Rod.
And ass. He had a lot of ass.
The Midnight Special, really showed some amazing musicians and artists. This was the place to be seen to let the people see how amazing your music is. They sure put on a lot of phenomenal musicians on there. This is one hell of a performance. I'm truly loving this. Rock and Roll is never going to die. With artists like this it will always be alive and well.
Actually that was just a recording of the faces farewell concert in Killburn State Theatre London.
Exactly.. Yanks trying to claim this!
gotta love how Keith plays rhythm behind Woody’s solo then shows how it’s really done…hey kids, this is REAL Rock & Roll
I remember when this originally aired in tv. The gave the Faces the whole program and showed an hour of this concert . Wolfman Jack did an interview with Stewart. I had seen this same film at the midnight movie theater a month of so before it came on tv.
I was a 12yr old Rod Stewart fanatic in 1975. Faces still my favorite bsnd of all time.
Keef is only 78 here he looks pretty good!
It's all the shepherds pie mate
@@grimmertwin2148hahahahaha
😂
🤣🤣
Clean livin'
I have never been able to look at Rod Stewart without practically cramping from cringing. Bice to see Keith, though.
So good it made Kieth Richards smile.
As they say it doesn't get any better than that
Was at this special night at Kilburn state at Christmas '74 ... fantastic RocknRoll night
🎸🎸🎤
Watched the night it was on in 75. Ronnie was playing on tour with the Stones just a few months after this. Faces f-ing rocked hard
This is why I just can't give today's music a chance. And Lord....I've tried.
This is cleaned up brilliant thanks so much !! 😎👍
Love Tetsu's playing to👍
You can't even hear him...
Great performance, great memories! I don't think even Keith knew, at that time, that Ronnie would be joining 'The Boys' about 2 months after this performance.
I love Keith’s and Ronnie’s album
Oh yeah, he knew it - That's the only reason he made the appearance - it had all been planned way before as part of the integration process
Like Keith wouldn’t know who was going to be playing guitar in his band! 🤣😂🤣
Love Ronnie, but Mick Taylor was the best.
Keith Richards playing Rock and Roller!
That chick singer can shake it.
❤❤❤ Keith ❤❤❤
Ronnie Wood was an excellent fit for becoming a Rolling Stone. I think it was a month or two later Ronnie would be playing with his new band in NYC on the back of a flatbed truck to advertise kicking off the Stone's 75 US tour.
Yep, in June. Saw them on that tour at the Forum in L.A. and Keef was smacked out of his mind. It's on youtube and it's ugly. But still an amazing concert
Keith Richard is just rad
Shake it, don’t break it Rod! Ooof I love this song~version, fantastic rockers all~of~them!
I loved reading that when mick taylor quit the stones, ronnie was at a party at robert stigwoods house and mick turned to him and said, "do you think he's serious"? After numerous auditions, woody was the obvious choice...after all he looked like keiths little brother. Loved the mick taylor years, though.
Yeah, not that it was Ronnie's fault, but I think the Mick Taylor Years were the best the Stones ever had.
Rock and roll forever!!🎉❤❤❤
Wow, rock and roll defined!
Beyond classic!
Tetsu yamauchi bassist player from Japan Japanese my friends
Yes he played well here
The dip stick as Rod use to call himm
Great tune
Fantastic singer
Never saw this before. Awesome
Marvellous Faces. Wiw!
Rod knew the Faces were over..he was going solo...Ron was going to be a Stone. All good things must come to an end.
Ronnie's prerequisite to the Chin Up Twins 🎸
La mejor versión que le hicieron a este tema de Chuck.
Toca un fenómeno el fantástico Keith, el mejor . . .lejos!!!
Wow! These guys doing Chuck Berry! There were gods in those days!
Faces final concert,at Kilburn Empire..How this clip of the concert ended up on midnight special is beyond me
terug naar mijn puber jaren, fantastisch
Rod is looking for the ROD!
There was some skating on mirrors backstage that night !!
Skiing most likely
Ronnie and Keith blazing away at each other ! That has never come close in.the Stones sadly 😢
Pure rock'n'roll
Love It!👽
They should have also invited Chuck Berrry on this one!
テツ山内がいますね!
This showed keef and Ronnie worked good together. Trading leads to.
Wow, the pianist !,,,,,
Ian McLagan of the Small Faces & Faces
This video confirms for me something I've told others, that Rod sung with his back to the audience approximately half the time. I saw the Faces in 73. Nobody believes me. I don't believe it was shyness but that he really thought we would rather see his ass than him facing the audience. A sort of pandering to the girls in the audience anyway.
Tbat voice 😮
And this was how Freddie Mercury danced
Stewarty!!!!!!!!!! Look at my fine ass!!!! OMG what great music. Keef looks almost alive there! Peace.
Keef makes it look easy to be cool.
They knew way before this on the credits of its only rocknroll the album it says inspiration Ronnie Wood they knew already Jerry from Mexico cheers
Well at least we know from where the black crows came out of , Rods as
They'd be the first to admit it.
Keith's face showed that he knew that Ronnie will be a Rolling Stone a few days after.
Yeah he did. And Rod was incredibly gracious in making it happen.
Amen
It was really a no brainer
Rod went gay. So no more Faces. Not that they wrote many good songs together. Rods solo albums were better.
@@tomslick2058the faces albums were outstanding 👍
Thannk you ❤
They couldn't afford to pay rod Stewart enough to be on the midnight special so they just showed a film clip of him somewhere else. 😁
😎👍
Best bum in the business! 😅wow.. Keith Richard was soooo 🥵 yum!
only second best
Rods biggest nightmare woody with his new best mate
Why would I even want to play guitar without first knowing how to play any Chuck Berry ??
山内テツさん😮
anyone know what guitar keith was playing?
Looks like a Les Paul Jr. I think Leslie West also used that guitar.
Rod Stewart rocking Burger King’s suit 😅😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
why kenney jones’ drum kit is blocked out???
You put the word "is" in the wrong place. 😅
Why he turned his back to the crowd so much? Interesting 🤔
Did Rod Stewart wear that for a laugh 😂
He was expressing his true self, don't be "homophobic", lol 😁
Who is the bass player?
His name is Tetsu Yamauchi. Ronnie Lane left the group in 1973, then Tetsu joined them, and played with Rod & The Faces for a few years after that.
Tetsu played with Free for a while as well. Some good credentials there.
Crank it up n knock th' knob off
Is that Nicky Hopkins on piano?
Ian McLagan.....original member of The Faces,....and Small Faces.
Who then went on to play piano for the Stones until his Translation to the Big Gig in the Sky....
Who’s playing bass? It’s not Ronnie Lane , although I can’t see his face!
Huh? Tetsu Yamauchi is playing bass
The emphasis the director puts on Rod's ass is....gross. The music is GREAT though.
Thanks for saying what I was thinking. Way too much ass in this video.
Rod was putting it out for all comers at that time 😊
I replied "Way too much ass," and the comment was deleted.
I posted "way too much ass" and the comment was deleted.
What's with the gay clown suit Rod?
He was out of the closet and then attempted to hide his fruitiness in his later years, lol
Truly embarrassing
FANTASTIC stuff here!! But Im not sure why Kenney Jones' PREMIER drum kit is blocked out ?
They didn’t block out “STEINWAY” on the side of Ian McLagan’s grand piano!
Rod's biggest mistake was thinking he was better than the Faces. He didn't see the magic they created as a group sad to say. McClagen was such a great keyboardist!
No valen, quieren hacer buena música, pero no logran, en 2024 no se hubieran comido una verdadera mierda, lo siento es mi opinión.
Kenney Jones on the drums, later went on to join The Who in 1979.
Great performance, just wish they'd managed to capture the bass a little better, it is barely audible. Mais c'est la vie.
Rod simply at his best! God bless Chuck Berry!
Shame he was such a carnt lol.
Check out 4 DVD edition of Hail Hail Rock'n'roll.
You'll see what I mean.
@@grimmertwin2148 Yer! Chuck was a bit of a MF and even tries to punch Keith Richards in the face once, just because he picked up his guitar and wanted to have a look at it. The music was still brilliant though.
Absolutely class .
I love it!! 👏👏👏
Es algo increíble..lo que tocaban.. esta banda ((the faces))
They sound like they might play in a band
The greatest sound ever produced on this good Earth is the sound of Keith Richards chopping wood. Tightly articulated rhythm guitar chords NEVER sounded better! The genesis of the Art of Weaving.
Mick Taylor is needed to play lead.
@@alexbowman7582There’s NO Way Anyone Can EVER Say ANYTHING Close to Negative Regarding Mick Taylor’s Playing BUT at the Same Time You CAN’T Knock THIS Line Up of FACES, True Rock n Roll ! Thee Absolute BEST 2 Concerts I’ve Seen and I HAVE Seen EVERYONE Beginning in 1964 With The Beatles, ALL the British Invasion Bands (I Saw Peter Greene’s ORIGINAL Fleetwood Mac Which Came Close to Being 1 of My Top 2) But Humble Pie Literally Blew the Roof Off of The Boston Garden and I Saw THIS Lineup of FACES Who Just ROCKED Like Nobody’s Business !!! Oh and I also Saw Early Elvis Who Made Me the Rock n Roll Addict I am 🎶♥️🎶♥️🎶‼️
