My fave live band bar none. At their peak the best rock band in the world. Loved those heady days! I was 17 in 1970..❤
Man I wish I was 17 in the 70s you spent the best years of your life in the best decades 60s70s80s. Everything started to turn to sht in the decade I was born (the 90s).
I cannot describe how happy these clips make me. This was the band that decided me on playing Guitar for the rest of my life, and I can't thank them enough for bringin' the party. I love the fact that you never knew what they were going to play! Always a surprise, and their version of a night of music meant you were gonna' walk away with a great memory and maybe a little hungover...CHEERS!!
One of the all time great rock groups. So young and full of energy. FACES forever.
Rest In Peace Ronnie L & Ian M
Thank You
🎸🎹🕊
Yes, amazing band and so effortlessly packed with talent and soul. And Rod Stewart's voice is recognizable within seconds, no matter what he does! :)
How odd to thank Steve Marriott for offering us the chance to set The Faces up!!! What a gift.
Another fine release from the vaults of "Rockpalast". Rest in peace, Ronnie Lane.
Hard to explain how loose they were and how tight they were - just brilliant
Wow! pure tone. So much talent in one room. Never to be replicated ever again. ❤
This is literally incredible. A lot of outstanding music came out of the 60s and 70s, but this might just be the pinnacle of live performances. A band simply cannot play better than this; so tight. And, of course, Rod's sensational gravely voice. At the top of his game here -- pure power and presence.10/10.
Great to see their youth, camaraderie, melding of British and American R&B music traditions and obvious sense of fun! Then The Music Biz took over...
They never fail to impress, yet sometimes they seem to effortlessly sail into the stratosphere. Wonderful. Thank you for the upload.
Great to see young Rod just before I was born, especially in HD. It's a great piece of treasured music history....
Rods voice is fantastic, Shows how good Ronnie is, what a great time to watch again!, thanks for the upload
Truth both literally and the LP
Definitely Ronnie & Rod, were a great pair, I love them 😍 & their Rooster haircuts
Fantastic performance... The camera work, sound, and editing here is also remarkable, especially given this is a remote session at the Marquee Club with a relatively small stage. Thank you to the team at WDR Rockpalast.
Saw The Faces in 1974, of the best gigs I’ve witnessed.
Thanks for posting this beautiful surprise. Beautiful rough sound too!
Ahh those were the days. Great footage.
I absolutely love this band
Truly awesome
Plain raw and beautiful music. Compare with the noise nowadays.
Blues and rock meets the folk music of England.
Beautiful.
They remind me of the Who sometimes the bass and drums are jammin'.
Ronnie and Rod are right there with them.
That was cool when all 5 of them were singing, the two Ronnie's on one mic and Rod went to the drummers mic and then the keyboard player. These guys were so connected in the same spirit and joy of music 🎶
Happening. 🎉 🕉
Could be because the Faces drummer later took the place of Keith Moon and played with The Who for a long time.
Man, they seemed to be having the best time ever back in the early seventies. How good was this band back then. Just wonderful to see this
Nėra lygių. Nebus lygių. Zeitlos herrlich.
No matter how loud or rough, I can always follow the melody of the MUSIC being PLAYED. To me the whole setting is a Rock and Roll poem. Phenomenal. Thinking of 'Stone the Crows' also. Vielen Dank 🌹:)
Thanks for posting this, the album "First Step" was my first step into the Faces called Small Faces on that album, a year prior I bought The Rod Stewart Album and was hooked on this group I never had the pleasure of seeing them live.
'Flying' is truly one of the greatest rock songs of all time.
Toll, wie sie mit Maccas „Maybe I’m amazed“ einen damals sehr aktuellen Song interpretiert haben. Man hat das Gefühl, sie spielen ihn schon seit Jahren.
Sie haben recht!
Wish they’d stayed together longer, love their boogie down rock “n” roll with Rods lead - gravely vocal. @14:50 that’s some HEAVY stuff with that bass line!! Whew!! 🎉
Really great, super session! Thanks for share.
A perfect Rock n ' Roll time capsule 🍻 txanks!
LOVED THE FACES!!!!
Live SPIRITUAL power is here
Fabulous moment, Great Staff.
Arguably the best band on the planet at the time of that recording
That opening vocal is just stunning. So natural and soulful. They were so bloody good and had a great time too. Lucky enough to see them 3 times in my yoof!
Endlich gibt es die Aufnahmen von damals zu sehen . War doch sehr rau und wild
Vielen Dank dafür !
Kenny and Denny were a formidable rhythm section
Loved it!!!! Brought back a lot of memories of the greatest decade in music!!! Joe Bonamassa is keeping it alive for us! 🎸❤️🎸
Sorry, if you think that Joe B. is keeping this music alive, I really don't understand what you try to say. The Small Faces and later for a too short time the Faces were the essence of Rock, Joe B. for me is a boring guitarist, technically fantastic but there is no soul in his music and playing. Or maybe I can't hear it.
@@georgeickhoff3646 Agree, I don’t care for Joe B., either.
Joe Bonamassa is what? No one can keep the spirit and creativity of this time alive. You must have been part of it, you must have lived it.
Wow, just awesome.
Der Sound ist einfach gnadenlos cool, i love it 😊
leave it to zee Germans for superior sound and vision ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Rod and the faces ...best band ever
steve and the faces best band ever
The greatest Post-Beatles rock band, bar none.
FANTASTIC!!! PURE ROCK ROLLZ!!
Rod and the lads in top form here.
Ian
Wow! What a treasure.
Wunderbar

best party band of all time
I saw Rod Stewart and The Faces in Seattle.with Foghat

What a tight band...wonderful
great stuff
Coooool, mehr davon!!!!!
Kenny's drums hitting hard.
Boh..einfach supie genial..
YEAH FACES YOU WERE THE BEST AND ROD STILL IS
Top quality!
1970 God i miss that year . 17teen and everything was a thrill (mabe to mutch psycadelic)..
perfect!
so refreshing
Das war damals eine meiner absoluten Lieblingsbands. Wurde dann später glattgebuerstet von Hitmachern. Die Kohle hat Rod Stewart wohl gescheffelt. Das feeling von damals kam nie wieder. 😢
Super!
Top😃👍
Not a weak link in this group!
I would like to see something from Supertramp from its beginnings. 1970-1973
Rod the Mod ! this absolutely kicks ass waaaaaaaaaay better than the other solo/groups that 3 went to IMO it's a bummer that Ronnie Wood has played 2nd fiddle to Keith Richards
Yeah Keith runs a closed shop after Brian died. Woody is a much better player.
@@jamesm.3967 or was assisted ? just sayin' 😜
Whata ya mean assited? Non-confratational...I just don't?
What a band......nuff said!!
Yeah ! 🎸🎙️☮️
sweet.
ABSOLUTE FUKN "L.E.G.E.N.D.S "
🔊🎧🔊 🎸🎸 💃💃🕺🏻🕺🏻 🙏🙏
could you add timestamps for each song
As soon as he started singing, I could hear the Sam Cooke influence.
❤️
😊❤
yeah
How’d ya like the show- they were drunk and out of tune, I loved it 👍
🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰
Par Excellence!
They are so tipsey..yet great
The sheer joy in there faces what a band sorry about the pun (faces) get it
Kennt jemand das genaue Datum des Konzertes ?
German TV broadcast from The Marquee in London, England on December 7, 1970.
HUGE INFLUENCE ON OUR BAND ......................AND OUR MUSIC OF COURSE
7 December 1970
Chapadaço!! Kkkk
Pound for pound better than the Stones could ever hope to be.
Wrong
Faces, who I liked a lot, never had the versatility/talent of the Stones, nothing to match Gimme Shekter,Tumblin dice,Bitch and lots of other songs too many to mention.
I LOVE both BANDS!! Don’t like the new Stones album at all though, sadly. The video for “ Angry “ is such trashy tripe, what were they (not) thinking. 😂
No doubt these great musicians we're hitting on all cylinders Ronnie Wood doing his best Clapton, Kenny Jones killing it,mod Rod at his blue's e best great fvcking shit!....can u still say shit I don't have my PC manual with me!
@@robertosborne7542They were all Mick Taylor uncredited - the Glimmer Twins were monumental song thieves...Bill Wyman, Brian Jones, Ian Stewart all complained likewise thru the years....
Ici la méchanceté sommeille, puisqu’ils sont devenus tels qu’ils se rêvaient 🦊
Naughty thugs ;-)
It's more blues and soul than rock
boy did these kids have a ball or what?
HIGH AS A KIGHT
If I could put one bad back together it wouldv be Faces.
In my opinion, the singers from the 60/70ties are most not to substitute for the bands they were or still be in. Could "a" Rod Stewart or Eric Burdon, Jim Morrison, Janis Joplin, Joe Cocker,, Mick Jagger, Ian Anderson, Robert Plant, Roger Daltrey... (Has to be continued) been substituted? Regards , enjoy the music and thanx for posting.
Swell
The Bollox.
God bless Ronnie lane & Ian, the rest are a disgrace.
Explain the rest are a disgrace please?
❤
