That was an awesome first day in South Dakota. The scenery, the roads, the places, and the company. It was great to have Mr and Mrs Blacktop devil with us on that adventure...!!!

I tried to explain to people when I went through Custer that the buffalo just didn’t care it was their place and they did what they wanted. You guys captured it perfectly

You're absolutely right. I've been to 42 states, and lived in 4. South Dakota is awesome. I may move there in 10 years, but we'll see.

DABEARD _ a few years back we went through the park on our way back to Hot Spring about 10pm and we got stopped by the herd in the road. We stopped and kept our distance but the decided to angle towards us. I could feel their breath as the walked in between the bikes and all around us. Then from behind me... a camera flash, cause my wife decided it was a great time to take pictures... and get us killed😬. I was terrified. But it was majestic.

yeah they were, the riding season in South Dakota is short, but the riding is amazing!
The Best riding I've ever done. I still have alot of the country to get to... but right now, thats at the top of the list
They are American Bison, not Buffalo. I learned the hard way when I got back from Sturgis as well.

That was way too close to those buffalo, I was holding my breath watching. Those guys can get awful skittish near people.
Sure was close! but nothing you can do at that point, just keep a close eye on them and stay out of their way. Oh, and don't pet the fluffy cows.
Been riding to Sturgis since 2003, crazy horse has not had not changed in 19 years, don't support it
