Before we start off it is very important to know there is no way (that I've seen yet) to have a population of 3000+ and have 0 homelessness in Tropico 6 (without issuing Free Rent Edict), so this tutorial is help you deal with the homeless issues in Tropico 6 by bringing it down as low as possible.
Everyone plays this game their own way, I try to show you how I go about identifying the homeless issues, what they need, why they are homeless in Tropico 6.

A very good video that covers the details of housing very well.
I wish there were a greater variety of home types especially in the modern era like high rise condos and varying heights for apartments. Also more types of office buildings
now it all makes snese why i have so many opened homes and so many homeless

Thats a good idea too, but sadly with how Tropico 6 is some of the 'goody goods' would rather sleep on the street than in a house that isnt good enough for them, makes no sense.

Wait so like. I checked the almanac thing and most of my homeless were broke, 20 of them were. But I had 34 bunkhouses with parks behind them, police stations around and bus stops but they still were homeless

You would lose the potential rent that the people living in the houses pay. That’s it though.

Good question, and to be honest with you I cant give you a for sure answer, what I can tell you is that it shouldnt, generally the same aspects of gameplay for both, at least thats hot it was in Tropico 5.
@@Jerutastic I have the xbox one version, I have no internet so mine isnt updated so should be the same version as this one. And I always have modern homes as soon as they become available in the second era and set their budget to max and housing quality is always 100 then no matter their location.
I notice that yours are not at 100 even with max budget and show off.

The PS5 update has different content from my old PS4 files. Plus it's doing an anniversary thing atm with hidden piñatas 🪅 in the game which give rewards etc. Finding them is fun. They hide in farms or sometimes at taverns etc, it's a nice feature.
Arrest broke homeless and fill prison with poor and make them generate you money :)

Yesterday I started a new game and the whole game my approval rating would never get above 7%, I had no homeless most of the time or unemployed and my happiness on everything was 30 or above, what did I do wrong?
The tropicans always compare their happiness to their carribeann neighbours so you probably have it at strong
checking back with tropico after a few years, are 'shacks' from tropico 4 definitely out of the game ? those things were horrible
coming from someone who only played 6, yes they're 'back', if you mean the shacks that people create when they're homeless.
That's more feeting, they are meant to be homeless
@@kinazura590 No back in Tropico 3- Tropico 4, the shacks are made out of metal sheets sloped together not even painted and that's it with a tire on roof for no reason, they look like they can only feat one person, but they feat one family

True, but not everyone wants to play that way, there are many ways to go about your Island and pleasing different factions. Your way isn’t right or wrong, but this is for the people that want to go about their island a different way.
But money!
This is the first thing I research and implement in the colonial era so that the people start off good. However, when the economy is better and everyone has a job, I stop using it because of financial reasons - I haven´t found a way to sustain that many residential buildings that don´t make a profit yet.
It´s tempting to build a lot of housing, but I´ve found that it´s not wise due to the way the economy works - it´s better to match the housing need regularly to the type of people who needs the homes instead. If a bunch of shacks pop up around my new mining-operation for instance, I look at: Will their salary make them "well off"? If so, I don´t build a bunkhouse but maybe two regular houses instead nearby. I sometimes click on the homeless person to see the wealth-level of them to better discern what type of residential building to build.
Another thing I pay attention to is how full my buildings are - I don´t build a new bunkhouse until my other bunkhouses in the near vicinity are making a profit - keep an eye on profit/upkeep costs to have an idea about when it´s feasible to build a new home.
Title is misleading. This isn’t solving homeless problem rather how to beautify. Most of the tips are nothing related to solving that problem.
