Lol your first mushroom video I saw you were stuttering and kinda unsure of what to say it seemed like but now you just seem like a pro
Congrats on the growth I literally just discovered you earlier & been binge watching
Lol those older videos are actually from my old channel that got taken down. I was really nervous back then

@@easybreezygrows love you’re confidence now and the vids I was gonna use this for my last cc did this work for you?
Stay easy breezy,thx for videos
5:04 you don’t need a marble. You need a small piece of broken glass in the jar. The marble will bruise the mycelium. You want to cut it. You don’t need to sterilize your hand to weight it and mix it because you’re gonna do that on a pressure cooker. You want to put air exchange in your jar. Micro pours tape works. Just drill small hole them put tape over. And self healing port for your syringe. That way you don’t risk contamination your culture. And you only want to put it in the pressure cooker for 10 min max. You don’t want to caramelice the honey. It wouldn’t be as nutritious.
It’s the kind & informative corrections for me (: 🤘🏽 thanks for not DOWNING this mans experience and still giving us tips!
I've found ordering the lids made for this is the best method too but all great tips
Couldn't I just suck up a bit of honey inside of a pre-existing spore syringe?
The fact that you’re messing up so much is so funny. I loved watching this

I am an absolute newbie! I’ve been watching a couple videos like yours for a few days now. I decided just to wing it lol. 1 tablespoon of honey in a 3/4 of a pint filled mason jar with 5 cc of spores, 3/8 inch hole in the top covered with micropore tape. Everything sterilized. Is there any benefit to this method over the other? Seems to me like the other method is more efficient as it's 2.5ml per jar where here it's 4 per

1 teaspoon (5ml) to 100 ml of water is 5%..try boiling a few slices of potato in the water..Grows so much better.
ive followed the hobby for years, have learned from EBG
It’s like your buddy trying to tell you! Perfect! 👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽🤣🤣🤣😂😂😂 I understand EVERYTHING you’re saying brosef!
I suggest shaking the jar up to oxygenate the water. Then doing that daily. Heating up the water forces the oxygen out and the mycelium needs the oxygen to grow quickly.
I was wondering that exact same thing. Making wine requires regular oxygenation at first and heating the must drives it out. I wondered the same with LC, and you answered my question. Thanks!
So doing that instead of the pressure cooking? And would it matter on the type of water for that?
@@hhhiiz no this doesn't mean no pressure cooker . This is about getting oxygen into the jar as co2 will build up but the microspore tape will help allow the co2 to escape . This shaking is purely to try to force extra oxygen into the jar as like all living matter it needs an abundance of oxygen to thrive
drill two holes in your lids, put filter patches over one, and high temp silicon over the other..

How do you store the jars after inoculating? Dark, light, room temp, fridge. ? You said they'll collinate in a few days but you didn't say how to store them during that time. And if we put them in room temp and they colonize after a few days, how do we store them after that and how long will they be good for? Lmk plz

Just inoculate
@@elijaha4279 right LOL what else do you do with it
Shoot it lol
Drink it and become a mushroom
Hope you will answer this. Is this to be added to an already prepared spore syringe to encourage the growth of mycelium?
It cultures in the jar then you add it to your substrate without using spores. It grows faster
The moment you put a hole in the lid the vacuum of the jar pulled in air and possible outside contamination.
That is the reason most people use gas exchange filters prior to pressure cooking.
Than do it in sab or glovebox
@@heikosoeder Unless you have some method to filter the air in the SAB, you still run the risk of random spores in the air contaminating the culture.
@@k98killer do it for years no Contis .
Thank you very much. What are the conditions (e.g temperature, light), that the jars need to be in while the mycelium is growing

u can also keep it in the fridge to slow growth to a crawl for long term storage
@@jaimedelgado7529 in fact, if you dont put it in hte fridge it'll stall out eventually, and it wont do well when you try to put your culture to grain
If I don't want to use a pressure cooker do I water bath for how long? Thank you
There's 2 types of mushroom growing content... The AI voice reading text to some images, and disorganized normal humans bumbling through things. 😂
I am a beekeeper AND a mushroom grower. Be VERY. careful using honey. You will be ok with supermarket cheap "honey" because it is not real honey. It is mostly sugar syrup and flavourings. If you use real honey direct from a beekeepers hive it will contain anti-fungals put there by the bees. (They do not want their honey fermenting in the comb). I use malt extract even though I have access to almost unlimited real honey.
Thanks I was about to make that mistake.
I steamed my jars before adding spores. The mycelium is growing.
Is the great value brand okay it says 100% honey but it's a cheap brand
@@xscope_x1583just used that today on my first jar so I hope it works 😂😂😂
Water ferments honey not fungus and unless water is introduced honey never goes bad even if fungus is present

"Tick Tock bro"
Was fun to watch but I wouldn't recommend drilling a hole when there is a pressure inside your container. It will be a huge source of contam for others. Fun to watch you man!
Then what should u do?
Do NOT put distilled water back in your spore syringe. It’s distilled, not sterile. Also do NOT reuse a needle thats not fresh from its packaging. These are both great ways to grow mold.
AWESOME thanks boss man
It doesnt matter if you dont have the micro pore tape on immeadetly after poking a hole? no risk of contamination?
Corn syrup is 70% ish so would this have to be taken into account?
Oh, my gosh, freaking hilarious.
I really tried to take this serious but I couldn't stop laughing.
! I really tried😂😂😂
I did remake this video! It's well worth the watch!!
iv been told 700ml water and 1g of honey. right or wrong?
how long does it take to germinate and be ready to use ?
From another video I saw about 10 days
If you punch your hole through some poly fill, the air rushing to fill the vacuum in the sterilized jar will be somewhat filtered... Good video.
even better, you can buy filter patches that stick on for cheap on amazon
Omfg i love you so much
Didn't you want to put a marble or something in it to break up the growth?
I keep getting solid brown spots in my agar. It doesn't matter whether it's inoculated or not. Ideas ?
This channel should be Space Man Mushrooms because of how many times you "space out" during it
Not sure if you said it but... How long do the spores last in your LC jar and how do you store it?
Storage and life are the same as a spore syringe about 3 months and in a cool dark area
@@easybreezygrows bro I've had spores sryinges that have lasted years in the freezer..
@@Enochulate88 freezer? how do u thaw it out
Thanks for sharing.how long can it be before you start using it.
Clearly once you have liquid culture...
does it need cool storage?
Honey being antibacterial and antimicrobial does it prevent contamination of the mycelium from fungi and bacteria that can harm the culture???
No. Honey is immune to microbes because of its high sugar content. When you dilute it it loses that.
@@ch3rnobog988 sugar content... u mean acidity
Im confused, the video after this says that u inject the spores directly into the jars so what is this actually for???
Helps to feed the spores
where did i store it? which temperature?😅🤔
I couldnt understand what was in that syringe ? spore plus water?
It’s a spore syringe.
thank you so cool
4cc for that amount? Seems like quite a bit...could be ENTIRELY wrong. Interested in other people's experience with this. I've been using maybe 1cc for 500ml and get great results so far. If I use a LC for Inoculation I use just enough to see a small piece of mycelium in the jar. Appreciate the content, you have given me assistance many a time when first starting, and still refer back to your videos if I forget something or just want to be sure lol. Thx again!
I been doing a couple of drops from syringe into 300ml LC with good outcomes
I definitely wouldn’t be wasting 5cc in this small of a jar
Does anyone know if you have to let liquid cukture sit before injecting it? Or can I use it right away
Where should I put the culture . What temperature? Sunlight or darkness?
Any luck finding information on this?
Please, how would I get to liquid in the syringe you added in the mixture?
How can u tell if ur spores are clean before inoculating the jar?
Buy them from a credible source. Or maybe crack open the foot of a mushroom and sample from the inside where there was no air contamination with a sterilized scalpel.
I cut the hole before I let the jar cool down 😔 then I realized that if it was too hot it could kill the spores?? Idk
Excuse me sir,,,, can this recipe be used on Straw mushrooms??? 🙏
Where did u get ur ant from ?
Please post update videos on this technique
Im alittle confused what was in the siring when you stuck it in the jar
does this stretch out a syringe so i could innoculate more brf cakes?
Yes, let a liquid culture colonize and you can use it to make more culture, and to inoculate a substrate. You can have infinite mushrooms my man
@@euclidpanarchy1502 nice so I can just chop up a big fruit of my choice and how it in there or does it have to be spores or myc
@@lornekoch5301 you CAN use a piece of a a fruiting mushroom, if you are careful, but there's a much higher chance of contamination
@@lornekoch5301 and you would want to use a very small piece, cut away from inside of hte base of hte mushroom, not to cut up a whole fruit
Are you gonna update on this method? I’m still a little confused on what to do after
I'll be showing different ways to do it. After it starts to culture you just suck it up in a syringe and use it just like spores

So, are we doing 4% like you said in the beginning, or 10%
4% not more then 10%
@@mauritzverster3435 thank you
Does it work to culture lions mane mycelium? Thanks in advance.
Hey Breezy, one of my jars that is lagging behind the others has formed 1 huge solitary pin. Most of it has colonised but the center section hasn't. Do you recommend ignoring the excessive pin and continue to fully colonise or put it in the fruiting chamber at the same time as the others? I'm not sure if the early pinning is a bad thing or not.
Depends on you, when it starts pinning alot more will be coming shortly so I'd probably move it to fruiting
@@easybreezygrows yeah fruit it, it's not going to fully colonize if it's already pinning, for whatever reason.
I find all these videos funny because these mushrooms grow in the wild and mother nature doesn't whip out a stove to sterilize everything.
One well-known home formula for a spore mixture involves first boiling one gallon of distilled water and adding one tablespoon of molasses and 1/4 teaspoon of salt. The molasses will provide energy for the mushrooms to grow, and the salt will prevent bacteria from growing.
Let the water cool to room temperature, then add in some full shredded morel mushrooms. Let the mixture sit for about two days, then strain it through cheesecloth and collect the liquid, which will contain the microscopic spores. As the mixture sits, you can prepare the soil in the planting area.
What is inside the string
@@gwens5093 can this be used for inoculating as well (for other types of mushrooms), and would one injecion of this be enough in a bag of growth medium?

Open air is fine just make sure the air is stagnant. No moving air

Make a sab from a old tote. Atleast lay on its side and work in there with the opening as your view window. I cut a small rectangle in mine instead of two small awkward hand/arm holes

I dont understand the pressure cooking... why would you pressure cook it if it is sealed, the pressure seems inecesarry, you could just dump the jar in hot water right?
Pressure cooking is pretty much just canning the glass jar and its contents. You're sterilising the contents and the container and literally denaturing whatever other live things are inside so that your spores/fungus have no competition and can flourish. Youre not just rinsing the outside.
@@DrQuaid I recently understood why, it is because water in the pressure cooker can reach 120 °C, and you could sterilize without a PC, but it sould need to be sterilizing for like 3 or 5 hours.
The thing that i dont understand is that if the jar is sealed, then the water inside it wont reach avove 100 °C, cus it would boil, but i gues they use a PC for the sides of the glass inerior
@@dienosorpo i think youre supposed to leave the canning ring slightly loose to let air out else the vapor pressure will explode the jar. Dont know. never tried it. But wait, the pressure cooker is heating water which makes it boil. the boiling water creates 15 lbs of pressure inside pressure cooker pushing in on the glass jars. but the glass jars have water in them at the same temperature as the boiling water so inside the jars the water would create the same pressure pushing out from the inside of the jar as the pressure pushing in from the outside of the jars from the water boiling outside of the jars. got to be equal pressure except for minor variations cause by temperature gradients due to the water heating at a slightly slower rate than the water in the PC. so pressure would vary slightly on heat up and cool down but equalize after some period of time once it reaches steady state
Is pressure cooking just for sterilization?
Yes
6.000000 or something crazy like that 😂
what is on the syringe u didn't tell us
Wait wait wait please answer this question once there is life should you put it back in a syringe and then inject into substrate??????
once the jar of culture is colonized, and there is visible mycelium in there, you would inject in into grain spawn, and then that would go into substrate once it's fully colonized.
4cc for 150 ml of water isnt that a little much ?
