I always find it interesting, the amount of dating some of these men and women do. He doesn't have the ambition to further his career, but has the motivation for his indiscretions. How did he live with himself, BEFORE the murder? I hope the children are in a safe and nurturing environment, and I'm so glad he didn't hurt them! TY for the upload, Dr.
    EDIT: What happened with the fentanyl? She would have been experiencing withdrawal, had to have been, unless SHE didn't use her patches...

    • @Throatzillaaa
      @Throatzillaaa Рік тому +8

      I think I have been told that fentanyl patches can take quite some time to actually begin relieving pain for the individual, like up to 12+ hours. Because fentanyl is so dangerous and dosed in micrograms, I think the patches work in that manner to very slowly release an adequate but safe amount of the drug to ease pain. But because she had no fentanyl in her bloodwork, I don't think she was using the patches regularly (maybe because of her fear of dependency? We can't know for sure). But I think since her husband stuck the two patches on her just a couple hours before she was removed from the home, no longer alive, explains why she didn't have it in her system. There is definitely no way she was wearing fentanyl patches daily without having it show up in a drug test.
      I wanted to ask what the signs you see in an adult that suggest possible overuse of alcohol. I don't mean to call into question your statement, I'm just genuinely curious. Is a bloated face part of that appearance? That is something I have noticed in older men who I believe are binge drinkers.

    In Defense of Shower Heads! .....And tunnel-vision
    I think the reason he almost got away with it is because the autopsy showed an enlarged heart (along with hardening of the arteries). This caused tunnel vision on part of the examiner. An enlarged heart is often the cause of sudden death (sometimes on the field) in 'healthy' athletes or those that abuse steroids. So when you find this along with hardening of the arteries is a 'regular' or unhealthy person it means their heart is working too hard and if there are no drugs in the person's system it's easy to go with 'unknown' or 'undetermined' causes of death (while assuming the enlarged/overworked heart went into arrhythmia causing death). She had a current history of falling that could explain some of the bruising. She had a lot of bruises... BUT there are 2 injuries that stood out and caused the doctor to determine that she had been strangled after reading the autopsy, but these are two very specific injuries and should have IMMEDIATELY raised a red flag (strangulation) when seen together! ...but may have gotten overlooked (or purposely ignored) during the autopsy because there were so many bruises, injuries. These 2 injuries (that show strangulation) should have been the very first thing the medical examiner looked for, when there is a death of a woman at home especially with bruising or evidence of a struggle, but the enlarged heart lead him/her down that pathway as the cause of death. Thank goodness for the doctor taking another look at the autopsy.

    How flippantly you say "She was prone to accidents" is pretty disheartening as it's more likely she's prone to cover up the DV she was experiencing. Straight up, if he beat her that much and strangled her to death, it was NOT the first time he physically abused her. No, we don't know that for a fact but that's def an aspect of this case you should bring up esp if you think it's probable he did it. If nothing else, you should bring it up because October is DV Awareness Month and people need to reminded that DV doesn't just affect celebrity couples.

    So I do actually know someone who fell and died in the shower. But I don't think it can really be that common for those who are not limited by age-related disability. I only know of one person, a friend of mine from highschool, who fell in the shower and immediately snapped his neck and died . It was really awful but it's called a "freak accident" for a reason. And it was obvious what had happened, he didn't have 80-something bruises and abrasions and a chipped tooth. How awful.

You are NOT supposed to wear them in the shower, it messes up the time release mechanism and quite a few people have been killed this way. However in this case it seems the patches were placed onto her after she died since there was no fentanyl in her blood
