Also I just finished your video and I love your energy and attitude! Congratulations on your success :) I hope to be like you
omg you have my dream life!! derm PA in cali working in telemedicine, can’t wait to see more from you!
Such a helpful video! I wanted to be a dermatology but now I'm thinking about being a PA but specializing in dermatology
The PA career is amazing! I didn't start as a derm PA, but did eventually find that that was my calling. I've seen the PA path is more flexible than some of the colleagues I have worked with.
love these videos! thank you sm!!
Thank you! I’ll have another one going up soon! 😉
I’m still working on my undergrad degree but I loved watching this video and I think I found a new interest in dermatology after this video! Thank you so much💗
Thanks for letting me know! Good luck!
Can you make a video talking about your undergrad experience and the application process. What volunteering things and where you did internships or shadowed ?
I am currently a teacher. What would it take for me to become a dermatologist assistant? Could I possibly get a job in a dermatologist’s office and go through the schooling as I work there?
I’m a highschool senior but I want to become a PA ASAP! Do you think it’s “risky” to get a non vocational bachelors degree? I have this fear that I won’t get into PA school on the first cycle and be left jobless for a while with a degree that isn’t so useful. Right now I only know of the bachelors in nursing but I don’t wanna spend 5 years on my bachelors. I would rather just do a non vocational degree like kinesiology ahhh
A few people in my PA program had a degree in kinesiology! You can major in what you like, as long as you complete the PA prerequisites
For undergrad I wanted to do a Bachelors of science in nursing Bc it’ll give me actual experience that’s slightly in the medical field. Do you think getting a degree like that would help getting into PA school? Ik a lot of ppl usually major in biology and other sciences but I’m not really interested in a degree like that.
I think a degree in nursing is certainly a good option for both PA school or NP school later in the future!
hi! im in my senior year of highschool, I was just wondering what majors you thought was best to major in for a future of a PA?
Biology will give you most of the requirements you need, but honestly, you can major in anything as long as you complete the pre-requisites for PA school!
@@LauraCoralPAC So i dont have to major in anything that is science related to get into PA school, but it would be recommended to major in a course like biology or nursing?
Hi Laura, current PA looking for a job in aesthetics, I’ve been in this field for over 4 years doing laser/light therapy. Looking to get into more of the skincare side of things. Do you know if curology would hire anyone from Los Angeles?
It’s worth a try! You can always apply! 😉 good luck!
My bachelors is only three degrees, will I still be able to apply to the PA school?
As long as you’ve met the prerequisites, you should be good!
Can you make a video about what pa school was like ?
Yes! Check out my other video on what PA School is like! ua-cam.com/video/yk8PSz2T51A/v-deo.html
The diplomats fellowship only applies to working derm pa(s)
Hola Laura !
Hola Marie!
Hiii Im looking to go to PA school! Would you say it’s worth it
Absolutely!
Do you know anything about Orthopedic PAs? I’m starting my senior year of undergrad and am looking to start PA school soon!
Exciting! This is one of the specialities I’ll be researching and exploring more on my channel, so stay tuned!
Hey most universities only offer a masters degree for PA ryt so I'm thinking to get specialized as dermatologist pa so I'm thinking for a bachelor's degree I go to a esthician school and after that go for pa and work as dermatology pa will that work ???? Please reply
Before you apply to PA masters program you will have to earn a bachelors degree (preferably in the sciences that way you will meet the master’s program prerequisites) + 1000’s of patient care experience hours (this is where you can work as a Medical Assistant or LVN etc in a dermatologist office)
Sounds like a good plan! I can’t guarantee you’ll get a derm job right out of school, but having experience in aesthetics may help!
I'm doing this exact plan right now. I'm about to graduate esthetician school and finishing up my bachelor. I plan on becoming a PA in dermatology as well!.
Are you still with Curology?
Hai Ma'am
Iam MD doctor from India
Can I work as a PA ,i just finished my Undergraduate degree called MBBS equal to MD in USA
Now I want to come to USA as primary route i can take PA
Help me is there any entrance exams for International students to study PA
This is not my area of expertise, but I do know you have to be accredited in the United States to work as a PA.
what is the benefit of seeing a PA when I can see an actual MD for the same price?
PAs have better bedside manners. Doctors are more likely to be cold, rude, or dismissive.
