love the vibes >> do you want to be a derm like your mom?
I know this might be a random and personal question, but are you renting in an apartment? And how much is your rent? Trying to get an idea cause Im planning to move out this year.
Rachel can you please tell me the website name of your moms spa. I’m looking for a place I can trust to get a skincare treatment. Im nervous to go to a place I find online because I’ve seen so many horror stories.
Thank you
Kendrick sockey missippiss 41 ❤❤❤❤❤❤😂😂😂😂😂🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉😢😢😢😢😮😮😮😮😅😅😅😊😊
A tip for working out/self care when u don’t want to: tell yourself “I deserve to be healthy, happy, clean, fit, etc” I deserve a good dinner, i deserve a clean body, etcccc
LOVE THIS
Thank you!
Thank you 🙏 love this!
Such a helpful tip. Thank you for sharing!!!
I don’t know why but when she said she reads her Bible I wanted to cry 😭 so beautiful
I start MA class in May and I’m 54 yrs old. I’m beyond excited; lifetime of office experience, some medical knowledge as I come from a long line of nurses.
AMAZING!
I'm 41 and I'm getting ready to take medical assistant classes in August. I'm excited for a change in career I hope the classes isn't hard. I'm excited to work as medical assistant.
Kudos to you! I know you're excited. Likewise, start medical school in 8 days and I'm enrolling in the CCMA program. In the end I will be certified. Being certified speaks a lot of your credentials. When you're certified you're marketable and will have a range of medical facilities to work in. Wishing you happy learning!
And after you finish your program. Take the exam to become certified, You'll feel good that you did, then you'll have the credentials and companies would love it even more.
How's it going? Are you enjoying it?
Rachel, as a Christian in the middle of praying for my next season of life..this video Blessed me!!!
I love your vlogs. I save them for when I’m on the treadmill like right now. You give me motivation.
Hi Rachel hope you are well and i always watching your vlog so motivational and inspiring, keep it up dear
Glad Vinny is doing better🥳✨
LOVE my Hokas! Worth every penny.
I work as a CMA with a Mohs surgeon and absolutely LOVE it! The hospital system I work for requires a medical assistant to be certified. However, the state I work in does not and providers can delegate certain tasks to MAs with direct or onsite supervision.
I love this!! I am an esthetician and just got my electrology license. Your mom's office is beautiful! You're so on point with everything you do!
Yay! Thank you!
Your video is so nice! Have a good day and November almost ends, Rachel!❤❤
In December I’m starting my MA journey I’m so nervous but I know that my grandma is looking down at me with a smile. She was a LVN and my mom is a CNA. Love this video! Thank you for sharing ☺️
I want to thank all the people that are in the medical field. They all save lives plus I’m also in the medical field as a medical assistant 👌
I work on a neuro floor in the hospital. I love my Hokas! The hospital floor (and job itself) is tough on my back. The Hokas definitely help.
I have the Hoka Gaviota 3’s! I’ve had them for maybe just under 2 years and love them! I’m a student pharmacist in my final year on clinical rotations so I spend about 9-10 hours walking all over the hospitals and the when I’m in the outpatient pharmacies I stand literally for like 7 hours at a time and they’ve definitely been comfortable the entire time! Definitely worth the hype in my opinion. I bought mine from Dicks Sporting Goods and the store had like every single model there so I spent about an hour trying on/walking in all of the models to see which model worked best for me! My other healthcare friends also like the brands On Cloud or Brooks! Highly recommended being able to try on the different shoes/brands so you can get a feel for them before purchasing!
Love this! I’m an MA at a derm office and you filmed and went over everything so perfectly!❤
Yayyy thank you!
This may be a weird question but I am currently going to college and trying to figure out my future. What degree or schooling did you have to do to get this kind of job.
@@abigailbarnett3747 i’m currently doing the MA course online that my school provided for me at a free cost, but u don’t need to go to school for it just search up online courses or courses u can take in ur area, it only takes months
Girls at Healthcare are the most bitter ones for same reason that they feel miserable at their jobs
More ttc videos please! Many of us are on the same journey 🤍 sending baby dust your way 🙏🏻
Awwwe May the lord bless you guys with a beautiful baby . I know in my heart his timing is perfect . ❤
Rachel! I’m so happy I found your channel! I love your vlogs! 😊
Yay! Thank you!
Just subscribed! I love these kinds of lifestyle videos and your voice is so soothing. 🥰
Yayyyy
Have a great week. Thanks for blessing us with this new vlog on Monday morning.
Thank you! Have a great week 🫶💖
Hey Rachel, I work in Physical Therapy and I own some Hoka One Ones Clifton 7s & I'd probs pass on them. Only because I've found them to be very uncomfortable as they have a high arch in them and make my feet sore. My new balance are waay more comfy and I wear those more often. I've also recently learned to look specifically for 'walking' shoes as they tend to be lighter. 'Running' shoes are just designed for exactly that.
I never get bored of watching your vlog Rachel,, have a blessed monday to you..
Thank you so much!
Hi Rachel! I just want to tell you that I adore your videos and content. Is like you are an older sister. Thank you for create this safe space!!!♥️♥️🙏🙏 XOXO from Spain 💖
Thank you so much!
Great video Rachel! How was your thanksgiving?
I cannot wait to spend time with my friend after work. It’s been a rough day so far. ❤❤❤❤❤
Hello,I hope you have a beautiful start to the week, you are super cute and special ❤️
This was so in depth and informative awesome job best video on ma ditl I've seen!!!
Thank you🥹🙏
I was working as a CCMAin pediatrics, I've been a CNA and a pct, that's why I've been pursuing my degree into becoming a nurse; very rewarding! Thank you for again your video. Alot of people don't know how much goes into this job.
Hey Rachel, thank you for sharing your ttc journey. I have been on the same journey for 2+ years and currently seeing a specialist. I was on the same boat with all the supplement intake. I currently switched over to bird & be and love it! It has all that you need, with the package I chose I take 7 pills. thought I might share this with you! Praying for you and wishing you the best of luck! ❣️🙏🏼
thank you for sharing your experience! it’s so interesting to see more of a cosmetic derm MA POV! I am in derm seeing more of treating skin cancers, eczema, rashes, ect… you definitely give me comfort in not really going into nursing being an MA currently!
That’s awesome I’m so glad you liked it! 🥰
I want to be a dermatologist and I start tomorrow at my new job as a derm MA, im so pumped! excited to see your content
That is SO exciting!!! Good luck 🥹🤗
Hoka shoes are the best for being on your feet for long hours . Or exercising!! They are perfect !
Hiiiii 👋🏼 New to your channel and I’m glad I stumbled upon it 🙂 if you haven’t already, are you willing to make a video on how your mom became a dermatologist and her experience? I’m currently an MA as well (going to be a yr this May) and I’m trying to figure out my next step in life..a bit clueless since there’s soooo many routes in the medical field and I came from a cooking background but I absolutely love dermatology and cosmetic related things. It’d be very much appreciated. Thank youuu in advance 😅😊
For some resaons I always love when vlogs or videos are uploaded on Mondays! ❤ It always makes me feel so productive and motivates me to get things done.
Hope you have an amazing week! 🥰🫶
@@RachelVinn thank you, you as well!
I just drove to my Upside gas station last night. Been using this thing for years, love it!
Love to hear it!!
I've always felt drawn to healthcare, but was in school for my second choice, which was Elementary Eduvatuon because I knew it would be easier and I just didn't feel smart enough to be in healthcare. Finally following my dreams and will be starting MA school in January at 25 and then eventually furthering my education in another healthcare field. I'm nervous, but excited 😊
Omg same !! Former theatre teacher here but been in medical data for the past two years ! I start my Medical Assistant program in March along with the Pharmacy Tech program…..then after i want to travel with that job title & eventually become an Anesthesiologist Tech….I have a Bachelor’s in theatre & a Masters in Criminology but for some reason I’ve been so drawn into healthcare as well….BLESSINGS TO U & UR JOURNEY 💞
I graduate in May this year and I’ll be working in pediatrics as an MA!
Good morning Rachel happy Monday morning and I hope you having amazing day today and I loved your vlogs and you are amazing Supporter
Hey! Rachel I am really really looking forward to your vlogs so so much you are my inspiration and I wish you reach 100K Subscribers very very very soon!😭✨💞
Liquid vitamins will be your best friend. The best benefit is it’ll give you more energy than pill vitamins and it works faster
The Hoka Bondi 7’s will save your feet and back as a healthcare worker! I love them
Amazing thank you!
I absolutely agree with Camille on this ^ !!!
At home I use Costco as they're usually cheaper than Upside in my area, but once a year I take a 3000 mile road trip in my Prius from California to Texas and back and I use Upside the whole time. It's super helpful.
Yessss it’s the best! 😍
Love this videooooo👏🏾 do you have the link to your work bag? I love the size
I love this work day vlog there my favorite to watch them
Yay! Thank you!
Love your videos ❤
sooo interesting!! loved this!
Thank you!!
Im a nurse in the hospital, I LOVE HOKAS, i wear them everyday. I have the Clifton 2's and i get so many compliments too, cause some people don't like how geriatric some of them can look, but they like how mine look, and i do too.
Awesome!!! I want the all white ones 🤗
I really enjoyed, this video. ❤ can you do a video dermatology specialist the pros and cons 😊
I am studying for my CCMA and I am so excited
Yay! Good luck
(Just a little bit on cerification or need for one)In regards to certification for MA's. It is state by state regulated and depending on the field/clinic.
NCMA - Nationally Certified Medical Assistant is one of your possible certification available. Most big clinic/hospitals prefer certified.
CMA- Certified Medical Assistant is also available plus others I'm sure.
Being in the medical field is great, it can be very helpful if you get some basic understanding of the in's and out's of terminology and disease processes to help you in basic patient care.
I liked the POV vlog, very interesting to see, thank you for sharing!
What accreditation does the school need ? Mine says COE and I can take exams for the rma through Amt
Hy rachel.....i was eagerly waiting to get some knowledge about medical assistant...... fortunately i saw your vlog just now....and thank you so much for sharing your knowledge..... because i enquired related to this job many of my friends....they are unaware of this..... thanks 😍
Your video was wonderful to watch I ❤this was great
Thank you so much!
Just bought a nespresso thanks to you. Hoping it keeps me from going to coffee shops!🤞🏼
Amazing Hope you enjoy it!
Wow I work at a derm office & let me tell you, your office is a derm to work for everything is so easily accessible
I love this video. 💗I'm currently in school to receive my NRCMA. I have been searching between the two fields and this video helped me out more. BTW I love how beautiful and clean this office is!!
I’m a MA in Pain Management and actually got a degree in it! It’s not required but I needed my Certified clinical medical assistant and I got 3 other certificates with my degree! Always wanted to do dermatology loved your video ❤
how long did all that schooling take
Did u do us career institute?
@@BishimDeja following because this is one of the online courses I’m looking at too
@@marye9751 same
I laughed so much, I had to subscribe! I cannot wait to become a CMA
I think the best are the sketcher’s for nursing
Working on my medical assistant degree..
your video is extremely helpful and motivational thank you
How is it going so far? I want to go to school to be an MA for gynecology/obstetrics, even though I’m 27 years old so Idk if it’s to late to go to school.😅
@@sierra_96it’s never too late 😊
Can you explain the difference between all the treatments you guys do and what they help with.
THANK YOU!!! You made my decision for becoming a medical assistant for dermatology. I've been wanting to get into the dermatology scene for a long time but just didn't know how to. So thank you.
Job responsibilities vary!! Something’s she does show I do as well as an MA in Derm, but sometimes there is a lot more too it! Examples are biopsies, light therapy treatments, procedures, injections, injection training / education for pts, acting as a scribe for the provider, gathering patient information. You get paid more being a Certified Medical Assistant as well as a better job title if the job offers it “Dermatology technician” Good luck to you! It is definitely fun and interesting, you learn something new everyday!
@@tinavang6068 You just gave me goosebumps!!! You make me want to go to school right now
What do you recommend for dark spots on face? I have one from being pregnant. Thank you!
Currently studying and undergoing a two year term through highschool to be a clinical/administrative medical assistant in a provides office/doctors office.
Hi, love your video. Im an esthetician and would like to go to M A school. Will love to work for a Derm.
My MA program does not have a clinical portion. So I would like to volunteer as an MA before getting hired. How should I go about reaching out to clinics? Any advice? Thanks 😊
I can’t believe she’s your mom 😮. She looks so young omg
I’m also a Non-Certified MA, it’s not required in Texas & I’m actually making more than some certified ones.
I just l love uu 😍🥰you make me feel better
🥹
❤how u start your day reading your Bible and how cool to become the best due to working with your mom how cool is that! Great video. I was a dental assistant but thinking about medical assistant
depending on where you live medical assistants and dental assistants make about the sam pay! dental assistants most times makes more money!
Wish upside was available in Canada. I take 14 supplements in a day also. Also where I live you need to have a diploma In Hospital Unit Clerk or Medical Office Assistant from a accredited institution in order to work in a speciality clinic or hospital. So interesting how different counties can vary things like this! 😊
Medical Assistants in Illinois are very limited in what they are allowed to do. No medication prep at all. Mostly just CNA stuff.
Yup! I'm from Canada and recently completed my Health Unit Clerk certification. Just got a job working in Cancer Care!
Ok in my state and a couple of other states I lived in, you cannot work as an MA without graduating from accredited college and completing your externship. All the jobs I applied to before needed proof of your MA diploma along with proof of the accredited college that you attended, and your completion of an externship. There was only one state that I lived in that hired people who weren’t MA’s and trained them to take vitals etc. My previous clinic couldn’t find MA’s so they started to hired CNA’s to help room patients, but that was the only thing the CNA’s can do. They were not allowed to do vaccines, lab work etc. MA’s are really in high demand. My advice is that if you want to be a MA, go to school for it. Even if you are allowed to work in a state that doesn’t require you to have the schooling for it, you may not be able to work or get a job as a MA in another state that needs the required documentations. All except one clinic I’ve worked at would not take the risk of just hiring and training someone who was not an MA to become an MA to work in the clinic.
This was very helpful! What is the starting salary for an MA ? I’m hearing different things from word of mouth and from online. It would be very helpful! Thank you!
Can you do a video on how u became a medical assistant and the whole process
Was it hard to catch on as a medical assistant like the tasks you have to do for the day? Or did the school you went to tell you how to set up everything? If that makes sense lol.
It’s so funny, yesterday I watched her moms day in the life of a dermatologist, and didn’t even mean to but watched this one today then recognized it was the same lady! Nice video
That's awesome! thanks for watching
I'm a nurse and wear Hokas to work right now. They're great, but I think they are slightly overrated honestly. It totally depends on your preference and style of foot. I think I'll try something else next time. Truly love my Brooks the most so far.
I have Brooks. Love them❤️
Exactly thank you!!!
I am interviewing for an MA position at a Dermatology and skin cancer clinic tomorrow , Im manifesting the job as MINES . this is refreshing to watch thank you .
How did everything go? 😊
Hi Rachael is medical assistant hard ? I’m thinking about doing it in January and I have a learning disability
Question: if I graduated 10yrs ago from a program but have no experience because have never worked as a MA would it be possible to still be hired? Anyone know?
I have a Medical Assistant certificate, but I’ve never used it. My fist language isn’t English. At the time when I graduated I was afraid to get a job where patients would have a hard time understanding my broken English. I ended up working fast food. Now I feel confident and would like to work in a clinical environment, but I am afraid that they won’t hire me because it’s been so long since I got the certificate. (I live in NYS)
does those products available in like walmart or target?
Hoka’ s are amazing!!!
the ones i want are backordered until JUNE!
What would you recommend for back acne ??
This video popped up in my suggestions. I am glad it did, I have been in school for medical assisting for a little over a year, and I’ve been looking for externship sites between dermatology and hospitals and I have a possible one in dermatology so this video is super helpful for me. Thank you! 🤍🩺
I’m so glad you found it helpful! Wishing you the best in your career 💞🤗
Im looking into the aesthetics field now im looking for school in my city
Any recommendations for someone who's already certified but hasn't been in the field for a while? I ended up quitting my first and only MA job a year and a half ago, then going back to school, then quitting that and now I want to go back, I'm just not sure how hirable I'm gonna be after being out for so long.
Im 41, i made a decision i want to be in the medical field and do medical assistant. Ive been doing logistics/supply work with government on base and when i was military and im just tired of all the heavy lifting of material and just the slow promotions and drama at work. Anyways, i hope i will enjoy medical assistant and im excited for this change. I just hope the classes isnt hard.
The classes aren't hard. Most of them are fun (if you're interested in medicine-and clearly you are :) you will do GREAT!!! GO FOR IT, YOU GOT THIS!!!
HI rachel, just stumbled upon your channel and loved it. Hey, just being curious and do not intend to be rude, hmmmm I am wondering if you have any plans to take over your mom's practice in the future??? do you intend to go back to medical school???
I dont think i'll ever go to medical school, i dont think I'm passionate enough about it! I will probably stay helping her in this way :)
Hi sweetie I have a question is the certificate off medical assistance get expired in tow years and it’s have to renew it ? Or not
I'm thinking of changing careers. I really been looking at MA. I know its way lot better than driving jobs plus it's very good pay. I decided I want to get into this and get 4 years under my beltbanf get into Certified medical assistant. At least I'll be making good money and I'll be working in a clean environment mainly in a hospital.
i like how in the office your referred to your mom as doctor and outside as mom
its so awkward calling her mom in the office!
The Hokas are SOOO worth it!!
amazing!! i think im going to get them
Had an interview for a medical assistant at a dermatologist hoping I hear good news 🎉
woohooo!!!!
Rachelll... oh how i just like you sis... weldone sis👍
Do medical assistants need to get the COVID vaccine to secure a job? Thank you 🙏
Question: I work as a unit lead medical assistant here in guam in oncology department cancer center but i’m nursing grad in Philippines and not certified medical assistant Im a able to find job in states workout being certified?
I am not in medicine, I'm a teacher and I wear hokas often. I'm on my feet nearly all day. I also run and wear hokas the last two pairs, so my ones I wear to work are downgraded from my training
Great to know thank you!
So, I start school for MA this month and my goal is to be a dermatology MA cause i am also a licensed Esthetician. My husband is in the military and with moving around MA is a high demand job within military hospitals. Your video helped me so much!
I want to be an esthetician and I just started MA school. how has it been being an esthetician? did u work for yourself?
