My favorite perfume of all time is Ysatis because my mom wore it and introduced it to me in my teens. I was in my 20s when I was allowed to wear it and has been a staple in my collection for many years! I’m 50 now and love all Givenchy fragrances!
Maria Mendez Diaz - what an incredible signature scent you and your mom have shared... so sophisticated! Do you mind if I ask what other Givenchy scents you love? I’m trying to learn more about them. Thank you again + stay in touch!
I started wearing this after discovering the sample in a magazine back in 1990 or 91, I had more compliments wearing this than anything. I was 21, I’m almost 54, I think I will buy it again after all these years.
Awe.... Ysatis.... you bring me comfort and peace with a sincere and never ending smile. Have had you one my list to purchase for quite some time but tonight..... I found you on a TJ Max cash register aisle. It's ok don't feel sad, I chose you and brought you home to place with all your cherished friends on my dresser. Ysatis, you will be standing proudly with Coco and Knowing!
As always, watching your videos is such a lovely education! Your descriptions of each scent are always fabulous! How cool that your mom’s signature scent was Halston! And that gorgeous bottle-what a work of art...love it! Well done! 😎💜🌹✌️⚡️
Syha Zhooat I am so flattered and honored! I love learning, too, and learn from all of you. Thank you for your kind encouragement and please stay in touch.
I LOVE the smell of Ysatis, but it struggles to perform on my skin. ☹ I wish that it had just a little more civet, and that it was louder. 😆 Haha! It's still gorgeous, though. I'm wearing it right now. 😁 Oh! And, this is the first time that I saw you with brown hair!
I orederd my Ysatis and only just received it. My o my! How i have now fallen in love with this perfume. I have no past related to this perfume and i can judge on a neutral note - It is a timeless perfume! For me it's slightly like a substle Sicily (by D&G which is discontinued). In cold weather a few spray should do. Glad i got this
So excited to read this. I apologize for the delay as I have been under the weather. I am so glad you are enjoying Ysatis! It has so much beauty + personality, I’m sure like it’s wearer!
Thanks for reminding me about YSatis - I used to wear it in the 80s and loved it. Maybe time to bring it back! Thanks for making me so excited to add perfume to my cover wardrobe.
Hi Amy. That is also my daughter’s name; and I don’t know if your name is spelled that way. I got a beautiful vintage bottle of almost two ounces of Ysatis today from Etsy, and the bottle is beautiful and in good shape and different than your, and the scent is beautiful and strong, and I sprayed it on; and it’s beautiful. I think it will my signature scent. I got it for a great price. I ordered today a miniature bottle from Etsy also for a good price, and it is for my purse. Thank you for your review. Take Care.😊

Really enjoy your videos. You have so much knowledge and yet your personality shines and you make it entertaining. I feel like I’m sitting in your living room drinking a glass of wine chatting about perfume. 😂 I have a question for the teacher. I just recently learned about civet being in perfumes. Do they still use it or is it synthetic now? Please say it’s synthetic. I don’t want any civets harmed so I can smell good.
Thank you for warming my heart with this post and your encouragement. Re: civet, i believe it is no longer excreted from the animal since the 70s or 80s. I believe what is used now is civet-one, a synthetic representation!
I recently returned to my Ysatis, and I love it, I layer it, and now I'm terrified of running out of it! Halston was my signature scent when I was 16, but by the time I turned 17, it smelled like a pile of burning leaves on me. :(
@@savorsalvagescent2300 Indeed, to all of the above. I just dug it out again after several years being out of rotation. I've got lots of oldies, but goodies, I'm giving new life to, including Alchimie. Such a pretty little bottle on that one, too.
Om abdulrahman - thanks so very much for subscribing and for your kind feedback!! I don’t have many true vintages... as you say they are hard to find... but if I see one that’s inexpensive I grab it!! :) Hope you have a wonderful day!
Savor Salvage Scent thank you dear , yes i bought some of the fragrances that i used to wear back in the 90s “in a very very good prices “such as dolce vita, organza and white diomand but to my sad surprise they dont smell as i remember them , either some not is missing or not powerful or rich enough as in those old perfumes used to love which made me think that they were reformilated Excuse my English I’m not a native speaker :)
Ysatis is being sold again. I saw it at lord and Taylor among other places. Is it reformulated or does it smell like it did in the 80s? I have unfortunately bought a couple of perfumes and I knew right away they were either fake or reformulated, they smelled like bug spray but my originals still smell good.
Hi there! I only have a vintage bottle so unfortunately can’t compare. I will look for it when I’m out, though! Or maybe another youtuber had a comparison video? Best to you!
The current Ysatis is reformulated and IMO nothing like the original 1984 which was my favorite ever. The new fragrance shouldn't use the name! I've purchased some vintage from Etsy but nothing is coming close. So sad!
Purchased some YSTAITS recently at a yard sale half full bottle. Do you know how long this perfume would be good for? It seems really strong smelling but it smells good to me. The older the perfume does the color get darker because mine is like a dark yellow. I just don’t know if it’s gone bad. Because I don’t know how old it is. Thank you
What a great find! While experiences vary, I have only had 2-3 bottles of perfume go bad while collecting 300+ over 30 years. I can’t tell for sure how the person before your cared for it, but many perfumes will get darker w/ age (and/or the older ingredients could have been more concentrated). Sometimes with age certain top notes will fade, but rarely do mine go bad, in fact, sometimes they get better over the years like wine!! Thanks for watching + posting and please stay in touch.
Hi! I knew Ysatys by a friend in the University. At that time, 90's all were strong perfumes which use all day. Another friend wear Tresor. It's rare that I remembered perfectly them but I don't know what I used. Maybe Anaís Anaís, Nina (the white bottle). Now I have both and for me they are the same, maybe they don't have the same proyection or durability but today result strong enough. The bottle is amazing (art deco?). I have Amarige and Organza. Love, love Amarige!! I had Eau de Givenchy (blue cap), It was so beautiful! Now I want L'Interdit and Ange ou Demon. Givenchy is a master house for me. Hace a nice day! Do you have a Halston review?
Hello, Amy, I just got my Ysatis today and I love it, it's a joy for my heart ♥️. I have to wear it more to fully enjoy it. Also in the same order I received Parfum de peau (perfume of the skin) by Claude Montana, which is another spectacular fragrance of the 80's. His fashion is amazing. I hope you can find it, I'm curious about your opinion on it :)
@@parfecto7716 I am so happy to hear from you!! Ysatis is one of my close friend’s signature scents... smells amazing! So glad you like it. I have always wanted to try the Montana scents. They sound like something I’d love and I just admit I love those bottles! Thank you for the tip,
