Love your explanations and appreciate the alternatives you provide, and that your build guide exactly matches what you explain here lol. It makes so much more sense now haha. I’m new to the genre and learning D4 with zero in game info has been a beast. Thanks again!
Hi, Really apreciate your videos, clear & sharp, really good job ;) One comment since I play this build as my main build since a few days (after the nerf of ball lightning rip :) ) A way to play it and perhaps more efficient is = - keeping Esu's Ferocity / Ancient Flame for the AS (and put it on the amulet) - use Flickersteps instead of Esu's boots to keep the permanent uptime for the Ultime - replacing the Basic skill AS aspect by the control aspect - thanks to flickerstep (very good uptime for evade) -> replace disobediance by Juggernaut's Aspect much more efficient in terms of Total Armor with nearly no drawback That's a proposition :)
Thanks for showing a variant to esus ferocity - I personally don't like to use bugs in my build, simply for the reason that I don't know when they get fixed and I don't want my build to get worse from a bugfix. Also 14:51 nobody really has any builds as busted as barb in the moment. Imo, the classes are relatively balanced (okay, maybe not balanced, but all of them are strong enough to do anything in the game, which is fine enough in my books). Necro has insanely good dps but is slow as hell, sorcerer has some really diverse builds, maybe not as crazy strong as the others, but lots of variety, fast and still able to clear anything the game throws at you, druid has less diversity, but quick as well and good damage numbers, rogue with the crazy high damage numbers, fast as heck, but less tanky - just pick your flavour and roll with it. It isn't like season 0 or 1, where sorcs and barbs were weak as f and had little to no options (barbs pretty much locked in whirlwind and sorcs were ice shards or nothing).
i typically dont like to structure my builds around bugs either, i thought they were fixing it this season. maybe mid season patch. but ill have the variant in place
@@Lurkin17 Thats probably the best way to handle that. Thats also why I didn't go with ball lightning last season. Now that build is basically gone. Although I don't nececarily understand why- it should still be a valid build- it was in season 1 and worked well enough to clear most of anything and should still do so. But somehow nobody even tried to do that.
Been using similar build (thx to you) for days now. Just not lightning spear but frost nova. Decided that it is more reliable cc/vulnerable. Might go back to lightning spear because I feel like construct viziers destroy me and lightning spear might stun them outside meele range. got a few questions: 1) Why not edgemaster aspect? we always at max mana so +20% skill damage sounds nice? doesnt it buff like all our dmg pretty much? without conditions? 2) how about that defensive aspect that reduces damage by 20% for 6sec after arc lash? 3) in one of your comments I saw that imbiber works well. I had similar feeling when I was playing it (had like +80% dmg when healthy) but people told me not to play it because it is not multiplier or something. Now you saying it works well. how on earth you are figuring out whats bugged and whats not? like in mobalytics you mentioning that tactician bugged, shrreding blades bugged...how is it possible to figure out? visually there is insane amount of clutter to be able to tell specific numbers realiably
i dont think edge will buff paingorgers thats the issue. it will buff our skill damage, but when you equip edge you dont see the tooltip go up at all. its just eeked out value wise by conceited and storm swell too
Yeah I found it funny as well on what triggers Paingorgers as well. Was wondering if Fire Bolt would trigger it on Sorcs. I play Barb almost exclusively and to any Barbs out there, Paingorgers procs off of the Two-Handed Sword Expertise as well. Also triggers off of Berserk Ripping. So the bleed is quite interesting. Only issue is that it feels really slow on Barbs.
if you spend 40 mana and proc the ice blades it does not actually reduce the cooldown of your abilities. it seams like the only ice blades that does it is your actual ability.
no im aware of what it says. but if you just let the ice blade summon is does not reduce the cooldown of anything. ive tested this a few times. i could be missing something but every time i test on dummies the onle blade that reduces any cooldowns is the one on the skill bar@@Lurkin17
I just swapped from a build like this to Blizzard and instantly regret it. Arc lash paingorgers add clear and survivability was way more fun in vaults and it’s interactions with crackling energy and lightning spear are awesome.
Was running similar build centered around conjuration. It has more aoe dps, less single targer dps, permanent ultimate and capable of 20+ stacks of conjuration mastery. Didn't know about firebolt interaction tho. Seems this build is better in terms of single target deeps, around the same survivability and less aoe (that is still enough for both helltides and high nms). One thing I'd add is to put a few of stray paragon into attack speed. Also seems paragon is new player friendly cause it is heavy on resists, so in endgame you pull point outta there
lurkin if you dont know esus ferocity passive is working whit all skills and with aspect of ancient flames you can power up all sorcerer builds and frigid breeze passive too is working with all skills meteor, flame wall etc is really good. love your builds.
