if you haven't already seen it, you should review the Rail Wars! anime. it's about the Japanese railway system... that's all I'll say on that other than it's long overdue for a season 2.
The Anime never goes into much detail but like Marco said, every State Alchemist comes up with their own method of encrypting their alchemical research, the Manga and trivia sections reveal a few of these methods, Marcoh's as stated is hidden as a cookbook, Ed disguises his as a Travel Log, and Roy's is written out as a date book
We also see Roys Dating encryption when they are trying to catch an Homonculus a while back, When Riza seemingly left He started calling what to the soldiers around was some lover or such ...

Luke figuring out in seconds, that Hohenheim is building the new Amestrian transmutation circle and one minute later Luke believing Rose is the boy's mother, after he told us more than once, that he thought, she may have some more screen time after the first episodes is the most Luke thing Luke could possibly do... 😂
He can be a brilliant idiot sometimes, makes it all the better to watch. Hilarious sometimes when he's so close to figuring it out then takes a hard turn and lukes out.

Hohenhiem DIDNT make the new amestrian transmutation circle. That was *SPOILERS*
that was scar and the other ishvallans that did that. They did that so people can use alchemy freely without the buffer of father's philosopher's Stone underground. Hohenhiem made a circle that would undo the stealing of people's souls.

I remember reading the chapter where Yoki started becoming useful. Having first started the series with the 2003 anime before picking up the manga, I was always amused by Yoki's character, but baffled by his inclusion... until we got to this mine. This manga was still in publication at the time and was in a monthly magazine, so each month during this arc of the story was incredible to read. I was flabbergasted by Yoki's pinnacle, which only grew each coming. I mean, this was after years of seeing Yoki as the bumbling bafoon and all of the sudden, he was the star of the series and savior of our heroes through both his seemingly useless experiences and utterly dorkiness. Each month I was howling with laughter in disbelief over Yoki being useful. He is a treasure to behold!

I love the detail in this episode that even though Bradley scattered Mustang's men in an effort to put Mustang in check, all that ended up doing was giving Mustang a better idea of what was happening around the country because his men were there to witness what was happening and send word back. Such a clever detail and really showcases the arrogance of the homunculi.
Hohenheim was not looking for Pride specifically, but for the tunnel. He also doesn't have any knowledge of the transmutation circle designed by Scar's brother, so he can't have been building it. They are going to need a different way of creating the circle.
The footprints were in snow inside the tunnel. Blizzards will push snow into tunnels, that's how it got there in the first place, but won't push much snow inside. Not enough to cover what's already inside after just one storm, especially if the wind wasn't blowing directly into the tunnel. It does make sense.
Luke lives in UK, we don't get much snow here, not even mentioning blizzards ;)

Yeah, I agree at the beginning that FMA Brotherhood has so much in the story that you get exposed to different "genres" in a way by watching it. It's one of the good series for new anime fans.
And yep, Rose is the girl the brothers saved in the earlier episodes. She does have some main character feel to her, huh? She was given a bigger role in the 2003 anime although I'm not sure if that was a good thing or a bad thing cause she was put through hell in the original series.
I don't know what your schedule is in watching this series so it's hard to make comments on certain things you say in this video (even if it's just vaguely agreeing/disagreeing with your theories) cause I might accidentally spoil something lol. I guess all I could say is that hearing your theories now and comparing them to the ones you made back when you started watching this, the ones now show that you're starting to get the characters and how things work in the series.
Basically Hohenheim did not bring Alkahestry to Xing they had experimentend on their own in the art of using the energy flow for healing, when Hohenheim came to them be gave them knowledge of Xerxes Alchemie and they combined it with their art to what is known as Alkahestry.
I mean, Hoenheim is a philosopher's stone, so he's able to transmute just by thinking about it and bypass equivalent exchange. Even though the latter has not been observed. I believe he wants to keep himself humble and within the teachings that he has so much respect for. That's just head-cannan.
Hoenheim respects the teachings as he doesn't wish to waste the life (souls) that were forcibly made into his body. As transmutations w/o equivalent exchange is fueled by lifeforce/soul energy. Long story short, he doesn't want to waste a person's life for convenience.

I just wanted to point out that the transmutation circle around Amestris might not be new info for us or some of the people on the group but for some others that's actually new. That info was not easy to share due to a variety of circumstances.
In snowy regions, large facilities with open doors build up large amounts of snow in their entrances that are more than deep enough to leave footprints, and it would take a long time for the footprints in the entrance or more buried/sheltered areas to be filled in, even during a massive snowstorm
I think Al's voice always comes from the piece of armor the seal is on. You might notice that whenever his head gets knocked off, the light disappears from the eyes. And Al can't control body parts that are separated from his torso. That's why Ed was surprised by that suit of armor that had two souls bound to it--one to the head and one to the body, so they could operate separately. Another example is the voice coming from the one piece of metal Barry the Butcher's seal was on after he got smashed to pieces. To take it to the extreme, you could destroy 99% of Al's armor until just a bit of metal with the seal on it was left, and he'd still be a conscious piece of metal.
about Hoenheims powers. the fact that he Has/Is a Philosipher stone means that he does not need a Circle or a Drawn Alchemy Circle to do his alchemy, seemingly Father and Kimbly can just use the stone like a battery to bypass the process and materials needed to get the results they want.
Scar has his Brothers arm which was Tattoo'd with Circles to essentially Deconstruct and material. To break down material, but not to build like how normal alchemists do.
Mei can quickly draw a circle where she is and Transfer that effect to a different location using Kunai's
Edward and anyone who has seen the truth uses their hands as a circle, and their body as the Knowledge needed to perform the alchemy. essentially they are a alchemy circle.
Normal Alchemists like Roy Mustang draws a circle on their gloves and manipulate alchemy directly. Water freezes/boils. Chemicals in the air are ignited by Roys Flint Gloves when he makes a spark, and how you can shirft the dirt into stone and create Glorious Statues passed down the Armstrong Line for Generations.

11:59 to summarize what’s been said previously- they have done multiple massacres throughout the years. Each one was to make a philosopher stone which became one of the 7 sins. The massacres that are taking place in the story currently are for the country wide circle. The purpose of which, has not been made clear yet.
The Sins, except for Wrath, were made from the souls within Father. It is shown clearly that Envy has people from Xerxes within him. The only stones made since then have been the ones used to try and make Wrath, the one Marcoh has, the 2 Kimblee has, and the many made for a purpose wh8ch is currently still a spoiler.

Hohenheim and Father brought Alchemy to the East and West respectedly it not mention if they stuck around to Learn more about it from the new Users of Alchemy, just that they teached the Foundational part of alchemy.
Also both do not need to clap in order to Transmute, but Hohenheim is not using his stone when he does alchemy since blue is Normal Alchemy and Red is when a stone is being used.
Did you forget that van hohenheim is a living philosopher stone. That was the point of the flashback and why he does alchemy so diffrently
I don't think Hoenheim knows of Scar's Brother's research yet - but he's been making his own plan (remember how he was spilling his own blood at certain points while listing out names?) As for the Alkahestry Circle - why build the whole thing when Father has already made a nice country-wide circle already? The research notes show the Human Transmutation Circle on one side and are then flipped to show the Alkahestry Circle, as if they can both exist on the same base circle.
Pride/Selim is the same type of homunculus as Father/Dwarf in the flask, Homunculus.The kind that takes on the form of an ash cloud and will die outside of a certain environment. Which is why Father was inside a flask in the first place. The word Homunculus literally means 'Perfectly formed miniature human being'. I use that joke on my sister all the time.
Hoenhime is a philosophers stone, it's fused to his soul. The bond between him and the stone allows him to transmute by thinking about it. A normal person would have to hold the stone in hand and think about it, or draw a circle and use the stone to amplify the result. We see kimbly use the stone both ways, whilst it's swallowed he uses the transmutation circle on his hands and amplifys it, but also uses the stone for instant destruction when needed like the mineshaft against Ed.
Noooo Luke, please dont start being influenced by criticisms in comments where you feel the need to justify yourself for every statement or for every theory that turned out wrong. IT'S ALL FIIINEEE, dont listen to immature people who dont get that this is your first time watching and that you WILL forget some important details. Just enjoy the show for yourself mate.

- I actually left a comment on the last video about the footprints if you're still unsure how they worked!
- The boys' mother was named Trisha. Rose was the one that was religious for the sake of having her fiance resurrected. Ed and Al left her with encouragement as the riots were starting in retaliation to Cornello. That was all the way back at episode 2!
- Essentially Pride's shadows start from his main body, they can link up to the tunnels so long as Pride stays inside the circle. But they will always spawn directly from his body. Keeping him at the center means he can reach any point in the tunnels as quickly as possible.
- One thing about Hoenheim is that while he is a godlike alchemist, he is a pacifist. He doesn't raise a hand in violence, even with alchemy. So while he and Father are essentially the same power level, Hoenheim only functions in healing and capturing. So he's at a disadvantage combatively. That's why he was so quick to give up against Pride after not being able to contain him.
- Kimblee essentially told Pride the Briggs soldiers were too tough to handle single handedly. To which Pride said to use their strength to their advantage. If he can't kill the Briggs soldiers, bring them something to kill instead.
- We do know from flashbacks that Hoenheim left his family because he put together that the pattern of war that led to the cricle in Xerxes was happening in Amestris.
We've also seen him spilling his blood onto the ground in minor scenes where he's hinted at. What he's doing is a mystery, but since he sent a declaration of war this episode, we can only assume he's got something up his sleeve.
- This is the first epsiode in the series in which we didn't see Ed at all!

He's doing a combination of both, and only the first stage of transmutation. If he were doing amestrian alchemy only his would have been turned off by father.
Father and Hoenheim are, and I MIGHT be wrong here but I don't think I am, equal in terms of alchemic skill at this point in time.
I think that yes, so that Van doesnt uses his philosofal stone. He uses his original Alchemy with alchaestry.

@@keyblademasterclark No exactly, this coud be spoiler, but Hoenheim uses his knowlege of 400+ years of alchemy and alchaestry and had seen the portal of true, the light when his makes transmutations is blue, and the ligth with the stone is red. The Alchemy in Amestris doesnt is the Real Alchemy.
Even with the stone the alchemist have to uses transmutation circle, like Kimblee.
@@keyblademasterclark i forgot say that the circle is always necesary, but can stay in diferents forma, in the case of Father and Hohenheim, their full bodies can be the "circle of trasnmutantion", for simple alchemy, but in things more complicated, they will need circles, like Father building a circle under Amestris.
@@VerumSpina Stone users don't need a circle. Kimblee, Marcoh, and Cornello all have performed alchemy with a stone but didn't need a circle.

Start savoring episodes in earnest now. The end sneaks up on us quickly and these characters can leave a hole in your heart once they have left. Consider looking into FMA 2003 down the road for another taste. The major players are very recognizable despite the different story direction and outcome, and it has a lot of great music of its own. The Russian song "Bratja" alone will have you crying, and crying again after you check out the song in English.
the footprints at the mines entrance was in the middle of the city so the blizzard wouldn't necessarily wipe them unlike if it's outside the city. Either way that didnt matter cause winry's group had someone who can navigate the mines and not get lost.
Day 113 of recommending the Beyblade openings.
There are the Japanese ones and the English ones. The English version has one opening for a generation, and that for the 1st and 2nd generation. The 3rd gen has one op for one season. But the Japanese version has multiple ops for a season in any gen. You should definitely check both versions out. I made playlists on my channel, so you don't need to search, cause in those compilations are a few off and not in the correct order. Thanks for checking out!
I think it's great we are getting closer to the ending by each episode. I'm quite sure I'm as excited to see you reacting to the end of the FMABH as I am excited to see you starting Re:Zero, which, if I recall correctly, is your next anime to react to on this channel, and that makes me so happy. Re:Zero is one of my top 4 favorite anime along with Mahou Shoujo Madoka Magica, Clannad and Oshi no Ko. It's going to be a wild ride. I'd honestly be surprised if you somehow didn't enjoy it.
But first there's still a little bit more of this anime remaining. I think it's really interesting how Hohenheim compares Pride's state of not being able to go further to that flask from long ago. Basically all that little homunculus in the flask got was just a bigger flask, nothing more, nothing less. In a way he is still inside of a flask even though now the flask is just much bigger.

They don't have to build a new circle, they can use the template for the original they just have to put the correct matrix at the circle points and activate it at the right time.
the BEST anime. not my faviorate. but always always the best anime. my go to recommendation for anyone new to anime. its just so well written. and easy to watch. love this series man, will be sad when it ends.
In other news. LOOK OUT. episode 44 is on the Horizon. it is by far my FAVIORATE episode of the entire series. i wont say anything else. but keep an eye my man.

Find it frustrating, in this show, a lot you have seen in past episodes clicks into places later on and since basically everything is layed out before you at this point, but I've got the feeling you have missed or forgotten so much, that you can't recall any of it when it finally reveals everything you could have known.
To be true nearly non of us conected the dots beforehand, but I get the feeling you will be unable to connect them, even after the reveals, since you seem to miss and forget so much.
Which lessens the experiance you get from the show a lot in my opinion, since the show is well rounded up and designed around it.

idk if it has been said in the comments, but the origins of alchemy in Amestris were brought by Father, and in Xing by Hohenheim. Ling told the brothers about this, but in that moment we didn't know he was talking about them. I'd say that alkahestry is the true form of alchemy since it came from Hohenheim and was the alchemy he learnt in Xerxes.
