- Update on our new to us barnfind XJS. We have been able to make some progress on the car with the goal of making it road worthy after being in storage for years. We have also uncovered some problems that will need to be addressed.

Wedging into the back seat, that's an understatement. But, it does keep the back seat looking new from not being used a lot. Oh well, love it!
Totally agree. Rear seat looks factory fresh! :)
Another excellent Low Tech video. While I don't have a XJS, I have considered them. Good to see what type of problems these cars can have and how to go about remedying the problem

Good job on the video. At least for now it seems that the pump is working ok and the rams are a common failure as well as an easy fix. That is such a cool car.

Those screws, even if they look like Phillips screws, are not. They are Posidrive screws, and you should use the correct bits to screw or unscrew to make sure you're not dammage them.

I’m looking at the same car right now and the interior lights work intermittently I’m told, apparently the battery drains too. Could all that be caused by a bad switch for the lights? I’m thinking it’s like leaving the interior lights on and draining the battery
I would recommend removing and cleaning all the contacts for the bulbs.
The switch is certainly worth investigating too
